Loratadine for Allergic Rhinitis "Honestly, I am very sensitive to medications, so I should have felt some sort of relief, and I felt nothing but side effects. Dizziness, fog brain, and overall, it made my head feel strange. I will be discontinuing this medicine and trying something else."

Loratadine "I ran out of Zyrtec and did not have a lot of money, so I opted for 2 one-packs of Claritin non-drowsy 24 hr. I have severe anxiety and moderate depression that I’ve been regulating on my own for the past 3 years. So the first night I took it, and the next day I could barely get out of bed without feeling nauseous and dizzy. I also noticed that my anxiety in the car was heightened, and I almost had to pull over because I felt so sick. I didn’t take the pill the next day, and within the next day my anxiety went away. This morning my allergies were so bad I took the 2nd pill knowing what could happen, and I’m dealing with the worst anxiety I think I’ve ever had. I couldn't get into the car without feeling like I was going to pass out. So ultimately I will not be taking Claritin anymore because, like others have reviewed also, it affected them mentally and caused anxiety and a weird head feeling. Also, it did nothing for my allergies compared to my Zyrtec."

Loratadine for Allergic Rhinitis "I took Claritin for congestion due to allergies. Day 1, I felt a bit tired after taking it, but the congestion began to clear. Day 2, I felt fine for a few hours with the exception of dry mouth, all of a sudden, I became severely dizzy and felt like I was going to fall out of my chair. Checked all my vitals: BP, oxygen, sugar, etc., and they are perfect. The only new medicine I took was Claritin. I am lying on my back right now, writing this review while I am recovering from the effects."

For Allergies "Do not take this if you suffer anxiety. I remembered taking this 2 years ago, and I had a panic attack, so I didn’t take anymore. Forgot which one it was, and I picked up a pack this week. I was 7 months anxiety/panic attack free until I took this the second time. 2 hours after swallowing, I was dizzy, confused, irritable, severely anxious, shaking, sweating, racing thoughts that wouldn’t stop. It completely stopped my nose and eyes from running and itching, but I would take that any day over how I felt on this. Never again for me."

For Allergies "This made me dizzy, confused, panicky, worst feeling ever! I kind of feel like I am on a bad trip! Also gave me bad heartburn, made me feel like my throat is closing in, cannot swallow saliva, ears are popping. I am never taking this again."

For Urticaria "Oh my goodness, no way! Stay away, this is by far a very dangerous medication for some people. It's made me feel extremely strange and out of body experience. Dizziness, strange head feeling, strange thoughts, paranoia, anxiety, and depression. No one should feel this ill, but to affect your mood is a bit strange. I will not be touching this drug again."

For Allergic Rhinitis "Took 1 (10 mg) tablet of Loratadine at 10:00 AM on 15 June. After around 1 hour of taking the tablet, I was hit in the face with the worst depression and anxiety I have had in a while. The only change was Loratadine, after looking at reviews, I saw many people complaining about this drug's side effects. The side effects: 1) Insomnia 2) Depression 3) Panic attacks 4) Rapid severe heartbeat 5) Sweats 6) Vertigo 7) Bad attitude and thinking patterns. Just the worst side effects I have ever had from any drug!!! I am now on 18 June (3 days later), and I am still feeling weird and sleepy, also finding it very hard to stay asleep for more than a few hours, dry mouth, etc. Stopped after 1 dose, thank goodness for the internet, or I wouldn't have known what was wrong with me and maybe would have carried on taking this drug."

For Urticaria "NOTE: Doctor prescribed me this mixed with Vitamin B complex in pills in a 50/50 ratio. A few days after using it, I noticed my eczema symptoms are going away (used to have reddish, dry fingers). About 36 hours later, I had massive dizziness, followed by shivers. At first, I thought I got a simple fever or something and didn't think that the medication was the cause, so I kept on consuming it. The next morning it felt like my head was about to burst and that I was sweating profusely. Since the doctor also prescribed me cream for my skin affected by the eczema, I decided to no longer consume the pills; in 24 hours, I felt better. The eczema is also gone, though at this point I'm not sure if the cream or the oral meds did the job for me. I would really recommend people to check whether they have allergic reactions to drugs like this, and perhaps other people are not allergic like me, because I pretty much poisoned myself in exchange for curing my skin condition."

For Urticaria "I took 10 mg loratadine on Saturday. I felt okay when I took it, the next day, feeling sick and dizzy felt like I had a bad flu. I took it for dermographism on my skin, which has gotten worse. I had a bad reaction to this drug. I am writing this on day 3, I still feel wired. Don’t take this if you have bad anxiety and depression, it's making me feel so unwell: headache, didn’t eat hardly anything in 3 days, drank loads of water, bread, soup. Finding it hard to sleep, avoid it!! Side effects are awful. I wonder when I am gonna feel better!"

For Allergic Rhinitis "In regards to Loratadine, the symptoms for overdose are absolutely correct. I have seasonal allergies and was trying a new (for me) over-the-counter drug. I thought it was like most other allergy drugs I had used, so I took as needed. Six tablets in an 8-hour span were an OD, and I got bad headaches, extreme sleepiness, and dizziness (the next day), heartbeat seemed OK. My breathing and runny nose seemed to be pretty good, though. I don't suggest using more than described on the bottle."

For Urticaria "Today is Oct 1, 2022, and I’ve been on loratadine for two days now. I have chronic hives (lip swelling, itchy, and tongue swelling episodes), and the doctor prescribed me this to take along with famotidine. I have taken famotidine before and did well, however, loratadine I’m not so sure. I had to go to urgent care this morning because I woke up very dizzy, and I thought I was dying. I’m feeling movements in my head and having a panic attack. I couldn’t get out of bed to even use the restroom. It took me about 30 minutes to get to the restroom. I was so, so dizzy and never in my life felt this way ever. I have decided after two days to stop this medication now. I feel like it’s the loratadine, so hopefully I’ll know soon for sure. While I’m typing this, I’m feeling movements in my head and still a little dizzy. I am tired and afraid to go to sleep because I feel like I will be dizzy if I wake up. Please be careful, guys. DL"

Loratadine for Allergic Rhinitis "This is the 2nd time in a month that I have suffered from dizziness and fatigue after taking Claritin. My blood pressure has dropped to 96/58, which is low even for me. I have always had lower than normal blood pressure. I last took Claritin on Thursday morning, and this is Monday, and I can finally stand up without feeling dizzy."
