For Birth Control "My pharmacy gave me this one because they were out of stock of my usual birth control. Let me tell you, it gave me the worst side effects! Side effects I have never experienced before on birth control. I had weight gain, acne, was very moody/depressed, I hated to be touched in any way, and I also had a decrease in sex drive. It made me feel like I was turning into a different person. I recently talked to my gyno about it, and she told me to stop taking it and to continue my old prescription of birth control. Something does not seem right about this birth control. I would give it 0 stars if I could."

For Birth Control "Blisovi Fe 1/20 is the worst!! It took me over 4 months to realize it’s my birth control. I did some research and realized this is the culprit of how bad I’ve been feeling. I got on this to help with my PCOS, but it gave me even worse symptoms. My boobs hurt bad, my ovaries hurt, I’m tired ALL THE TIME, gained weight, foggy brain, HEADACHES, my vision is blurry all the time, I have loss of appetite, my hair is falling out more, and I keep getting these huge patches of acne cysts! Also, I think I may be allergic. My skin has been so sensitive since I started it. I changed all of my detergents and soaps and nothing helped! I itch all day every day almost all over my arms, legs, earlobes, scalp, everywhere!! My skin looks like hives all over, even when doing something as simple as changing clothes. It’s miserable. I am convinced this is the worst birth control ever!! Would not recommend!!"

"I started this birth control, Blisovi Fe 1/20, to control or minimize severe PMS symptoms (pelvic pain, cramping, bladder pain, irregular bleeding, irritability, strong fatigue). Upon starting the pill after switching from another BC, I had brown spotting. This lasted a week and developed into heavier bleeding and clotting, especially at night. I bled for the entire 3 weeks of the pill pack, and it got progressively heavier. Also had bloating, cramping, irritability, terrible anxiety, mood swings, weight gain, fatigue, probably from all the bleeding. I had a full-blown panic attack in a situation where I would have typically been able to regulate my emotions. I stopped taking the pill after pack 1, and the next day I stopped bleeding. This definitely did not work for me."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for about 4 years now. I was really worried after I had a traumatic experience with Yaz, so my doctor recommended this. It's honestly great, I have had zero side effects (e.g., mood swings, weight gain, acne), and my periods are almost nonexistent. I have found that if I miss a pill, I'll start spotting, and occasionally my periods didn't even happen (which worried me). I give it a 9/10 due to occasional spotting. I will never use a different BC."

For Birth Control "I have been on this BC for 4 weeks. Obviously, with new hormones in your body, things are going to change, and you may break out or gain weight. The first week I was on this BC, I had a very bad breakout, I was very moody, and I had a hard time waking up. Now that I'm on my second dosage, my acne has cleared, and I am waking up on time. I'm still somewhat moody, but overall, the pill has been working, and I don't regret taking it. As far as weight gain, I have gained a couple pounds, but I have been working out a lot more recently."

For Birth Control "The absolute WORST medicine I've ever taken. I haven't seen a single good review on this, and now I'm wishing I would have read these sooner. Every single one of them is true, there's a reason this is rated 2/10. I wouldn't have given it a 1 if it gave me a choice for 0. I was seeing double for weeks and thinking that it may have just been that my eye doctor didn't shape my contact right, sure enough, it was this awful birth control. I had 3 periods or 'breakthrough bleeding' 3 times, and I was only on my second week of the second month. I gained 15 lbs in that short amount of time, and after researching it, I stopped taking it immediately, 2 days ago, and my eyesight went back to normal almost immediately. I've already lost 5 lbs in two days."

For Birth Control "Absolutely horrible. I was on another combination pill for about 4 months before this birth control. I was already struggling with the side effects of my previous birth control, and Blisovi Fe made it 10x worse. Extreme anxiety, paranoia, weight gain, constant spotting off and on, painful sex (which I’ve never had before this birth control), I started really despising everyone around me, random pelvic pain, constant bowel movements, and many more. I haven’t even been on this birth control for a whole month. I genuinely thought I was going crazy and couldn’t figure out why I was having problems until I realized it all matched up to me using this birth control."

For Birth Control "I am 21 and around 110 lbs. My doctor prescribed this for me when I was 20 because I was getting married and also for my irregular periods, which are so bad usually I pass out/faint. I've been taking this for around a year. I have experienced extreme depression and suicidal thoughts. I have gained weight, and it has lowered my sex drive and made sex painful. My periods are still irregular."

For Birth Control "This was the worst experience of my life. If you are thinking about using this pill, I highly recommend that you switch to a different brand and don’t use it at all. I was on this pill for about 6 months, and I have gained so much weight. I have always been pretty skinny, but now I’m finding it hard to fit into my old clothes, and I am also bloated 24/7. On top of getting fat, I got my period for two weeks each month, and I still got bad cramps, which was one reason I started using the pill. Another reason I started using this pill was for my skin, and after starting, my skin only got worse. I am so relieved to be off this pill and to never have to use it again. Worst experience ever."

For Birth Control "Did not work for me. Pill made me gain 12 pounds and gave me horrible acne all over my face. I never had this problem until I started this pill. I thought I'd give it a few more months to adjust, but I would just keep breaking out with new pimples every day! Horrible."

For Birth Control "I was very hesitant to take Blisovi 1/20 in the beginning due to all these negative reviews. I was initially on Tri-Sprintec but decided to switch due to the awful side effects (weight gain, low sex drive, emotional instability). I am almost finished with my second pack. During the first month, I was VERY nauseated. I found that by taking this pill at night, it decreased the feeling of nausea. I initially started BC because of acne, so I was scared when I switched to Blisovi. The first month, I did break out more than usual, but during the second pack, my acne lessened and lessened (while maintaining a good acne routine). I still maintain somewhat of a sex drive (more than when I was on Sprintec). I also lost weight while being on this pill (around 10 pounds). My periods are now shorter, which is awesome (around 2-3 days). I no longer have mood swings (I was to the point of crying every day on Sprintec). Every BC works differently for everyone, so maintain positivity and talk to your doctor."

For Birth Control "I have had more migraines in my entire life than I can recall since taking this. Started to have back pain flare up. I also started to itch, and my hair started to fall out. I would have ZERO energy and feel depressed and anxious all the time. Gained 20 pounds since starting to take this pill. I've noticed my vision up close has become blurry, I was not sure if it's because I'm close to 40 years old or the pill."

For Birth Control "This pill was effective at preventing pregnancy, and luckily I did not experience weight gain or acne, but one thing I will say is that it gave me horrible mood swings. For months, I thought I was going crazy until I realized my emotions were magnified and fluctuated so much because of this pill. One second I'd be happy, the next I'd experience an overwhelming sadness, and I'd cry for no reason. I even had problems with my boyfriend because I would get irritated and angry over the smallest things. I felt such a lack of energy, at times I felt depressed, and I was just unhappy most of the time. I also began to experience severe pain during intercourse. I have recently stopped taking it and hope to find a better pill in the future."

For Birth Control "Like many others here, I was prescribed Gildess by my doctor and used it for over a year without a single side effect. This past month, I went to pick up a refill and was informed that it had been discontinued and was given Blisovi as a substitute. I have had an absolutely horrible experience. In the past month, I have gained 5 pounds (which is a lot on my 5'1" frame), experienced extreme changes in mood (unpredictable anger/depression), and this past week I've started to experience frequent panic attacks. My vision has deteriorated noticeably, and I have felt periodically dizzy. Do not take this!"

For Birth Control "Effective? Maybe. But it is everything Hester V. said and more! Do not take this pill! I also had my prescription through CVS, and they switched it on their own-not the doctor-due to insurance, price, etc. Don't do it-it's not worth it! For Birth Control "I was another unfortunate user who was switched to this brand when my pharmacy could no longer get my previous birth control. The pharmacy says it is the same as the other brand I was taking, but within 6 weeks of taking this birth control, I gained about 18 pounds. I haven't changed exercise, diet, or general lifestyle stress, which leads me to believe it was from this. Didn't get me pregnant though!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for nine months now. At first, the worst side effect was major spotting even if I barely missed the time I’m supposed to take it by fifteen minutes. I also gained seven pounds the first three months. That weight must’ve been water retention because now I’ve lost that weight plus more. The only really bad side effect I have now is increased moments of sadness and anxiety. I also, in the last two months, have really started to suffer from vaginal dryness even when I want to have sex. I’m going off of this pill in two months because we are going to start trying for a baby. I’m beyond excited to go off and hope I get rid of the dryness because it really does affect my sex life. For Birth Control "The Blisovi Fe 1/20 pill is absolute garbage. In the first few days of taking it, I've already gained 4 pounds. I have headaches every night so far and feeling super sick to the point of wanting to throw up. In the evenings, my mood swings have been ridiculous! My PMS weeks are usually bad and, like, this is my first week on this pack, and it feels like I am going through PMS. I suggest switching. I'm already done with this pill after I finish this pack. Thanks for the unnecessary anxiety, depression, and weight gain. No thanks."

For Birth Control "I took this for about 10 months. Immediately I put on 10 pounds. I was able to lose some of that in time for a vacation, but as soon as that vacation was over, I put on more and more weight: 30 pounds total. I just couldn't stop emotionally eating. I didn't associate it with the birth control because I got promoted to a more stressful position at work and also went through a breakup. However, months after trying and trying, I just couldn't lose any weight. Maybe I would lose 5 pounds, but just binge eat and put it right back on, plus some. I just stopped taking it about a month ago and immediately lost 6 pounds, presumably water weight. I feel the pounds slowly creeping off. The only thing the pill ever did for me was keep my skin clear and keep me from getting pregnant. I started breaking out again, but I'd rather have a few spots and not be disgusted with myself and my body."

For Birth Control "Awful, I used to be on Sronyx and then Levonorgestrel for a while when my gyno switched me to Blisovi (saying it would make my period more regular and shorter). It's been the worst birth control experience I've had in the 6 or 7 years I've been on birth control. It didn't really have any effect on my acne (I did notice more red spots though), but it affected my weight and emotions like CRAZY. I've been on it for 6 months with no improvement (if anything, the symptoms are getting worse). No dietary or exercise changes, and yet I keep gaining weight and getting stretch marks. I find myself constantly crying at nothing, and I've noticed circulatory changes too. I've always had bad circulation, but on this pill, I find myself with more bruises than ever before. It also made my period all out of whack. I would miss a period, have random outbursts of spotting, and, to make matters worse, I was still cramping badly. Do not recommend, but it may work for the right people."

For Birth Control "If you have anxiety/depression, do not take Blisovi Fe 1/20!!! Seriously, I went into horrible mood swings and would constantly be at a low or a high. Irritability was so bad I couldn't be around anyone without going off on them. The boob soreness was constant, and it made me have large amounts of acne. I also found an increased appetite on this and gained a total of 20 pounds! I just recently switched, and my mood has gone back to how I was before.... it's absolutely insane what this did to me. Please take this into consideration as I don't wish this on anyone. Absolutely the worst 6 months. I thought I lost my mind."

"I took Blisovi Fe 1/20 for 3 months, and I recently decided to stop taking it. Within a month and a half after starting it, I ended up with a UTI (which I've never had before in my life). Then, 2 yeast infections, vaginal irritation that never seems to go away, plus sore breasts that burned in the nipples too, depression and mood swings (I'd be angry, then cry for no reason), plus decreased sex drive, weight gain, headaches, spotting between menstrual cycles, and heavy bleeding during it. I just can't take this pill anymore. I'd rather have ovarian cysts (which is what it was prescribed to help me with)."
