For Birth Control "I just started this birth control about a month and a half ago. Now I have a history with anxiety and depression, and I will say the first couple of weeks I was having more and more not-so-good thoughts enter into my head, and it seemed to be a little harder for me to push them out. Also, my anxiety went up a little more than usual, I would find smaller tasks to be more of an issue. But now, a month and a half in, I don’t have as many of those thoughts and the anxiety went back to how it was before I started the pill, so that all eased up, which I’m happy about. I told myself to just stick it through. I just started spotting, but not enough to go, 'wow.' Everyone’s body is different, this is just my experience on this pill. I plan to go six months on this to see if there is any difference further down the road, but not too shabby."

For Birth Control "I have been on Blisovi Fe for about 5 months and had to get off of it because of the severe anxiety it caused. It started to feel like I lost control of my emotions and couldn’t help but be anxious and emotional all the time. Except for that, I had no other side effects on Blisovi, but I would highly caution anyone taking this birth control, as it seems many people face the same issue of anxiety on it."

For Birth Control "I was put on this prescription when my previous low-dose birth control was recalled. I have been on Blisovi Fe for about a year now. Some birth control makes my anxiety high, but I haven't noticed any major differences with this one. My periods are very light, which is nice. I hardly ever get cramps anymore (prior to birth control, my cramps and bleeding were severe to the point of blackout/vagal response). I haven't noticed any major weight gain, but I do work out regularly. Oh, and most importantly, I have not become pregnant. I had a few months with some between-period spotting, but that has stopped. I attributed that to being late taking pills by a few hours or more. Overall, I have been very satisfied with this medication."

For Birth Control "I started taking Blisovi Fe (5 mg) because my periods are heavy and so painful that I would miss school. Also, I recently had some bad acne, so I thought the pill would help that, but it was mostly for my periods. For maybe two weeks, I had a long period, which did end, but it was slightly alarming. I don't know if this matters, but I am 16 years old and I have slightly high testosterone. After a month of this BC, I experienced every symptom you can read! I've had depression and mood stuff previously, but I would classify it as normal teenage girl feelings. After a month of the pill, I feel like a totally different person. I'm very depressed, anxious, very irritable, easy to make me angry, I am sensitive to heat, it makes me nauseous, I have my own hot flashes, panic attacks, anger out of nowhere, constant hunger which led to weight gain. I have a good diet, and I exercise 4 days out of the week. The only pro is acne is gone, and no period or cramps at all! But emotionally, not worth it."

For Birth Control "I'm 32 and have never been on birth control but decided to give it a try because my periods have always been bad, and recently my ovulation has turned painful too. My gyno prescribed Blisovi Fe, and I started taking the pills the Sunday after my period started. Within 12 hours, I had horrible nausea and vomiting. Then came the anxiety, headache that wouldn't go away, fatigue, and constipation. I felt like I wanted to jump out of my own skin. It made me feel crazy. After 2 pills, I stopped, and now nearly 48 hours later, I still have a headache and horrible fatigue."

For Birth Control "I took Blisovi for six months after taking Aurovela 1/20, a different generic, for a year. I switched to Blisovi because I began getting acne from Aurovela. I did not see an improvement in my acne. In fact, it did continue to get worse at the same rate that it was going on Aurovela. Both Blisovi and Aurovela made me bloated semi-regularly. Around the 5-6 month mark on Blisovi, I began getting mood swings and feelings of insecurity that were anxiety-driven. I also felt this way on Aurovela occasionally."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control about 10 months ago, and I have not really experienced many side effects of the pill. The one side effect that is worth mentioning is that my boob size increased from a B to a D. I have had increased anxiety and stress since taking the pill, but I got put on it as a college freshman, so it is hard to say if the mental health issues are linked to the birth control or not."

For Birth Control "I started this pill about a month ago, and three weeks into it, I began experiencing some of the worst side effects I've ever had. I had a headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, blurred vision, fatigue, and extreme anxiety, which I have never had before at this excessive level. I called my doctor and then took myself to urgent care, they were talking about diagnoses from complicated migraine up to stroke. I will never take this again, I would definitely look into this pill very thoroughly before taking it."

For Birth Control "Blisovi Fe 1/20 is effective, so I didn’t get pregnant the year I’ve been on this, BUT I was a little scared when I got my period early the third month on it and then never got my period again for the rest of the year taking this pill. My gyno reassured me that this is completely okay, but when it was going on, I felt immense paranoia and anxiety for about two months and was convinced I was pregnant. I feel like some people blame all of their problems on their birth control, so I just want to say it was an okay experience, although I did also go through mood swings about six months in, and we thought I was bi-polar. I never really thought that my birth control contributed to this until my yearly appointment with my gyno, and he told me it was all normal and all side effects."

"Well, I have been using this birth control for a little over a year now, and it is not for me. I just switched over to the lowest dose about three days ago, still waiting to see major changes. So far, I don’t feel as anxious and nauseous as before, so that’s a plus. This birth control makes me feel super crazy, I have mood swings, hair loss, my skin breaks out every now and then, and my anxiety went through the roof. I’ve always had a background of anxiety/depression, but since I’ve been on this birth control, it was off the charts. Will update on the lower dose soon."

For Birth Control "I was on a previous birth control to control my periods, and I loved it. It was the lowest dose possible since it wasn’t for birth control. Apparently, it was discontinued, so they switched me to Blisovi, stating it was the same dose and ingredients. I did not notice a problem until the past year, and I’ve been on Blisovi for about 2. I thought I just got anxiety out of the blue until I did my research, and this caused me to have too many hormones for my body, which caused an imbalance, which caused anxiety. Every pack, within the middle mark, I would start to get nauseous and very sick, then it would be fine. But my hormones around that time were just so high it really messed with my head. I have been on birth control for about 7 years now, and I’m just going to stop it completely to see if my anxiety gets any better. I did not gain weight or get acne, but I did get anxiety."

For Birth Control "I had an unpleasant experience with Blisovi Fe. Within a few weeks of taking it, I had constant panic attacks, anxiety, and dizziness. It was like I was a completely different person. I felt so disoriented and like the world wasn’t real, which is what caused my panic attacks. Definitely don’t recommend for those with a history of any anxiety. It will amplify those feelings times 100. All those symptoms resolved when I stopped taking it."

For Birth Control "Had some nausea, mild anxiety, and breakthrough bleeding for the first 6 weeks, but now I’m doing well. No change to my libido, skin feels a bit clearer, no more bouts of nausea or anxiety. It takes a little while, but I’m fairly pleased with how things turned out. My previous experience with Daysee caused major lethargy, lack of libido, and breakouts, so this is much better!"

For Birth Control "I started Blisovi Fe 1/20 as my first birth control and was only on it for 10 days. At first I didn't think I had any side effects, but the more I thought about it the more I realized that the little things that were off about me had to be related to this birth control. I haven't been able to sleep very well; I keep having strange dreams that wake me up several times a night. I've been easily agitated and anxious. My stomach is constantly upset when I eat, but I don't really have much of an appetite. I've decided to stop taking this medication and will be requesting to be put on a different pill. I read these reviews before starting it and should have listened."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS if you do proceed with caution! I never had any issues with acne, but this BC pill made me break out not only on my face but other body parts. I couldn't quite pinpoint what was making my face feel so itchy until I realized it was Blisovi. It also extended my period by 2 more days, gave me intense cramps, and increased my anxiety. These were just some of the side effects I've noticed after a few months until I stopped taking it. Previously, in the glory days, I was on Lo Loestrin to Microgestin without any issues."

"Started taking this birth control about 14 months ago. (I requested Junel Fe, but my pharmacy did not carry it.) Off birth control, I get periods every 10 days! Along with that came extreme mood swings, bouts of energy one week and extremely low energy the next week, anxiety, terrible cystic acne on my chin, extremely high libido, and the annoyance of always being on my period. Since I began taking Blisovi, I haven't had a period at all, and my mood and energy are both stable. The acne calmed down a little, but I almost always have at least one huge cystic zit on my chin (versus having like 4 when I was off birth control-so better, but not great). Libido is a little decreased. Overall, my experience has been pretty good, especially for the price."

For Birth Control "Stay away from this birth control! I used to take Loestrin Fe, which was the perfect birth control, had little to no side effects. I had switched to Blisovi due to insurance, as soon as I started taking it, I felt depressed, anxious, and like I was living in a bubble. I couldn't do anything because all I wanted to do was throw up all the time, I barely could eat as well. I barely lasted a week, which consisted of me crying every day due to how it made me feel, and I decided to switch back to Loestrin and pay out of pocket. Stay away from this birth control!!!"

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL!! I have been on this pill for 2 1/2 weeks because my pharmacy thought it necessary to send me the generic version of the already generic birth control pill my script was written for (Junel). I have gained weight, been bloated, broken out, had anxiety every day, had severe cramping and nausea. The bloating, cramping, and nausea started well before 10 days prior to the due date of my period. I have since called my dr and gotten him to correct the pharmacy's ridiculous requests and am going back on Junel, which IMO was great. I am currently 4 1/2 months pp and am using this as a form of birth control, so I do mind all these unnecessary side effects. Terrible medication."

For Birth Control "This pill is the worst. My insurance switched me to this generic version, and by only a week in, I was miserable. Breast tenderness, extreme anxiety, moodiness, nausea, achy, fatigue. Do not take it!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill for almost a year now, and I enjoy it. I have had anything out of the ordinary happen to me. The only bad lingering side effects I have are anxiety and loss of appetite at times. My periods are significantly lighter and more tolerable. The only changes I’ve seen with my weight are loss, I haven’t gained anything."
