For Birth Control "Horrible. First pill, and it's the worst. Getting switched right away. Lots of nausea and stomach/upper abdominal discomfort and bloating. Does anyone have any better recommendations for BCP, like organic ones?"

For Birth Control "Was on Blisovi. I had been changed by my OBGYN - without telling me from Junel, which worked well for me for the last 3 years. For about 5 days before I threw it in the trash and had 3 panic attacks back to back. No history of recent struggles with anxiety or depression, but I can tell you my life literally paused on this pill for the few days I took it. The anxiety attacks felt like I was dying. Nausea was nonstop, constant need to just burst into tears, and heavy spotting. Basically, the only thing this pill did for me over the few days I took it was not allow me to get pregnant. If I can give some advice, talk with your doctor about the pros and cons before just giving it a go like I did. I learned my lesson here and won’t ever recommend this pill to anyone I know."

For Birth Control "I had to be switched to Blisovi Fe after almost having a stroke on Loryna. My body already produces high levels of estrogen, so my doctor figured this would mitigate my symptoms. I’ve been using Blisovi Fe for almost two years, and the only symptoms I have are spotting and a little nausea—but only when I miss doses and have to double up. Otherwise, my libido and mood have been unaffected, unless you count only having four periods or so a year. Everyone’s body is different—always talk to your doctor if you’re having side effects."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Blisovi for a little under a year after my doctor told me this was her favorite pill to recommend. Little did I know after reading these reviews, I would realize all of my problems can be contributed to this pill. No, I haven’t gotten pregnant. But I have regular nausea, migraines at least once every two weeks, loss of sex drive, and little natural lubricant. I get regular acne on the lower half of my face, which I haven’t experienced in years, which started when I got on this. When I miss a pill, I stopped doubling up the next day because I get massively nauseous to the point where I can’t move. It regulated my periods great, but this past cycle I mysteriously bled for two weeks straight, and since yesterday I’ve had a headache and steady nausea and burning in my stomach. A little terrified because I don’t have any acid reflux whatsoever, and my diet is very steady. I have a couple of weeks until I get back on insurance, so I am definitely switching to something else."

For Birth Control "Really don't trust this pill, although it treated my pain. This medication induces anxiety, and the side effects worsen with time. Around 3 months in, I started having panic attacks. From the beginning, nausea and vomiting were problems. Eventually, projectile vomiting turned into a daily occurrence. If you're taking other meds, this can affect their effectiveness. Can't wait to get off this med."

For Birth Control "I was very hesitant to take Blisovi 1/20 in the beginning due to all these negative reviews. I was initially on Tri-Sprintec but decided to switch due to the awful side effects (weight gain, low sex drive, emotional instability). I am almost finished with my second pack. During the first month, I was VERY nauseated. I found that by taking this pill at night, it decreased the feeling of nausea. I initially started BC because of acne, so I was scared when I switched to Blisovi. The first month, I did break out more than usual, but during the second pack, my acne lessened and lessened (while maintaining a good acne routine). I still maintain somewhat of a sex drive (more than when I was on Sprintec). I also lost weight while being on this pill (around 10 pounds). My periods are now shorter, which is awesome (around 2-3 days). I no longer have mood swings (I was to the point of crying every day on Sprintec). Every BC works differently for everyone, so maintain positivity and talk to your doctor."

For Birth Control "Works as a pregnancy preventive, but wow, do the side effects suck. Constant pain in ovaries and abdomen, sharp cramps at random times in my cycle, nauseated, bloated, couldn't wear my contacts for a month straight due to eye irritation, chest pains, so, so, so moody and emotional for no reason. I was originally taking Gildess, and my pharmacy switched me in September 2016 to Blisovi Fe 1/20. I was fine in the first couple of months taking it, just nauseous here and there and occasional headaches, it was a good start. Then month 4-5 hit, and side effects got even worse. I would not recommend this pill unless you can deal with the side effects. I experienced every side effect mentioned on the prescription within 6 months on this pill."

For Birth Control "The Blisovi Fe 1/20 pill is absolute garbage. In the first few days of taking it, I've already gained 4 pounds. I have headaches every night so far and feeling super sick to the point of wanting to throw up. In the evenings, my mood swings have been ridiculous! My PMS weeks are usually bad and, like, this is my first week on this pack, and it feels like I am going through PMS. I suggest switching. I'm already done with this pill after I finish this pack. Thanks for the unnecessary anxiety, depression, and weight gain. No thanks."

For Birth Control "I switched to Blisovi after taking the same pill for 8 years. The first few months were fine, but around 4 months in, I began experiencing mental health issues. I was anxious and nauseated 24/7, and would also get randomly depressed for no reason. I cried all the time and wanted to crawl out of my skin. I’ve dealt with some anxiety before, but nothing like this. Would not recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I have been on a few different birth controls in the past. I started this specific brand of birth control a little over a month ago. I have not seen any negative side effects other than being emotional, however, I will add I lost my son in October, so it’s hard for me to tell whether or not it’s because I’m still grieving, the birth control, or a mixture of both. Overall, I’m happy with this brand of birth control because I’ve always gotten extremely nauseated or just plain crazy and anxious on different types."

For Birth Control "I have bad fibromyalgia, and periods cause flare-ups to the point I cannot function—so my doc told me to take the first 3 weeks of each pack and switch to a new pack (no sugar pills) so I won’t have any periods! So far, I have no headaches, no cramping, cravings, or acne! I might be a tad more irritated, but it’s not like other BCs I’ve tried where it’s full-on rage! I also suffer from anxiety and depression, but with Blisovi, I feel confident and secure in myself! A little bit of sore breasts, but it’s so nice to have my hormones feel balanced and at ease for once! I’ve tried Tri-Lo Sprintec, Lo Loestrin, and a few other low-dose ones this year, and those side effects were just too strange to continue (like nausea and abdominal pain)! I’m very pleased thus far with Blisovi! And here I was about to give up on trying anymore due to months of trial and error."

For Birth Control "It’s been a little over a month for me. I wanted to give it more time, but I have been extremely emotional. I feel like crying all the time for no reason, and I am overly sensitive. I struggle with depression and anxiety, and I was hoping it would have helped. I’ve also gained nearly 10 pounds in the month I’ve been on it (I’m 22 and run about 3 miles a day). I’ve had headaches every day, and I was super nauseous when I first started the pill (it went away after a week). I wish I could give this pill more time, but I’m feeling like things are getting worse than better. I went on the pill to help with my extremely bad PMS-ing (sadness), but I feel sad all the time now."

For Birth Control "I've been on this drug for a month after stopping Depo-Provera. My doctor told me to take it at night to prevent nausea during the day, so that's what I did. Let me tell you that I'm nauseated 24/7. It's the WORST. I'm so uncomfortable. I've tried everything. The only thing that calms my stomach is smoking weed. I will be getting off of this medication and trying something with lower estrogen very soon. If you're thinking of BC pills, I would steer clear of this one unless you enjoy being nauseated all day and all night."

For Birth Control "I was on Gildess FE 24 (my first BC), and it was amazing! Sadly, like all good things, it didn't last, and the pharmacy switched me to a Blisovi FE 1/20. This pill had 7 inactive, while Gildess FE only had 4 inactive. I called my doc right away because I was concerned about the pill difference, and she stated usually the 7 inactive pills mean you'll have a longer period, which was a big red flag to me. The 1st Monday of this pill during my cycle, I felt weak + tingling sensation in my legs, and before I knew it, I PASSED out at my job. My doc stated it couldn't be the BC, but I know FOR SURE it was because I was bleeding a lot more than normal. I'm switching to a diff BC after 5 months of nausea + long period. BCs are always hits and misses, and this definitely was a miss."

For Birth Control "This pill makes my boobs hurt. Before taking the pill, I never really struggled with acne... Maybe a pimple here and there from time to time, but since starting this pill, I've had constant, painful breakouts that begin under the skin and turn into white pus balls. They are usually around my chin, mouth, nose, and forehead. I have NEVER experienced anything like this. Also having mood swings and depression. I also struggled with nausea the first month but was able to fix that by taking the pill at night instead. I'm going to look for another pill that doesn't cause acne."

For Birth Control "I took this pill for only a week. I had nausea, vomiting, and the worst headaches. I already had anxiety, but in just a few days, it intensified. I know my Dr. said it takes time to adjust, but there’s no way I could live through the migraines from this pill and still do everyday life!"

For Birth Control "I got this Blisovi Fe 1/20 birth control for prevention of another ovarian cyst bursting. Before this, the only other birth control I had for any period of time was the Implanon implant. The Implanon didn’t agree with my body, but I kept it the full 3 years anyway to prevent pregnancy. Blisovi Fe 1/20 doesn’t really agree with me either. I’ve been on it for 6-7 months, and I get horrible nausea if I don’t take it before bed. I get headaches all the time now. I’ve lost my appetite almost completely. Today I had such extreme nausea that was only relieved by throwing up three times. My sleeping pattern is all out of whack. I'm not 100% sure this pill is to blame, but it’s the only thing I’ve been doing differently lately. I tried the NuvaRing for a while as well, and that didn’t agree with me either. Not sure what I’ll do."

For Birth Control "All birth control has to be given at least a couple of months for the side effects to subside. KEEP THAT IN MIND! At first, I felt nauseous for the first week or so right after taking the pills, but it subsided. I felt my body adjusting hormonally each day the first couple of weeks or so. My mood adjusted as well, especially during the first period on the pill, I cried so much! I’m fine now after two months. I get a very light period, I get a little moody during my period, but not as much as I did when I wasn’t on birth control. Birth control prevents pregnancy, and side effects should be expected, wait them out. Everyone’s experience is completely different. Vitamin B has helped with mood and energy too, as recommended by my doctor."

For Birth Control "I was originally on Junel, but my pharmacy changed it to Blisovi. I figured all would be fine since it should basically be the same thing, just generics of each other. Well, I was wrong. So wrong. I only took it for a month because of how sick it made me. Constant nausea to the point of dry heaving. Headaches, which of course did not help the nausea. I wanted to try to give it a month, but I couldn't take the last two active pills because I was so sick. The day after I stopped taking it, I felt about 80% better. And two days after I stopped, I felt 100% normal. I will never recommend this to anyone. I know every person is different, but this was the worst experience I've ever had in my 12 years of taking birth control."

For Birth Control "The moment I started taking this pill, my experience was awful. I have now been on it for almost 4 months and would have extreme headaches, cramps, and very heavy and long periods. Now, I'm getting spells of terrible anxiety and depression, upper abdominal pain, nausea, and can barely keep my contacts on my eyes. I've never had these problems before and am now trying to detox this god-awful pill from my body. I never had this issue with other pills, but this is personally the worst."

For Birth Control "After reading these posts, I have had similar symptoms. I have had acne, but it's not the kind that is filled with pus, it's the hard ones that hurt and leave a scar even if you don't touch it. This pill, in the first week, makes me extremely nauseous and shaky. I don't eat much when on this pill, so I have been losing a lot of weight, which, to be honest, I'm slimming down in my waist and belly area. I don't even eat some days, which is extremely bad, so I just drink lots of water and juices. I have been eating snacks rather than a full meal. If I do, it's one big meal for the day (mostly dinner), and that's it. I haven't gotten pregnant yet. I take the pill every day at 7 a.m., so I should be okay, but I will come back and review."

For Birth Control "Before I started this medication, my periods were extremely painful, and I had severe mood swings. On a pain scale from 1-10, I would say I was at a 10; when I had cramps, I would have to leave school for at least a day or two and was bedridden and had no appetite. Once I started taking these pills, my periods became just a tad bit lighter, yet the pain barely stopped. From a ten, it went to an 8, which left me disappointed. The only upside I saw from this pill was I actually lost weight, yet everything else that came with my PMS remained the same (tender areas on the body, swollen lymph nodes, bloatedness, nausea, etc.). I was on this medication for a year, and my periods became even more irregular."

For Birth Control "First time using any type of BC, and I believe a great one to start off with. During the first week, I did have some nausea and spotting, but it helped with my heavy flow and acne. Sex drive was normal as well. From having a period of heavy flow for 8 days to a consistent 4 days with light flow. Saves money on tampons, and it gets the main job done."

For Birth Control "Insurance changed and had to switch over from Microgestin. I was on Microgestin for 2 years with no problems or symptoms at all. Only a week into the new pills, I started experiencing awful nausea and bloating. The stomach knots were nonstop, and for being a person who is rarely emotional, I have never cried more. Hormones were out of control, definitely don't recommend this birth control."

"I was on birth control for years and stopped for a few years. My doctor started me on Blisovi Fe 1/20 because my periods were very heavy. I started it on my first day of bleeding. It's been 16 days, and I'm still bleeding. It's more heavy than before. I had to call my doctor, and she had me take estrogen pills for a day. I wound up throwing my birth control pills out. I'm done with this."
