For Schizophrenia "I'm getting Invega, serious side effects in libido (I'm a male), sexual dysfunction, gained 30 kg plus, I can't do sports due to muscle stiffness, and killed all thoughts out of my head, barely can hold a job. No emotions also, I'm a hollow empty shell, a zombie. Can't get drunk. Took my life away. But to say something good, it helped with delusions. I think it is too much price for it."

For Schizophrenia "I was on Invega Sustenna for a little over a year, then switched to Invega Trinza. I'm doing way better than I was. I'm off all my pills and just take the one every 3-month shot. I'm still disabled, but the medicine helps relieve the symptoms. I would recommend this to anyone who's already been on Invega and Invega Sustenna. It can't take your disability away, but it can help you."

For Schizophrenia "I was on Invega Sustenna for over a year before being on Trinza. I was committed to the hospital about two years ago and was resistant to taking medication. I did allow them to give me a shot, not knowing what it was at the time. Within a month, my delusions cleared up and I stopped having auditory or visual hallucinations. At first, I gained a little weight, but after switching to a vegan diet, I lost a total of 40 lbs without any extra exercise. I've held down a steady job and have not had a manic episode since I've been taking the shot. Today, my arm is a little sore as I got the shot yesterday, but it's a small price to pay for keeping me sane. I would highly recommend this drug to anyone that has been diagnosed with schizophrenia."

For Schizophrenia "It has made me feel so high all the time. Blurry vision, can’t focus, can’t talk without slurring my words. Life doesn’t feel real anymore. My joints ratchet and I can’t touch metal anymore. I hate being controlled over a drug that has ruined my life. This company needs to be sued. It’s a cruel world."

For Schizophrenia "I have been on this injection since 2017. Received the monthly injections for about three months before my doctor noticed my remarkable stability in mood and made the switch to the tri-monthly injection. When switched to the tri-monthly injection, I noticed that in the third month of being on it, my symptoms of paranoia and delusions would flare up. I've learned to live with it. However, my sex drive is completely gone and my menstrual cycle is too light. As well, there are nights that my insomnia flares up. I have not gained any weight, but I haven't lost any either. To counter all the bad side effects, I have to say that this is the longest that I have been out of the hospital. Besides the odd paranoia/delusions in the third month, I don't hear any voices like I used to or experience a full-blown manic episode (diagnosis is schizoaffective with bipolar tendencies)."

For Schizophrenia "This drug is the worst thing that has happened to me. At first, I was overmedicated, this drug caused my tongue to tic the upper part of my mouth. I would have all sorts of hallucinations and delusions, which have gradually gone away as the medicine has been reduced to the recommended dose. Not only to mention, I was only experiencing delusions prior to medication. They have gone away now, but it seems as though my thoughts echo, mimic, and align with sounds I hear. Also, it feels as though there are bugs under my skin due to micro muscle spasm. The worst part about this drug is that it causes you to zone into things, like stare at things or become immobile in your line of vision. Which this only happens occasionally, it really is difficult to drive or hold down a job. I have heightened energy levels with adding Abilify. As this Invega Trinza causes couch lock, not no energy, no motivation, and no drive. At least on this medication, I don’t experience sexual dysfunction."

For Schizophrenia "I have been on Invega Trinza for almost four years for my schizophrenia. The first side effect I had was weight gain of over 70 lbs. I stopped having my period due to high prolactin. I also found out I have high triglycerides, high cholesterol, and a low white blood cell count. I have schizophrenia, so I do need this medicine. But seriously, weighing the side effects I have against the mental stability I have."

For Schizophrenia "I was very tired, gained weight, had drug-induced Parkinsonism, Tardive Dyskinesia, gained 30 pounds in a year, slurred speech, delayed thought, sadness, huge breast growth. Started taking NAC, my memory has improved, I'm awake, much more sociable, I don't eat gluten or sugar/complex carbohydrates, and I drink filtered spring water. I need to lose 20 pounds. My skin is improving. I still want to get off these antipsychotic medications, I think they are super harmful, but 'NAC' (N-Acetyl Cysteine) was a game changer. Your life will change with NAC and vitamin C and calcium/magnesium. Consult a good general practitioner (GP)...get a blood test. Check your prolactin levels, Invega blocks the D2 dopamine receptors which cause prolactin levels to increase."

"Firstly, I was treated with Invega Trinza due to a traumatic brain injury. My dosage was once every 3 months at 234 mg, but a total of 819 mg. I was treated for 6 months. I was very slow, tired, and honestly mostly sleeping for about 14 hours a day. I would say a lack of motivation and an extreme lack of focus. The number one thing that bothered and devastated me the most was the increase in weight gain. For example, I’m 5'6 and my normal, fit weight is a little under 115 lbs. With an intense amount of workouts and barely eating like 850 calories a day, I still gained 15 lbs. My weight was now 130 lbs. I was doing sprint intervals and running at an average of 6-7 miles every day. Also, I was strength training for about 45-60 mins every day. Also, prior to working out at an extraneous amount, I ate a very healthy diet. Finally, since stopping this medication, it took my body about a month to start functioning normally and get back down to my normal weight at 115 lbs."

For Schizophrenia "I'm on Invega Trinza for schizophrenia, and it's not bad. I can function somewhat well, but the problem is the side effects such as no sex drive, anhedonia, and no emotions. This is really hard to deal with, but I can't go off it anymore because I already tried and got another psychotic episode."

For Schizophrenia "Well, what can I say? Been on this drug almost a year for schizoaffective. I believe it’s 254 mg every 3 months. I’ve been the most depressed I’ve ever been. Sleeping all day, don’t want to get out of bed, no thoughts, strange dreams, no motivation, reduced sex drive, difficulty finding pleasure in things I used to enjoy. Just an overall bad experience. I can function perfectly fine with medication or drugs, but they told me if I stop taking it, I will get “unwell,” which is rubbish! Enough is enough. I will be refusing treatment from here on out."

For Schizophrenia "I've been getting the Invega Trinza injection for about 3 years now. My life beforehand: continuous hospital visits, absolutely no stability, and no order in terms of thought. Every symptom of bipolar/schizophrenia I exuded. While undergoing this treatment, I've been able to finish my degree, obtain 2 licenses, and formulate and create memories that weren't just about hospital visits. There are downsides. In the last year, I've started getting headaches frequently. I've gained 50 lbs, and I don't like socializing with others too much, and sometimes it can be awkwardly detached. I have what seems to be hypergraphia, but in my head/thinking (the only way to put it); compulsive and sometimes impulsive behavior/reactions. So... do I recommend this injection? I guess I would if nothing else has helped (I'm taking an 819 mg injection). It's also convenient if you don't like taking daily pills. Forgot to mention, my hallucinations are obsolete, but I still experience bouts of depression."

For Schizophrenia "Trinza and Invega Sustenna have been the only medications that have worked for me. I had almost no symptoms for a year, which was great. I don't know if my schizophrenia is getting stronger or if the medication is losing its effectiveness. I had to add a second antipsychotic (Latuda 40 mg) to manage the emerging voices and delusions. I'm giving this a 9 because it gave me the year I needed to put myself back together to be ready. The side effects I've had were only pacing back and forth and shaking my leg."

For Schizophrenia "On Invega Trinza, and paranoia has gone. Absolutely love the convenience of only having to take it once every 3 months! Some pain at the injection site, but only lasts a day or two. Unfortunately, I have started lactating and am not sure if I should stay on it because of this side effect. I do sleep a lot and eat a lot on this medication, but it's so much better than when I'm not on it and have to deal with schizophrenic symptoms."

For Schizophrenia "I have been on Invega Trinza for a while. My mental disabilities have been improving. I was off and on for like 10 years now (with taking medicines). I don't have the paranoid feelings anymore, like people are out to get me, like it was. Although I haven't been getting much sleep lately. Overall, the thought of it is good for your mind, but the side effects are just as bad."

For Schizophrenia "Have been on Trevicta 175 mg for 3 years, Paliperidone 10 years. Tidying up the garden is no longer a pain. Traveling abroad is excellent, getting into the USA from the UK is no problem as you carry no medicines. Appetite is not an issue, you don't eat to compensate for this drug, Trevicta. Stay away from takeaways and fast food as this is the main source of weight gain. You can drive a car if your doctor OKs this. Remember common sense: if you have a bad day with side effects, don't drive that day until you feel better. You can read a book quite easily, etc., watch television, see a movie in town. Do some exercise, walk a mile if you can now and again. Life can be an uphill struggle, you fight your mental condition in part with medicine, that way, you keep your head above the waterline. All antipsychotic drugs have side effects, none are perfect."

For Schizophrenia "I am from Hungary, so from Europe. Since 2017, I have been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, depression, and anxiety. I am on INVEGA TRINZA 525 MG, which in Hungary is called TREVICTA. It got rid of all my symptoms. I really would recommend this drug for everyone. Pills are bad for me, but this Depot Injection, only 4 times a year, is magic! I really like it. Very clear head, I am focused, I can meet my friends, and I'm not sleeping too much during the day. It also removed my suicidal thoughts, which is very important with psychosis! Since getting this drug, I want to live more and more :) so it's really helpful :) Thx for my new pdoc :) For sleep, I have been taking 20 mg Olanzapine Teva and 2 mg Rivotril."

"I have bipolar schizoaffective disorder. Tried a lot of pill forms of various medications that had terrible side effects or made my delusions worse. I was on Invega Sustenna for about a year and a half and noticed the effects during the last week of the shot were kind of wearing off. Now that I’m on Trinza, I’ve had a few sexual side effects, but made all my delusions and paranoia/anxiety disappear aside from the occasional Xanax requirement. I also take risperidone 2 mg as needed for the occasional paranoia. It’s given me my life back, though. Costs way too much unless you’re on good insurance. The shot also kind of hurts, but I am terrified of needles and I can handle it. It’s worth it for sure."

"My experience has been overall very good with Invega Sustenna and Trinza. When I first got the injection, I wanted to throw up every day for 6 months in a row. Then I got used to it and was able to finish college, and then also finish Graduate School. This medication does make you somewhat complacent and lazy. It makes you be more reserved and less intrusive. Your thoughts become a bit slower and speech does slow down as well. I was on 117 mg of Sustenna and now I'm on 410 mg of Trinza. I tried the Hafeyra but my doctor didn't know the dosage was unavailable and gave me the shot anyways. I'd recommend anyone who has a pattern of receiving disorderly conduct tickets and/or violent behavior to get this injection for treatment. It could save you from a crime you may commit in the future."

For Schizophrenia "This drug is very effective in treating my SAD. The only problem I have is that nurses don't take me seriously when I ask them the solution needs to be shaken vigorously for at least 15 seconds. I had my injection yesterday and reminded the nurse, in which she responded with, 'I've administered this drug for a long time' and haven't shaken it. You can't do this with people that have SAD! Very disappointed. Now I have to go for three months wondering if the drug is working."

For Schizophrenia "This drug works really well to control my positive symptoms like hallucinations, delusions, and paranoia. I still have breakthrough symptoms, but only when very fatigued or stressed, but nowhere near as intense as off medication. I have managed to lose 2 stone (in 6 months) of the 6 stone I put on from taking the Abilify injection. I feel less fatigued, and insomnia isn’t as bad as when taking the other medication. I still have less interest in social situations and relationships, and my sex drive is nonexistent compared to before my illness. All 3 are symptoms of schizophrenia I know can be made worse by medications like these. The main negative is it has increased my prolactin levels to 4 times that of a healthy non-pregnant woman."

For Schizophrenia "I've been on Invega Trinza for 2.5 years and have schizophrenia. It has gotten rid of about 98% of my symptoms, but I sleep all day and I've gained 130 pounds. I'm just happy to get rid of my delusions and hallucinations, but I wish the side effects weren't so great."

For Schizophrenia "I am male, 40, and was put on this Invega Trinza for schizoaffective disorder, after being unsuccessful with, at the time, 900 mg Seroquel. I was given Invega Sustenna, 234. Within a day, I was out of psychosis. No side effects. I continued getting it after being released (Sustenna 234). Worked great. I eventually went on Invega Trinza. I've tried Risperdal, Seroquel, Abilify, and some other ones. Started Seroquel (2008-2017). Since 2017 till August 2022, I've had success on Invega Trinza (3-month shot). I feel nice and calm, not drugged out at all. The increase in prolactin causes sexual dysfunction. The doctor added Abilify (10 mg). Less sex drive but still active. I've tried a lot, so I was broken in as far as trying antipsychotics. If this is your first try on antipsychotics, you will probably have different results. I'm also on Effexor 150, Lamictal 300, Abilify 10, Naltrexone 50, and Lipitor. No more depression/mania. Be warned, once you take this med for more than a year, it's going to be really hard getting off it, if you can. Good luck!"

"When I first took this injection, I don't really remember all of the effects it has had on me, but my mind was really quiet and serene, kind of numb, with a little bit of brain fog too. It has also increased my appetite, making me gain weight. The only problem with this medication is that it can enlarge breasts (male or female), so yeah, I have mixed feelings about this medication."

For Schizophrenia "I've been on Invega Sustenna for 7 years, monthly for the first 6 years and the 7th year Invega Trinza. I've stayed the course with Invega because it calms me down and stops my obsessive thoughts. If I don't take Invega (Trinza or Sustenna), I become anxious, depressed, and suicidal, obsessive, and manic during extreme weather (winter/summer) (I feel better during fall/spring). My original issues are unspecified psychosis/cannabis-induced psychosis. Taking the injection helps me articulate myself clearer, be more rational, and reduces my stress tremendously. I usually clench my jaws like crazy as a full-time worker and student. But, Invega relaxes my mind and the jaw clenching pretty much stops. I am very sick, my thoughts are a burden, and I'm always stressed over little things, mishearing people's voices, and taking offense to things that were never said. But, as I'm on Invega, I've been ignoring these bad thoughts without effort."
