For Birth Control "The moment I started taking this pill, my experience was awful. I have now been on it for almost 4 months and would have extreme headaches, cramps, and very heavy and long periods. Now, I'm getting spells of terrible anxiety and depression, upper abdominal pain, nausea, and can barely keep my contacts on my eyes. I've never had these problems before and am now trying to detox this god-awful pill from my body. I never had this issue with other pills, but this is personally the worst."

For Birth Control "I just wanted to share my experience with this BC. I had never taken any kind of BC before and wanted to try birth control badly to lighten my periods (they are really heavy and irregular - always late, different durations, etc.) because of my constant feelings of stress/anxiety. I also wanted something to help with the hormonal acne and breakouts I get around this time. (Yay..) So the gynecologist prescribed this to me and got me all excited, saying it will shorten my period and in 6 months of taking it, it will make my period go away, and she also said my skin would clear up too. Well, I took it for 3.5 weeks hoping for things to get better but instead, I had TWO weeks of everyday extreme cramps (horrible and hurt really bad) and spotting."

For Birth Control "I was very nervous to try this pill after reading the negative comments. After speaking to my pharmacist, he suggested I try it because “each person has a different experience.” Here is my honest opinion, I hope it helps, and I hope you have the same outcome as I. I have been on this pill for 7 months now. In the first two months, I did get a few more pimples. I cranked up my water intake, and that took care of that. No problems since then. Cramping is minimal on the day before I start and the day of my first day. I started this pill because I had menstrual migraines. It has helped tremendously. It takes a few months for your body to adjust, it did for me. I am pleased. However, I have gained about five or so pounds. That could be from the pill or from my lack of attention to detail when it comes to my food intake. Make sure to incorporate exercise into your daily routine. It’s good for you anyways. I’ve adjusted the mg on this pill once."

For Birth Control "I started Blisovi Fe 1/20 about 2 1/2 months ago and so far it's... okay? They say to give birth control about 3-4 months so your body can adjust to the hormones, that's what I'm doing. So far, my breasts have been super tender, and I have the occasional period cramps when I'm not even on my period. I don't break out or have any mood swings, but I feel nauseated from time to time. Periods are light and last maybe three days, which is nice, but they seem to come on every three weeks instead of four. I can definitely feel the side effects of taking these pills, so if you don't want side effects, maybe try something else."

For Birth Control "I have mixed emotions about this pill. I have been reading reviews and agree with most opinions on it; it sucks and should be avoided. I had been on Lomedia 24 for over two years and loved it; prevented pregnancy, perfect scheduled periods, no PMS-ing, and no acne. My doctor switched me to this one about 7 months ago (now apparently for insurance reasons, like everyone else), and I have been waiting for my body to adjust to it. The first couple of months were good, just slightly heavier periods. Now my periods are extremely irregular, which of course makes me anxious; not getting a period instantly gives me fear that I am pregnant. I use dual protection every time. My acne has gotten worse, around my chin and mouth. I have been PMS-ing the worst I have ever had in my life, and I did notice cramps and back pain recently. Light spotting during my placebo pills. I don’t know how to feel about this pill, but I am hoping to adjust to it. I did lose my appetite for a couple of months."

For Birth Control "I was put on this birth control to regulate my periods that were coming every two weeks. I started it on the Sunday following the start of my period that began the day before. During the first pack, I did notice a constant slight headache, and I started my period the Thursday of my 3rd week of active pills. Due to already having had a period, I chose not to force a withdrawal bleed on the inactive week and just started straight into a new pack of pills. I felt like I was about to start (bloating, backache, cramps) starting on the Friday of my third week, but only had a little brown spotting, so this month I decided to take the inactive pills and force the withdrawal bleed in hopes of helping stop the spotting. It is now Friday of inactive pills of the second month, and I had spotting until Tuesday and nothing since then. The period symptoms were much milder than normal and no actual bleeding, but I feel as if that was it, and I will be back on active pills starting Sunday. No weight gain."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this birth control for a month now, and I’ve been having hot flashes and bad headaches that will not go away. It made me cramp badly when I first started taking them! I honestly feel like it’s time for me to stop them."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control on Jan 3, 2018, and had my first period in nearly eight months since being off Depo-Provera. The Depo shot was not my friend; it did stop my period for the first two months but then gave me spotting for 3-5 weeks around the time I was to get a new injection. I had been off BC until I started Blisovi. I was happy to see my first period in so long. I tend to have particular moods per period: increased libido, chocolate is life, emotions only, etc. My usual flow is day one: starter, medium; day two into half of day three: heavy; day three into day four: medium, drying up; day five: spotting. But on this period in April, I have been heavy all the way through day four. I had major dizzy spells and cramping for bowel movements. I've made several small ones through the day and have lost my appetite. I'm thinking this one period had just gone rogue and looking forward to more usual circumstances next period."

For Birth Control "This is the first birth control I was prescribed. For the first month, I was spotting every day. That should have been the first sign that this pill was not compatible with my body. My periods were irregular for months 1-3, they wouldn't come exactly during the placebo week and weren't any lighter than my normal periods when I wasn't on the pill. During month 4, I thought I was pregnant because my boobs hurt so much, and I was cramping and nauseous. This happened for a few weeks, and I was relieved when I later had negative results for pregnancy tests and got my period. But looking back on it, that was very abnormal and probably another indicator of incompatibility. Currently, my skin is acting up, and I'm cramping. So I'm switching pills. The pros are that, as a contraceptive, it did its job, and my boobs grew a little bit. Not a whole cup size, but a noticeable difference. I don't think it noticeably affected my mental health, and I didn't gain a significant amount of weight."

For Birth Control "I was on this for 3 months to see if my cyst would shrink and cramping be less. My first pack, I stopped midway. My body was feeling weird, my hands had a sensation that I would try to shake off, my feet would have a pinching feeling. But when I called the Dr., she said that my body wasn't used to something like this, just to continue the 3 packs, so I did. And it was still the same but manageable. No other symptoms, so I continued. Everyone's body is different, you won't know if it's right for you unless you try."

For Birth Control "I am about two months into starting BC for the first time, and I couldn’t be happier. My periods used to be 4 days of excruciating cramps, hot flashes, and extreme mood swings. I absolutely love this. I have no period now (just some light spotting) around the time I would get my period. I have gained about 5 pounds, but that isn’t an issue for me. My breasts did get larger, but I will take a few negative side effects over my extreme periods. My mood is way better, and I don’t have any pain anymore!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Blisovi Fe 1/20 for about 2 years now. I am 19 and weigh 130 lbs. At first, the pills made my periods heavier and really inconsistent. I started having cramps and breast tenderness for the first time when I was on my scheduled period. After about 4 months, my period became regular and normal flow. Today, I occasionally have little cramping here and there (depends on what I eat). The pills made my acne clear up, and now I have a very light period (with little cramping if I eat fast food). My weight or moods did not change."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill since I was 15. I’m 18 now. I love the pill. I don’t really have problems with it till it’s my time of the month, around that time I don’t have a period whatsoever. I do cramp and bloat but no period. I will say, however, I am an emotional wreck when it comes to this time of the month. I have severe aggravation, I’m overly emotional, and extremely tired. I wouldn’t recommend this birth control if you get scared about missing a period and freak out about that type of stuff because I’ve had very few periods in the 3 years I’ve been on it, but overall, besides when it’s that time of the month, I’m perfectly fine."

For Birth Control "My period has been longer and heavier. One time I missed, after that, it’s been a nightmare. No energy, mood swings. Really thinking about switching to something else. Positive side: no cramps, no breakouts."

For Birth Control "I took this medication for a little over a year. The first month, I was extremely nauseous and had terrible cramps, but they went away. It cleared my acne for a couple of months, but about 6 months in, I had cystic acne all around my mouth and forehead. I also found myself crying for no reason and was extremely moody...especially before and after my period. I would not recommend taking this. The only positive out of it was that it cleared my acne for a short period of time."

For Birth Control "I always had bad periods, but in September of last year, the cramps started to be like contractions, bringing me to my knees and taking my breath away because they hurt so bad. My friends told me probably cysts, so I got a vaginal ultrasound, and they said everything looked fine, but taking birth control would probably help. I read reviews for this birth control for hours and was scared to take it because of the reviews. I already struggle with depression and anxiety, however, this medication had no effect on my emotional well-being. It did, however, change my periods drastically. I only bleed lightly for a couple of days, maybe one time per period I might have to take ibuprofen for light to medium cramps, but other than that, it's been smooth sailing for me. I will say, though, my entire adult life I've weighed between 130-140 pounds. I started this birth control in December of 2020 when I was right at 140 pounds, and I am now 185 pounds."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Blisovi after taking another birth control pill because the pharmacy I go to no longer held it. I did notice that after taking Blisovi, the acne I did have before did come back after being cleared by the previous pills I was taking. I have also been told that I am just horrible to live with compared to before, and I noticed I do get agitated a lot easier than I normally would. The reason I started taking birth control was to regulate my periods, but I have missed a few periods and I get super paranoid. Aside from those negatives, I have lost my appetite for a lot of foods I usually crave (fried foods, sugars, and large amounts of red meat) so I have come to actually lose weight on Blisovi. I also no longer have to worry about getting cramps on my period, bloating, and my boobs no longer get sore. I basically lost all symptoms of my usual periods. When I do get my period they are usually 4 days long and tend to be light."

For Birth Control "I have had a great experience with Blisovi. The only negatives are tender breasts, occasional cramping, and I noticed some increased appetite. Other brands have ruined my mental state, but Blisovi didn’t cause anything that isn’t usual. No difference in sex drive and no noticeable weight gain."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Blisovi for a little over 2 years now, and in the beginning, it was great. I really didn’t have many side effects. I got on it for acne purposes, and it did a wonderful job clearing up my face within 3 months. However, the longer I’ve been taking it, the more I’ve been experiencing side effects. Some months around my period, I get very irritable or sad, and other months I’m perfectly fine. Some months I experience really bad cramps, not even just in my uterus, but up into my diaphragm and back. Just seems like every month it’s a new type of side effect. My sex drive was fine taking this until about recently, it’s decreased significantly. Overall, I’ve had more good experiences with this birth control than bad, but just make sure you are keeping track of side effects even once you have been taking it for a while!"

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS if you do proceed with caution! I never had any issues with acne, but this BC pill made me break out not only on my face but other body parts. I couldn't quite pinpoint what was making my face feel so itchy until I realized it was Blisovi. It also extended my period by 2 more days, gave me intense cramps, and increased my anxiety. These were just some of the side effects I've noticed after a few months until I stopped taking it. Previously, in the glory days, I was on Lo Loestrin to Microgestin without any issues."

For Birth Control "I started this pill in February of 2017. My insurance switched over to this brand, and I didn’t think it would be a problem. I’m constantly spotting and cramping. My moods are terrible. My sex drive is fine. But I made the decision to finally stop. I can’t take the spotting. I enjoy sex, and it’s not fun when you’re spotting all the time. I only have it a 2 because I didn’t get pregnant...that’s the only positive remark I have."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL!! I have been on this pill for 2 1/2 weeks because my pharmacy thought it necessary to send me the generic version of the already generic birth control pill my script was written for (Junel). I have gained weight, been bloated, broken out, had anxiety every day, had severe cramping and nausea. The bloating, cramping, and nausea started well before 10 days prior to the due date of my period. I have since called my dr and gotten him to correct the pharmacy's ridiculous requests and am going back on Junel, which IMO was great. I am currently 4 1/2 months pp and am using this as a form of birth control, so I do mind all these unnecessary side effects. Terrible medication."

For Birth Control "I went to my doctor for the purpose of skipping a period for my honeymoon. He put me on Blisovi Fe 1/20. I skipped the sugar pills as directed, and day one of the honeymoon period came. Today is day 8, still bleeding longer and cramping more than I ever do! I have never had this issue with any other pill! If you want longer periods, you should take this pill."
