What is Hyperlipoproteinemia Type IIb, Elevated LDL VLDL:  Hyperlipoproteinemia Type IIb has elevated LDL, cholesterol, and triglycerides, due to dysregulation of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase (HMG-CoA reductase), the rate-controlling enzyme in cholesterol biosynthesis.
