For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I’m only on day two, but I believe it is working. I am reading a lot of bad reviews, and some of them I have experienced in the past. A couple of years ago, when I got my first YI, I tried Monistat and felt such an intense burning I thought I was allergic to it, just like so many other medications I can’t have. I haven’t tried it again since, but when I tried to make an appointment with my local gyno and they told me I won’t be able to get an appointment until January, I immediately went and bought some of this. This time, I laid down and fully inserted the applicator into my vagina. I made sure to get ready for bed prior to doing this so I didn’t have to get back up. I have no pain, maybe a mild itching, but that was there prior. The first time I did this, I was standing up and didn’t put it far enough in and also walked around after. I highly recommend making sure you’re laid down and stay that way when you use it to minimize reaction."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am not sure what type of condition half of these women’s vaginas are in, but I have never had an issue using Monistat. Of course, it burns the first day (I’ve only burned once and nowhere near as bad as the women are claiming) you are inserting a plastic object full of a cream substance into an already open skin area of the body that’s infected. Anything that you put up there would burn hell! It does what it is designed to do, and if I had to endure moments of being uncomfortable to get rid of the infection, then so be it!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve had yeast infections before, but I’ve usually used another brand. The one that gives you that suppository egg that you insert overnight. And usually that works fine. But I was in a pinch, couldn’t get to the store I usually go to, and got the Monistat 7. The first day was perfectly fine, I didn’t feel burning or itching. Not uncomfortable at all. The second night though, oh man, that was bad. I was nauseous from how itchy this cream was making me. It’s day three and as I write this, it’s making me itch again. Definitely not as bad as day two. I read a bunch of reviews on here saying that means it’s working, but oh my lord. This itch is worse than the one I had because of the yeast infection. Hopefully in four days, there will be results because this is awful. Don’t stop your treatment!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had been dealing with monthly YI (kind of part of my PMS symptoms), and it continued after I got pregnant. I had been getting the Equate brand, but Walmart was out this time, so I got name brand for once... HOLY MOLY, WHY DOES IT BURN?! The Equate brand does NOT do this to me!! 'It burns because it's working' is not a good enough answer for me because the Equate brand works great and doesn't cause me to feel like my vag is on fire!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So yesterday I used a different brand 3-day treatment. About 15 minutes after insertion, I had to wash it out, the itching was very deep and unbearable. Today I started the Monistat 7, and it too was very itchy, not much burning but still a very deep, uncomfortable itch. It has been about 45 minutes now, and the itching has gone down a lot. I think I may be able to fall asleep!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used a generic brand, and it didn't help at all. This was the worst yeast infection I ever had. I still had intense itching and burning, so I bought this brand. The first time I inserted it, squatting down, and then I went to lay down. Wow, the itching and burning was intense. It was really bad for about an hour, and then I was able to fall asleep. After the second day, all symptoms were gone, but I still continued the treatment."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "PLEASE DO NOT BUY. After reading through all the reviews and my experiences with it, it's so much better to just go get some fluconazole. Every time I use this, I dread bedtime because I know what's coming. The first time I used it, I had waited for about 2 weeks before attempting to self-treat my infection. I swear a fire ignited in my vagina. I won't claim to have a high pain tolerance, but this was excruciating. Constant, unreachable burning for literal hours. You cannot get it out. I sat in a tub and cried. Now, after the second attempt at using this product, I am on this site reading about all the burning sensations and chemical burns resulting from this product, and it's just not worth it. Even if it works for some people, 70% of women on here have experienced the same burning as me. And after you've gotten that stuff up there, it doesn't come out. You just have to wait it out. So not worth it. -- the girl with the flaming vagina"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Please do not buy this product. I haven’t had a yeast infection in years, and I forgot the havoc this medicine wreaks on your body. The itching and burning was so intense upon insertion that I wanted to crawl out of my skin. Regardless of how bad your infection was, I guarantee this medicine will make you feel worse."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I should have known better. I applied the day one, and it started burning. I decided today to apply just a little amount. Ohhhh dear, within seconds my poor vagina started to burn like it was on fire. I wish I could go back in time and not use it. I don’t understand why they sell this stuff. Awful experience. I feel like my vagina is burnt."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Absolutely horrible!! Do not waste your money. I’m no stranger to yeast infections, but I’m usually prescribed the pill. Due to pregnancy, I decided to try Monistat 7 as recommended, and it only increased the burn and itch! Never will I use it again. I recommend clotrimazole 7. I felt relief within the first day."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My vagina is currently on fire! Day 1 last night was awful, I was in tears for a couple of hours. Finally, I fell asleep, and I woke up feeling relief. This is Day 2 of 3. I was thinking maybe the first night was bad because it's killing the yeast, but again? Come on. I'm not even doing the 7-day, and I'm scared for tomorrow night. I'm scared that I won't do it and the infection will come back. Fingers crossed I don't go jump in the shower to get this out, I just want it to stop. Gosh, they must have changed an ingredient because I used this years ago with no problem. Once I get health insurance back next month, I'll just go to the doctor from now on. I sure hope there isn't a recall on this in a couple of months or something, because this isn't right."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my God. I wish. I prayed to God I would have read these comments before I used this stuff. I’ve never written a review, but I had to. Please, if you see this before you take it, rethink everything... I am 8 months pregnant. Had to take antibiotics for a severe sinus infection. Then this happened - my first yeast infection. I know I’m a strong woman, and this stuff had me crying. I was pacing around the room in tears because of the amount of immense pain I was, and still am, in. I’m on vacation for my fiancé’s brother's wedding, and my doctor called me in the prescription, but I’m allergic to the category it falls into so I took this. I don’t know what to do. I will not be able to endure this pain again, and I seriously can’t use another day of it. I’m throbbing down there, swollen, and it burns. I’m laying in bed crying. Please listen to me and the other comments."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a yeast infection for the past 3 days. I went to my doctor, and he gave me the one-time pill that usually relieves symptoms in 24 hours. It didn't, so I bought Monistat 7. I did exactly as the instructions said and waited to insert it before bed. I lay down immediately after, and instantly the itching was intensifying by the second. I had a burning sensation. I'm in tears, rolling back and forth in bed. I took a shower and tried to push the rest out, and it helped, but it definitely didn't go away. I work at 6 am, and it's almost 12 am. Wish me luck! I am never using this product again if my life depended on it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Don’t drink too much liquid before using this product. The last thing you want to do is get up after applying this cream to pee. I am using Monistat 7 before bedtime!! Strictly follow that rule or else it will burn like lava, I tell you!! Pee, take a shower, and try to pee again if you have to. After that, wipe yourself clean. Go to your bed with your towel and insert it in you, and lay down in that position for about 30 minutes to 1 hour for it to work. If a little bit starts coming down and causes a burning sensation, try not to move so much and get up. The burning will last for about 2 to 3 minutes, the more you move, the more the cream will go all over the place. I hope this helps!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg lol - the itching and burning is out of control. I'm on day 1, and goodness gracious, I can't take it. I read all the comments lol, some were funny and some were not. Day 1 is driving me crazy, but I can say I can feel it stopping as we speak - that was the most horrible feeling ever. I don't wish this on my worst enemy. This is only my second time getting a YI... the first time I got it, I was pregnant, and now, 8 years later, it's happening again... so this is my 2nd time using m7, and yes, things are worse before they get better... it does, in fact, work..."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have noticed that the Monistat 1 and 3 don't work, I have to use the 7-day cream combo pack. I can't use the ovules either, it has to be tubes that you fill with the cream. I have no idea why, but they just don't work for me, I've tried them all. The first night usually sucks because it does burn a bit on the inside, but by day 3, I'm usually back to feeling normal. The vulva cream that comes in the small tube is a huge help too for the outer itch, and I carry it with me on the go. Hope this helps."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am devastated that I used this before reading these comments. Holy moly. I am 30 weeks pregnant, and my doctor told me to get Monistat 7 to take care of my very mild yeast infection. My symptoms included white/yellow discharge and very slight itching. Within 3 minutes of shooting this treatment into me, I was in agonizing, burning, stinging pain. I took a shower and tried getting most of it out, before my vagina became swollen shut. Now I’m in bed, feeling grateful that what was 8.5 pain has now dropped to 4.5. Still no way I am ever going to be able to sleep tonight. I pray you are reading this before you put this fire inside you. I’m not religious, but I’m actually praying for every woman on earth tonight."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This product is horrible. You would think that after applying this cream you would feel at least somewhat better and at ease, well, that's not the case here. It made my lady parts burn and itch to the point where I couldn't take it anymore and had to take a shower for 40 minutes, and I'm still in discomfort! And no, it does not feel better after 3 hours. Yes, your symptoms of the YI improve, but I'm telling you it's not worth it!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "A few years ago I bought the Monistat, but in a small oval pill-looking thing that you insert, it worked out good. This time around I bought the cream, and OMG!!!! I had to Google if what was happening is normal. It was sooo itchy and still is. It is getting better, the burning/itching is so far inside I am going crazy!! Maybe my infection is a little more severe. I did see my doctor, but no medication was sent to the pharmacy from the office, so I needed to do something for the pain. I hope it gets better."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After 6 weeks on Doxycycline and Prednisone for pneumonia, I got a mild YI. First usage felt like someone had doused my lady bits in lighter fluid and stuck a grilling match up there. OMG, the burning and itching!!! Treatment 2, same thing. The burn and itch are insane!!! It feels as though Satan himself has taken up residence in my vagina and ripped my vaginal walls out to replace them with fire and brimstone. NEVER AGAIN!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my second time using this medication. The first time I used the three-day “egg” and felt nothing, no itching, no burning. This time, the cream, the SECOND this went in my vagina I wanted to hop in the shower and rinse it off. It burned so bad. I’m not sure if it’s because that’s how it feels when it’s fighting something or because the cream is more concentrated or what, but the burning only lasted about 10-15 minutes. The itching? Whole different ballgame. It STILL itches, I just used it about an hour ago and I want to drag myself on a carpet like a dog would. The packaging said “mild” itching, but in reality it’s hot itching, spicy as ghost pepper itching. More so than the original itch. This is ridiculous & the ointment that comes with it doesn’t help because the itching is IN the vagina, not ON the vulva. This is only the first day, so hopefully this just means that it’s working, but a word of advice- Do not get the cream with the applicators, just get the egg."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So the dr gave me some amox-clav 875 mg a week ago. I only took 3, that was enough to know I had a darn YI, so I used some Monistat cream for the outside because of the itching. When I tell y’all I was burning like anything - I wanted to run through the house screaming for a fire hose to put the fire out."

I feel like I have acid up there. I don't do reviews, but this product needs to be discontinued and every package remaining burned so no one goes through this."
