For Birth Control "So, I used to be on Junel Fe, which worked great for me. I didn't notice any side effects at all, so to hear so many having trouble finding a decent BC was shocking. Unfortunately, my pharmacy stopped carrying it, without notice, so I had to look elsewhere. I transferred to one that was supposed to have it, yet they just gave me Blisovi Fe instead. I didn't mind it at first. But I have had the worst experience on this pill. Every bad side effect you can imagine. I constantly will get random nausea and bad headaches. I used to be in the low 120s in weight and am now 133 pounds. That is crazy to put on when my diet has been consistent for years. I don't recommend this pill for anyone. Some may be okay to take it, but I don't think it's worth the time."

"My doctor recommended these Blisovi pills to regularize my period and stop menstrual pain. I must say that the experience has been terrible for me. First, I gained 30 pounds, I feel unhappy, I am in a bad mood all the time, my head hurts, I have no sexual desire, and the irregularity of my period continues. I asked my doctor to change this pill, but she insisted on continuing it for 3 months. Reviewed the comments of the other women, I wonder how it is possible that this pill is on the market. I wonder what agency protects patients from situations like these. How is it possible that no one is responsible in cases like this? Our bodies and mental health are at risk, and no one is responsible. I decided to stop the medication today. I would rather have irregular periods than put my body and mental health care on the line."

For Birth Control "This was not a good option for me. I began taking Blisovi about 4 years ago because of my heavy periods. It stopped the heavy bleeding, but the side effects were horrible. For me, it took 3 years for me to really notice the side effects, and they seemed to get worse as time passed. I would get headaches about 2 days before and also 2 days after my cycle, along with severe anxiety, and just sad for no reason at all. I had no desire to have sex, and I would get really irritable. After going through about 4 to 5 days of this, the symptoms would just go away, and then would repeat the same cycle of side effects the following month. I spoke with my doctor about this, and he’s taken me off. This was my experience, everyone is different, and for some, this could be your resolution, for me, it just didn’t do it."

For Birth Control "I had been taking Microgestin for 2 years, lost my insurance, and had to take a break from my birth control. Finally got my insurance after about a 6-month break. I went to see my doctor, and she gave me Lo Loestrin. I took that for 3 months, but got no periods and no side effects. I wanted at least a light period to know I’m not pregnant. I was then given this Blisovi. The first week was bad with nausea and headaches. It was horrible, but the third week it got extremely bad. I started to get vertigo, and it absolutely wrecked my month. I went to a concert, had one drink, and almost fainted. I’ve taken 1/20 before, but something about this BC is not working. Good luck, ladies, hope this helps."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this medication for one week and feel moody, low on energy, bloated, just overall not well. Dizzy, heat is bothering me. Anxiety, just so tired, headaches. I am listening to what my body is telling me and will stop now."

For Birth Control "HORRIBLE! Within a couple of days of taking this medication, I started feeling irritable, anxious, nervous, sad, just extremely overwhelmed with emotions. I had horrible headaches, pelvic pain, and chest pain, you name it! I had a low sex drive, which was very unusual, but also made me have bad vaginal dryness. I stopped taking it halfway into my second week, and right away I felt like myself again. This pill was really mucking me up in every way possible. My poor boyfriend must have hated me during this time, I nearly drove him crazy too, lol."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this for almost 3 months (on my last week from the 3rd month), and I have NOT had my period yet. 1st month, I mean, I didn’t really get the side effects, my cramps and headaches were a bit worse than before, but nothing too bad. Sex drive is still the same, I love having sex. But no period, slight spotting for 2-3 days, that’s it. Second month, no period at all, same cramps and headache, and a bit of diarrhea (very uncomfortable). On my 3rd month, sticking with it because of the doctor's recommendation. If I don’t get my period this month, I may switch because not getting my period freaks me out, lol. I have taken other birth control pills (when I was 18, so I forgot the name), but I did not have these effects, I got my period the second month, it was very light, but it was there, lol. I may stick around for the 4th month to see if I’ll feel better, but so far I’m not really happy about this pill."

For Birth Control "I was put on this medicine for extreme cramping and heavy periods. I can say that this particular BC has been helpful in making my pain less severe and lightening my periods! On the other hand, I absolutely hate the side effects. It makes me so moody and depressed and just not myself. I end up getting headaches once a week, and all I want to do is sleep. It seems like my appetite fluctuates a lot more now than it used to. It seems like my PMS has gotten way worse on this medication. I’ve been on it for about 10 months, so it’s not just settling into the hormones."

For Birth Control "Headaches. Back pain. Nausea. Cramps. Periods heavier and longer than without it. Heavy spotting a week or two after my period. Absolutely horrible. Ratings are 3/10 everywhere. Unsure why it's still being prescribed if so many women suffer symptoms."

For Birth Control "I absolutely love this product and recommend it to everyone. I know everyone's body is different, so it is not for everyone, but it is not the medicine's fault. I have no negative symptoms since I started this. I used to have heavy periods, terrible cramps, and headaches, and my periods were super long. I now have super consistent 3-4 light periods, no cramps or headaches. I have been on this pill for over a year now and have no desire to switch."

For Birth Control "So if I could give zero stars, I would. I was so excited for starting first-time birth control, and the doctor prescribed me the lowest dose of hormonal birth control pill. I do not recommend anybody try this pill. I was just four days on it, and I had to stop. I got diarrhea since the second day until today, and I’m not even taking it the last 5 days. My hair started falling off a lot, and I have such strong headaches that I never had before. Do not take this pill!!!"

For Birth Control "Worst birth control ever. My pharmacy randomly switched me to this 6 months ago after I had been on Microgestin for 2 1/2 years. Since being on Blisovi, I have gained 10 lbs, fainted twice, have horrible headaches and dizzy spells, nauseous constantly, no appetite, very sad, and get angry very easily. I also have barely any sex drive whatsoever. I barely have energy to want to do anything. I could sleep all day if I let myself. I've never felt so horrible in my entire life. After getting sick of gaining weight and fainting, I am finally stopping the pill. It is not worth it. BC is literal poison to the body. This brand just happens to be the worst one."

For Birth Control "I have a congenital heart defect I was born with, so my Dr. prescribed me Losetrin FE about 5 years ago. Due to my insurance change, I had to switch to Blisovi FE 1/20, and let me tell you I love it. I have no headaches, vomiting, nothing. I took it 2 years straight, and when I was trying to get pregnant, I took a year off, and it still took me about 10 months to get pregnant with my son. He is 1 now, and I started back taking my pills again 7 months ago. My acne has gone away, I have regular periods to the date I took my last pill. Little to no cramping and light periods that last 3-5 days. I would highly recommend this pill. I know everyone's body is different. But just from my experience, I would highly recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I have been on Gildess for a while without any complications and was switched to Blisovi a couple of months ago. In the past 2 months, I have gained 10+ lbs, gone up a cup size, my pants don't fit, blurred vision, headaches, a lethargic hungover feeling, and depression. I eat healthy and work out 5-6 times a week and have never experienced anything like this. Stay away from this pill!"

For Birth Control "Blisovi Fe 1/20 is the worst!! It took me over 4 months to realize it’s my birth control. I did some research and realized this is the culprit of how bad I’ve been feeling. I got on this to help with my PCOS, but it gave me even worse symptoms. My boobs hurt bad, my ovaries hurt, I’m tired ALL THE TIME, gained weight, foggy brain, HEADACHES, my vision is blurry all the time, I have loss of appetite, my hair is falling out more, and I keep getting these huge patches of acne cysts! Also, I think I may be allergic. My skin has been so sensitive since I started it. I changed all of my detergents and soaps and nothing helped! I itch all day every day almost all over my arms, legs, earlobes, scalp, everywhere!! My skin looks like hives all over, even when doing something as simple as changing clothes. It’s miserable. I am convinced this is the worst birth control ever!! Would not recommend!!"

For Birth Control "The pharmacy started giving me this drug arbitrarily when they switched to CVS. The first month I didn't like it - was itchy for no reason, frequent headaches that wouldn't go away. The pharmacy tech told me, 'it can take up to 3 months to get used to it,' and no offer to switch. Over 4 months, I gained 15 pounds, had a headache almost every other day, extreme bloating and distention, fatigue, dizziness, indigestion, hazy vision, and problems with my contacts. I have been on many kinds of BC pills over the years, and this is by far the worst ever. It did what it was supposed to and kept me from getting pregnant, or I would have given a lower score. I couldn't take it anymore - there was no 'getting used to' it. I switched. Do NOT TAKE THIS PILL."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Blisovi for a little under a year after my doctor told me this was her favorite pill to recommend. Little did I know after reading these reviews, I would realize all of my problems can be contributed to this pill. No, I haven’t gotten pregnant. But I have regular nausea, migraines at least once every two weeks, loss of sex drive, and little natural lubricant. I get regular acne on the lower half of my face, which I haven’t experienced in years, which started when I got on this. When I miss a pill, I stopped doubling up the next day because I get massively nauseous to the point where I can’t move. It regulated my periods great, but this past cycle I mysteriously bled for two weeks straight, and since yesterday I’ve had a headache and steady nausea and burning in my stomach. A little terrified because I don’t have any acid reflux whatsoever, and my diet is very steady. I have a couple of weeks until I get back on insurance, so I am definitely switching to something else."

For Birth Control "Works as a pregnancy preventive, but wow, do the side effects suck. Constant pain in ovaries and abdomen, sharp cramps at random times in my cycle, nauseated, bloated, couldn't wear my contacts for a month straight due to eye irritation, chest pains, so, so, so moody and emotional for no reason. I was originally taking Gildess, and my pharmacy switched me in September 2016 to Blisovi Fe 1/20. I was fine in the first couple of months taking it, just nauseous here and there and occasional headaches, it was a good start. Then month 4-5 hit, and side effects got even worse. I would not recommend this pill unless you can deal with the side effects. I experienced every side effect mentioned on the prescription within 6 months on this pill."

For Birth Control "I was on Junel 1/20 and had no issues until my insurance switched me to Blisovi generic. I didn't realize it was the pills, but for months I had migraine-level headaches every day. This pill made me sick in a way Junel did not. If you are having weird side effects on the generic, go back to the name brand and see if your symptoms resolve - mine did literally three days after getting off Blisovi."

For Birth Control "I am 46 years old, and I have been taking this for a year now. I was on the mini pill prior to this for several years, and long story short, after switching two different OB-GYNs in a year, I was switched from a mini pill to this one. I was scared to switch from the mini pill to this one because the last time I was on a combo pill like this, I was overly emotional. But with this, I had no side effects. My periods are only 3-4 days long, they are very light and take care of 50% of the PMS I experienced without being on the pill. Now my PMS symptoms are, occasionally I get a headache at the beginning and sometimes a mild backache. I have been very pleased with knowing exactly when to expect my period and with how light it is. At 46 and single, birth control is still important to me, and this gives me peace of mind for more than just regulating my periods (which was why I started BCPs in the first place)."

For Birth Control "I was on BC for years and loved the convenience of it. I took a break for a few years, but my cycle became irregular. Hoping the pill would help regulate my cycle, I went on Blisovi. I was traveling a lot and assumed my extreme fatigue was due to my busy travel schedule. But no, it is definitely the pill. I'm constantly tired, have a persistent headache, feel like rundown like I'm about to develop a cold, sinus pressure, irritable mood, achy body. The only pros are clearer skin. I eat less but haven't lost any weight. It's the worst pill I've ever been on."

For Birth Control "Effective? Maybe. But it is everything Hester V. said and more! Do not take this pill! I also had my prescription through CVS, and they switched it on their own-not the doctor-due to insurance, price, etc. Don't do it-it's not worth it! Constant headaches, weight gain, blurred or double vision, major mood swings-every single side effect is true."

For Birth Control "I've been using this medication regularly for almost two years and have never had a desire to switch to anything else. It hasn't caused cramps, weight gain, spotting, nausea, mood swings, or acne for me personally. I'm naturally prone to mood swings and hormonal acne, and I feel like it actually regulates both issues, although they're not gone altogether. I do, however, get headaches when I go off this pill; there have been a few instances when I couldn't get my refill on time for either insurance or Rx issues, and after a few days off of this, I start to lose my appetite, become very fatigued, prone to headaches, and even migraines. That is my only concern."

For Birth Control "The Blisovi Fe 1/20 pill is absolute garbage. In the first few days of taking it, I've already gained 4 pounds. I have headaches every night so far and feeling super sick to the point of wanting to throw up. In the evenings, my mood swings have been ridiculous! My PMS weeks are usually bad and, like, this is my first week on this pack, and it feels like I am going through PMS. I suggest switching. I'm already done with this pill after I finish this pack. Thanks for the unnecessary anxiety, depression, and weight gain. No thanks."

"Ladies, this pill, Blisovi Fe 1/20, has been the biggest, most positive life changer I've been so fortunate to have. I took it for adenomyosis. I've spent many years trying different hormone and non-hormone birth control options and had absolutely sworn off any and all hormones since I had tried pretty much everything on the market. Over the last couple of years, I've developed extremely painful periods that have kept me from functioning at all. I became open to whatever my ob/gyn wanted to try, so we tried Blisovi Fe four months ago, and not only have I been able to bypass my period completely, I have zero side effects :) Nothing at all!! No spotting, weight gain, headaches, tenderness - nada. I'm so grateful for this, you have no idea!!"
