Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had itching for a few days, so saw my doctor. A test revealed I had a yeast infection, and after discussing it, my doctor recommended Monistat as I cannot be sure I’m not pregnant. My itchiness was mild by the time I got the results today, but within 5 minutes of inserting the medication, my insides are in agony. I have never been so itchy, not even at the worst of the infection! There has to be a better alternative!"

I was fine until I peed for the first time since using it, and I am in severe pain, terrible itching, and internal burning, and even bleeding. For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had pain urinating, so I went to urgent care and was given antibiotics. I went the next day to primary care, was advised to get something for a yeast infection. I got a script for Monistat 1 and applied it and had severe burns now for almost 4 days! I will never use this again! I have bleeding sores. It’s the most horrible pain! Peeing is almost impossible! I am so angry and annoyed! Men never have to deal with this stuff! Please don’t ever use this product. Save yourself!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used a suppository like Monistat a few years ago when I had my first yeast infection. Since then, I have taken an oral medication prescribed by my OB. Right now, I’ve got a crazy schedule and thought I had no time to see the doctor, and I knew I had a yeast infection (from antibiotics), so I decided to treat at home. I inserted my first dose of Monistat 3 Day, and within 2 minutes, I experienced the most horrific pain of my life... burning, itching, shooting pain through every crevice inside my vagina. There are no words to describe the excruciating sensation. I have a considerably high tolerance for pain, but I was screaming and crying. I spent 45 minutes in the shower, 30 in the bathroom trying to get it all out, and I am still in pain. The itching and burning are lessened after my ‘excavation,’ but have not completely stopped. Lesson learned: make time to go to the doctor. Monistat is an abomination and should be destroyed on sight. Never, ever will I use it again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Would give a 0 if given the choice. DO NOT USE!! I purchased Monistat 3-day treatment in hopes of curing my yeast infection. Used the treatment on the first day, and it seemed to work, but woke up the next morning completely swollen and in severe pain. Tried to go potty and to walk my dogs and could barely make it down the street. Used the second dose, and I’ve been in extreme pain ever since. In and out of the shower trying to get this garbage out of my body. When I’m not in the shower, I’ve had an ice pack on me. This is the worst pain I’ve felt. Feels like a chemical burn :(. Please stay away from Monistat!!!"

At the end, I will offer a relief method that you may or may not know of, but I had many awful YI before I finally found it, so hopefully, it helps somebody. Since this stuff is so powerful, it begins going to work like the seven dwarfs on your coochie right away. It will start slaughtering the infection, literally. So yes, the burn, the itch, and agony following are completely normal. If you notice basically anything healing, it will itch. So I have learned a baking soda bath works wonders. Instant relief. Sit for as long as you need and hope you feel better soon, the razor-sharp burn and the ants in your panties will be gone before you know it."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I did the first dose of Monistat 3 last night...don't know if I can finish. Oh, the burn! I know the warning label says there might be some burning, but that label needs to be in huge font and bright red...no way was this product developed by a woman. To anyone saying 'the burn is just cleaning out the YI, stop being a baby' (I've seen a couple of those on here), they must have been lucky to not have this awful side effect. There is absolutely no reason for it to hurt that badly. Beware! This product will make you feel like someone has taken a blowtorch to your vagina! You'll feel like it's melting and slowly dripping out in an endless stream of pain and despair! You'll lay awake desperately trying not to scratch as you whimper in soul-rending agony! And whatever you do, don't pee after you've applied the torture device disguised as a medication - did you think it was bad before? A thousand flaming suns will burst into being all over all your most sensitive bits down there!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was my first experience with YI, and I had no idea what to buy, and someone recommended Monistat, so I went to Target and picked up the 3-day treatment. I got home, took a shower, and 30 seconds after I put the medicine up my cooter, I felt like someone just lit a fire in my vagina, it was excruciating pain. I immediately got in the shower, trying to rinse it as much as I could out of me to at least stop some of the ridiculous pain I was in. That gave me some relief, but as soon as I stepped out, there it was again, but this time even worse. I was in tears, crying to my boyfriend because of the pain I was in, considered going to the ER, but I got an ice pack and put it between my legs, and about an hour later, I was fine. But, you know, gotta follow through with the medicine, so day 2, here we go. Immediately after, I regret my decision. Still in pain at this moment. NEVER USING THIS PRODUCT AGAIN!!"

After inserting the Monistat 1 capsule, I was in intense pain for about three hours, needing to take Advil and lie down. I then had a plastic-like discharge that looked like strips of plasticky tape. I actually felt better the next day. But a week later, I had to go to urgent care, as I had pain and more white discharge. I have never seen anything like the discharge I had that day. It was like big white clumps of cottony and plastic-like stuff. The doctor seemed surprised and confused, as all the swab tests came back negative, I have no infection! I believe the ovule somehow stuck inside of me or misfired. If I had the packaging and receipt, I would surely write the company a letter and let them know. I either had an older product, or something went wrong at the factory with this one. I will never use Monistat again, my gynecologist shook her head when I said I used it instead of coming to see her."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "At least I'm not alone! How can this product still be sold when all it does is cause pain and agony when it's supposed to provide relief? Fire ants is what I thought after inserting the medicine... it was like fire ants inside my vagina plus a more intense itch than anything!! I actually started to feel sick to my stomach, it itched and burned so badly. At least now it just burns like I accidentally shoved a bunch of ghost peppers up there, and most of the itch has subsided. I had an extremely mild yeast infection and took Monistat 1 with the pearl and had no issues and actually felt some relief. Thinking I would be ahead of the game and just 'make sure' it was gone, I bought Monistat 3 (the cream) 2 days later just in case. Worst mistake of my life. I wanted to die from the excruciating pain it immediately caused me. I've never jumped in the shower so fast. I would never use the cream version again."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was a mistake. The creation of this product, and me choosing to use it. I saw the warnings and didn’t heed them. I thought, “Oh, I have a high pain tolerance, it will be fine!” Oh my, was I wrong. I’m talking full ghost pepper fire in the nether regions, itchiness that made my spine seize up, and all other manner of unbearable pain. I was able to tough it out for a few hours, but after that, I just had to get it out. I sat on the toilet and got as much out as I could that way before running ice-cold bath water on the whole area. When it was numb enough for my tastes, I rubbed coconut oil all over. Trust me on this, coconut oil with a few optional drops of tea tree oil diluted in it are your best friends in this situation. It didn’t fully take away all of the burning or itching, but it definitely made it better. Don’t be like me and use the product even though people warned not to - genuinely, it doesn’t matter how high your pain tolerance is, this will make you suffer."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So about 30 minutes ago I applied the Monistat 1 into my cat. I just want to say I'm LITERALLY in agony. I feel like sharp pains on the inside of my walls. I have never felt this much pain. It’s currently 12 am and I'm silently feeling the pain next to my boyfriend. It feels like there’s a fork being rubbed in there. I'm not sure when it will pass, but it hasn’t. I'm not sure if it will even work. I will update you all. I do not recommend this pain to anybody, there has to be another way."
