For Birth Control "I previously used NuvaRing, which I loved, but had to stop taking. After 5 months of no birth control, I started using Blisovi. I bled for 3 weeks solid, then had 2 periods/month for the 1st 3 months. Just started my 6th month, and only have one very light period/month (don't need to use tampons). But I am going off of this, as my hormones get worse the longer I'm on it. I have still been experiencing PMS symptoms 2x/month, even if no bleeding mid-cycle. During my last cycle, I was completely crazy, and also started having daily headaches. I'm now in week two of the pack, on the verge of tears 24/7, crying over nothing, picking fights with my lovely boyfriend. I'm NOT myself. Also made me gain noticeable weight - breasts got bigger, but so did other areas."

For Birth Control "I do not recommend this at all! I switched off of Kelnor to Blisovi because I was having long, heavy periods. I would gladly take the periods back over this. Now I have horrible acne on my shoulders, back, and chin (which I've never had), constant breast pain, occasional random cramping, I bled the entire first month, and I never have any energy! In the months prior to Blisovi, I had worked so hard to lose around 10-12 lbs... 6 weeks into Blisovi and I've gained 8 lbs of it back. I never wake up feeling like myself. I would definitely recommend Kelnor or Gildess over this one."

For Birth Control "I just recently started taking Blisovi 24 Fe and am in the first month. I have already gained five pounds. These reviews were very helpful. I just thought I was getting fat. I work out and eat a good diet as well. I will be switching birth control thanks to these reviews."

For Birth Control "I was switched to this pill when Gildess Fe got recalled. I have gained weight and have noticed irritability and tiredness. I have repeatedly asked my pharmacy if they have Gildess back to no avail. I think I need to try something else, regardless, this pill is not working for me."

For Birth Control "I have been on this BC for a little less than a month, and I absolutely HATE it! I have gained 6 pounds for no reason, I have been spotting the entire time, I have broken out (I never get acne usually), and I am super irritable. I don’t recommend this BC at all, I will be requesting to change ASAP."

For Birth Control "I have never left a review on a medication, but I need other women to be warned! I was on this two months, and it was the WORST two months. I gained 13 pounds, my acne flared up like never before, I was constantly nauseous (throwing up almost every day), breakthrough bleeding if you are even 10 minutes late taking the pill, but the absolute worst side effect was how heightened my anxiety and depression became. Panic attacks almost every day, and they were so severe and worse than they have ever been. Crying LITERALLY all the time about everything. Did not have any desire to leave my house, and when I did, I was so anxious it wasn't even worth it. Even if you aren't sure how your body will react to this pill, I would NOT chance it."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS! This past year has been the worst year ever! All of a sudden, I have the craziest symptoms that don’t go away no matter what I do. Severe migraines all the time! I gained 10+ pounds! I have never had an issue with weight in my life. I work out 6 times a week, eat extremely healthy, and the scale is just going up! It’s affected my mental health so much because it makes you feel like you’re going crazy. I’m extremely tired no matter how much sleep I get. My anxiety has been out of control. I’m sad and tired. Irritable all the time for no reason. My stomach always hurts. My periods are so irregular, I won’t get a period for a couple of months, then I’ll spot and bleed randomly all the time. My vision has all of a sudden gotten bad? I’ve never had eye problems in my life. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to connect these symptoms to this birth control! STAY FAR AWAY!"

For Birth Control "I was on this birth control pill for 10-11 months. It caused me to have periods during week 2 of the pills, vaginal dryness, a lot of hair loss and breakage, really bad embarrassing acne, weight gain, bloating, constant infections, PMS symptoms, etc. I kept going to my OBGYN thinking I had cancer or something was broken. She told me to keep taking them. No way. I quit taking them 2 weeks ago, and I feel better already. I'm just afraid it might have done some fertility damage. Time to find a new OBGYN and stay off of birth control pills because the side effects aren't worth it! Just will track my ovulation and avoid sex on those days. It's sad OBGYNs tell you to stay on pills with all these negative side effects, they don't truly care."

For Birth Control "I have switched to this medication because they discontinued Micronor, which was perfect for me. When I started taking Blisovi, I had headaches, and any birth control for me never makes cramps go away except for Micronor. So I still had cramps. A little bit of weight gain. I was super emotional and moody. Regular 5- to 6-day periods. After taking these pills for about 4 months, the side effects got better. I barely get headaches. My period is lighter than it has ever been, 1 to 3 days. The only time I'm emotional is on my placebo week. And I am not pregnant. :) Overall, it's a tolerable pill."

For Birth Control "I don't leave comments on medicines, but this was the worst birth control I've been on, so I want to make others aware. I'm just finishing my second pack and have gained weight, got cystic acne, and have been more prone to anxiety attacks. I've had a lot of headaches and very irritable. I'm switching off this birth control after this week since I only have 3 pills left, and my doctor wants me to finish this pack before starting a new one. I highly advise not taking this medicine -- the side effects have been unbearable."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 9 days and have gained 5 lbs. I thought I was putting on weight because of the holidays, but it's definitely the pill. I've never suffered from acne, and I've been breaking out on the side of my face, which is the hormonal area. When picking up my birth control at a CVS, I wasn't aware of the change. I will be contacting my doctor and letting them know how upset I am with the changes and not being made aware. I will no longer be continuing this pill and do not advise anyone else to. After reviewing the reviews, everything everyone else is stating is exactly what's occurring to me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PILL!"

"I had been using Gildess for a year when the pharmacy gave me Blisovi as a replacement without any explanation. I only had a spotty period for the first month. The 2nd week of the 2nd month, I quickly started to retain water like I had never done before in my life! I gained 15 pounds in a week. Breast tenderness, swollen fingers and toes, with limited urination. I work out 6 days a week, and I could not work up a sweat even after 1 hour of cardio. My body was definitely in water retention mode. I called my doctor, who had not heard about the Gildess recall. I am grateful for finding this website and all of your posts here so that I didn't feel like I was going crazy! Can we contact the Pharma Co?"

For Birth Control "I have been taking Blisovi for almost 2 years now. This BC regulated my period, cleared up my acne, and stopped the cramps. However, I had bad nausea and headaches at the start, which the doctor told me would stop as I continued, so I kept taking it. Eventually, the nausea went away, but the headaches didn't. I had terrible backaches. I gained at least 40 lbs since starting. I'm in college, so it's hard to eat healthy/exercise when in school & working, but gaining this much weight this fast is not normal. I was already depressed because of school, but this BC made me mean/irritable, I have lost my motivation, and I feel like a different person. I just stopped taking this pill and switched to a hormonal IUD, so I'll see if anything changes. The negative side effects were too much to bear."

For Birth Control "I was switched to this medication because every year I tend to 'outgrow' a medication and get non-stop periods. But this one was by far the worst out of the 10 I've ever been on over the past 10 years. I got acne so severe that I had to go on Accutane, and at age 28, that's really embarrassing, and my face is still covered in scars. I never had acne before this medication. Also, the cramping all month never went away, constant spotting, etc. Mood swings, bloating, crazy weight gain. And anxiety and migraines like you couldn't believe. I wouldn't give this medication to my worst enemy."

For Birth Control "I started out with Microgestin originally, and when I moved, I had to switch pharmacies. In doing this, they told me I had to take a different generic because they didn't carry the same brands as my old pharmacy. At first, this was fine, I was on one brand I can't remember and then Gildess. These were fine until, 3 months ago, they switched me to Blisovi. This drug is a nightmare. I'm 5'2 and a freshman in college. I went from 115 to 140. 140!! On someone my height, it's very noticeable and embarrassing! Not only that, but my acne is the worst it's ever been my whole life. Do not take this 'generic.' Even if it's a milligram off, your body reacts, and this has really messed up my life. Praying I'll be able to work it off..."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 7 months. I started getting terrible forehead acne (which I've NEVER had before), a 20-pound weight gain (as someone who exercises 5x a week and hasn't had sugar in years), back pain, and anxiety. I had no anxiety before and have now had 4 terrible anxiety attacks on this pill. I didn't realize all these symptoms were because of the pill, but starting yesterday I stopped the pill. I would not recommend this to anyone."

For Birth Control "When I was 18, I got put on Lomedia 24, but after a year on it, I noticed I had a constant tired feeling. My doctor then switched me to Blisovi 24, which I've been on for over 2 years. I did notice some weight gain, but it was minimal and I (luckily) was able to get it off. I loved this brand, never had any spotting, and my periods were always very light and short, and I never had any babies. The only real downfall was the week before my period, without fail, I would have really bad anxiety and be extremely emotional - way more than I normally was on Lomedia. Other than that, I would highly recommend Blisovi 24."

For Birth Control "I'm on continuous BC, and my pharmacy switched me to this in mid-December after I had been on Microgestin for years. I've gained 15 lbs (I'm relatively active and had not changed my diet), have acne (I'm 49 and have never had an acne problem), I've had to deal with spotting off and on - sometimes almost two full weeks of heavy spotting - and some of the worst cramps I've ever had. This is the worst! I have a doctor's appointment this week and am hoping they'll change it. Otherwise, I'll be stopping this pill immediately and just deal with having a regular irregular period!"

For Birth Control "Unfortunately, this is the WORST OF THE WORST. I have struggled with severe menstrual cramps my whole life and was very apprehensive when I was switched from Junel to Blisovi. I was correct to be apprehensive. Blisovi increased my period cramps, caused daily nausea that sometimes led to vomiting, horrendous mood swings, and caused weight gain more rapid than ever before. I am currently trying to fix my body after the use of this and would like to warn all those who are potentially using it or thinking about using it. I am a young female who would like to warn other young females about the detrimental effects this pill has on someone both physically and mentally. 0/10. STEER CLEAR!"

For Birth Control "I recently posted a review on this pill 3 months ago when I first started and thought it was great. I was wrong! I had to update because I could not in good conscience let anyone think this pill is anything but terrible. My first month went great, no side effects at all. The second month, I noticed my stomach was not right. Turns out this pill destroys the good bacteria in your gut. Probiotics are a must! I noticed I started to gain a little weight and developed slight eczema on my face, which still comes and goes 2 months later. Beware of taking this pill."

For Birth Control "This is literally the worst birth control I've ever been on. What a nightmare. Just like other users, my insurance stopped covering Minastrin, which I was on for 9 years and worked wonderfully. I just don't believe this is the generic version. I haven't had a period in 5 months, gained 10 pounds, and libido is low. I have never written a review online, but feel so strongly about what an awful experience I've had that I hope others learn from it."

For Birth Control "I was on this pill for two months, and they were the worst two months of my life. I started feeling extremely bad about myself and depressed and moody. I became irritable and upset over the smallest things. I was eating less and less food and still gaining weight from it. I would not recommend taking this birth control."

For Birth Control "Take this pill, Blisovi 24 Fe, if you want to experience weight gain, acne, depression, unexplainable sadness, and essentially having two periods a month with the amount of spotting that it causes. Please don’t take this brand of birth control."

For Birth Control "I just started week 3 on this birth control, and I hate it! I have gained 5 lbs and can't stop eating; I am constantly hungry. Even when I know I'm full, I still want to eat. I feel tired and have very little energy. My mood is very blah, and I have no sex drive. I'm getting my tubes tied next week and cannot wait to be off birth control pills for good!"

For Birth Control "I switched from Lo Loestrin Fe to Blisovi 24 Fe about a year ago, and thank goodness I did. In the short time I was on Lo Loestrin Fe, I had mood swings, exhaustion, depression, and I just didn’t feel like myself. When I switched to Blisovi 24 Fe, all of those emotional problems went away, and I feel like myself again. Also, my periods are a ton lighter than before, I used to have about 6-day periods with heavy cramping, and now I have light periods with no cramping that only last about 2 days. I haven’t had any issues with acne. I have gained about 10 pounds in the year that I’ve been on the pill, so that would be my only complaint. Overall, I feel healthy on this BC."
