For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have used Equate 7 Day before with success, did have some burning a bit when I inserted, but it was tolerable. I used Monistat 7 last night, and within two hours I was awake with unbelievable burning and itching. I couldn't sleep, it was so uncomfortable. The pain I felt was enough that I almost panicked. I wiped off as much as I could and used a cool rag to help. I finally got an ice pack and put that there for 20-minute increments. It was miserable. I was up for hours, then finally was able to sleep around 4 a.m. I feel swollen and irritated this morning, with some itching, but I walk like I've got on a full diaper. I'm seriously not sure what to do now... can't do another night like that."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "(DO NOT WAIT UNTIL WEEKS LATER TO SELF-DIAGNOSE OR IT WILL BURN) I noticed my vagina getting swollen on night one. Night two, the itching was UNBEARABLE, and I couldn’t sleep, so I made my husband run to the drugstore to get me Monistat 7. I inserted it during the day, so I had to lay down for the remainder of the day. Once I inserted it, the itching intensified, the burning not so much. Since the application can get messy, wipe any excess leakage away from my lady bits, and it helps. Hopefully, I never experience the burning. I have used this medication multiple times and never experienced intense burning *knocks on wood*."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I really wish I had read the reviews first. I lasted 2 nights using this stuff (up all night screaming in agony, but I was really trying to stick it out), and the next morning I looked down, and my vagina was completely swollen and sealed closed! I could not open it whatsoever, and if I tried, the skin would just rip apart and bleed. This “medication” should not be on shelves anywhere. I have no idea how this stuff is legal, but someone needs to do something about this NOW!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wish I had a time machine so I could rewind to an hour ago and read these reviews first. My vagina is on fire!!!! I wasn’t sure if I had a yeast infection, but I’ve had itching and burning the past few days, so I picked this up hoping for some relief. Now I’m laying here praying for the sweet release of pain. I tried to tolerate it, but after ten minutes I couldn’t take it anymore and washed it off. Then I got up in there with a mirror and my vagina is red. Like fire engine red. And so, so swollen, and the itching and burning is unreal. Please, let the tale of my burning red vagina be your red flag. Run far away from this aisle and never return."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my God. I wish. I prayed to God I would have read these comments before I used this stuff. I’ve never written a review, but I had to. Please, if you see this before you take it, rethink everything... I am 8 months pregnant. Had to take antibiotics for a severe sinus infection. Then this happened - my first yeast infection. I know I’m a strong woman, and this stuff had me crying. I was pacing around the room in tears because of the amount of immense pain I was, and still am, in. I’m on vacation for my fiancé’s brother's wedding, and my doctor called me in the prescription, but I’m allergic to the category it falls into so I took this. I don’t know what to do. I will not be able to endure this pain again, and I seriously can’t use another day of it. I’m throbbing down there, swollen, and it burns. I’m laying in bed crying. Please listen to me and the other comments."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am devastated that I used this before reading these comments. Holy moly. I am 30 weeks pregnant, and my doctor told me to get Monistat 7 to take care of my very mild yeast infection. My symptoms included white/yellow discharge and very slight itching. Within 3 minutes of shooting this treatment into me, I was in agonizing, burning, stinging pain. I took a shower and tried getting most of it out, before my vagina became swollen shut. Now I’m in bed, feeling grateful that what was 8.5 pain has now dropped to 4.5. Still no way I am ever going to be able to sleep tonight. I pray you are reading this before you put this fire inside you. I’m not religious, but I’m actually praying for every woman on earth tonight."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the worst feeling in the world! My 3-year-old son is trying to soothe me because I’m crying from the pain. Honestly, my lady parts feel like I just had a baby all over again. They are so sore and swollen! And the itch!! Will never buy again. This is disgusting a company would put women through this pain."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had some itchy and uncomfortableness, so I bought Monistat 7 and took the first dose that afternoon. That night, I was incredibly red and swollen and in pain, I couldn't have anything touching my area. Doses 2 and 3 were no problem, all symptoms were easing. Dose 4, I woke up many times throughout the night and my whole area was covered in sweat and super itchy. Dose 5, it was horrid. I was on fire, it hurt so bad. I had to get a shower, I couldn't deal with it. I'm not taking it anymore."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Every girl must read this before even considering purchasing this product! After inserting a tab, it felt like I was being set on fire down there. It burnt me so bad my vagina is now extremely swollen, red, sore, and painful to even the most gentle touch, it hurts to even wipe. I had to take a bath and then a cold shower to somewhat get rid of this burning/itching and mostly very painful sensation. I have used Canesten tabs previously, to help cure my infection without any issues, but this time I grabbed Monistat because it was on sale, and what a mistake that was! The pain was unbearable, and not knowing what was happening to my body has put my mind in a panic mode. Thankfully, I found this website, and it was a game changer. Ladies, thank you for these reviews, it really helped put my mind at ease."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omgoodness! Noticed a yeast infection coming on, been years since the last experience in which I used the same treatment and had success. Well, I am unsure if since having my last child changed things, but this round of treatment has me miserable. There is burning, itching, so swollen, and worst of all, raw splotchiness of flesh that burns with such intensity. I am eager to get in the shower and somehow wash this off, but anxious for the yeast infection to subside. Last night was day one of inserting treatment, ended up washing off and taking a trip to the ER for help, which they prescribed the oral pill Diflucan or something. I took that, and they suggested to still use Monistat topical itch relief and the Monistat 7 inserted, so here I am, night 2, feeling miserably swollen, raw, and on fire....anyone please help with relief for the raw flesh."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have recurring yeast infections and couldn’t get to the doctor until next week. I decided to try the name brand, which was the worst mistake of my life. Day one I used the suppository and cleaned as directed and had so minimal burning, but my skin was very irritated and sore. Assuming it was doing what it was supposed to, I decided to just use the cream on my vulva. Wrong! I looked in the mirror and saw frightening red bumps like pimples on my vulva. I have health anxiety and automatically went to Google and self-diagnosed. The burning was unbearable! I rinsed my vulva multiple times and took Benadryl and Tylenol to reduce the swelling, redness, and itching/discomfort. I had a little bit of my prescription cream left and applied it. This morning I woke up around 4 a.m. with a slight burning sensation and I grabbed my mirror and flashlight. The bumps were gone but still had redness and a swollen vulva. I’ll never use this product again. Seeing those bumps scared the living poop out of me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had used this product before and never had a problem. It seemed to help clear up the infection quite quickly. But I recently got another yeast infection and decided to use the product again. I would not recommend it at all. I got intense burning in my lower region. It got so uncomfortable within about 5 minutes that I had to take a shower and wipe all the medicine out. Afterwards, I was still in pain. Do not get Monistat. At all. Yeast infections already itch, and Monistat made it 100 times worse, plus insane burning. Hopefully, I won't have any rashes or swelling like the others. Definitely go see a doctor and get a prescription."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don't usually write on these forums, but the experience was so awful that sharing so other users can avoid what appears to be a common experience. This stuff burned and itched like crazy. I was literally pacing back and forth and had to call a medical hotline. I felt as though millions of ants were running around with acid on their feet! I couldn't sleep all night, literally had to put ice cubes in parts unknown and go to the doctor the next day, swollen and red, inside and out! If you have had this experience, call Monistat. I reported the issue. I also kept my receipt and asked for a refund, which they are sending without an argument, so they must know there is a problem. I have used their products before without incident, so I don't know if they changed something, but let them know they need to do something or put a strong warning on advising users to test it on a small patch of skin to prevent more people from having the most unpleasant experience I have ever had with medication before."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was on Amoxicillin and started feeling the itch, rash, and swelling. Never had a discharge or smell. Three days after completing the antibiotics, I started on Monistat 7 (should have started it the next day). So this is my first night, and I inserted it at 9:15 pm and used the external cream for the itch, which helped a lot. Fell asleep, and about 45 minutes later, I was like, 'what the heck.'... I was itching and burning. It lasted for about 30 minutes. I’m thinking it itched like that because I could be so raw from the yeast. Gonna hang in there and weather the storm. I’ve only had one other yeast infection in my life, and that was years ago. Just want this yeast infection to go away!! Uuugggg."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I’d like to say at first I was terrified to use this product after reading various reviews. I have now been using this product for 7 days as told by the packaging. I have never had any burning or itching, and I feel perfectly fine. I have not had any pain/itching/inflammation outside of my lady parts, it was only yeast discharge before the use of this product. An actual doctor recommended this specific packaging for me. Today is the last night of use for Monistat 7, I will update you guys on the final effectiveness of this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Monistat 7 is the absolute worst thing you can use for a yeast infection. The burning, leakage, itching, and inflammation are ridiculous. I do not recommend this to anyone. The company needs to go back to the lab and fix this stuff."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OK, so this is my second time catching a YI. I went and purchased the Monistat 7 day pack this round. I tried the Monistat 3 day pack my first time, and it didn’t work for me, so I am now trying the 7 day. Initially, while lying down and inserting the cream and then applying the external cream, the burning, itching, and discomfort began immediately to the point where I was scrambling a little. But you guys have to realize that the burning sensation, etc., is the cream actually doing its work and curing the infection. I can only speak for myself, but the itchy irritation and burning sensation only lasted about a good maybe 30 minutes to an hour. The next morning, I was feeling very relieved and a bit swollen a little. For me, it wasn’t as bad as some of the other comments I’m reading. I will continue moving forward to complete the full 7 days as instructed."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm pretty sure Monistat is trying to kill my lady parts! I have had countless yeast infections and normally get a prescription, not this time. I decided to go the cheap route. As soon as I finished inserting the cream, I started to burn and itch so, so bad. I was doubled over and crying. Imagine inserting bleach up there, that's what it felt like. I spent about 30 minutes in the bathtub trying to get it out and took 2 Benadryl. Most of the pain is gone, but now I'm raw, swollen, red down there and have a headache. DON'T RISK THIS PRODUCT. Worst experience ever."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Is there a score less than 1? I haven't had a yeast infection in years. Used this product before without any problems. But this time it is the worst experience EVER. Purchased the one-day treatment almost three days ago. The cream makes it even worse. My skin is raw, swollen, and on fire. Made a doctor's appointment for first thing in the morning. It's 3 a.m. and I'm still miserable going into my third day with no additional applications. There should be a law against products."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took one of these suppositories because I had a slight itch and figured I was getting a YI. I left it in overnight. It has been 7 days of chemical burns, blisters, painful urination, major stomach cramps, back pain, joint pain, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fever, chills, white spots and ulcers all over the back of my throat and mouth, swollen tongue, swollen and bleeding gums that also caused my one-month-old wisdom extraction to open up again. All I had was an itch and this is what this medication left me with. I am currently taking multiple medications for pain and ointments for the burns and blisters. Please do not use this product. This is not just mild burning. I did not have any symptoms but a slight itch before this. I will never again use this product. Thanks a lot, Monistat, for ruining my whole body. And to the people downplaying this pain. You have no idea. This is not just a mild burn. It is a chemical burn."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I put this in while laying, as the package instructed. When I stood up to move to my bed, there was an intense itch deep inside. For about five minutes, I powered through the pain, but then I noticed it getting worse and worse. I went to wash it out, and I noticed serious swelling. A cold shower helped some, but I still had serious itching for the next two hours. I have no idea if this works because I will not be using it for the next six days."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've purchased Monistat 7 before in the past, and my symptoms disappeared in 2 days. I'm convinced now that the company has created a different version because my first day of using this version of Monistat 7, the pain was unbelievable. It felt as if someone stuffed my vagina with fire ants and knives. When I woke up, I was completely swollen, and I couldn't walk straight. I'm on day 3 now, and the itch is extremely unbearable. It seems as if it's getting worse, not better. Worst product ever!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have had an imbalance of yeast for years. I am 32, it started in my mid-20s where I really noticed the vaginal teeter-totter. I was prescribed amoxicillin (10 days) for a bacterial infection of my tonsils. I woke up with a swollen, dry vagina 5 days later. I took a Diflucan and then bought a generic 7-day YI treatment. I felt no recovery until day 6 but still felt sensations and itching. The vaginal area was a little less swollen but still inflamed. No more yeast or texture but still had inner vaginal swelling. I am on night 7 and hoping it goes away because it still hasn't. This antibiotic mucked up my system. Seeing a homeopathic doctor in two weeks to rebalance my body before baby making. UGH."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Yes, It may burn! This is only for the first application as it is doing its job and killing the yeast. Your vaginal walls are raw from the infection, so it will be an irritant, but it truly does work. I just finished my full treatment yesterday, and even though the first day was painful with a swollen labia (I took it during the day so all of the medicine basically oozed out and collected in my panties), I continued on, and my symptoms were mostly gone by the third day. Be sure to keep the box beside your bed and do it after your nighttime routine. This way you can stay in a position where the cream won't fall out. Good luck and keep at it!"
