Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Started taking Adderall about 3.5 years ago while in my early twenties for ADD. After already being diagnosed at around 7, my parents refused to put me on medicines. I was never able to sit still, go a day without being extremely restless in class, and many times was sent to the office for being loud. After extreme fatigue and no motivation to finish anything, including zero motivation to work, depression, etc., I started Adderall. Has helped so much (at first) things got done, class/work was way smoother. And had interest in things I always struggled to absorb. Cons... tolerance builds fast. Sleep is a must or you feel like a corpse. (After the first few weeks, sleep comes easier, though.) Nervous. Jittery."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I've been on Adderall since I was in high school, so about 5 years. It works well for my concentration and allows me to focus for an extended period of time, such as when studying. This medicine has definitely helped me, but it has a lot of side effects. For me, loss of appetite, euphoria, and dry mouth are the most common. Headaches are frequent, but nothing ibuprofen can't fix. I've been on and off antidepressants that affected the Adderall. When I was on Lexapro, taking Adderall would make me irritable, anxious, and paranoid, sometimes to a full-blown panic attack. Now I'm on Prozac, and the Adderall combination is fine. But I still get anxious and mildly irritable when the 'high' of the Adderall decreases."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "10 days into Mydayis. I have no appetite even in the AM before I take the Mydayis, 50 mg. I have to force-feed myself, even ice cream is a struggle after the 3rd bite. After I take it, I feel lost, can't track conversations, no/minimal recall, I can't even prioritize. My production at work is half of what it was when I was on Vyvanse 60 mg. I don't have any motivation. I want to do things, I just can't. All the feelings of being lazy, feeling bad about myself, despair, and no motivation have come back. I feel agitated and feel that I get angry much faster. My anxiety is worse than it was when I was on Vyvanse. I am constantly bouncing 1 or both of my legs and only bounced them a little when I was on Vyvanse. I am calling my Dr. 1st thing in the morning, and I hope that she puts me back on Vyvanse. There is a shortage of Adderall and Vyvanse right now, so I am hoping I can get it. While Mydayis is only about $3 a month, it isn't worth the savings."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I have taken IR Adderall for several years, but the majority of the generics are horrible, and getting name brand was near impossible plus expensive. So I decided to try Mydayis because my insurance offered it as a covered alternative to Adderall. I have taken Mydayis for 6 weeks, and it is awful. I haven’t been myself at all since starting it; I have been depressed, anxious, and agitated. I’ve had zero motivation to do anything. I could take it in the morning, drink a cup of coffee, and an hour later be drowsy enough to fall asleep on the couch. I don’t recommend Mydayis at all, especially if you’re looking for an alternative to name brand Adderall. Even the worst generic Adderall IR is better than Mydayis."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "This medicine is great for ADHD, but does not work for everyone. In fact, it made me feel angry, increased anxiety I've been dealing with, and can kind of depress you. I recommend Adderall XR (even though I stopped it) because ADHD is challenging, and this medication made me very focused, like robot focused. It was great! But I had to switch to Prozac cause it gave me worse anxiety. If you have a problem with anxiety, I don't recommend it, there are plenty your doctor can prescribe that don't have as much side effects. But all in all, this medicine is great for treating ADHD. Good luck!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I take 5 milligrams as needed for school. I take it right before school, maybe around 6 am, school starts around 7 am. I've noticed extreme dizziness, I get hot so easily, even more anxious, so much more depressed, so tired, terrible headaches, and excessive talking. I wake up in the morning to bump into every possible wall, my vision is completely blacked out. I can't walk for more than a mile without feeling faint. I eat well and drink lots of water (due to a horrible experience with Vyvanse, in which I lost 20 lbs). Not only that, but falling asleep is killer. I've never taken such a small dose and have such poor results."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I have MDD, GAD, and ADHD. The worse trifecta in my opinion. The reason why is because when I start treating one disorder, the others get worse. Well, I had gotten my MDD and GAD in check and on to treat my ADHD, so I was given a very low dose of Adderall XR (10 mg). It was way too over-stimulating for me. I had so much anxiety that I couldn't even focus, which is what Adderall is supposed to help you do. So, I switched over to 5 mg Adderall XR, and while my anxiety didn't shoot up like the last dosage, it still was ineffective."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I was off and on Adderall for a year. I had a psychotic episode a few times with this medication. I went back on it in October of 2017, and I was on 15 mg. When I went on 15 mg, my anxiety was more severe than before, I was really depressed too, and I sometimes lost feeling in my legs. I also lost feeling in my lips if I licked it a few times. I won’t recommend this medication if you have bad anxiety or depression because it can make it like x2."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I was on Adderall XR 20 mg for years! I was told to try Mydayis 25 mg, and 3 hours after I took it, my heart rate was at 150. It was weird because it dipped fast between 150 all the way down to 50 within seconds! It was awful! My anxiety is still super high from the experience I’ve had today!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Mydayis was the most effective drug I have ever taken for my ADHD, and it worked too well. It is very good for getting any kind of work done, but the side effects were so insanely negative that I could not handle taking them any longer. I was prescribed Mydayis 25 mg, and I would take it on the weekdays for school and sports to stay focused, but it had really affected my sleep, my appetite, my mental health drastically declined, I could not think rationally, and I was so irritable all of the time. The Mydayis had worsened my depression, anxiety, and would trigger me to pick my eyelashes and eyebrows (trichotillomania). While it had me wanting to do my work and I was finally motivated, I simply could not take the side effects anymore."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I started on Concerta for ADHD and had poor results, it made me feel out of touch. I started Adderall a week ago at 20 mg twice a day, and I have anxiety and feel some focus. I am wondering if 20 mg is too low a dose and need to go up."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I was on 70 mg Vyvanse for several years, but was constantly complaining that it stopped working by 2 pm every day. So when Mydayis came out, my doctor suggested I try it. It DOES last longer, but that also means constantly being 'on' from the time you take your pill to the time you fall asleep. This led to a non-stop feeling of being overwhelmed and worsened anxiety. I was stuck in a state of exhaustion but never able to rest. I started at 32.5 mg and didn't feel it was helping me concentrate, so I went up to 50 mg and still didn't feel like I was concentrating well. The worst issue I had is a much higher diastolic blood pressure - I'm talking after 4 months on Mydayis, I was 15 points higher than before I started it. Additionally, I started grinding my teeth and clenching my jaw, leading my dentist to comment on some chipping of my teeth from grinding. I'm switching back to Vyvanse. Mydayis is not worth it - be careful what you wish for, I guess!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "This drug completely ruined my life. I started taking the drug when I was 12 until about 25. Everything I have done academically has been due to Adderall. I have a degree in I/T and am working on a civil engineering master's degree. Don't get it confused, you can be fine for a year or even years on this drug, but it will catch up to you. After I quit taking it, I was back to a 12-year-old academically and performance-wise. It made my real ADHD ten times worse without the drug and gave me crippling anxiety. I quit taking it and developed a cocaine problem, then a drinking problem that almost killed me. I attribute each of these addictions to being on legal speed for 13 years. It's speed - there is no way around it."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "It took a while to find the right problems, then the right medicines, then the right dosage, but once we did, even my husband could tell the difference, and I could too. It was an immediate difference, the next day with the Clonazepam, I felt an instant calmness and togetherness that I had not felt before. I take 40 mg (2 x 20 mg XR) in the morning with Clonazepam 1 - 1 mg tab because I have panic attacks and anxiety sometimes. Then 2 - 1 mg Clonazepam at night, which relaxes me and I am able to not have nightmares and can sleep. Without the medicines, including the Lexapro 20 mg, I have terrible depression, nightmares, cannot concentrate, the post-traumatic stress disorder takes over, and the hypervigilance is awful. The drugs have made such a positive difference, and my husband agrees."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "So I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and am taking Wellbutrin, however, it wasn't doing enough, so I requested to try a stimulant, specifically this one since the ratings are so high and predominantly positive. Within minutes of taking 10mg, the anxiety was... just way too much. I also didn't really know how to feel or what to do. It did help me with focusing... better than almost anything else I've tried. Then after that, I went away. About a half an hour later, I started to feel better after I ate something. The remainder of the day, I was so tired I just laid in bed. It works, don't get me wrong, but I just can't put my faith in an addictive/physically dependent med. I stopped taking it. Gonna try Strattera next."

I was not a nail biter either! Makes me feel a bit nervous too! Works longer than Vyvanse, but not worth the side effects."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I'm 18 and have been taking Adderall XR 30 mg for 10 years now. When I take it, I can focus on schoolwork and my job and actually succeed. I like being able to do well in school and work, but lately, the side effects have seemed to intensify like crazy. I'd always experienced the loss of appetite, but now the sweating, anxiety, and depression are all starting to wreak havoc on my life. I'm not sociable at all when I'm on this medication. I feel like I'm more of a robot. And if I get distracted for a second and start something else, I will focus on that instead of getting my work done. I've tried other medications in the past, but none do the job like Adderall."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "This drug provides great concentration for a couple of hours. However, after a couple of hours, I predictably experience extreme anxiety, depression, and irritability. It can easily cause you to get into an argument with someone you love because you are so easily irritated and frustrated by anything. The anxiety is the worst. Being a previous smoker, Adderall increases my craving to smoke by tenfold (a habit I have quit and hardly have cravings for anymore). I also find that the drug clouds my ability to think when doing brain-intensive work such as programming, math, or even typing. I think that might be related to the dosage, though. I don't recommend this medication to anyone (other than those with severe ADHD)."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I am a nursing student and a pharmacy technician, so I see all the new drugs that hit the market like when this one did. I am up long hours since I have classes in the mornings until the afternoon, then I go to work for at least 7 hours per day after that. I have always had issues with school and ADHD. I finally decided to try medications when I was a freshman in college. I thought this medication would be perfect since it lasts so long. I hated having to take Adderall so many times a day, and I would forget to take them all the time. Once I spoke to my psychiatrist and started the Mydayis, I was sweating on my face so much, and I had some heart palpitations, which triggered my asthma constantly. I didn't even feel a big difference in my focus. I was already on the highest strength, so there was nowhere else to go. We decided to go with Vyvanse, and it's working great. I felt more awake on the medication, but not focused. I still felt squirrely and anxious."

For ADHD "I'm 40, and have been on every milligram of Adderall and onset level. They can and will dehydrate you, cause headaches, anxiety, and irritability. BECAUSE YOU'RE OVERDOING OR MISUSING IT! Why are you surprised? Your doctor hopefully warned you about the side effects, so did the pharmacy as they stapled that huge pamphlet of documents on that little white bag, describing and warning you. Amphetamines are strong. So use them right, because they are very beneficial for us that truly need them."
