For Birth Control "I recently started taking Blisovi Fe 1.5/30, and my experience has been awful! I started taking it to regulate my periods. I have had minor headaches, lots of fatigue, and nausea. I was vomiting towards the end of finishing my first pack (horrible). I can't sleep at all, I find myself staying up until about 5 or 6 a.m. until I force myself to lay down and sleep because if not, I could stay up all night! I have abdominal pain sometimes, and I have lost my appetite, and trust me, I like to eat. I have been sick for a total of about 3 weeks and a day now, and things are starting to concern me. I know it says that irregular bleeding is normal, but being on your period for 2 weeks with semi-heavy bleeding? I don't think so...."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 3 months now after I was switched from Lomedia 24 Fe. The first week was a little rough. I felt nauseous and bad headaches, but that went away after a week. My period is 3 days, light cramping, and no noticeably different PMS symptoms. I was actually really scared to switch to this pill based on these reviews, but I am relieved to report that this pill reacts in the same way as my previous pill. My skin has actually gotten clearer as well! So far, I am pleased with this pill."

For Birth Control "Awful. I've been on birth control for 10 years, and I've never had a reaction like this. I was on Junel before they switched me to Blisovi. Ever since, I've been extremely moody/irritable, it made me feel anxious and lethargic. I can only describe it as feeling crazy. I can tell my reactions are irrational, but my emotions are getting the better of me (so much so that it's been straining my relationship). When I restarted the pack after my week off, I became nauseous and had headaches all day the first day taking it. I was scared to take it again the second day but thought my body would adjust. It's been three months, and if anything, the symptoms are getting worse. Wouldn't recommend to ANYONE."

For Birth Control "I started Blisovi because Junel Fe was recalled. I agree with the others about extreme breast soreness and nausea during the first few days. My first month was tolerable after I got beyond the first week. The second month got a little better, and I never experienced weight gain, acne, or mood swings (I don't think. Lol). The pharmacy then switched me to another generic of this form, named Noreth/ethin, because Blisovi was not available. I took that with the same side effects, and now I'm back on Blisovi. I'm not happy with all the sudden changes. I wish Junel Fe would come back. These are all not the same, even though they say they are. I get anxiety every time I go to the pharmacy now. I never know what I'm going to get."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill because I had irregular periods and was really tired and thought it was going to help me. After the third day of taking it, I started having nausea, vomiting, and headache. Then I started having very bad mood swings to the point that I would get mad at every single person around me. It gave me anxiety, depression, and every bad side effect you can think of. I will never take this pill again."

For Birth Control "Was okay the first two weeks on Blisovi 24, other than hardly being able to eat as I had zero appetite. The third week - I was losing my mind. The anxiety got so bad I couldn’t leave the house, which has NEVER been a problem for me. The nausea was so horrible, it kept me up all night. I’ve learned this medication is KNOWN for causing anxiety, and my doctor actually prescribed this to me knowing I have an anxiety disorder. I’d take the gushing periods from Cryselle over this garbage any day."

For Birth Control "I have the most severe nausea I have ever had in my life. It’s been so bad that I only feel somewhat okay when I am munching on something throughout the day. I have been experiencing anxiety/fast heartbeats, which I never had before. Random burping throughout the day. I feel faint at random times that I shouldn’t, random hot flashes when it is only 65 degrees in the room. I am only 30 years old and have never had such a completely horrible experience with medication before. This is worse than all 3 trimesters of pregnancy combined."

For Birth Control "I used to use Ortho Evra, which is a patch, and that worked great besides leaving a sticky residue on my skin. I then switched to Blisovi for insurance reasons. Big mistake. The second day on it, about 30 minutes after taking it, I was extremely nauseous. I had to leave work and vomited violently once I got home and slept until evening. Since then, the nausea comes and goes, and it's a terrible feeling. It also made me tired and lazy, along with a spike in my anxiety. I literally had an anxiety attack just trying to drive home. I haven't noticed weight gain yet, but I feel bloated and gross. I do not recommend this birth control."

For Birth Control "Blisovi 24 is the first and only birth control I've tried. I'm 3 months in and so far, so good. I experienced severe nausea the first day, but it quickly subsided within 24 hours. I had to wait 2 months for my PMS symptoms to improve, but boy did it. No more cramps, bloating, or nausea. In terms of acne, I had a pretty bad flare-up, particularly for the first month. Like 'no space on my face that didn't have a pimple' kind of flare-up. By 3 months, my skin is back to baseline and has a healthy glow to it. I'm hopeful that it'll help clear up my acne over time."

For Birth Control "I took this birth control back in April for 4 months. I didn’t have any horrible symptoms, and I got my period normally. Until I started feeling bloated and nauseous. That’s until my doctor told me I was pregnant. I had taken the pill EVERY day at the exact same time. This pill failed on me. I was happy I didn’t have horrible symptoms. However, since it failed me, I was very disappointed and upset. I honestly don’t recommend this pill for anyone trying to prevent pregnancy."

For Birth Control "I was put on this birth control about a month ago. I know everyone has different experiences, but here is mine: At first, I really liked the birth control and did not notice anything different. About a week in, my acne started becoming terrible, my breasts became sore to the touch, and I was nauseous before every meal. About two weeks later, my anxiety went downhill. Panic attacks every night, constant worrying, not wanting to go anywhere because of the fear. I have a diagnosed anxiety disorder. I’m not sure, but that might be why the birth control did not work for me. My anxiety has been terrible recently, and I hope it stops once I get off this pill. I do not suggest this pill if you suffer from anxiety/depression, etc. This pill may be amazing for some, but not for me. I also got heavy periods with cramps. The only good thing about this pill is that my breasts got bigger!!"

For Birth Control "This is my first month on this pill to control fibroids. The doctor prescribed this because the previous pills were giving me long and very painful periods and tons of bleeding. Well, last night I woke up with nausea, I got my period one week in advance, I'm having heavy bleeding and strange headaches. I will stop this pill immediately. Last month without any pills, I had a normal period. These pills are a mess."

For Birth Control "I never write reviews for anything, but I felt like I needed to write a review for this, to help others make the decision to STOP taking this birth control (and BC in general). While on this BC, I experienced mood swings, anxiety, weight gain, migraines, dizziness, nausea, acne flare-ups, and I even fainted while on this and ended up in the ER. So I decided to stop taking this BC, and after stopping it (it's been 7 months off it now), I still don't have a regular cycle (I have not had my period in 2 months). I developed pill-induced PCOS. BC pills stop ovarian function, and the bleeding you get every month on BC is NOT a real menstrual cycle. BC stops ovulation, so when you come off the pill, your body sometimes takes a while to ovulate on its own again. I really hope this post was able to educate those who did not know how bad birth control is for your body. Please do yourself a favor and don't take this!"

For Birth Control "I switched to this birth control after being on Lo Loestrin Fe for about 6 months because of insurance reasons. My period is extremely inconsistent on this birth control, whereas on Loestrin I would always get at least a light period. I like to get my period, so I know I’m not pregnant, but I only get it every couple of months now. Also, I will randomly spot bleed even if I haven’t missed my birth control, and I get very nauseous for weeks at a time. This nausea will go away for a couple of weeks and then come back. I have taken multiple pregnancy tests when I miss my period because of this and my symptoms, but it turns out it’s just from the birth control. This birth control isn’t horrible and doesn’t affect my mood, but physically it’s annoying."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this pill for about 2 months. It works great for preventing pregnancy. This is the only form of protection I use, and I haven't gotten pregnant, so that's nice. However, I have had some unfortunate side effects, including pretty intense nausea and headaches. My anxiety and depression worsened a lot. I would suggest that if you have a history of depression and/or anxiety, do not take this medication! However, if you're pretty mentally stable, I think it's a great option! It didn't make my periods heavy and constant like Nexplanon did."

For Birth Control "I started taking this birth control in June 2019 to help with my severe cramps and heavy periods. For the first few months, the only side effects I experienced were breast tenderness, and I was very emotional, but it was tolerable. It definitely helped with my periods. After 4 months of being on this pill, the side effects got way worse. For the last two months, my anxiety and depression spiked like crazy. I woke up in the middle of EVERY night with horrible anxiety and couldn’t fall back asleep. It got so bad to the point that I went to the hospital, thinking something was physically wrong with me. I also haven’t gotten my period for the past two months, which was a little weird. Reading these reviews, now I understand. I stopped taking the pill for about 3 weeks now, and I do sometimes get nauseous, but my mental health has definitely improved. I feel much better and can’t wait for everything to be back to normal. I will definitely try a different brand of birth control soon."

For Birth Control "I've never taken birth control before, and I was given this by my doctor because I have heavy bleeding and menstrual cramps. I only took this pill for 3 weeks, and they have been the worst 3 weeks of my life. I've struggled with depression, but this pill worsens my depression. I've had panic attacks, and my anxiety is almost unbearable. I'm always nauseous, and I'm unable to eat, and as a result, I've lost a ton of weight. As someone that's already very skinny, this is not a good side effect. I went from being a pretty active, healthy individual to a depressed, always tired, and irritable mess. I've been off the pill for about a week, and I'm still experiencing symptoms. Hopefully, they will go away."

For Birth Control "My experience was terrible, the first 3 months were the worst. Nosebleeds with blood clots, vomiting, constant terrible nausea. Couldn't sleep because of all of the above and waves of heat. I figured it was just me and was to be expected from the “adjusting period” as this was my first time on BC. But it continued for months, the nosebleeds ended and so did the vomiting, but the terrible nausea stayed and so did the heat waves. It did start to regulate my period for a few months, but after a few, I started to get terrible cramps again and two periods in each month. They are now even more irregular than before I began BC. I only learned today that other people have had terrible experiences with this too, I figured it was just me. I would DEFINITELY not recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I was on Balziva for the past year, but my new insurance won't cover it, so my doctor prescribed Blisovi. I am on the first week of my second pack. I got my period with heavy bleeding on the second week of my first pack, then continued to have cramps until the fourth week. I had spotting when I was supposed to have my period according to the pack. At the beginning of each pack so far, I've experienced horrible nausea. I thought it was my body adjusting to new medication, but after reading these reviews, I may need to take these symptoms up with my doctor."

For Birth Control "I recently started Blisovi to help with my very heavy and lengthy periods. I have uterine fibroids and PCOS. The drug did seem to help shorten my period this month and help clear my skin. However, the side effects have been frightening. I only took three of the pills before stopping because my head hurt like nothing I have ever felt. A blistering, searing pain akin to the flu. My eyes burned. My neck and back ached like I had the flu. I was (am still) nauseated and exhausted. Perhaps worse than that, I am mean. Irrationally irritable and teary. The third day I took the pill, I began to feel almost disconnected from reality. I felt more like I was taking a narcotic than a birth control. I have taken other oral contraceptives and never experienced anything akin to this. I will absolutely never take another dose of this stuff."

For Birth Control "For 10 years, I took Loryna. That birth control was awesome, but it made my testosterone levels so low that we needed to change it. My doctor recommended Blisovi 24 Fe. This is my second week, and the nausea is terrible. I can’t sleep because of it, and then the next morning the same. I gained 4 lbs in 2 weeks! I'm an active person who works out 3-4 times a week, and I don't eat differently. Headaches too. And something weird happened one day: my legs itched so bad. It wasn’t an allergy... I don’t know what I’m gonna do."

For Birth Control "I have tried to get on the rhythm of taking this birth control pill. The last pill I was on (Orthotricyclin Lo) was perfect. After just one week on the first pack of this, I had tremendous nausea to the point that I had to lay down countless times throughout the day. I stopped halfway and waited two months. Recently, I just began again. The nausea is not as horrible, but it is still there. I feel it more if I have to be a passenger in a moving car. I'm not measuring my weight, so I don't know how it is affecting me. One odd thing is that after years and years of loving coffee, I find it hard to drink now, it recently began tasting too bitter or too sweet, which was never a problem before. I will have to find another brand in the near future."

For Birth Control "First 3 months of getting used to, I was constantly nauseated, and I was very moody. A few months in, I developed acid reflux because of it. I also got my period twice a month. After 11 days of taking my placebos, I’d start my period. It honestly did not suit my body well, and I would do a lot of research before taking this because it might have too much estrogen for you."

For Birth Control "I was on Loestrin before this and switched because it wasn’t regulating my periods. I tried a full month of this before giving up because I literally lost 5 pounds a week due to not eating because of how nauseous it made me. I would puke anytime I ate a full meal. I don’t have a sensitive stomach either! It’s not worth it if it makes you this sick. I’m switching to Vienva now, we’ll see how it goes!"

For Birth Control "I was originally on a different prescription until I was told my insurance doesn’t cover it and switched to this per the pharmacy. This birth control is horrible, and honestly, after many reviews I’ve read, I’m not sure how this is on the market. My cycle is completely off schedule, bloating, nausea, mood swings, headaches, hot flashes. I would never recommend this, this product is a nightmare!"
