For Plaque Psoriasis "I’m 42 years old and I’ve had plaque psoriasis since I was a teenager. Not only on my elbows and other common places, but literally all over my body. When I went to a new dermatologist about 6 years ago, I had over 90% coverage on my body. I was miserable and embarrassed to be seen by anyone. My quality of life was suffering a lot due to plaque psoriasis. I was prescribed Otezla and took 2 pills a day. It helped a lot but didn’t clear my skin completely. I took it for 2 years before telling my doctor I wanted to try something else to see if I could get my skin even clearer. 4 years ago, I started Tremfya injections. Within 2 weeks of the first injection, I could see significant improvement in my skin. About a month after the first shot, I had 0% coverage. All signs of psoriasis were completely gone everywhere on my body and have been ever since. For me, Tremfya is a miracle drug. It truly has given me my life and confidence back. I haven’t had any noticeable side effects either."

For Psoriasis "I have a severe case of psoriasis only on the bottoms of my feet. Over the past 30 years, I tried all of the standard topical and oral medications. Nothing worked. I've been doing the Tremfya injections for 20 weeks. I've seen only minimal improvement. I was hoping for better."

For Psoriasis "I loved Tremfya at first. I have guttate and scalp psoriasis, and it cleared my scalp so fast. The spots on my body are 99% gone, and now there’s just pigmentation. I've stopped scratching behind my ears and the parts of my body with psoriasis on them. Tremfya has helped clear my skin! However, after the second injection, I noticed I started to gain weight. Not only this, but I started experiencing constipation and harder bowel movements. After my fourth injection, I've gained 10 pounds. My periods are irregular and heavier. I've never had these issues before Tremfya. It sucks because it works so well for my psoriasis, but the side effects are not worth it. I will be getting off of Tremfya and letting my hormones and body readjust. Maybe it’s just not right for me or because I'm 22, I think my body just reacted very badly to it."

For Plaque Psoriasis "I had a certain vaccine, and after the vaccine, I started experiencing a series of autoimmune issues. I struggled for almost 2 years with rashes that covered nearly 80% of my skin. Out of nowhere, I haven't had issues until age 39. I was amazed that within the 1st week, all itching, inflammation, and other hits to my system resulting from an autoimmune disorder have diminished. Completely! I had it pretty severe, but with Tremfya, I have a life again! My skin is intact, and I can sleep at night without itching and burning."

For Psoriasis "I've been taking Tremfya for 2.5 years. Tremfya was the only medication that worked for my psoriasis. I had bad side effects to 5+ others I tried first. Humira actually made it way worse. My doctor said I had the worst case of psoriasis he had ever seen and he has been practicing for 30+ years. After being on Tremfya for 6+ months, I noticed I began to have to urinate more frequently. After a year on Tremfya, it began to become an issue because sometimes I couldn't hold my bladder long enough to make it to the bathroom. This has gotten worse over the past year, to the point where I have pain in my urethra at times. If I take 600-800mg of ibuprofen when this pain starts, it seems to help ease the urethral pain. I talked to my case manager at Janssen and she said a side effect listed is frequent urination. I hate to switch meds because of the difficulty I've had finding something that works, but I no longer qualify for the patient assistance program."

For Plaque Psoriasis "When I started Tremfya, I was 80% covered, and now I’m 100% clear, plus, my arthritic symptoms have stopped. No side effects that I can tell, although I have had a few mild colds that could be related or not. I had about 10 years of remission with just diet/lifestyle change… and then I had children. With each pregnancy, I progressively got worse despite light therapy, etc. I truly feel like I tried “all the things” to stop this horrible disease without medication, but in the end, I am so, so grateful for Tremfya, and I wish I had started sooner."

For Plaque Psoriasis "Switched from Siliq to Tremfya due to insurance issues... not by choice. Tremfya, by far, the worst-performing injection. Psoriasis spots reappeared on my legs, so my derm prescribed a topical. Hadn't used topicals in years. The worst part: upper respiratory infections galore. Four in 2 months, with the most recent this week resulting in an ear infection requiring antibiotics. Head and body aches common with Tremfya as well. Not a good medicine for me at all."

For Plaque Psoriasis "I’ve been using Tremfya for nearly a year and have had wonderful results. Not only has nearly all of my psoriasis disappeared, but I also feel better in general. Interestingly, my hand pain has greatly decreased even though I haven’t been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. (I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis by an orthopedic doctor, however.) I do now have a reduced white blood cell count, which returns to normal a month or so after the injection. I never had a low white blood cell count before, except during unrelated radiation treatments. I get a couple of extra colds per year, but it’s worth it for how much better I feel!"

For Psoriasis "I moved from Stelara to Tremfya when the Stelara stopped working after 3 years. 100% clear within 6 weeks. I do feel a bit tired after the injection for a few days, but nothing major. My only complaint is the injection itself. I have no control over the injection, and I'm constantly scared I will lift the injection, causing the needle to retract. Bad design, much preferred the control I had with the Stelara injection."

For Psoriasis "Got bad skin infections, cellulitis with it. When I had to stop the injection for a month, realized that the bad fatigue was caused by Tremfya because as the fatigue decreased, the joint and muscle pains increased, and the scalp and overall psoriasis increased and came back. Need to try another, but at least I know relief is possible. Been suffering too long...decades."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "First injection was late Dec 2022, then Jan 2023. By the 3rd injection in late March, 90% of the psoriasis I had was gone (was gone between 6 - 8 weeks). By the June 1 injection, no psoriasis remained. The bulk of joint pain is controlled fairly well until the last 2 weeks of the 8 week period, but for me, the pain is minimal. I was on Enbrel for a few years and the psoriasis never cleared. I recommend this drug, however, the cost is extremely high even with insurance. It is not covered under Medicare."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "I have AS and PsA. I have taken Humira and Cosentyx, both giving me many side effects. I had to stop taking both drugs. I started getting Psoriasis on my ear and Rheumy wanted to try me on Tremfya. I have been on Tremfya for a total of 9 months. If I am going to rate the drug, I would say a 7 out of 10. It has really helped the severe stabbing right hip and pelvis pain. I continue to struggle with lower back pain, swollen wrists, and knees. I also am hungry all the time and am having issues with anxiety. Never had either of them before using Tremfya. Do I want to quit the drug? No, the side effects and the stabbing hip/pelvic pain alleviated even for a bit is worth it. Is it a wonder drug? No, I still struggle with pain and the added side effects. But to me, it is worth it. I hope it continues to work. I do have 2-3 days after taking the drug where I feel very ill but it goes away."

For Plaque Psoriasis "I’m about to start my first injection April 20. They are taking me off Otezla because that didn’t work at all. I got psoriasis all over my face and my hands. Now it’s going on my back. I think an allergy makes me get psoriasis. I will keep y’all updated. I really hope Tremfya works for me. I have had this for 7 years. Keep y’all updated."

For Psoriasis "I have minor-to-mild psoriasis, about 10-12 relatively small but persistent spots for years. Ointments would work temporarily, but I had to constantly reapply, and they would stain my clothes. I tried Otezla too, and that helped a bit at first, but I stopped seeing any benefit after several months. Tremfya has been AMAZING. I finally have my skin back! I love how easy and infrequent I have to take it (and for someone who is afraid of needles, I find the approach very manageable). My skin is clear without any noticeable spots after two months."

For Psoriasis "I have been taking Tremfya for close to 3 years and am 95% cleared, since month 2. I get my dose delivered to my home and do my own injection. It's super quick and easy. No issues with it at all. Side effects are I now normally need antibiotics for Strep Throat now. However, pros outweigh the cons."

For Plaque Psoriasis "So happy with Tremfya. Cleared up my skin beautifully except for the palms of my hands. Still dealing with plaque and multiple skin splits. Otherwise, it's the best out there. I've not experienced any side effects. Easy to inject."

For Plaque Psoriasis "I've had moderate to severe psoriasis in my 20s. It started in my mid-30s and cleared me up in the first 2 months. It completely cleared it. I noticed no side effects. After about 8 months of routine use, in the last 2 shots, I waited 3 months between shots. I noticed spots after the first skipped shot and a little more after the second skipped shot. That's 2 shots in the last six months. I think I will try to stick with every three months even though there are spots and slight itching. If it gets worse, I may have to do every other again, and hopefully, it didn't alter the effect. If it stays clear, I'll try to push out for longer, but as of now, it doesn't seem to be the case."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "The first injection seemed to work wonders. I was covered with plaque, and in about 3-5 days, I was 80% clear already. I had been doing very well until this injection #6. I actually broke out quite a bit, especially on my scalp. I had a variety of other side effects also. It’s been 2 weeks, and I’m still having a cough and other problems. Hopefully, the next injection will not be like this one."

For Plaque Psoriasis "I was covered head to toe with 3 different types of psoriasis. My doctors and I had tried all topicals on the market, UVB light therapy, and methotrexate to no avail. None of these were a long-term solution for myself. They would bring my psoriasis flush to my skin, but I would still be itchy and sore from all the lesions, and the results would only last a few days before it all flared back up. My skin was getting very thin from the topical steroids. With hesitation, I agreed to try biologics. 1 week after my initial loading dose of Tremfya, I noticed a decrease in the severity of my lesions. By the time I was ready for my second loading dose, my psoriasis had vastly cleared; all I really had left by this time was scalp and nail psoriasis. I do find that 8 weeks is almost too long of a wait for me in between doses. By week 6, I start getting spots again, but they are more like tiny little dots that clear up within a week of my next dose. Tremfya is my 1st biologic, and I am impressed with it."

For Plaque Psoriasis "I was previously on Tremfya, and at the 10th injection, my dermatologist did a biopsy for a small rash spot that would not go away, and it turned out to be squamous cell carcinoma (skin cancer). Upon further self-research and joining a psoriasis support group, other dermatologist doctors in the group confirmed that biologics are well known to cause skin cancer. I also had several UTIs and became allergic to nine different meds that prior to Tremfya I had taken without problems. After Tremfya, I now carry an EpiPen as a result, in which I ended up in the ER for severe allergic reactions."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "Have been using 100 mg Tremfya injection for over a year now, but usually after a week the joint pains return and muscle cramps begin. Not sure if it's related, but I also have a constant cough and regularly spit up mucus from my throat and chest."

For Psoriasis "15 mo on Tremfya for psoriasis. Pros: confidence in public settings, 100% skin clearance, super easy company to work with if insurance won’t cover, once every 8 weeks after startup compared to daily. Cons: many bouts of upper respiratory illnesses, several skin infections, skin sensitivity to sun, diarrhea, extreme tiredness week before my shot, will not help joints."
