For Birth Control "I was only on this BC for a month, and I had to stop. I was on Natazia for 8-ish years, and after some issues with my period being inconsistent, my ob-gyn suggested switching. My mood swings were insane. I was happy one second and then insanely mad the next. I would stay mad for days, and the smallest things would irritate me. I’ve been off this BC for a week, and I’m already feeling more like myself. I still get agitated now and then, but I’m also still on my period, so I’m just contributing that to PMS. I didn’t gain weight, but I also didn’t lose weight. I’m on weight control medicine to help me lose weight, and generally, I lose around 10 pounds a month, but this month I lost nothing, and I honestly contribute that to the BC. This pill is making me strongly consider getting off of BC for good or going back to Natazia and dealing with inconsistent periods. I do NOT recommend."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for 2 months now, and I'm stopping today. The first month wasn't that bad, I had a little water retention, but it went away eventually, and every now and then I was a bit moody. But going from not being an emotional person at all to being moody was already enough to make me want to stop. I decided to go another month just to see if my body would get used to it. The second month was the most emotional month of my entire life, I've never had so many terrible mood swings to the point my boyfriend doesn't even know who I am anymore. I've cried about every day taking the pill this month and could not wait to just finish the pack. I did not gain any weight being on the pill, but I believe that's because I'm consistent in the gym. But I did notice the way my body stored fat changed slightly."

For Birth Control "The Blisovi Fe 1/20 pill is absolute garbage. In the first few days of taking it, I've already gained 4 pounds. I have headaches every night so far and feeling super sick to the point of wanting to throw up. In the evenings, my mood swings have been ridiculous! My PMS weeks are usually bad and, like, this is my first week on this pack, and it feels like I am going through PMS. I suggest switching. I'm already done with this pill after I finish this pack. Thanks for the unnecessary anxiety, depression, and weight gain. No thanks."

For Birth Control "Awful, I used to be on Sronyx and then Levonorgestrel for a while when my gyno switched me to Blisovi (saying it would make my period more regular and shorter). It's been the worst birth control experience I've had in the 6 or 7 years I've been on birth control. It didn't really have any effect on my acne (I did notice more red spots though), but it affected my weight and emotions like CRAZY. I've been on it for 6 months with no improvement (if anything, the symptoms are getting worse). No dietary or exercise changes, and yet I keep gaining weight and getting stretch marks. I find myself constantly crying at nothing, and I've noticed circulatory changes too. I've always had bad circulation, but on this pill, I find myself with more bruises than ever before. It also made my period all out of whack. I would miss a period, have random outbursts of spotting, and, to make matters worse, I was still cramping badly. Do not recommend, but it may work for the right people."

"I suffer from heavy bleeding that has required multiple iron infusions for anemia. My doctor suggested a birth control pill to help. I was prescribed LoLoestrin, which was good at first, I had clear skin and two-day periods. However, after a while, I started having breakthrough bleeding, felt angry, and had a heavy clot. I was switched to Blisovi Fe 1/20, which I found worse. From the first dose, I had a 12-day period. After two weeks my mood changed, I was crying all the time and had panic attacks and severe anxiety. It has left me feeling depressed and has affected my sex drive. I will be stopping this medication."

For Birth Control "I never write reviews, but for the last 4 months since I’ve gotten off, I’ve had the worst acne. I’ve NEVER even had a pimple in my entire life, and getting off was (I thought a great decision) horrible. I had mood swings like crazy. The acne around my jawline and mouth looks terrible. I’ve tried everything to get rid of it. My emotions around my cycle were all over the place. Uncontrollable, actually. I hate what (this) birth control did to my body."

For Birth Control "If you have anxiety/depression, do not take Blisovi Fe 1/20!!! Seriously, I went into horrible mood swings and would constantly be at a low or a high. Irritability was so bad I couldn't be around anyone without going off on them. The boob soreness was constant, and it made me have large amounts of acne. I also found an increased appetite on this and gained a total of 20 pounds! I just recently switched, and my mood has gone back to how I was before.... it's absolutely insane what this did to me. Please take this into consideration as I don't wish this on anyone. Absolutely the worst 6 months. I thought I lost my mind."

"I took Blisovi Fe 1/20 for 3 months, and I recently decided to stop taking it. Within a month and a half after starting it, I ended up with a UTI (which I've never had before in my life). Then, 2 yeast infections, vaginal irritation that never seems to go away, plus sore breasts that burned in the nipples too, depression and mood swings (I'd be angry, then cry for no reason), plus decreased sex drive, weight gain, headaches, spotting between menstrual cycles, and heavy bleeding during it. I just can't take this pill anymore. I'd rather have ovarian cysts (which is what it was prescribed to help me with)."

For Birth Control "I had a horrible time on this pill. I switched from Lo Loestrin to Blisovi because although I had almost no side effects otherwise on the Lo Loestrin, I kept spotting. I was only on Blisovi for 2 and a half months before I stopped because I think I had just about every side effect. I immediately got a yeast infection upon starting it (maybe coincidental), however, I'm not prone to yeast infections. My emotional state was a mess, I would cry every day and for the stupidest reasons, but I couldn't control it. I was just overwhelmingly sad and extremely tired all of the time. I wanted to try and wait it out for 3 months, but my libido and lubrication were non-existent to the point where sex started to hurt, so that was my stopping point."

For Birth Control "I have been on a few different birth controls in the past. I started this specific brand of birth control a little over a month ago. I have not seen any negative side effects other than being emotional, however, I will add I lost my son in October, so it’s hard for me to tell whether or not it’s because I’m still grieving, the birth control, or a mixture of both. Overall, I’m happy with this brand of birth control because I’ve always gotten extremely nauseated or just plain crazy and anxious on different types."

For Birth Control "Taking this as prescribed from my doctor to help with PCOS. Instructions state to start on day one of the period or Sunday start. Because my period started after Sunday, I opted for day one start. Well, I’m into the reminder pills and still bleeding. Not spotting - bleeding, full-on, need a tampon bleeding. And I’m now starting to really feel the effects of the mood swings and almost depressive state. Anybody else have the constant bleeding?"

For Birth Control "It’s been a little over a month for me. I wanted to give it more time, but I have been extremely emotional. I feel like crying all the time for no reason, and I am overly sensitive. I struggle with depression and anxiety, and I was hoping it would have helped. I’ve also gained nearly 10 pounds in the month I’ve been on it (I’m 22 and run about 3 miles a day). I’ve had headaches every day, and I was super nauseous when I first started the pill (it went away after a week). I wish I could give this pill more time, but I’m feeling like things are getting worse than better. I went on the pill to help with my extremely bad PMS-ing (sadness), but I feel sad all the time now."

For Birth Control "This is the first birth control I've ever taken. I have had constant side effects of awful acne, cramping, irregular periods, crazy mood swings, and my breasts are constantly sore. I had perfectly clear skin before, and now I have patches of blackheads and whiteheads along my forehead, chin, corners of my mouth, and cheekbones. I have dragged this out for 4 months, hoping my issues would improve, but nothing has. My periods have continually gotten worse. Overall, the only thing this birth control has done is prevent pregnancy, but the benefits most certainly don't outweigh the benefits."

For Birth Control "This pill makes my boobs hurt. Before taking the pill, I never really struggled with acne... Maybe a pimple here and there from time to time, but since starting this pill, I've had constant, painful breakouts that begin under the skin and turn into white pus balls. They are usually around my chin, mouth, nose, and forehead. I have NEVER experienced anything like this. Also having mood swings and depression. I also struggled with nausea the first month but was able to fix that by taking the pill at night instead. I'm going to look for another pill that doesn't cause acne."

For Birth Control "Have been on Blisovi Fe 1/20 pill for 2-3 years. I had ups and downs on it, but mostly downs. Had very bad anxiety, mood swings, and low sex drive/libido. Now, most recently, I have been experiencing bad dryness, making sex more unpleasurable. It worked at preventing pregnancy, though."

"I've been taking this birth control for about 4 months now, but I already want to switch. My main reason for taking birth control was to help regulate my period and lessen the extreme PMS symptoms I get (acne, super painful cramps, mood swings, etc.). Although my period is now regulated, I still experience all the PMS symptoms I had before, and they feel worse. I have mood swings where I'm left crying in my bed for hours and acne that covers my forehead and cheeks every time I'm nearing my period. Although I can't speak on whether or not this works as birth control, I don't think this pill is worth it at all."

For Birth Control "I LOVE this birth control, but I also HATE it EXTREMELY. I've never had bad cramps with my period, and I have always had a light period. And once on this birth control, I only bled for two days out of my period. Keep in mind I've been on this birth control for twelve months. I loved it for the light period. BUT, I have incredibly crazy mood swings, ranging from crying to angry to confused to euphoric to confused and just lost. This birth control makes me tired when I sleep 8-10 hours a night. It's just given me a lack of energy, so, in a sense, depression and anxiety have all been heightened. It's ruined lots of relationships. I do not recommend it at all."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for about 4 months now. I haven't gotten my period for 2 months, and it has helped a lot with my cramps. But it has made me gain so much weight, I've gained around 12 pounds. I also have had terrible mood swings and anxiety. I'm really hoping the side effects get better, or I will be switching birth controls."

For Birth Control "At first, I was given Junel Fe, but then my insurance switched me to Blisovi Fe (not that I liked Junel Fe either). I developed an eczema rash and horrible mood swings on Junel Fe, as well as chronic headaches. Blisovi Fe came with the same bad mood swings and frequent headaches. My eczema rash went down slightly, but it's still present, so I will be switching medications as soon as possible. I understand that everyone reacts differently to birth control, but I did not have a good reaction to either brand for this hormone combo, so I will be trying a different hormone combination entirely."

For Birth Control "I’ve recently been on this birth control for about 6 1/2 months. The first three months were, of course, bleeding, or as the doctors would call it, breakthrough bleeding. About a month ago, I started having anxiety attacks, I never experienced having those attacks before. This oncoming week, I’ve had three panic attacks. I looked up the reviews for this birth control and come to find out the birth control is what’s causing my anxiety attacks. My chest was tightened up, my throat felt like it was closing up, and my mind would be racing from the time I woke up to the time I went to sleep. I also am overly emotional about any and everything. Please, I beg you, do more research on birth control before you just take them! If you are taking this specific birth control, please stop, it only gets worse!"

For Birth Control "I have PCOS and struggled with prolonged and heavy periods my entire life. I've taken this in the past but never consistently. Missed one day here and there, sometimes took it in the morning and night, which made my cycle go out of whack. About a year later, I decided to get back on it with a stricter mindset. I took my pill at 8:30 pm every night. This time around, I noticed a difference! My period was a lot lighter with fewer days. I didn't gain weight or experience an acne problem. However, I noticed my mood has been unlike me, and I didn't correlate it to the pill until I started reading the reviews. The last 3 months, I have been extremely emotional and anxious and cried without any reason. Now knowing it's because of the pill, I can now pinpoint the problem and stop blaming myself. You got to weigh the good and bad. I would recommend this because, again, it did what I needed it to do the most - regulate my cycles."

For Birth Control "I started this a while back (over a year ago) to help regulate my periods because they were all over the place! It helped so much, so my doctor told me when my periods were regulated, I could stop taking the pill, but the second I stopped, my periods got wack again. I just got back on it about two months ago, and my periods are normal again. It does take a little time for it to regulate, though, so don't give up after the first month! I was super nervous because everyone talks about weight gain, mood swings, etc. But honestly, I lost weight (possibly because I ate cleaner due to the fact I was scared to gain weight because of my birth control). But still, I did lose weight, and I only had a little bit of mild mood swings at the beginning."

For Birth Control "This birth control is terrible!!! It was a little weird when I first got on it considering I bled so much, and when it came around to my brown pills, I wouldn’t. But after about three months, I stopped bleeding completely. Spotting maybe once a month and very, very light, not enough to even use a tampon. Crazy mood swings, messed with my appetite, and my body just didn’t feel right. Taking this birth control has helped me with the one thing it’s supposed to, and that’s not getting pregnant. Everything else it has done has been crazy... don’t recommend it."

For Birth Control "I've been on it for almost 6 months now and hate it! Absolutely lowered my sex drive, and sex was painful because of vaginal dryness. The first three months, I'd have CRAZY mood swings but leveled out, and my breast size definitely increased. It did help with cramps and period pain, but it had such an impact on my sex drive I cannot stand it. Switching soon!"
