For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first night I used it, it was super uncomfortable. The itching and burning were so bad I thought I was gonna go crazy! It’s because it’s killing the yeast. Make sure to buy some Vagisil anti-itch cream and use it the first night because the itching and burning will be awful right after you insert it. Vagisil makes that go right away. I woke up the next morning and didn’t itch at all. Don’t stop using it just because it itches terribly the first night you use it. Inserting it didn’t itch at all after that. I got the “Monistat 7 Complete Therapy.” It has the cooling wipes and the external cream in addition to the treatment and insert applicators. Make sure to use all three products for all seven days. It’s worth it to get the seven-day and use the entire regimen. I’ve used the one-day and the three-day before, and it felt better for a few days and came back. This one kills the entire infection for good. Great product. I highly recommend it. Just stick with it and use the entire seven nights!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a yeast infection while pregnant. Doctor recommended 7 days. It definitely works. Be prepared for itching in my case for at least the first 45 minutes of use. I would recommend inserting at least 1 hour before bed. Otherwise, you will be unable to go to sleep. Cures it. Very uncomfortable after inserting cream."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So everyone saying this was horrible and burning them, they felt horrible. Just know the product was working. A yeast infection causes basically a rash in your vaginal canal, which is a fungus, so it’s irritated and will be because the product is getting rid of the infection. The first few nights it was kind of uncomfortable. I’m on day 4, still a small amount of itching, but the cream helps during the day, and at night I use the vaginal cream. So far it’s worked for me, pain is inevitable. It’s a yeast infection...."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Within 5 minutes after inserting the cream, I felt more itching and burning than I did with just the infection. Yes, the cream works, but I don't know if the side effects are worth it. It's impossible to stand up. All I can do is lie in bed and just take the discomfort. I refuse to hop in the tub because I do not enjoy wasting my money."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First night using, and it's a little uncomfortable, but it's probably the medication doing the job right. My symptoms before this were similar to an angry dragon. My lady bits were uncomfortable, sore all day, a burning feeling not just when peeing, but did occur while urinating as well, and very little itching here and there. This slight pain will hopefully result in a happier atmosphere down there. I see lots of reviews pointing out the burning and itching, but it's gotta get worse before it gets better is what I think, but it honestly depends on each individual what you are willing to tolerate. Pills are easier, less messy, and no dealing with any discomfort, just wait for your body to react. This is what my doc told me to take since I am pregnant, and unfortunately, pregnancy tends to throw your body off track. Hopefully, this will be the only time I have to do/deal with this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Only use this product for mild yeast infections, otherwise, it burns like lava for hours on end. I have tried Monistat 1, 3, and 7 and will only use 7 as it is the most tolerable. I had a slight itch over the course of 3 months and didn't think much of it. No smell, discharge, discomfort during sex, or urination, so I didn't think it was a yeast infection, which I've had a few before. My doctor confirmed it was a yeast infection via pap results. I inserted the first treatment before bed, started itching within 5 minutes, and burning within 10. Very uncomfortable but not bad. Symptoms faded after an hour and I slept just fine. Day 2 had a moderate itch but no burning that lasted about an hour. On day 3, I had a slight itch I could very easily ignore. I felt nothing on days 4, 5, 6, and 7. The yeast infection is gone. It does the trick but will only be tolerable for a mild infection. If moderate or severe, get a prescription from your doctor and save yourself from the torture it will surely cause."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wasn't irritated badly, but once I went and bought 7-day Monistat, as soon as I put it in, I went to burning like hell. I was very uncomfortable, then about an hour later it started to calm down. But I am going to continue to use it till my 7 days are up. It's a good product, everybody's body is different. Putting ice on it didn't solve anything because my inside was on fire."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, a few years ago I got a YI and decided to use the 1-day treatment. I ended up in the emergency room and had to apply an anesthetic ointment for a week. Jump to this week, another YI. I went for the generic brands, but Walmart was out of stock, so I figured the 7-day treatment would be more manageable. Day 1, I cried. I figured, hey, first day, I'll roll with it. Day 2, I rolled in pain, day 3, same thing. I started to think I had another condition. The thought didn't occur to me that the thing I was using to treat my condition was making it worse. I'm persistent, so I didn't quit. While researching, I discovered reviews that listed the same symptoms and realized it was the stupid cream. Day 6, I was, man, I don't know how much more of this I can take. Used it, ran to bed, and waited for the discomfort and pain, it didn't disappoint. 1 more day to go, and I'm thinking about quitting."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Not even five minutes after insertion, I experienced possibly the most uncomfortable itching/burning sensation ever (worse than the YI I was already dealing with). I was actually prepared to wash it all out. I've gotten generic brand suppositories and creams from Walgreens that didn't cause me anywhere near the amount of grief this stuff has. Be kind to your body and don't put this anywhere near your lady bits! I'm actually reluctant to finish out the treatment due to the discomfort it causes."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Worst pain ever. Within a minute or two of inserting the Monistat 7 cream, the burning intensified extremely and sent me running into the bathtub to try to get it out, while freaking out. I’ve now been freaking out for the past half hour, thinking maybe to go to the ER. It’s been around 30 minutes, and the pain still hasn’t gone away. It has lessened a little because I think I got most of it out, but I’m still in a lot of pain and discomfort. Would not recommend this AT ALL. Worst burning sensation I’ve ever experienced."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my second YI. The first time I used the generic version, Miconazole 7, and it worked fine. I was able to use it for 7 days and not experience anything bad. It was sold out this time, so I had to buy the actual Monistat 7. So, the first two nights it seemed to be working great. Then when I woke up in the morning after the third insert, my vagina was on fire! It was burning, not unbearable, just uncomfortable mostly. It burned for about 30 minutes. During that time, I did go back to the bathroom once to wipe the outside, and then I was able to go back to sleep. I started reading these reviews, and according to these stories, I’m not the only one. If anything, I can take the small amount of pain, and I still have 4 doses to complete. I’m a little nervous, but I do feel that it is effective. I feel like they should have things on the shelf that aren’t going to burn like this does. Anyway, I would say to go for the generic version first, if all else fails, then try the Monistat."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have recurring yeast infections and couldn’t get to the doctor until next week. I decided to try the name brand, which was the worst mistake of my life. Day one I used the suppository and cleaned as directed and had so minimal burning, but my skin was very irritated and sore. Assuming it was doing what it was supposed to, I decided to just use the cream on my vulva. Wrong! I looked in the mirror and saw frightening red bumps like pimples on my vulva. I have health anxiety and automatically went to Google and self-diagnosed. The burning was unbearable! I rinsed my vulva multiple times and took Benadryl and Tylenol to reduce the swelling, redness, and itching/discomfort. I had a little bit of my prescription cream left and applied it. This morning I woke up around 4 a.m. with a slight burning sensation and I grabbed my mirror and flashlight. The bumps were gone but still had redness and a swollen vulva. I’ll never use this product again. Seeing those bumps scared the living poop out of me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This stuff burns and itches like crazy. I am on day 3, and after reading reviews, I should not be experiencing this on the 3rd day. I inserted the full dose per directions. It is lasting less time to go away. The first dose was unbearable, and it burned for 2 hours. Day 2 burned for one hour, and day 3 about 30 minutes. It does seem to be working. I have way less itch and discomfort once the initial burn subsides. Do not get the single dose, it looks like an egg, and OMG, it's like a blowtorch is in your lady part full blast."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve been using the cream externally just for one day now. In the morning, it was pretty uncomfortable and itchy, but it only lasted for 15 min or less. I put it on a second time that night, and the itch was nearly unbearable. Extreme discomfort to the point I didn't want to use it anymore. I’m super frustrated with how horrible this is. Even externally, it hurts to put on... don’t put yourself through this, even though it is convenient!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am 26 years old and this is my 2nd YI. I started feeling itchiness about 2 days ago, so I bought Vagizil thinking that would help, I was wrong! My YI only got worse. After using Vagizil for one day, I went to the store and bought Monistat 7. 1st day- YI was horrible, so I didn't wait for bedtime, I applied it during the afternoon, had NO pain whatsoever, took a nap and woke up feeling so much better. Today is my 2nd, I waited for bedtime, and it is SO uncomfortable. As soon as I applied it, I started to feel itchiness/burning. It is extremely uncomfortable, but it really helps. I am thinking I will complete the 7-day treatment, wish me luck!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used Monistat 7 day, and so far, it's okay. At first, it feels a little uncomfortable, but after about 15-20 minutes, it goes away. I've seen everyone had bad results with the one-day and three-day... Maybe because they are stronger than the seven days. I hope the seven days works well... Today is my first day using it. Just wish the applicator was a little more comfortable!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OK, so this is my second time catching a YI. I went and purchased the Monistat 7 day pack this round. I tried the Monistat 3 day pack my first time, and it didn’t work for me, so I am now trying the 7 day. Initially, while lying down and inserting the cream and then applying the external cream, the burning, itching, and discomfort began immediately to the point where I was scrambling a little. But you guys have to realize that the burning sensation, etc., is the cream actually doing its work and curing the infection. I can only speak for myself, but the itchy irritation and burning sensation only lasted about a good maybe 30 minutes to an hour. The next morning, I was feeling very relieved and a bit swollen a little. For me, it wasn’t as bad as some of the other comments I’m reading. I will continue moving forward to complete the full 7 days as instructed."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I cannot take Diflucan any longer, my body has built up a resistance. My only option is vaginal creams. Now if you think the 7-day cream burns, try the 3-day or 1-day! Talk about pain, they made me bleed! As for pain, here is my advice: take Tylenol or ibuprofen 30 minutes to an hour before you put the cream in. It burns my vagina like crazy, but I find if I take ibuprofen or Tylenol, I can at least sleep through the night. And definitely make sure you lay down ASAP after you insert the cream, otherwise, you really will be in some major discomfort. Good luck!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first experience ever getting a YI - 18 years old. Long story short, I ended up waiting upwards of 2 1/2 weeks until I actually started treating it, due to my own ignorance. A few days pass and here we are, 11:30 am, 40 minutes after my first use of Monistat 7. As soon as I inserted it, I felt some discomfort, but fast forward 10 minutes and I have never felt an itch with this severity in my entire life. I ran to the bathroom and did my best to remove it. I will not continue the next 6 days. Save your vag. Get the freakin' pill."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m on day 5 and have been doing the treatment that you insert. It’s been awful every single time. Typically takes at least 30 minutes to burn less than as intense as if little daggers stabbing at my most sensitive places. It’s a joke that the instructions say to take before bed. Try doing that and it really disrupts the bedtime routine—30 minutes of agony in the fetal position on the floor. I read in an earlier review that someone tried using a couple drops of tea tree oil with coconut oil. I tried it myself this 5th time and it soothed all the pain, itchiness, and discomfort. I used almond oil because it’s also a lady-part friendly carrier oil; that with a couple drops of tea tree and I immediately felt cooling sensations and relief. Amazing. Should have tried this sooner."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took Monistat 7 last night, and it was okay. But this morning, I woke up, and it was burning, it was causing me a lot of discomfort. I took a shower with cool water to try to rinse out the rest of the medication, but it did not work. Since I am still burning, I'm going to stop using the medication and visit my doctor because it's not getting better. I'm extremely upset because I took an over-the-counter test before treatment, and the stick remained yellow, so it said if it's yellow, that means you have a yeast infection. But when I took the medication Monistat 7, I started burning and having lots of irritation. Prior to taking this medication, I did not have any burning or itching, just a slight irritation and discharge. Will never use again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first YI, it felt super itchy and uncomfortable, but more bearable than this Monistat cream. I just inserted it about 15 minutes ago. What everyone’s saying about the cream burning is 100% accurate. I lasted about 5 minutes before I ran to the bathroom to try and get some out. I want to give this Monistat 7 a good shot, but with this burning, I don’t know if I can."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Never have I had the worst experience treating my first yeast infection. I had used up two of the inserts out of the 7 that it comes with. The plastic 5-inch applicator it comes with was very uncomfortable while trying to relax to insert it, but it was uncomfortable regardless. On the directions that I read before doing this, it says to insert the applicator as far as you feel comfortable, and once I got the applicator in, I was more comfortable, but once I pulled the applicator out, there was a small amount of blood on it, and the medicine pill never stayed up there. After pushing the plunger of the applicator, it just stayed in the applicator. This happened twice the same way. I then threw the pointless, painful applicator in the garbage and managed to make the third pill I used to stay in by pushing it as far in as I could with my finger. EXTREMELY DISPLEASED with this product. Would NOT recommend 0/10."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am on my 4th night of this cream from my 7-day pack. Each night I've dreaded going to bed knowing the horrific itching that would follow the insertion of the medicine. I tried to stick it out, fearing my yeast infection would return if I didn't finish the 7 days. Tonight I couldn't take the itch any longer. After sobbing in bed, I ran to my shower and flushed as much of this terrible stuff out of me as possible. I feel terrible others are going through something similar, but it actually made me feel not so crazy. The itch and discomfort from the yeast infection were 100x more bearable than this trash. I'll never buy it again!!"
