For Birth Control "I was on Blisovi Fe for a little over 4 months. The first 2 months on this pill, I felt zero side effects except for light brown spotting around the week I would normally have my period and during the placebo week. Then, beginning the next 2 months, the side effects began to reveal themselves. I experienced a significantly decreased libido, no interest in my partner or sex, painful sex (during and sometimes after), mysterious pelvic pain, random nausea, mental fog, subdued emotions, an overall feeling of sadness that couldn’t be explained, and unbearable migraines on the second day of the placebo weeks, which left me immobile for the entire day. The only benefits were that it cleared up my acne and protected me against pregnancy. This pill was not for me, and I will be switching. For reference, I’m in my early 20s and weigh 132 lbs."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control 4 years ago, and my side effects got worse and worse every year I was on it. I’ve never suffered from anxiety, and it made me literally so miserable. Stressed every day to the point where I’d start to shake and get nervous over nothing. I never knew what was causing this. My cramps were also so bad: pelvic pain and mood swings. I’d cry for an entire day and then be fine the next. Muscle aches as well due to my anxiety getting so bad. I also would become incredibly nauseous a few days before my cycle, sometimes, I would even throw up. There were nights where I would constantly just sit in my bathroom from a panic attack. I also got aggravated incredibly easily. I got off of this pill. Please do not take this. Believe every side effect. It got worse and worse every day I took it, and I never thought it could be my pill making me this miserable. The only thing it did for me was prevent me from getting pregnant."

For Birth Control "So, I used to be on Junel Fe, which worked great for me. I didn't notice any side effects at all, so to hear so many having trouble finding a decent BC was shocking. Unfortunately, my pharmacy stopped carrying it, without notice, so I had to look elsewhere. I transferred to one that was supposed to have it, yet they just gave me Blisovi Fe instead. I didn't mind it at first. But I have had the worst experience on this pill. Every bad side effect you can imagine. I constantly will get random nausea and bad headaches. I used to be in the low 120s in weight and am now 133 pounds. That is crazy to put on when my diet has been consistent for years. I don't recommend this pill for anyone. Some may be okay to take it, but I don't think it's worth the time."

For Birth Control "Six months ago, I was switched from Glidess to this. After switching, I had absolutely no sex drive and was moody. Three months after I started this medication, I had gained 10 lbs (I work with a trainer and eat healthy) and started to become sick. I had horrible cramps, with constipation or diarrhea and nausea every day. I went to see a specialist and was advised to take tests to see what was wrong (really expensive)! I finally made the connection that it could possibly be my birth control, even though my pharmacist and doctor said there was 0 chance that was it. I stopped taking this pill, and days later, I was fine. No more cramping, diarrhea or constipation, nausea, and bloating. (I’m losing weight back to my “normal self.”) My sex drive is back to normal too. I wrote this so others who have the same issue can be warned. I thought I had celiac, a food allergy, or an intestinal issue, that’s how sick I was. This pill ruined my life for six months."

For Birth Control "I'm currently on my second month of Blisovi 1/20. I was honestly very worried to start this birth control because of how many people were saying it had a drastic change in their mood. However, so far I haven't experienced many side effects. Sometimes I'll wake up nauseous here and there, and sometimes it'll feel like I'm having PMS symptoms. I've had severe anxiety since I was 2 years old, and I'm currently on 3 other medications for that. So far I've had no increase in anxiety or depression. I've also had very excruciating periods before taking Blisovi, to where I couldn't stand up straight or walk very much for the first day or 2. I was spotting for about a week after a few weeks of taking the pill, but ever since then I haven't actually gotten my period and have only had PMS symptoms, which is like a cakewalk compared to what I was dealing with before. I hope this helps!! (For reference, early 20s, 130 lbs)"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill for about 1-2 years. During the first week, I was horribly nauseous, and I broke out all over my cheeks. HOWEVER, it got a lot better for me at least, and I rarely get acne (although I didn’t take it for that, and I didn’t have severe acne before starting it). I take anti-anxiety pills as well, so if I do get sad, I don’t assume it’s due to my pill. It regulates my period and has helped with my cramps. I hope my review helps :)"

For Birth Control "This is my first time on BC, and before this pill, I had intolerable cramping at all times of the month, in addition to very heavy bleeding when I was on my period. My periods controlled my life and made it so I couldn't function half the time due to cramps, nausea, and fatigue. Now, on this pill, my periods are so much lighter and less painful. Even on my worst days, I can still function, as opposed to being bedridden 5-8 days a month like I was before. Don't let the bad reviews intimidate you, birth control has a different effect on everybody! Blisovi worked very well for me!"

For Birth Control "Ok, so I’ve been on Blisovi Fe for about a year and some change now. Never experienced so much anxiety in my life. Every day I would wake up anxious, stomach issues, etc. I finally came to the realization I’m not the only one who has felt this. I stopped a few days ago, and I’m feeling mentally better. I didn’t experience any weight gain, nausea, acne, or anything other than anxiety. This BC may not be right for everyone. I would have stayed on if it wasn’t for the increased anxiety."

For Birth Control "This pill is the worst. I was switched from Vienva to Blisovi about two months ago. The first period I had on it lasted maybe 2 days and was very light. I didn’t even have another period this month, so I’ve been stressing that I’m pregnant, but I’ve taken many tests, and they’re all negative. Between last month and this month, I had mysterious bleeding for about a week. I feel nauseous most of the time, extremely fatigued, depressed, and I’ve noticed my anxiety has gotten worse. I had it before, but I felt like I was getting better, especially socially, but it’s just getting worse now. I’ve lost interest in a lot of things because I have no energy, no matter how much I sleep. My acne has gotten worse on the lower half of my face near my mouth and chin. I’m going to switch back to Vienva soon, so hopefully I will feel better. I’m not myself. I strongly think it is this pill."

For Birth Control "I have not had a good experience with this BC pill. I took it for one month, and I felt horrible. My side effects were nausea, migraines, constant hunger, depression, bloated, brain fog, and many more awful feelings. I can't believe people are allowed to prescribe this to females. I get that everyone is different with different medicine, but after reading some reviews, it seems like a lot of ladies are having the same results as I am. Do not take this unless you have taken this before and have had no problems."

For Birth Control "I had been taking Microgestin for 2 years, lost my insurance, and had to take a break from my birth control. Finally got my insurance after about a 6-month break. I went to see my doctor, and she gave me Lo Loestrin. I took that for 3 months, but got no periods and no side effects. I wanted at least a light period to know I’m not pregnant. I was then given this Blisovi. The first week was bad with nausea and headaches. It was horrible, but the third week it got extremely bad. I started to get vertigo, and it absolutely wrecked my month. I went to a concert, had one drink, and almost fainted. I’ve taken 1/20 before, but something about this BC is not working. Good luck, ladies, hope this helps."

For Birth Control "I have been on several different forms of the pill for the last 5 years. I have been on this one for the past 6 months, and it is hands down the worst one to date. It gave me mood swings, no sex drive at all, horrible migraines, nausea, bloating, anxiety, and depression. I stopped taking it completely 2 weeks ago and have already noticed a huge difference. Yes, this pill is great at preventing pregnancy, but that's about it, and the side effects are not worth it. Please do not take this pill."

For Birth Control "This is my first time taking any form of birth control. I’ve been on this pill for about 5 days, and I’m feeling fine. The first day, I did experience some slight nausea, but it went away after around ten minutes. I don’t get any more of it (for now at least)! I haven’t noticed any side effects so far except for my period already starting to be a lot lighter. No acne, mood swings, weight gain, or anything so far. I’ll keep you guys updated next month :)."

For Birth Control "My doctor prescribed this Blisovi Fe 1/20 BC pill because I have secondary amenorrhea. I had a huge concern about the side effects when using the pill. Other than the common mood swings, nausea, etc. (regular side effects), I was 'eh' about that. So the first 2 weeks were pretty normal, up until the first day of the 3rd week. I woke up during midnight, I felt like I was dying because I never had a terrifying pelvic pain along with internal bleeding. I have amenorrhea, so I hadn't had regular periods in months. This didn't go away until a whole day had passed. I also had a loss of appetite because of this pill, I couldn't eat regular (healthy) food to relieve the nausea a bit for 2 1/2 days. I couldn't continue taking this pill because of that. So to sum it up, it does have its risks. I fear continuing to take this BC pill, so I had to stop. In my opinion, this pill isn't the 'safest'... so I'd think twice before taking this."

For Birth Control "I'm taking Blisovi for a while now, but I've noticed it causes my panicking to spike up to the point where I've been waking up every day at 4 am and puking and having diarrhea for hours. It is debilitating and causing me to miss out on my life. It gave me acne. I have to hold back tears and rage fits constantly, and I'm becoming so mad. I was on Prozac with it for a while, but I thought that's what was making me puke, so I stopped taking it, and it's still happening. Also, I have a constant weird taste in my mouth, almost like I'm hungry all the time, and it bothers me because I'm unable to eat anything due to the constant panicking I'm getting. The only thing Blisovi does is keep you from getting pregnant if you even dare to try not feeling rubbish enough to have sex."

For Birth Control "Headaches. Back pain. Nausea. Cramps. Periods heavier and longer than without it. Heavy spotting a week or two after my period. Absolutely horrible. Ratings are 3/10 everywhere. Unsure why it's still being prescribed if so many women suffer symptoms."

"Blisovi Fe has made me have a huge decrease in sex drive. This is probably the one and only disadvantage of this pill that was obvious. This has caused issues for my boyfriend and me since sex is very important in relationships. I am in the process of carefully trying new ways to boost my libido, which is already helping a bit. Despite this, the pill has changed my life. I started my period fairly young, and I would get the most horrible cramps. There were so many days when I had to get picked up because of how bad my cramps were. I could barely move, I would be super nauseous, extremely dizzy, bleed a lot, and it was overall so overwhelmingly painful. I managed to control it a bit as I got older, but once I started taking these pills, that pain went away! I stopped bleeding so much. I am now able to live a normal functional life when I get my period every month. This pill has also helped with the horrible acne that I had as well. My face is so clear now! I would rate this pill an 8/10."

For Birth Control "Honestly, my experience has been great. I've had close to no side effects. I take the pill at 5 pm and eat dinner shortly after to prevent nausea. Occasionally, I'll feel a wave, but I'll just eat something, drink tea, or go to bed, and all is well. I am purposely skipping my period by consistently taking this and have had no spotting, although I felt cramps on a couple of days during when it was supposed to be. Other than that, it's been great! Will update if need be in a couple of months."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Blisovi Fe 1/20 for 5 days. I used to take Lo Loestrin years ago, now that I started birth control again, my doctor prescribed me Blisovi. The first day was good, no side effects. The second day, I felt a little tired and did not have an appetite. The third day, Sunday, I felt horrible. I had a very bad migraine, was nauseous, threw up, I felt horrible. On Monday, I felt a bit better, I was still nauseous, did not have an appetite, but the headache was gone. Today, day five, I feel better, I still feel very tired but no nausea, and my appetite is back."

For Birth Control "Worst birth control ever. My pharmacy randomly switched me to this 6 months ago after I had been on Microgestin for 2 1/2 years. Since being on Blisovi, I have gained 10 lbs, fainted twice, have horrible headaches and dizzy spells, nauseous constantly, no appetite, very sad, and get angry very easily. I also have barely any sex drive whatsoever. I barely have energy to want to do anything. I could sleep all day if I let myself. I've never felt so horrible in my entire life. After getting sick of gaining weight and fainting, I am finally stopping the pill. It is not worth it. BC is literal poison to the body. This brand just happens to be the worst one."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Blisovi for a month now, and I haven’t really had any negative things happen to me besides some weight gain (but that’s probably because I don’t exercise, so whoops). The doctor said your body needs at least 3-4 months to adjust to the hormones, though, so hopefully everything will go back to normal. Earlier on, I did experience a little bit of nausea, but it went away after the 3rd week. ALSO, it does do its job on protecting from pregnancy. I had an accident around the twelfth day of me taking birth control, and my doctor said to wait a month before having unprotected sex, so I was super scared that I might’ve been pregnant. But then I got my period and was relieved. Definitely follow what your doctor says, though, so you don’t stress too much!! A bunch of sites say that you’re protected after 7 days of use, but for extra safety I’d wait until at least a month of using it. Overall, though, Blisovi has been a good first-time birth control for me."

For Birth Control "The absolute worst! I was nauseous all the time, threw up, and depressed. Also, sex drive and natural lubrication took a negative toll. I don't recommend this to anyone! It made my life miserable. My body felt extremely weak. It's just not worth it."

For Birth Control "- 1.5 months since I started taking Blisovi - 28 years old - Last time on BC was 10 years ago due to horrifying side effects on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (negative stars) - Week 1 on Blisovi: Nausea and weakness - Week 2 on Blisovi: Extreme drowsiness and exhaustion - Week 3 on Blisovi: Large appetite and cravings - Entire time on Blisovi: Mild acne, just a few pimples here and there - I’ve been very carefully watching my diet and trying to stay hydrated, so be aware and cautious of the side effects to stay ahead of the weight gain and so forth - I have not lost or gained weight— for me, that’s ok! - Most negative effect: Development of melasma (darkening of skin spots on face) **If melasma doesn’t get better, I will switch. I will update my review when I reach 3 months."

For Birth Control "I had a terrible experience with this drug. My libido was absolutely nonexistent on it and still has not returned a month after stopping. I started having panic attacks and depression symptoms on this pill, which I have never experienced as I am typically a very happy and calm person. Nausea for the first 2 weeks on it, but this went away with time, whereas the other symptoms only worsened with time."

For Birth Control "Only been taking Blisovi Fe 1/20 for a week now, but I was really skeptical after reading all the negative reviews. It seems to have improved my mood and my sex drive, and I know that is the opposite of what a lot of other people experienced so I thought I should share. The only negative so far is that I was a little nauseous the first few days of starting the pills. So far so good! Will update if I do have any negative effects down the line..."
