For Birth Control "I felt like I needed to post my experience due to the amount of bad reviews of this medication. I started this birth control in hopes of reducing the heavy, constant bleeding PCOS has given me. The first month was tough, the first few days were worse. I was constantly nauseated, exhausted, mood swings, and I couldn’t concentrate. I had most symptoms like most women complain of. I toughed it out and kept taking it. After the first month, every one of these symptoms subsided along with the bleeding. I am finally feeling normal again. Every birth control has its pros and cons. I don’t regret taking this medicine, and I will admit the first month on Blisovi 24 was extremely difficult. I stopped attending college and laid in bed most of the day. This isn’t my forever birth control as I’m switching to the IUD soon because I’m tired of taking daily pills. Don’t give up, ladies!"

For Birth Control "I had switched over from Sprintec to this in September, and at first, it was fine. My periods were spotty, and sometimes I would miss one. About 2-3 months in, I started to get headaches all the time, and I would randomly become very nauseous at night, which would keep me up for hours. I also noticed I was very irritable, and the smallest thing would set me off. I have now switched to a new pill, and I have felt better on this one."

For Birth Control "This birth control was horrible for me. My GYN prescribed it for painful periods due to ovarian cysts and endometriosis. The first few days, I was plagued by headaches and nausea. Once that resolved, my mood took a swan dive, and I became depressed and would cry over anything remotely upsetting. Then, by the end of the second week, I started having breakthrough bleeding, and that continued for five days. By day five, I decided to take myself off the medication. Once I did that, I was greeted with a terrible migraine. I'd rather suffer through painful periods than deal with any of this."

For Birth Control "Positives: 1. Regulates my period VERY well. Always happens the middle of the last week of the pack until the end of the pack (about 4 days). 2. Lighter periods. 3. Not pregnant. Negatives: 1. REALLY nauseous the day after taking the first pill in every pack. Like, super duper nauseous for about the first 8 hours of the day. Feels horrible. 2. Constant yeast infections. I have had 4 in the past 4 months because of the estrogen in this BC. Might happen on any estrogen BC, but be aware. 3. Debilitating calf cramps at night. Super painful and last about 5 minutes, they wake me up every time. 4. Jumping at every little noise. Been on this for 4 months, appointment tomorrow with gyno to switch."

For Birth Control "Took this birth control for 2 months. Gave me headaches, constant cramps, and nausea, which I understand is somewhat common for the adjustment period, however, the anxiety I experienced while taking this was UNBEARABLE. An actual living nightmare. I was having a full-blown panic attack every single day, if not more than one, to the point where I was actually sleeping at my parents' house every night because my level of functioning/mental stability was so low. Also, it somehow managed to make my period worse than it already was. Do not recommend."

For Birth Control "Was on Lo Loestrin till I changed insurance, and they are making me take this new birth control pill. I loved the one I was on, it helped a lot with easing my menstrual cycle. Now that I've taken this, I feel like I want to be sick almost every night, and my acne is terrible. My breasts have never been this tender. I absolutely hate this product! Calling my doctor for something else, especially after they said it was going to be almost the same. She described it like I was taking Advil, but now I have to take Tylenol. Well, just like with Tylenol, I can't take it."

For Birth Control "This has been my favorite birth control I have ever tried. I was on June FE 1/20 for 2 years, and I loved it except I was experiencing chronic yeast infections. My doctor switched me to Sprintec, which didn’t help the infections and also wrecked my mental health. Then I decided to try the Paragard IUD, which I mostly enjoyed, but it became misplaced. After all that, they put me on Lo Loestrin, which was by far the worst. Acne, depression, and bad nausea. Finally, I was switched to Blisovi, and my skin is better, no change in weight, better mental health, and light, regular (almost to the hour) periods. All birth controls affect us differently, but for me, I’m glad I finally found the winner! Only downside is some nausea and bloating around the first day of my period, but I’ll take it!"

For Birth Control "I've only been on Blisovi for 3 weeks but am liking it so far. I previously took Monoliny/Sprintec with the intention to make my period symptoms more bearable. It was a nightmare and I was terrified to try a new birth control like Blisovi after how unpleasant my previous experience was. I was actually pleasantly surprised! My nausea now is minimal, mood swings and anxiety a little more manageable, and my depression a bit lighter. My appetite has actually decreased instead of increased. As I said, it's only been 3 weeks but they've been just fine. My only complaint so far is some dryness. It doesn't give me a sour smell like my previous birth control but sometimes the dryness is uncomfortable. Some days are worse than others. I never needed lube during sex until now, but I suppose that's a small price to pay so long as it doesn't get worse. It's just because it's a low estrogen dosage, which can cause dryness, so be aware!"

"I was put on the Blisovi 24 Fe BC to manage my PCOS, and I HATE IT! I’ve only been taking it for two weeks, but will be stopping after reading several other similar reviews. The nausea is insane. I can’t eat anything, and if I do try, I risk having to puke. My period hasn’t stopped, and neither have my cramps. On top of all of that, my anxiety is acting up. I usually have my anxiety under control, and it’s been a long time since I’ve had a panic attack, but a week in, I had a panic attack that lasted over an hour. I was going to try to give it the month and let my body get used to it, but after having a few friends over for dinner and then puking it all up and having to send everyone home, I’m done."

For Birth Control "Absolute worst. Dizzy/nauseous for a month. Migraines... It was hard work. Finally realized it was those pills. After being off of them a week, I feel better."
