Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "After reading all the bad reviews, honestly, I was scared to try it, but after trying it, I have nothing but good comments. It did burn for about 1 hour, but it went away, and it wasn't bad at all. The more severe the infection, the more it is going to burn and itch, keep that in mind. I used it overnight, and by morning, my infection was gone! Amazing product :)"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my God, it’s like hot fiberglass and fire ants scratching up my whoha. The doctor visit can’t come fast enough. I’m contemplating going to the ER. Is there anything that can be done to soothe this itchy, prickly fire? Can practically see my delicate layers melting away. HELP!!! Seriously, can we sue these people!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I decided to go with the Monistat 1 because I didn’t want to do a 3 or 7-day treatment. It’s 8:13 am, and I'm lying in bed crying in severe pain, itching like crazy and sleepy because my meds (unrelated to a YI) have been wanting to knock me out for hours ago. But I can’t sleep!! This is the worst vaginal pain I’ve had, and I’ve birthed 3 children. I can’t stop squirming either, this is way worse than the freaking yeast infection. I’m going to have to get an ice pack to soothe my vagina, horrible treatment. I wish they offered a pill OTC that could cure a simple YI because this is ridiculous, pure torture is what it is."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so I've had my YI for about 5 days now, and I've finally bought Monistat 7. Oh my! After I inserted my first application, I felt instant discomfort. I was so scared because it was burning and itching, and you really can't do anything to stop it. It's been about 30 mins, and I have been putting cold pieces of tissue on my lady parts, and it had been helping. Hopefully, tomorrow is easy. Wish me luck, ladies!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "As I lay here weighing the benefits of clawing the inside of my own vagina vs. continuing to let the medicine take effect, I wish more than anything I never inserted this devil cream inside my body in the first place. This is night one for me, and I'm just going to tough out the YI and not use it again. EVER. I can't do another night of this. The mild itching I had before is NOTHING compared to the itching I have now. If there were sandpaper near me, I would use it. Repeatedly. Inside and out. I can feel my heart beating in my vagina. That's the pain I'm feeling."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am on antibiotics, and the doctor warned it was a possibility that I could get a yeast infection with how much I was on. I was dreading this because I remember getting a yeast infection in my teens and it being unbearable. I bought Monistat one day today, the day after symptoms started. It wasn’t even really bothering me. Once I put it in...OMG! The itch is unreal. I don’t have burning, but my gosh, the itching is horrible. I want to take a baby bottle dish scrubber and shove it up there. It is just as bad as I remember when I used it as a teen. I remember it working, but man, I don't know if I can stand the itch. It didn’t itch like this before inserting the medicine."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Day 1: MAKE SURE TO LAY DOWN!!! Don’t let it get outside your vagina. Put as far back inside you as possible. It burned and itched like lava, like fire ants in your vagina. Take pain meds and go to sleep after. Day 2: The burning and itching I had from the yeast infection was very minimal, and I sat in the car all day for a drive. Inserted and laid for five minutes but forgot to go pee beforehand. After peeing, two minutes of being up, the itching and burning intensified twice as worse as yesterday’s. Day 3: I only noticed any symptoms when it came to putting cream on. I stayed laid down for 25 minutes after inserting it. It didn’t burn, but medium to high itching still. Let you know more on day 4."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought the Monistat 7 since I am pregnant and my doctor recommended it for my yeast infection. I have the plastic applicators, and I took a bath and applied the cream inside with the applicator. I am currently squirming around as I'm writing this. I don't understand why it feels like this. I'm trying to stick it out in hopes that it is killing the infection, but I seriously want to scrape it all out. It is burning... not too painful, but enough to drive me INSANE. I mean, I cannot stay in one position for more than 10 seconds. It's like an itch that can't be scratched way up in there. It's literally torturing me. My advice is to try something else."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you're having major burning or itching after using Monistat, apply a dime-size amount of plain Greek yogurt to the inside of your vagina where the discomfort is, and almost immediately the pain will go away, and you'll be able to go or fall back asleep. You may need to apply a little more depending on how bad the discomfort is. Trust me. It works."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve had a yeast infection for about a month now, called my gyno, got a prescription for Diflucan and thought all was right. I was wrong. After the itching and irritation came back, I decided on a one-night treatment of Monistat suppository. When I woke up, let me tell you, I was in agony. My vagina has swelled to be about twice its normal size, and now my further nether regions were on fire too. I called my doctor right away, she got me in on her lunch break and told me to never, ever use Monistat because there is a chemical irritant in it, causing you to become more itchy and swollen. Not only did Monistat make it worse, I now had chemical burns on my anus, butt crack, and butt cheeks (where the cream leaked to while sleeping). I will NEVER use this product ever again, and I advise anyone who thinks they have a yeast infection to NOT self-diagnose and just call your doctor or go to urgent care."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used Monistat 7 two months ago, and I felt the itchy sensation everyone is talking about. I felt it the first three nights, and on the fourth night, no itchiness at all. I think the itchiness is because the cream is killing the fungal infection. I'm using the cream again just to make sure it has all gone for good. The last doses, there is no itchiness or any discomfort. I highly recommend it."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "It ain't that bad, y'all. Yes, it itches. Yes, it's uncomfortable. It's worth getting rid of Candida. I'd use the stuff daily if it meant never getting another yeast infection. Pro Monistat tip: before inserting Monistat, spread Aloe Vera gel and Tea Tree oil onto a few maxi pads and put them in the fridge. When the discomfort hits, slap one of those suckers on for instant relief. Don't freeze them or you're gonna freezer burn the bajeezus out of your hoo-hah."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was having vaginal itching/discharge, and I knew it was a yeast infection. So, I decided instead of going to my OB-GYN I would try this over-the-counter product. I can honestly say that my vagina is on fire! If you do not handle discomfort well, then DO NOT use this product. Once I inserted the medication, it took about 3 minutes before my vagina lit up into flames. Once I laid down, I knew something did not feel right. The inside, outside, and even my butt was burning and itching like I had been attacked by fire ants. This discomfort lasts for a solid 30 minutes before I can finally fall asleep. I will say that the product helps with the yeast infection itself. However, the burning/itching from the product itself is miserable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the Monistat 1 combo pack! Wish I had researched this before using. BIG MISTAKE! I inserted and within a few mins I am itching and burning so bad I want to rip everything out! I feel like I have to pee, but I know I don’t. I’ve been laying here rolling and fidgeting, played 100 games of solitaire, and my husband keeps asking me why I’m so fidgety. Told him my hoo-ha is on fire. I told him apparently it is normal! He is wondering why we would do this to ourselves! I told him if we knew it was gonna do this, we would have never used it! I’m going crazy!!! The pain is probably 2/10 compared to birthing 3 children. The irritation of it and me feeling like I’m gonna seriously rip it off is a 10/10. The effectiveness is -10 as it made everything 10 times worse, and I’m still going to end up going to the doctor."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "What happened to this formula?! I've never had issues with this brand before. And just like most of the comments on here, I inserted the cream and everything was fine until I stood up, the cream naturally started to leak out, and immediately it started to burn, but it was the unbearable itchiness that sucks. Then I came on this site and now wonder if there has been a bad batch! Complaints are almost all recent--July 2017. I used ice to help with relief... Monistat, what's going on?! Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "'A mild increase of vaginal burning, itching, or irritation may occur.' First off, let me tell you that this statement is complete rubbish. Never have I felt the flames of Hades in my nether regions before, nor the horrific itch of a mosquito plague accompanying it. I read that the itching subsides as the treatment wears on, so I will tough it out. However, that does not stop my desire to punch the creators in the face."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Same as most on here. 3 am laying in bed, reading reviews, debating on whether or not I should go wash this medicine out. The burning and itching are so much worse than it was before I inserted the cream. Day 1 of the 3-day process, don't think I'll be using anymore. Scared now after reading about chemical burns."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ahhhhh!!!!! Bought Monistat 7 and been using it since Saturday. It's now Wednesday. I've had a yeast infection (YI) before, went through a doctor, got it over the counter, prescribed no issues. I had a bit of irritation, then I knew I was having symptoms of a YI, so I went and got Monistat 7, and as soon as I used the one insert, it immediately burns and itches! Which my YI wasn't even burning and itching at that point alone. The medicine made it so itchy, and of course, I did it right before bed and can't sleep because it's nonstop for at least 45 minutes. Today, I had zero symptoms of YI, but I wanted to follow through the 7 days and literally just used it again, and instant itching!!! I'm not sure if this is working or not, lol. But it is horrible, the itching!!! Like, the medicine makes you feel worse to me than my actual YI, ha."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "The reaction to the Monistat was much, much, much, much, much worse than the yeast infection symptoms to the point I dreaded time to use the product each night. It’s like injecting liquid yeast infection into your vagina! The directions say to apply some onto the outside if you have itching, but it seems like a cruel joke. It will only make it itch worse. So much regret. Itching, burning, and stomach cramping. Lesson learned, I won’t make this mistake again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a little itch that wouldn't go away, so I got the generic 3-day cream. I've done this many times in the past, messy but no big deal. I put it in, walk to my bed, and it felt a bit tingly. Then it was like a cartoon thermometer going up until the mercury explodes. I was literally clutching my vagina as I realized there was no going back, I didn't have a douche, and that applicator goes way up there, so there's no way to get it out. The burning and the itching were out of control. It just kept getting worse. It feels like an allergic reaction; you feel panicked, and you want to crawl out of your skin. I finally took a sleeping pill, put an ice pack between my legs, and passed out. I woke up and hobbled to the bathroom. My vulva felt like it just got a chemical peel. Maybe it will be more youthful and less saggy now! They changed the recipe on this stuff, guys. How this poison got through focus groups is beyond me. Some misogynist person got paid off for sure to let this get on the shelves."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I never share reviews, but I thought I had to since there are so many bad ones. I let my infection go on for about a week because I just thought I was itchy because of my period. So when my period ended and the itching didn't, I immediately knew. I went to Target to get the Monistat 3 because I’ve used it before and it’s worked. The first night is always the worst, but for me it’s not unbearable. I put it in and lay down, about an hour later, the internal itching begins. It only lasts about 15 minutes. Second night, do the same thing, itching begins and only lasts like 15 minutes. Third night, no itching. So if you think you can deal with the 15 minutes a day of intense internal itching, choose the 3-day. If not, I recommend getting the 7-day. Everybody's experiences are different, some people get no side effects and others get bad side effects, however, they are much more likely to leave a comment. DON'T FREAK OUT."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was a bit skeptical about trying this one because of all the reviews saying it caused burning and itching worse than the infection itself. But I had the worst burning and itching sensation ever and didn’t have access to a doctor right away, so I had no choice. I was up all night because I was in so much pain. Then finally at 7 am, I went to Walmart to buy this product. I inserted the little egg at 7:43 am. And I put the cream everywhere on the outside. I instantly felt relief and was able to go to sleep. It’s now 5:16 pm, and I’m still feeling okay. Still a little discomfort, but a lot better than what I was feeling before. I read from the reviews it takes a couple of days for it to fully disappear, so hoping these next few days fly by."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first time using Monistat 3, and it works GREAT and FAST. The first night I used it, I was experiencing itching and overall irritation, and the next morning I had very, very minor irritation and no itching, as if the infection cleared overnight. I would definitely use this again! It works wonders."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Monistat 7 is my go-to. I'm on the first night, and I timed how long the intense burning/itching lasted (29 min). I rated the product so high because of its effectiveness. I hate yeast infections, and I try to avoid them at all costs (probiotics, yogurt, cotton undies, using the same soap, etc.), but like others, I was prescribed antibiotics due to an oral surgery, and voila, yeast city. Tips: cold rag placed on area or fan blowing straight on your area while you're laying on your back. Patting area gently helps as well. Try not to get the medicine on the outside of your vagina. If you've had the yeast infection for a while or if it's just aggressive, chances are your area is dry and skin is probably irritated...use some kind of lubricant (I use A&D ointment), not much of it, but it may help with comfort. And yes, it really, really sucks at first, but it beats the alternative, in my opinion. Speaking from a woman who had gone to the emergency room after using Monistat 1...you can do it."
