For Birth Control "I read the reviews for this pill first before I started officially taking it. My pharmacy stopped carrying the brand I used to take, and I was curious about what people thought of this pill. I was nervous once I read the comments but remember everyone's body is different. I did not have any major weight gain, I instead lost weight. My acne did get worse, but that was also the side effect of the topical cream I use for it as well. The only negative to this pill was my anxiety. I have diagnosed generalized anxiety disorder and I do not take medication for it. I have found my own ways to cope without medication. However, I noticed while on this pill my anxiety worsened extremely. Everyone is different, do not let these reviews discourage you."

For Birth Control "Strictly on this for heavy bleeding and unbearable cramps. Blisovi stopped my spotting between periods, significantly reduced my cramping (I still occasionally have to use my prescription Menfenamic Acid at the onset of the first slight cramp) and reduced the heaviness of my flow. I wish it completely stopped my pains, but there are still hints of the pains when I’m on the one week of iron pills. The bad side of this is it causes acne. Not horrific like my prior birth control (Trisnessa) but constant, and my face has yet to be completely clear since taking this. It’s the big pimples that get really sore and red but never form a head, and then when they die down they leave huge dark marks all over your face that are impossible to get rid of. IMPOSSIBLE. I just spent $230 on a facial and topical acne treatment, so I hope this helps. I’m staying on it for a couple more months and if the acne (jawline, neck, and cheeks) persists, I’ll be switching yet again."

For Birth Control "After reading these posts, I have had similar symptoms. I have had acne, but it's not the kind that is filled with pus, it's the hard ones that hurt and leave a scar even if you don't touch it. This pill, in the first week, makes me extremely nauseous and shaky. I don't eat much when on this pill, so I have been losing a lot of weight, which, to be honest, I'm slimming down in my waist and belly area. I don't even eat some days, which is extremely bad, so I just drink lots of water and juices. I have been eating snacks rather than a full meal. If I do, it's one big meal for the day (mostly dinner), and that's it. I haven't gotten pregnant yet. I take the pill every day at 7 a.m., so I should be okay, but I will come back and review."

For Birth Control "I was on birth control for years before having children. After #3, we decided we were done and began taking pills again, the one I was on before kids wasn't such a great match, so Blisovi is my second go-round. I have been on it for 5 months, and other than spotting the second week of the first pack, I haven't had a period, which is good and bad. I am always paranoid, so not having anything happen is a bit stressful for me. This one has also made me super tired (the week of inactive pills, I'm nowhere near as tired), the acne comes and goes, and I have gained about 10 lbs despite running. No mood changes or any other real complaints. Just switching because I need to have a period or something that resembles one to stay sane."

For Birth Control "I was very nervous to try this pill after reading the negative comments. After speaking to my pharmacist, he suggested I try it because “each person has a different experience.” Here is my honest opinion, I hope it helps, and I hope you have the same outcome as I. I have been on this pill for 7 months now. In the first two months, I did get a few more pimples. I cranked up my water intake, and that took care of that. No problems since then. Cramping is minimal on the day before I start and the day of my first day. I started this pill because I had menstrual migraines. It has helped tremendously. It takes a few months for your body to adjust, it did for me. I am pleased. However, I have gained about five or so pounds. That could be from the pill or from my lack of attention to detail when it comes to my food intake. Make sure to incorporate exercise into your daily routine. It’s good for you anyways. I’ve adjusted the mg on this pill once."

For Birth Control "I was switched to this generic at the beginning of the year by my insurance. I was on Generess (chewable) with no problems whatsoever. This pill has made me gain weight. I have stubborn acne in odd places (face, chest, even down there!) that won't go away or pop. My anxiety is through the roof. At least it makes my periods light and pain-free."

For Birth Control "I had a wonderful experience with Gildess, but Blisovi, on the other hand, gave me horrible, painful acne, breast tenderness that got progressively worse, dryness, trouble sleeping, and yeast infections. I tried both dosages with only worse symptoms towards the end on the lower dosage (what I tried last). Hopefully, this helps!"

For Birth Control "I have mixed emotions about this pill. I have been reading reviews and agree with most opinions on it; it sucks and should be avoided. I had been on Lomedia 24 for over two years and loved it; prevented pregnancy, perfect scheduled periods, no PMS-ing, and no acne. My doctor switched me to this one about 7 months ago (now apparently for insurance reasons, like everyone else), and I have been waiting for my body to adjust to it. The first couple of months were good, just slightly heavier periods. Now my periods are extremely irregular, which of course makes me anxious; not getting a period instantly gives me fear that I am pregnant. I use dual protection every time. My acne has gotten worse, around my chin and mouth. I have been PMS-ing the worst I have ever had in my life, and I did notice cramps and back pain recently. Light spotting during my placebo pills. I don’t know how to feel about this pill, but I am hoping to adjust to it. I did lose my appetite for a couple of months."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for over 4 years and have had a great experience. Periods are like clockwork and are much lighter than before being on the pill. I have missed a few occasionally, and the side effects are minimal. I did not gain any weight, I have actually lost weight since taking it (and stopped working out as much since taking it). I take it pretty regularly (within the same 30 minutes every day) and haven't gotten pregnant. It helped with my skin for a while, but I've recently gone through more breakouts, but I believe that is my own fault. Boobs grew a lot since being on it, which I like. Everyone is different, but don't be afraid to try this birth control!"

For Birth Control "I've been on Blisovi Fe for two months now. In my first month, I experienced a lot of spotting, like I wasn't on my period but would have to use a tampon for spotting. It lasted about three weeks and has gotten way better, but I still have random spotting at least once a week. I've also noticed a small amount of weight gain, mostly in my breasts, they've grown from a D to a DDD. But with my last birth control, I gained 20 pounds in my first month on it, so I can't complain in comparison to that. Now, in my second month, I'm experiencing more hormonal acne, but I'm assuming, like the spotting, it won't last and is just my body adjusting. I think all birth control sucks and has negative impacts on your body, but so far this isn't the worst."

For Birth Control "When I first got onto birth control, Blisovi was my first and it went great. It helped with my slight case of PCOS, made me lose weight, and cleared all of my acne. Then I got a new gyno, and she said they didn't have Blisovi anymore. I started Hailey Fe, and it made me gain weight, which was really annoying to deal with. I saw a new gyno, and after considering other birth control options, I chose Blisovi again. I started it about two weeks ago, and I have been crying every single day, and my acne has gotten worse. I am hoping this will clear up shortly, and I will be normal like I was before while taking Blisovi, but hormonal changes are no joke."

For Birth Control "I took Blisovi for six months after taking Aurovela 1/20, a different generic, for a year. I switched to Blisovi because I began getting acne from Aurovela. I did not see an improvement in my acne. In fact, it did continue to get worse at the same rate that it was going on Aurovela. Both Blisovi and Aurovela made me bloated semi-regularly. Around the 5-6 month mark on Blisovi, I began getting mood swings and feelings of insecurity that were anxiety-driven. I also felt this way on Aurovela occasionally."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Blisovi for at least two years now. I started taking it when I was about 19. It was wonderful at first, like it cleared my acne dramatically. No cramps ever. However, at one point the packaging changed, which I thought was weird, but whatever. Now I'm positive that this pill is giving me cystic acne because on the placebo weeks, my skin clears back up again. (22 now) Looking for another form of birth control ASAP."

For Birth Control "On week 3 on these pills due to my pharmacy giving me these instead of my Aurovela FE 1/20, and I already don't like it. I have now worse acne on my chin area that doesn't seem to go away, no matter how much acne treatment I put on it. And just last week, I was crying for no reason and seemed more moody. Aurovela FE 1/20 may not have been so great for others, but it was a calming pill for me, and I didn't get bad acne."

For Birth Control "At the beginning, it caused a lot of nausea. I would wake up in the middle of the night feeling awful. I'm about 6 months in now, and the nausea has almost disappeared. The only times it comes back are when I don't eat when taking the pill. I never get pimples or acne anymore, and my periods are tolerable. It's protected me really well from pregnancy so far and hope it stays that way!"

"Well, I have been using this birth control for a little over a year now, and it is not for me. I just switched over to the lowest dose about three days ago, still waiting to see major changes. So far, I don’t feel as anxious and nauseous as before, so that’s a plus. This birth control makes me feel super crazy, I have mood swings, hair loss, my skin breaks out every now and then, and my anxiety went through the roof. I’ve always had a background of anxiety/depression, but since I’ve been on this birth control, it was off the charts. Will update on the lower dose soon."

For Birth Control "My pharmacy randomly switched me from Junel Fe to Blisovi Fe, and I started breaking out super badly after 2-3 months on it, and it’s just now getting better after 7 months. I still notice breakouts way more often than when I was on Junel Fe. Other than that, there were no bad side effects for me."

For Birth Control "Had some nausea, mild anxiety, and breakthrough bleeding for the first 6 weeks, but now I’m doing well. No change to my libido, skin feels a bit clearer, no more bouts of nausea or anxiety. It takes a little while, but I’m fairly pleased with how things turned out. My previous experience with Daysee caused major lethargy, lack of libido, and breakouts, so this is much better!"

For Birth Control "Really really helps with my period cramps and didn’t really notice any side effects. When I went off of it after being on it for a year I got pretty bad side effects like acne, mood swings, and my cramps came back worse than ever."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Blisovi after taking another birth control pill because the pharmacy I go to no longer held it. I did notice that after taking Blisovi, the acne I did have before did come back after being cleared by the previous pills I was taking. I have also been told that I am just horrible to live with compared to before, and I noticed I do get agitated a lot easier than I normally would. The reason I started taking birth control was to regulate my periods, but I have missed a few periods and I get super paranoid. Aside from those negatives, I have lost my appetite for a lot of foods I usually crave (fried foods, sugars, and large amounts of red meat) so I have come to actually lose weight on Blisovi. I also no longer have to worry about getting cramps on my period, bloating, and my boobs no longer get sore. I basically lost all symptoms of my usual periods. When I do get my period they are usually 4 days long and tend to be light."

For Birth Control "I had a love-hate relationship with Blisovi Fe 1/20. Pros were it regulated my period and took away my horrible cramps and heavy period, I felt like I was freed from Mother Nature’s grasp. However, it made me break out like crazy (I don’t normally get acne), clogged my pores, and even my legs broke out in these weird red acne dots I had never seen before. I’m switching to TriNessa Lo after this."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS if you do proceed with caution! I never had any issues with acne, but this BC pill made me break out not only on my face but other body parts. I couldn't quite pinpoint what was making my face feel so itchy until I realized it was Blisovi. It also extended my period by 2 more days, gave me intense cramps, and increased my anxiety. These were just some of the side effects I've noticed after a few months until I stopped taking it. Previously, in the glory days, I was on Lo Loestrin to Microgestin without any issues."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 6 months now. I was scared at first because of the reviews but thought I would give it a try. My periods come when they aren't supposed to, and then have almost completely stopped (which freaks me out). I have horrible headaches that are just getting more frequent, and my acne has gotten worse. It's not a lot of acne, but it's frequent, in the same spot and cyst-like. Needless to say, it does its job, but not the right one for me."
