For Birth Control "Don’t take this. Please don’t get on this BC. For the first few months on it, I was fine, but after two years on it, all I can say is that I'm completely done. Mood swings, extreme anxiety (especially around when my period is supposed to start), depression, and so on. I could go on for hours about the horrible side effects of this BC. I have truly not felt like myself. Aside from the horrible mental effects, I have ZERO sex drive and random cramps and bleeding. Every time I am sexually active, I somehow convince myself that I am pregnant, which is really just from the anxiety this drug has given me. DO NOT TAKE THIS!!"

For Birth Control "This is the absolute worst. I was on Gildess Fe 1/20 before it was recalled, and I loved it. The only issue I had with that one was that I had loss of appetite. Blisovi Fe 1/20, on the other hand, is absolutely terrible. I have had the worst emotional outbursts, super angry all the time, bouts of depression (where I don't even get out of bed), and even now, after 10 months of it, my periods are so messed up, it's insane. The average duration is 10 days, incredibly heavy and incredibly painful. I've always had regular 5-day periods with light cramping and moderate flow, and now it's all over the place. I usually have 2 a month, which is irritating, and I can't wait to switch it. DON'T GET IT. IT'S TERRIBLE."

"I started this birth control, Blisovi Fe 1/20, to control or minimize severe PMS symptoms (pelvic pain, cramping, bladder pain, irregular bleeding, irritability, strong fatigue). Upon starting the pill after switching from another BC, I had brown spotting. This lasted a week and developed into heavier bleeding and clotting, especially at night. I bled for the entire 3 weeks of the pill pack, and it got progressively heavier. Also had bloating, cramping, irritability, terrible anxiety, mood swings, weight gain, fatigue, probably from all the bleeding. I had a full-blown panic attack in a situation where I would have typically been able to regulate my emotions. I stopped taking the pill after pack 1, and the next day I stopped bleeding. This definitely did not work for me."

For Birth Control "I started taking Blisovi Fe 1/20 when my insurance switched it from Larin FE. I bled on and off the first pack, which wasn’t too bad, but then started getting terrible cramps every day, throughout the whole day. My anxiety and depression (which I was already diagnosed with but never was this bad) kept getting worse and worse. I couldn’t take it anymore, so I stopped birth control completely for a month. My symptoms went away completely."

For Birth Control "This is horrible. I started this birth control early July. Now a day into the placebo pills, I felt terrible, and it took me a little while to realize it was from the birth control. First, it made my cycle a week late, so I was stressed about being pregnant. Once the cycle came, it lasted past 7 days, which is extremely alarming. Second, when I did have my cycle, I had cramps all of the days I bled, which is also not normal at all for me. I also was very depressed and anxious all the time. This is not my first time being on birth control, when I was 18, I was on Levora, and it was great. I had 0 cramps, my cycle lasted 3 days, and it made my skin very nice. I will never use this birth control again."

For Birth Control "I could not wait to get off of it. 2 months and that was it. Worst side effect was diarrhea and cramping-to the point I was having 6-7 bowel movements per day. I went to my PCP doctor to be tested for celiac and try to figure out what was happening-we narrowed it down to this pill. As soon as I stopped taking it and had my period, my issues resolved. I also swelled with water retention and carried an extra 2-3 pounds while on it, which went away after stopping the medication. I don't have those issues with Lo Loestrin."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL!!!! My doctor gave me this for hormonal acne and heavy cramps. On my third week of taking this (the week right before my period when I normally break out), I had THE WORST BREAKOUTS of my life. It is like I woke up with a full face of cystic acne. Within two days, I went from a few to literally 26 pimples. 26! It hurt to smile, and I didn't leave the house for a whole week because I was so embarrassed. If that wasn't enough, I was so depressed while on this I was crying uncontrollably at least once daily, and when my period came, it was the most painful and heavy period I've EVER had. Seems like it did the literal opposite of what I started it for. Very disappointed. I wish I would have done my own research on this pill before ever starting, as literally every review I've found is bad. If you're thinking of taking this, please do your research!!"

For Birth Control "I am just putting the pieces together today thanks to all your reviews. I was switched to this from Lo Loestrin Fe 1/20 as a generic. I don't remember having problems before, but for 2 months I've had discolored discharge, now breakthrough bleeding and mild cramps. I haven't had any period or bleeding for years. I was on Microgestin, and hopefully, my doctor will let me go back on that. This medicine, though, is NOT the same as Lo Loestrin Fe 1/20. Not even close."

For Birth Control "This birth control, Blisovi Fe, is amazing. Don't just listen to the negative reviews. Every female's body will react differently to dosages of hormones, so remember that. Sometimes you will have to try two, three, four...maybe even more than that to find the right one. It took me five different pills to find the right one for my body. My periods pretty much stopped with Blisovi since I skip the placebo. I have no side effects aside from some cramping and bloating around the time I should get my period, but that's just mother nature. Keep an open mind and give this a shot."

For Birth Control "This was the worst experience of my life. If you are thinking about using this pill, I highly recommend that you switch to a different brand and don’t use it at all. I was on this pill for about 6 months, and I have gained so much weight. I have always been pretty skinny, but now I’m finding it hard to fit into my old clothes, and I am also bloated 24/7. On top of getting fat, I got my period for two weeks each month, and I still got bad cramps, which was one reason I started using the pill. Another reason I started using this pill was for my skin, and after starting, my skin only got worse. I am so relieved to be off this pill and to never have to use it again. Worst experience ever."

For Birth Control "Works as a pregnancy preventive, but wow, do the side effects suck. Constant pain in ovaries and abdomen, sharp cramps at random times in my cycle, nauseated, bloated, couldn't wear my contacts for a month straight due to eye irritation, chest pains, so, so, so moody and emotional for no reason. I was originally taking Gildess, and my pharmacy switched me in September 2016 to Blisovi Fe 1/20. I was fine in the first couple of months taking it, just nauseous here and there and occasional headaches, it was a good start. Then month 4-5 hit, and side effects got even worse. I would not recommend this pill unless you can deal with the side effects. I experienced every side effect mentioned on the prescription within 6 months on this pill."

For Birth Control "I just started 2 months ago. I'm entering my 3rd month today, but I can say that it's going okay so far, considering that I have tried other birth control, and they were awful. But so far, my two periods have been light, between 2-3 days, light cramping, so that's a plus. I also feel more tired, been sleeping extra hours, but the birth control seems to be working. I'm going to keep trying it and see how it keeps working. And about acne, before I started this birth control, I had blackheads, whiteheads, and I would get a few pimples. It hasn't changed much. Some days I notice my face looks cleaner with less acne than others, but I never really have had a lot of acne."

For Birth Control "Awful, I used to be on Sronyx and then Levonorgestrel for a while when my gyno switched me to Blisovi (saying it would make my period more regular and shorter). It's been the worst birth control experience I've had in the 6 or 7 years I've been on birth control. It didn't really have any effect on my acne (I did notice more red spots though), but it affected my weight and emotions like CRAZY. I've been on it for 6 months with no improvement (if anything, the symptoms are getting worse). No dietary or exercise changes, and yet I keep gaining weight and getting stretch marks. I find myself constantly crying at nothing, and I've noticed circulatory changes too. I've always had bad circulation, but on this pill, I find myself with more bruises than ever before. It also made my period all out of whack. I would miss a period, have random outbursts of spotting, and, to make matters worse, I was still cramping badly. Do not recommend, but it may work for the right people."

For Birth Control "My experience on this for my first period the first month was terrible because the cramps were killer. The week before my period, I was spotting, which has never happened before. The second time, it wasn't as bad, my period lasted 3-4 days, it was light and not as painful, only mild backaches. The only thing I really can say is constant for me personally was and still is my breasts are incredibly tender. I take my pill at 8 every night, although my side effects are only mild, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I was on Microgestin, and if my breast tenderness continues, I might have to request to switch back."

For Birth Control "I have bad fibromyalgia, and periods cause flare-ups to the point I cannot function—so my doc told me to take the first 3 weeks of each pack and switch to a new pack (no sugar pills) so I won’t have any periods! So far, I have no headaches, no cramping, cravings, or acne! I might be a tad more irritated, but it’s not like other BCs I’ve tried where it’s full-on rage! I also suffer from anxiety and depression, but with Blisovi, I feel confident and secure in myself! A little bit of sore breasts, but it’s so nice to have my hormones feel balanced and at ease for once! I’ve tried Tri-Lo Sprintec, Lo Loestrin, and a few other low-dose ones this year, and those side effects were just too strange to continue (like nausea and abdominal pain)! I’m very pleased thus far with Blisovi! And here I was about to give up on trying anymore due to months of trial and error."

For Birth Control "I do not recommend this birth control. I was previously on Microgestin for years with no issues. Since switching to Blisovi due to a change of insurance, I have experienced irregular periods, constant spotting, cramping, bloating, and increased anxiety. I currently have no sex drive with this constant spotting and cramping. I no longer have insurance, otherwise, I would have immediately requested to be changed to another birth control. I have taken this BC regularly for two months, hoping this was just an adjustment, but I can no longer deal with these symptoms."

For Birth Control "I started with Loestrin, then the pharmacy kept changing, and eventually, they gave me this. At first, it seemed okay. I had lost a lot of weight before I started taking this pill, and before I knew it, I became twice my size. My boobs doubled, if not tripled. I was moody all the time and depressed. My period became longer than normal: 5 to 6 heavy days as opposed to 3 normal with light drops on day 4. I was bleeding heavily for at least 5 days and started feeling cramps, even pains in between were like my period was coming early. I have stopped taking it for about a month now. I am planning a 2-month cleanse, then back to Jumel Fe. Hopefully, it can be controlled, but please stay away from this, and I hope it is discontinued."

For Birth Control "I'm on my second month of taking Blisovi, and so far, it's going good. I'm 20, almost 21 years old, and this is my first birth control pill. Before taking Blisovi, I would break out all the time, and now I have no zits or nothing! And before taking this, my periods would be really heavy, and I would get really bad cramps. Now my period is actually lighter, but it also makes my period last around 7-8 days, so that's a downside. Another downside I have with this pill was that it made me gain almost 15 pounds. I eat healthy, with the occasional chips every now and then, but wow, you can tell that I've gained weight. But other than those few cons, this pill has been working good for me."

For Birth Control "I was sent Blisovi from a company who “fits you with the right birth control.” I started taking it, and I had a second period the week right after my normal period. The cramps I had were so unbearable I went to the hospital thinking I might be having a miscarriage because it was that bad. Needless to say, I do not recommend this stuff to anyone. It is honestly the worst experience I have ever had with any birth control."

For Birth Control "Let me start off saying that this birth control is the worst. I have been taking it for a year now, and I have never felt worse. The first four months were okay, I didn't notice any bad side effects except for minor cramps every day. After about five months, it started to get worse. I have gained 15 pounds, and it's extremely noticeable. All I crave is junk food. I'm way more irritable, and all the time. The week before my period is horrible. I often get bad PMS before my period, but the pill amplified it. It's even affected my sex drive, which is now non-existent. The pill works for pregnancy prevention, but I would not recommend taking it."

For Birth Control "This is the first birth control I've ever taken. I have had constant side effects of awful acne, cramping, irregular periods, crazy mood swings, and my breasts are constantly sore. I had perfectly clear skin before, and now I have patches of blackheads and whiteheads along my forehead, chin, corners of my mouth, and cheekbones. I have dragged this out for 4 months, hoping my issues would improve, but nothing has. My periods have continually gotten worse. Overall, the only thing this birth control has done is prevent pregnancy, but the benefits most certainly don't outweigh the benefits."

For Birth Control "I’ve only been on this BC for 1 month, and I can’t stand it. I switched from Lo Loestrin Fe because I had a prolonged period, and my doctor and I were concerned my body had changed and needed a different dosage of estrogen. Well, I bled for 7 straight days on this BC, and it was all heavy. My cramps were out of this world for 3 of the 7 days. And looking back, I have felt anxious and emotionally dull all month. I started taking BC because I have PMDD, and it helps regulate it, but this pill gives me all the symptoms I was having with PMDD, which makes it useless to me. I’d rather take my chances with Lo Loestrin than endure another month on this pill."

For Birth Control "I was taking both Junel Fe and Microgestin Fe, depending on which pharmacy I was closest to, for over a year. I never had any problems with them. In fact, they made my skin clear and made my periods extremely light and less painful. When my insurance changed my pharmacy, I was given Blisovi Fe. Off the bat, I noticed changes I didn’t like. I was feeling anxious all the time for no apparent reason. My skin was breaking out. I began feeling really depressed and getting bad headaches. I also have nightmares almost every night now, which may or may not be caused by Blisovi. My placebo week period was heavy and painful. There have been no substantial changes in my lifestyle or product choices that would explain these changes. They all began when I started Blisovi. It’s the only explanation that makes sense, since I take no other meds and, as stated, have not undergone any lifestyle changes. I gave Blisovi a 2-month trial, and it didn’t work out. At least I didn’t get pregnant on it."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Blisovi for 6 months and have had a great experience with the birth control so far. Luckily, I don't have any negative symptoms such as acne, depression, or mood swings. Some symptoms I've experienced are shorter periods with less cramping, larger breasts, and about a 5-pound weight gain (which isn't something to view as negative). My only personal thought or advice is to make sure you are treating your body like a queen... so eat healthy, exercise, and don't misuse the birth control."
