Loratadine for Allergic Rhinitis "Took one 24-hour Claritin on Sunday. Within hours, my itchy eyes and runny/stuffy nose had cleared. Took a second Claritin on Monday. Poor sleep that night. Tuesday morning, getting out of bed, I experienced a terrible backache and the beginnings of a headache that Tylenol didn't touch. Backache lasted all day. Stopped Claritin before my third dose. Today is Wednesday, and I'm feeling zombie-like, fatigued, with lingering back pain. Much as I had hoped this might be my miracle pill, it's not. I'm a 70+ year-old lady in good health who will not be taking this again."

Loratadine for Allergic Rhinitis "24-hour pill, and I still have 14 hours to go. Fluttering of the heart has made this drug very uninviting. Head is more stuffed now than when I started it. Not a very comfortable feeling. Headache, stuffy nose, jitters, and some stomach discomfort. Use caution."

For Allergies "I have been taking loratadine for five-plus years because I was exposed to mold at my job and in my apartment. As a result, I started experiencing allergy problems and began taking this medication. Initially, it worked great, but now I am experiencing hair loss, headaches, eye problems, a rash on my leg, dry mouth, sleeplessness, memory issues, body pain, and constant thirst, among other things. After reading these reviews, I have decided to discontinue the medication and see if these side effects subside. Stay tuned because I am in desperate need of help."

For Urticaria "I took 10 mg loratadine on Saturday. I felt okay when I took it, the next day, feeling sick and dizzy felt like I had a bad flu. I took it for dermographism on my skin, which has gotten worse. I had a bad reaction to this drug. I am writing this on day 3, I still feel wired. Don’t take this if you have bad anxiety and depression, it's making me feel so unwell: headache, didn’t eat hardly anything in 3 days, drank loads of water, bread, soup. Finding it hard to sleep, avoid it!! Side effects are awful. I wonder when I am gonna feel better!"

For Allergic Rhinitis "In regards to Loratadine, the symptoms for overdose are absolutely correct. I have seasonal allergies and was trying a new (for me) over-the-counter drug. I thought it was like most other allergy drugs I had used, so I took as needed. Six tablets in an 8-hour span were an OD, and I got bad headaches, extreme sleepiness, and dizziness (the next day), heartbeat seemed OK. My breathing and runny nose seemed to be pretty good, though. I don't suggest using more than described on the bottle."

For Allergic Rhinitis "I took this medication (10 mg) for my runny nose due to COVID-19. The first hour I took it, I started feeling a severe headache and a little bit of fatigue, which lasted for about 10 hours. In the beginning, I thought it was an extra symptom from COVID, since I hadn't had such a symptom until then. The next day, I woke up and there was no headache and fatigue at all and was feeling much better overall. As I was suspicious of this medication, I decided to take it again and see for myself whether I would experience the same symptoms. Again, after an hour I took it, I started feeling headache and fatigue. So, I decided not to take it again. However, the symptom of runny nose decreased."

For Allergic Reactions "Took 1/2 tab 1st night and woke with no itchy eyes, no congestion, breathing good, but a headache, two Tylenol and okay. Tonight took a whole tab by mistake and started feeling not so good. Sort of depressed and my lower back is itchy."

Loratadine for Allergic Rhinitis "I was prescribed Claritin by my ENT. I was told to take it every morning, which I did, but after a few hours of taking it, I would get the worst neck pain/headaches. I also got joint pain in my knees. I looked up these two side effects and sure enough a good percent of female patients aged 49+ reported these side effects. Seems more common in females. It did nothing whatsoever for my severe allergies and my Otis externa. I couldn't take the pain from this drug and stopped. Within 24 hours, the painful aches went away."
