"Ladies, this pill, Blisovi Fe 1/20, has been the biggest, most positive life changer I've been so fortunate to have. I took it for adenomyosis. I've spent many years trying different hormone and non-hormone birth control options and had absolutely sworn off any and all hormones since I had tried pretty much everything on the market. Over the last couple of years, I've developed extremely painful periods that have kept me from functioning at all. I became open to whatever my ob/gyn wanted to try, so we tried Blisovi Fe four months ago, and not only have I been able to bypass my period completely, I have zero side effects :) Nothing at all!! No spotting, weight gain, headaches, tenderness - nada. I'm so grateful for this, you have no idea!!"

For Birth Control "Everyone's body is different, but for me, Blisovi's side effect was getting too much for me to handle. I think I should start with the pros because not everything was bad. PRO: I liked how it kept me on schedule. Period change from 6 days to 4 and lighter flow. And, of course, it kept me from getting pregnant. Cons: I couldn't keep control of my weight and gained 20 pounds really fast, no matter the exercise or healthy foods I was eating. I have a family history of diabetes, so I try to make sure my weight is manageable. At first, I correlated it to COVID and being stuck indoors, so I ended up doing more cardio outside almost every day, but for the life of me, I couldn't change my weight. Went from 130 to 150 pounds, and I'm 23 with a history of consistent weight before I took the pill. If I took a break for a couple of days, I'd gain all the weight back plus more. Lastly, my sex drive was nonexistent. I've been on the Blisovi Fe 1/20 for 8 months now and decided another birth control method is best for me."

For Birth Control "I was on this birth control for a little over a year. It was the only pill that didn’t give me acne, make me gain any weight, or give me migraines. However, this pill gave me severe mental health issues. I felt depressed, anxious, and not even like myself for a year. I was miserable to the point where I needed to seek therapy. My therapist suggested an antidepressant but told me to get off of Blisovi first in case that was the issue. Once I decided to get off of it, my mental health was restored in the matter of a week. I didn’t know that birth control could have such a severe effect on me, and I am so relieved that I got off of it. My sister began taking Blisovi a little after me, and it had a similar effect on her as well. If you begin this pill and notice that you are feeling depressed, GET OFF OF IT IMMEDIATELY. Don’t put yourself through it for a year like I did. After going through this, I have decided to give up on the pill altogether. Not worth it for me."

For Birth Control "I only started taking Blisovi Fe 1/20 three weeks ago, and I have cried at least twice every day since. I am an emotional wreck, and it’s ruining my relationship. Maybe that’s how it’s an effective form of birth control, it just makes you so emotional and depressed that your partner doesn’t want anything to do with you. I advise against it. Oh, but I did gain 10 lbs and big boobs out of it!"

For Birth Control "DO NOT shy away from Blisovi Fe 1/20 due to horrible reviews. Most people are usually only motivated to post a review when having a bad experience with a birth control, people who are satisfied usually do not share their experience. However, I've been taking this for about a year now, and it has controlled my PMS by like 95% and has lightened my period almost completely. I have acne-prone skin, and I can confidently tell you that my face, as well as my friend's skin, has completely cleared up after a month of using this BC. Experience may definitely vary between people, but my friend who uses Blisovi Fe 1/20 has such a positive experience and recommended it to me, and I can say the same. I have not seen any noticeable weight gain or weight loss. Give it a try for at least 2-3 months before trying something else! It takes a month or so for your body to get used to the hormonal changes and may not experience full benefits until then."

For Birth Control "Six months ago, I was switched from Glidess to this. After switching, I had absolutely no sex drive and was moody. Three months after I started this medication, I had gained 10 lbs (I work with a trainer and eat healthy) and started to become sick. I had horrible cramps, with constipation or diarrhea and nausea every day. I went to see a specialist and was advised to take tests to see what was wrong (really expensive)! I finally made the connection that it could possibly be my birth control, even though my pharmacist and doctor said there was 0 chance that was it. I stopped taking this pill, and days later, I was fine. No more cramping, diarrhea or constipation, nausea, and bloating. (I’m losing weight back to my “normal self.”) My sex drive is back to normal too. I wrote this so others who have the same issue can be warned. I thought I had celiac, a food allergy, or an intestinal issue, that’s how sick I was. This pill ruined my life for six months."

For Birth Control "Please do not take this birth control. I have always maintained a healthy weight. In less than a year on this pill, I gained over 20 pounds. My mood swings are awful, and I get a lot of anxiety. My self-esteem and confidence have been so low that I never want to leave the house. I also had a lot of swelling and pain in my ankle and leg, which was most likely a blood clot. I feel like I have experienced every single negative side effect. Please avoid this pill, it has changed me so much."

For Birth Control "Three stars because I did not experience any mood swings, depression, or weight gain like I have in the past using other birth control. It did cut my lubrication and it was very painful to have sex. I honestly did not want to believe it was the birth control that was causing dryness, but once I stopped taking it, I realized it was."

"My doctor recommended these Blisovi pills to regularize my period and stop menstrual pain. I must say that the experience has been terrible for me. First, I gained 30 pounds, I feel unhappy, I am in a bad mood all the time, my head hurts, I have no sexual desire, and the irregularity of my period continues. I asked my doctor to change this pill, but she insisted on continuing it for 3 months. Reviewed the comments of the other women, I wonder how it is possible that this pill is on the market. I wonder what agency protects patients from situations like these. How is it possible that no one is responsible in cases like this? Our bodies and mental health are at risk, and no one is responsible. I decided to stop the medication today. I would rather have irregular periods than put my body and mental health care on the line."

For Birth Control "Obviously, with birth control pills, you need to find one that's right for you, so what's right for some might not work for everyone. That being said, don't be scared off by a lot of the negative reviews. I got on Blisovi Fe 1/20 to skip my period, and it does the job nicely. Aside from spotting in the first month, I've been period-free. I've been on another pill before, I don't remember what it was called, but I have never experienced any negative symptoms with that one or this pill either. No breakouts, no weight gain, no extra hair in odd places, and I haven't gotten pregnant either. Aside from not having a period, literally nothing has changed for me."

For Birth Control "Ok, so I’ve been on Blisovi Fe for about a year and some change now. Never experienced so much anxiety in my life. Every day I would wake up anxious, stomach issues, etc. I finally came to the realization I’m not the only one who has felt this. I stopped a few days ago, and I’m feeling mentally better. I didn’t experience any weight gain, nausea, acne, or anything other than anxiety. This BC may not be right for everyone. I would have stayed on if it wasn’t for the increased anxiety."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed this medication to help control heavy periods and acne. Since taking this pill for over 6 months, I haven’t had a real period since the first month of taking it. Sometimes I do still get very emotional during the “sugar pill” week, and I find I feel better if I skip the sugar pills and just keep taking the real thing, which doesn’t hurt to do as long as you don’t do it every single month, as I understand at least. I only had my period for about a day or two one time about 2 or 3 months in. Since then I don’t even get spotting. I haven’t noticed any mood changes or depression that I didn’t have before taking this medication, and it hasn’t worsened my existing depression and anxiety. I have gained weight since using this pill, but I think that’s my own fault and not the pills. I do feel more bloated often though, which still isn’t that big of a deal."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this for a little over a year. I got on this pill to lessen my bleeding and cramps. For that purpose, it is great, and I still have normal periods that are not too heavy and cramps, but in the past year, I have gained almost 30 pounds, and I work out 5 times a week for multiple hours each time and eat a normal diet. I haven’t changed anything since I started taking it, but now I’m going to have to find new birth control and work out and diet to lose all of this excess weight. I do not recommend Blisovi Fe 1/20. I have 100% resented my body due to this medication, 130-155 lbs in 13 months."

For Birth Control "Do not take this pill. After 2 months, I am changing due to weight gain, anger, mood swings, extreme exhaustion to the point where I can't stay awake past 9 pm. I do not feel like myself, I have awful anxiety that I have never had before. The exhaustion is to the point where getting through the day has become an issue."

For Birth Control "I was previously on Gildess Fe 1/20, I was told it was no longer available, so the pharmacy switched me to Blisovi Fe 1/20. I've been on it for about three months, and I have gained about 20 pounds. I'm almost always moody and bloated. Before taking this medication, I weighed about 136, I now weigh 160 lbs. My doctor tried to tell me that there's no possible way it's because of the birth control, but I know for a fact that it is."

For Birth Control "I used to take Lo Loestrin Fe 1/20 for like 6 years, then saw a new gynecologist who likely wrote down my prescription wrong and I ended up getting Blisovi 1/20. I’ve been taking it for the last 10 months and have had a generally negative experience. Pros: seems to have cleared up moderate acne, especially on my chest. Cons: cramps and heavy period for the first few months. Extremely low to nonexistent sex drive. Gained about 12 lbs in the first two months with no lifestyle/diet change and now I can’t lose any weight, even after healthy eating at a caloric deficit and working out 5+ days a week for several months. Also have mood swings. Overall, this is just an okay birth control. I’m trying to change back to Lo Loestrin, but I’m worried about my acne coming back! The weight gain and low sex drive on Blisovi is a huge negative though."

For Birth Control "Birth control obviously affects every woman differently. But in my experience, it was not good. My sex drive decreased the moment I started taking this birth control. I started to gain weight, and I hated it. My diet didn’t change, neither did my exercise. So I was unsure as to why I had gained 20 pounds. But it all leads back to this birth control. As said, it will obviously affect everyone differently, but for this birth control, these effects seem to be the trend. Just be aware before you start taking it."

For Birth Control "Ok, so I started this pill in September of this year. It's December 24 - almost Christmas, and I am totally not feeling the Christmas spirit. This pill has made me gain an incredible amount of weight, my breasts hurt like anything to touch, my period has been 2 weeks on (I was taking this to regulate my period), I feel tired, I do not want to hang out or be seen by anyone. I am in my room 24/7. I really want to stop this pill."

For Birth Control "Worst birth control ever. My pharmacy randomly switched me to this 6 months ago after I had been on Microgestin for 2 1/2 years. Since being on Blisovi, I have gained 10 lbs, fainted twice, have horrible headaches and dizzy spells, nauseous constantly, no appetite, very sad, and get angry very easily. I also have barely any sex drive whatsoever. I barely have energy to want to do anything. I could sleep all day if I let myself. I've never felt so horrible in my entire life. After getting sick of gaining weight and fainting, I am finally stopping the pill. It is not worth it. BC is literal poison to the body. This brand just happens to be the worst one."

For Birth Control "I've been on this BC for a little over a year now and have consistently had problems with it and never fully connected the dots until I did more research on the drug. As far as preventing pregnancy, it works great, but aside from that, it wasn't. I didn't gain weight like some people, but it's affected my personality pretty severely. I get so emotional about everything. I cry really easily and I hate being alone. I'm so clingy to my fiancé, so much that whenever I have to go home (we live separately), I cry and cry when I'm at home without him. I get angry fast and I'm constantly irritated. I also get spotting a lot. If I take the pill even a few hours late, I get my period the next day, for like 3 days, even if I continued taking the pills."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Blisovi for a month now, and I haven’t really had any negative things happen to me besides some weight gain (but that’s probably because I don’t exercise, so whoops). The doctor said your body needs at least 3-4 months to adjust to the hormones, though, so hopefully everything will go back to normal. Earlier on, I did experience a little bit of nausea, but it went away after the 3rd week. ALSO, it does do its job on protecting from pregnancy. I had an accident around the twelfth day of me taking birth control, and my doctor said to wait a month before having unprotected sex, so I was super scared that I might’ve been pregnant. But then I got my period and was relieved. Definitely follow what your doctor says, though, so you don’t stress too much!! A bunch of sites say that you’re protected after 7 days of use, but for extra safety I’d wait until at least a month of using it. Overall, though, Blisovi has been a good first-time birth control for me."

For Birth Control "This birth control is terrible. I've never had acne before in my life, and now after taking this for almost 2 months, I have acne on my entire face, and also on my back. I have also gained 6 pounds, and this pill affects me emotionally very much. Since taking this pill, I now have bad social anxiety and constantly find myself tearing up for no reason at all. I am genuinely a happy person, and this birth control constantly has me feeling anxious or sad. The only positive of this is it has prevented pregnancy like its main purpose. I am now switching to a new brand."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Blisovi for 6 months and have had a great experience with the birth control so far. Luckily, I don't have any negative symptoms such as acne, depression, or mood swings. Some symptoms I've experienced are shorter periods with less cramping, larger breasts, and about a 5-pound weight gain (which isn't something to view as negative). My only personal thought or advice is to make sure you are treating your body like a queen... so eat healthy, exercise, and don't misuse the birth control."

For Birth Control "I love this Blisovi Fe birth control. Loestrin gave me horrible breast tenderness and made me gain weight. Sprintec gave me horrible exertion headaches during any strenuous physical activity, including sex. This birth control does its job. My only complaint is that I sometimes see spotting on week 2."

For Birth Control "I started taking Blisovi after my pharmacy switched me from Taytulla. I was only on it for a month and a half. Aside from the fact my skin was completely clear, the side effects were horrible for me. I gained some weight, and my mood swings were horrible. I've never in my life experienced severe anxiety until taking this pill. I genuinely thought I was going crazy. I never struggled with panic attacks until this pill. Every morning I woke up anxious. I also experienced really bad cramping and pelvic pain, and mild breast tenderness. I ended up convincing myself I was pregnant. I’ve been off of it for a week now, and I feel like my normal self. I’d be cautious on this one."
