For Birth Control "I am so glad I looked on this website!! I'm glad I am not alone. Like many others, my insurance/pharmacy switched me from Microgestin (on for 2 years with no issues) to Junel (on for 3 years with no issues) and now to Blisovi (I've been on it for 3 months). I gained 10 lb in the first month with Blisovi. I work out and eat healthy and have been the same size since I was 18 (I am 29), and the weight is not coming off! In addition, acne has been uncontrollable and unpredictable. I have been bleeding more days than not since I've been using this pill (feels more like 3 weeks on, one week off), and I've been getting headaches and jitters. Stay away if you can!!!"

For Birth Control "So glad I finally went online to read reviews! I'm not the only one! I picked up this birth control to find that it had changed, but the sticker said it was the same medication? What a load of rubbish! I've seriously gained 5 or more pounds this week."

For Birth Control "I never write reviews for anything, but I felt like I needed to write a review for this, to help others make the decision to STOP taking this birth control (and BC in general). While on this BC, I experienced mood swings, anxiety, weight gain, migraines, dizziness, nausea, acne flare-ups, and I even fainted while on this and ended up in the ER. So I decided to stop taking this BC, and after stopping it (it's been 7 months off it now), I still don't have a regular cycle (I have not had my period in 2 months). I developed pill-induced PCOS. BC pills stop ovarian function, and the bleeding you get every month on BC is NOT a real menstrual cycle. BC stops ovulation, so when you come off the pill, your body sometimes takes a while to ovulate on its own again. I really hope this post was able to educate those who did not know how bad birth control is for your body. Please do yourself a favor and don't take this!"

For Birth Control "So I went to my OB-GYN back in September 2018 to get on birth control, as I had gotten a boyfriend and didn't want to get pregnant. I’ve been taking it ever since then, and I’ve gained at least 25 pounds! I also had never really noticed any anxiety or extreme mood swings until I started this BC! I freak out over little things, I have major anxiety attacks and crying outbursts, especially around or on my period. I have yet to go back to my OB-GYN to talk about it or change it. The only thing it’s done so far is keep me not pregnant. I still would not recommend."

For Birth Control "I started this pill 2 months ago after being on Lo Lestrin Fe for a year because I switched insurance. Definitely noticed weight gain (10 lbs in 2 months!!!) and breaking out in my T-zone area. I've never had acne besides the occasional pimple during my period. Just figured out this was the culprit after reading these reviews and putting it together. I plan on making an appointment with my doctor to discuss another option."

For Birth Control "I have been on this for three months now. I had headaches the first two weeks, but those went away. Made me break out at first, but cleared up after just over two months. I did notice mood swings which have progressively gotten worse, and I have said and done things that I would not normally say or do. However, it is manageable. My confidence has plummeted and I have gained 12 pounds. My appetite has definitely increased. I am very active and have always been lean and able to eat whatever I want, but even with dieting and rigorous exercise, I can’t seem to lose any of the weight I’ve gained. My experience hasn’t been terrible, and most of the adverse side effects are easy to live with (other than my insatiable appetite!). My skin is slightly clearer, but much larger, and periods are shorter and lighter, although PMS and cramping aren’t any better."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Blisovi to reduce my bleeding and also to shrink the size of the fibroid that's in my uterus. I've taken it 3 months now, and it hasn't done anything for me but make my periods last a lot longer (2 weeks) and also cause insomnia, restless legs, weight gain, foot pain, need I say more? Doctors, please stop prescribing it to patients and stop playing with their lives. Thank goodness today was the last day I took this drug, and believe me, it was like a poison to my body (in my opinion). No wonder it's free; it was completely paid for by my insurance. Do yourselves a favor and do not take this. I would rate it a “0” if it was an option."

For Birth Control "I have been on this medication for about a year. Previously, I was on BeYaz and Yaz (both of which have terrible reviews, but personally, I loved both). The Blisovi is free with my insurance and is why I switched. I am in the same boat with everyone else that has been taking this... not happy. I've experienced weight gain, tender boobs, and a super spotty period. No tampon needed, but maybe a light one every now and again. I just can't stand not knowing if I'm going to spot, and having to wear panty liners every day is really annoying. Long story short, I am stuck with this until I have new insurance or cough up a fee every month for Yaz again. Good luck, ladies."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control to prevent pregnancy and hopefully ease my monthly cramps. This was the first time I have gone on the pill, and I was very worried about hormones and side effects, but I was willing to try it out in sake of preventing pregnancy. My overall experience with this brand has been amazing! I have had no side effects and haven't gained weight. Any monthly PMS symptoms I used to suffer through are gone, my periods are lighter, and my skin has never looked clearer. For the most part, I've never had too many issues with acne, but I wouldn't consider my skin to be perfect by any means (a few pimples here and there on my face and body throughout the month), but ever since I started taking Blisovi, my skin has never looked clearer and fresher. Any acne on my body has also completely cleared! Although I'm rating this birth control a 10/10, I do want to give a fair warning that the first 2-3 days on the pill I did have a little bit of spotting."

For Birth Control "Been on this birth control for the last 6 months, and it has affected my life for the worse. I was okay the first two months (in fact, my boyfriend even checked in with me to see if I was having any bad effects, and I was consciously aware that I was not). But then it hit, and it hit BAD. Weight gain of 5 pounds in 2 months, despite daily exercise and healthy eating habits. Mood swings like no other - I found myself crying at work, in the car, before I went to bed. All the time. I thought something was wrong with me. And then I got awful back pain after 3 months in - so much that I even bought a new mattress thinking that was the problem. This pill has caused NOTHING but problems. Do not recommend; if your doctor prescribes it because it's covered by insurance, ASK FOR SOMETHING ELSE."
