For Birth Control "I started with Loestrin, then the pharmacy kept changing, and eventually, they gave me this. At first, it seemed okay. I had lost a lot of weight before I started taking this pill, and before I knew it, I became twice my size. My boobs doubled, if not tripled. I was moody all the time and depressed. My period became longer than normal: 5 to 6 heavy days as opposed to 3 normal with light drops on day 4. I was bleeding heavily for at least 5 days and started feeling cramps, even pains in between were like my period was coming early. I have stopped taking it for about a month now. I am planning a 2-month cleanse, then back to Jumel Fe. Hopefully, it can be controlled, but please stay away from this, and I hope it is discontinued."

For Birth Control "I have been on birth control for almost a year now. I originally was prescribed micro estrogen, and for the time I used it, I had no problems. After a while, my insurance company forced me to get my prescription mailed. Once I did, they put me on Blisovi. The first couple of months were fine, although I got acne and gained 10 pounds. As of recent, this pill has triggered my anxiety. I can hardly sleep. My bowel movements are even off. When I read reviews, it finally clicked that it was my birth control. I would never recommend this to anyone."

For Birth Control "I'm on my second month of taking Blisovi, and so far, it's going good. I'm 20, almost 21 years old, and this is my first birth control pill. Before taking Blisovi, I would break out all the time, and now I have no zits or nothing! And before taking this, my periods would be really heavy, and I would get really bad cramps. Now my period is actually lighter, but it also makes my period last around 7-8 days, so that's a downside. Another downside I have with this pill was that it made me gain almost 15 pounds. I eat healthy, with the occasional chips every now and then, but wow, you can tell that I've gained weight. But other than those few cons, this pill has been working good for me."

For Birth Control "Let me start off saying that this birth control is the worst. I have been taking it for a year now, and I have never felt worse. The first four months were okay, I didn't notice any bad side effects except for minor cramps every day. After about five months, it started to get worse. I have gained 15 pounds, and it's extremely noticeable. All I crave is junk food. I'm way more irritable, and all the time. The week before my period is horrible. I often get bad PMS before my period, but the pill amplified it. It's even affected my sex drive, which is now non-existent. The pill works for pregnancy prevention, but I would not recommend taking it."

For Birth Control "It’s been a little over a month for me. I wanted to give it more time, but I have been extremely emotional. I feel like crying all the time for no reason, and I am overly sensitive. I struggle with depression and anxiety, and I was hoping it would have helped. I’ve also gained nearly 10 pounds in the month I’ve been on it (I’m 22 and run about 3 miles a day). I’ve had headaches every day, and I was super nauseous when I first started the pill (it went away after a week). I wish I could give this pill more time, but I’m feeling like things are getting worse than better. I went on the pill to help with my extremely bad PMS-ing (sadness), but I feel sad all the time now."

For Birth Control "I used to be on Gildess for years and never had a problem with it. When they discontinued it, I was prescribed Blisovi. When I first got my period, I had insane headaches and thought I just needed to adapt to the pill. My periods on Gildess lasted like 3-4 days, now on Blisovi, they last over a week and are heavy. In 2 months, I have gained over 10 lbs, and I work out 5-6 days a week, and my breast size went up a cup. I called my physician after reading everybody's reviews and experiencing all the negative symptoms."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for about 4 months now. I haven't gotten my period for 2 months, and it has helped a lot with my cramps. But it has made me gain so much weight, I've gained around 12 pounds. I also have had terrible mood swings and anxiety. I'm really hoping the side effects get better, or I will be switching birth controls."

For Birth Control "This is absolutely the worst birth control for me. I was on Lo Loestrin for about 4 years before I was forced to switch to Blisovi because my insurance would only cover this one. I was told this was the generic version of Lo Loestrin and that it would essentially be the same, but it's definitely not. I've been on it for 2 months and so far I have gained weight (not a ton but a little), gotten acne whereas my skin was very clear while on Lo Loestrin, had an increase in appetite, have had really bad anxiety, have not been able to sleep, and I've gotten my period 2 times within 1 month. Also, when I get my period it's really long and really heavy. Overall, this birth control has made me want to stop using birth control in general. I do want to just say also that birth control definitely affects everyone differently, so if you have the option, give it a try, but listen to your body and switch off of it if you feel that it's negatively affecting your physical/mental state."

For Birth Control "This was my first form of birth control. I started it 3 months before I got married in preparation to not get pregnant. I gained weight from this drug, but I also was a newlywed, and COVID had just hit, so I’m not sure how much I can attribute the weight gain to the pill. The first month, I could barely sleep, but this eventually subsided in month 2. The only other issue I had was I started to have breakthrough bleeding every month around month 3 until I finally switched to something else. I switched to the patch now to hopefully have fewer issues with breakthrough bleeding and less weight gain (also not have to remember to take a pill every day)."

For Birth Control "I have been taking birth control for about 15 years. Started with Microgestin for a while, had little to no side effects while taking that. I was able to maintain my weight and also lose weight when I was trying. About 4 mo. ago, I picked up my prescription to see that it was now Blisovi. I began my cycle of the pill and a few weeks in, I gained about 8 lbs. My lower abdomen was rock hard (like I was pregnant), I had constant fatigue and brain fog, and not to mention; I started to get acne! (I have never had skin issues before in my life!). I was even having terrible migraines and joint pain. I am a teacher and a Zumba instructor by night, so I’m very active, also taking weight loss pills and still gained so much weight because I couldn’t stop eating! I finally realized that I should check into the reviews of the product. For three months I could not figure out what was wrong with me. I was getting so depressed because of the side effects. I called my OBGYN and requested a new pill."

For Birth Control "I started this a while back (over a year ago) to help regulate my periods because they were all over the place! It helped so much, so my doctor told me when my periods were regulated, I could stop taking the pill, but the second I stopped, my periods got wack again. I just got back on it about two months ago, and my periods are normal again. It does take a little time for it to regulate, though, so don't give up after the first month! I was super nervous because everyone talks about weight gain, mood swings, etc. But honestly, I lost weight (possibly because I ate cleaner due to the fact I was scared to gain weight because of my birth control). But still, I did lose weight, and I only had a little bit of mild mood swings at the beginning."

For Birth Control "I read the reviews for this pill first before I started officially taking it. My pharmacy stopped carrying the brand I used to take, and I was curious about what people thought of this pill. I was nervous once I read the comments but remember everyone's body is different. I did not have any major weight gain, I instead lost weight. My acne did get worse, but that was also the side effect of the topical cream I use for it as well. The only negative to this pill was my anxiety. I have diagnosed generalized anxiety disorder and I do not take medication for it. I have found my own ways to cope without medication. However, I noticed while on this pill my anxiety worsened extremely. Everyone is different, do not let these reviews discourage you."

For Birth Control "I was on birth control for years before having children. After #3, we decided we were done and began taking pills again, the one I was on before kids wasn't such a great match, so Blisovi is my second go-round. I have been on it for 5 months, and other than spotting the second week of the first pack, I haven't had a period, which is good and bad. I am always paranoid, so not having anything happen is a bit stressful for me. This one has also made me super tired (the week of inactive pills, I'm nowhere near as tired), the acne comes and goes, and I have gained about 10 lbs despite running. No mood changes or any other real complaints. Just switching because I need to have a period or something that resembles one to stay sane."

For Birth Control "I was very nervous to try this pill after reading the negative comments. After speaking to my pharmacist, he suggested I try it because “each person has a different experience.” Here is my honest opinion, I hope it helps, and I hope you have the same outcome as I. I have been on this pill for 7 months now. In the first two months, I did get a few more pimples. I cranked up my water intake, and that took care of that. No problems since then. Cramping is minimal on the day before I start and the day of my first day. I started this pill because I had menstrual migraines. It has helped tremendously. It takes a few months for your body to adjust, it did for me. I am pleased. However, I have gained about five or so pounds. That could be from the pill or from my lack of attention to detail when it comes to my food intake. Make sure to incorporate exercise into your daily routine. It’s good for you anyways. I’ve adjusted the mg on this pill once."

For Birth Control "I was switched to this generic at the beginning of the year by my insurance. I was on Generess (chewable) with no problems whatsoever. This pill has made me gain weight. I have stubborn acne in odd places (face, chest, even down there!) that won't go away or pop. My anxiety is through the roof. At least it makes my periods light and pain-free."

For Birth Control "I've been on this version for around 10 months. Initially, I really liked it! My breasts were super sore for the first 6 months (and definitely got bigger), which I didn't particularly mind as I didn't notice any other symptoms. Fast forward to now, and the long-term effects of this pill are coming to light. I've gained 22 lbs since I started (without any changes to diet/exercise), and am still slowly climbing. My body doesn't cooperate with me during exercise like it used to, and I feel out of energy. Also, I stopped getting my period altogether. The most I've ever gotten is a tiny bit of dark-colored discharge during my placebo weeks. I get 'hot flashes' about 5-6 hours after taking my pill every day and constantly feel warm. I didn't ever notice any changes to my skin at all, but my hair definitely got a lot greasier. Trial and error! Will be switching."

For Birth Control "I've been on Blisovi Fe for two months now. In my first month, I experienced a lot of spotting, like I wasn't on my period but would have to use a tampon for spotting. It lasted about three weeks and has gotten way better, but I still have random spotting at least once a week. I've also noticed a small amount of weight gain, mostly in my breasts, they've grown from a D to a DDD. But with my last birth control, I gained 20 pounds in my first month on it, so I can't complain in comparison to that. Now, in my second month, I'm experiencing more hormonal acne, but I'm assuming, like the spotting, it won't last and is just my body adjusting. I think all birth control sucks and has negative impacts on your body, but so far this isn't the worst."

For Birth Control "I started taking Blisovi Fe (5 mg) because my periods are heavy and so painful that I would miss school. Also, I recently had some bad acne, so I thought the pill would help that, but it was mostly for my periods. For maybe two weeks, I had a long period, which did end, but it was slightly alarming. I don't know if this matters, but I am 16 years old and I have slightly high testosterone. After a month of this BC, I experienced every symptom you can read! I've had depression and mood stuff previously, but I would classify it as normal teenage girl feelings. After a month of the pill, I feel like a totally different person. I'm very depressed, anxious, very irritable, easy to make me angry, I am sensitive to heat, it makes me nauseous, I have my own hot flashes, panic attacks, anger out of nowhere, constant hunger which led to weight gain. I have a good diet, and I exercise 4 days out of the week. The only pro is acne is gone, and no period or cramps at all! But emotionally, not worth it."

For Birth Control "When I first got onto birth control, Blisovi was my first and it went great. It helped with my slight case of PCOS, made me lose weight, and cleared all of my acne. Then I got a new gyno, and she said they didn't have Blisovi anymore. I started Hailey Fe, and it made me gain weight, which was really annoying to deal with. I saw a new gyno, and after considering other birth control options, I chose Blisovi again. I started it about two weeks ago, and I have been crying every single day, and my acne has gotten worse. I am hoping this will clear up shortly, and I will be normal like I was before while taking Blisovi, but hormonal changes are no joke."

For Birth Control "I am about two months into starting BC for the first time, and I couldn’t be happier. My periods used to be 4 days of excruciating cramps, hot flashes, and extreme mood swings. I absolutely love this. I have no period now (just some light spotting) around the time I would get my period. I have gained about 5 pounds, but that isn’t an issue for me. My breasts did get larger, but I will take a few negative side effects over my extreme periods. My mood is way better, and I don’t have any pain anymore!"

For Birth Control "I haven't taken birth control for over 5 years, but my OBGYN recommended it for some medical issues. I have gained a significant amount of weight and so irritable. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner, but it just dawned on me it could be my birth control since I've taken it for a few months now. I would not recommend it and would talk to your doctor for other suggestions."

For Birth Control "I was switched to Blisovi when my insurance changed a few months ago and have had a terrible experience! My periods are horribly irregular, I constantly bleed in between and have gained over 10 pounds (which is a lot for as small as I am). The bloating is constant and so, so uncomfortable. It is almost impossible to sleep well, which I first thought was from a busy schedule, and even when I sleep, I NEVER have the energy to get through the day without being exhausted. I truly do not recommend this drug, not at all worth the awful side effects."

For Birth Control "I have noticed that my periods have become basically nonexistent, which made me worry I was pregnant. After looking at everyone’s experiences, it has made me realize I also have weight gain (10 lb), major mood swings, low libido, and emotional spells for no reason. I have been on this brand of BC for about 4-5 months now, and the only good thing is the light periods and no pregnancy. I am asking my doctor to change brands if possible."
