For Bronchitis "Eased my chest tightness when coughing after the first day. Took for 3 days, then started experiencing stomach cramps, diarrhea, and gas pressure. Gave me a funny taste in my mouth that I couldn't get rid of. Did not take the last 2 pills. Would rather have a cough than stomach issues."

For Bronchitis "OMG, never again. Within 30 min of taking the 2 pills for the first dose, I experienced a feeling of being intoxicated. It is now 12 hrs later. I still feel high or intoxicated, like I had a couple of heavy drinks in me. I'm stumbling, cannot operate a vehicle, walk, or even take a shower or stare at this screen or type on my phone. This drug is horrible. I am jittery and I feel like I'm dying so bad that I just had to call an on-call DR to prescribe me some Augmentin, which I know I can tolerate. I'm having panic attacks, and I feel I am in a brain fog and 'comfortably numb.' Cannot concentrate or think on this drug. It's the same feeling like right after a Percocet, but the high feeling hasn't let up. I hope this feeling goes away soon!!"

For Chlamydia Infection "Went to our local free clinic for routine testing, no diagnosis yet, but they treated me for gonorrhea and chlamydia. The worst side effects ever, from 4:30 till 8:30, non-stop stomach cramps, diarrhea. This medication is horrible. Safe sex would have stopped me from getting into this situation - wrap it up and be safe."

For Bronchitis "Never have taken the generic brand before the pharmacy took it upon themselves to switch it (Rite Aid). I have to say I'm on day 3 of 5, and it's not working. With the original 3-day pack, I started feeling better that night. Now got to call the doc back and have it re-prescribed somewhere else and tell them to not do generic!!!"

For Chlamydia Infection "I'm 17 and live in Australia. At first, I thought I just had a UTI, but boy, was I wrong. A urine test tested positive for chlamydia. Telling my boyfriend was the worst of it, and now he thinks I cheated on him... (and I didn't and never would). But I've only been sexually active with 3 other guys, and I've ALWAYS used protection with them. The reason my current boyfriend and I didn't use protection was that we didn't have any (dumb, I know). But now I'm suffering so much pain in my stomach, and I can hardly move. I'm terrified to tell my mom about it! God, this better work."

For Bronchitis "Brand name works better than the generic version, so despite what anyone may say pushing the cheap generic, you get what you pay for. In most cases, if you have trouble with insurance, you can call them to get them to approve the brand name."

For Pharyngitis "Taking Zithromax (Azithromycin) Teva 250 mg 6-day pack. Gave me diarrhea even with food. Made me feel odd and uncomfortable for some reason. Also noticed that it had marked day 4 on the back of the pack on my last tablet. Don’t know if I had to take it in order or not, but did notice it said day 4. Other than that, I guess it kind of worked, I feel a little better, nothing really noticeable."

For Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "I took 1 pill, and about 6 hours later, I was getting out of my car and woke up on the sidewalk. I had passed out with no warning signs or symptoms. I passed out again within 2 minutes of the first time. I went to the local urgent care, and after speaking to the doctor, he believes it was a side effect of the Z-Pak. That is the only change in any food, drink, or medication for weeks. I was not overheated, and I was hydrated prior to passing out."

For Pharyngitis "I began taking Zithromax today for pharyngitis, however, it made me feel sweaty and nauseous for 45 minutes. I felt like I wanted to lay down in the living room, not in the kitchen, because I was nauseous and unwilling to relax myself instead. Yet, I got mucus. I was able to stay awake and focused the entire time anyway. At the end, nausea disappeared, and my stomach became empty and was more willing to stay seated."

For Mycobacterium avium-intracellulare, Treatment "I have been taking azithromycin for 3 weeks and take it 3 times per week. My doctor recommended that I take it with yogurt. The yogurt helps coat my stomach to keep it from getting upset. So far, it has worked. I also make sure that I drink lots of water when taking this medication and rinse my mouth well. Hopefully, rinsing will keep me from getting mouth sores."
