For Chlamydia Infection "I went to the doctor's because of abnormal bleeding and got a urine test for chlamydia. He called me about a week later, saying that I tested positive and needed to pick up a prescription for one dosage of two 500 mg tablets. It was about an hour and a half later when I started feeling nauseous and had cramping. I went to the toilet and felt like I pooped all the liquids out of me (it was not pleasant). Now it's been about 5 hours since then, and I'm still feeling a little off and have cramping, but it's bearable. Hope everyone is alright and chlamydia-free!"

For Bacterial Infection "This is by far the worst antibiotic I've ever tried. I got the 3-pack today. I took one 500 mg pill for my bronchitis. Within 90 mins, I started having severe dizziness, nausea and vomiting, stomach pains, headaches, and nervousness."

For Chlamydia Infection "I took this medication a little over 3 hours ago, and all of a sudden started feeling nauseous and started cramping. I got in the shower, ate some bread, and drank a bottle of water, and I seem to be doing okay now. If this medication does what it's supposed to do, then it's worth it. Small price to pay for being stupid and having unprotected sex."

Azithromycin for Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "So got my wisdom teeth out about three days ago, had an infection, got prescribed some other crazy antibiotic. Wasn't comfortable taking it, so I asked for a new one the next day and got prescribed Z-Pack. Was hesitating to take this one also because of the reviews and warnings it has. I'm also not one for taking antibiotics. Don't listen to the reviews you're reading, they're scary. I have terrible anxiety, but it's rare that people have those side effects. So yesterday I finally took it. Only had slight nausea and abdominal pains. I think the nausea was from the nervousness. I also got an awesome sleep. I'm already feeling better after my 2nd dose. Have 3 days to go. But I think it's doing its job, just eat yogurt and take a probiotic, you will be fine."

For Chlamydia Infection "Use protection!!! It is not worth it. 10 minutes after I took the 2x500 mg that I was prescribed, I was very nauseous and had horrible stomach pains. I just wanted to lay in my bed and not move - period."

Azithromycin for Chlamydia Infection "Was prescribed one dose over the course of one day, took 4 pills of 250 mg after a light lunch, and had nausea and mild stomach pains/upset. Lying down did not alleviate the discomfort and threw up 3 hours later. Called my doctor to check if I needed to take another dose, but he said my body would have absorbed the pills by then. Still experiencing mild stomach pains, but nausea is mostly gone now."

Azithromycin for Bacterial Infection "I’m allergic to many antibiotics, and the ones I’m not allergic to make me physically ill with nausea and terrible stomach upset. This is the only antibiotic I can take without worrying about horrible side effects. I highly recommend it. It’s also easier to take than many other antibiotics that you have to take multiple times a day. Don’t let any bad reviews scare you, this is a great antibiotic! I’m currently on it for a root canal. But I’ve had it a couple of times in the past for other issues."

For Chlamydia Infection "For chlamydia, basically you’ll get some form of azithromycin 1000 mg, either in 2 or 4 pills. Usually, it’s a single dose, but it depends on what your provider thinks is best. Eat before you take it, you don’t have to, but it will help with stomach pain. You’ll either have intense nausea and feel like throwing up, or your stomach will start acting crazy, and you’ll probably take a watery poop. Other than that, some hours later or maybe even the next day, you will be fine as far as side effects. As far as symptoms, I took mine 2 days ago. I still feel slight symptoms when I pee, but it’s not as profound as before. I guess it hasn’t fully kicked in yet, but if by day 5 I'm not feeling better, I’ll begin to worry. They say it takes about 7 days for the antibiotic to fully work and to get retested in 3 months. Stuff that, I plan to get retested exactly 3 weeks after my initial treatment just to be safe. Simply put, it’s not as bad as it seems, you’ll more than likely be cured even if it takes multiple doses."

For Chlamydia Infection "So I came positive for chlamydia, and I was very nervous. I got prescribed 500 mg of azithromycin. It says take 2 tablets by mouth, so I took it thinking everything was going to be fine. I took them early in the AM, and truly, falling asleep about an hour later, my stomach was making the weirdest cramps ever. Not sharp pains, just felt my stomach was turning. I was VERY nauseous. I stood over my toilet for about an hour, throwing up saliva, nothing else but thin clear saliva. Now I'm starting to feel much better. I think azithromycin will affect everyone in a different way because it is taking away an STD, which is a big deal. Luckily, I didn't have any diarrhea, and hopefully, I start feeling better."

For Chlamydia Infection "Went to the clinic today, and my dr gave me 2 pills (500 mg a piece) to take there. So I did, felt fine until a couple of hours later, then sick to my stomach on and off, and very sleepy. I find that laying in my bed relieves the symptoms for the most part. I have had a few trips to the bathroom with loose stools, but not too bad. My advice: definitely take this in the comfort of your home, where you can get plenty of rest. Hope I feel better tomorrow. And keep in mind that unprotected sex really isn't worth it, it could have been something much, much worse! Always wrap it up!"

For Chlamydia Infection "Today I was diagnosed with Chlamydia, I've had it over 9 months. The clinic gave me two 500 mg tablets. 20 minutes after consumption, my stomach began to ache and I was nauseous. It may be because I didn't eat anything before. I drank some water and ate a bag of chips. An hour passed and my stomach was still upset, so I ate a Reese's Cup milkshake and chicken nuggets from McDonald's. (Obviously not the best.) The pain and nausea subsided a bit afterwards. After that, I took a short 35-minute nap, when I got up, I felt dizzy and my stomach started to bubble, lol. Now I'm at work, and it's 90 degrees here in Las Vegas. It's best to take it at night when you can lay down and be close to a toilet."

For Chlamydia Infection "Let me just say that I was so nervous to take my dose of 500 mg (two pills) after checking the reviews. I was anticipating the pain, lol... nothing happened. I will say this, though: I took it right after I had a meal of BBQ chicken wings and fries and a bottle of water, so maybe eating a meal helped, lol. If anything, I felt nauseous for like 3 minutes... but I think it was more because I was panicking, anticipating the pain, lol. Slept like a baby, it's currently the next day after taking them, and I feel fine. Did use the bathroom today, but it definitely wasn't a bad one like the ones described. So don't be scared! Just eat a full meal and stay hydrated!!! Gonna go back to the doctor in two weeks to make sure it worked! Will check in!"

For Chlamydia Infection "I started a new relationship with my current boyfriend, and I felt something not right after having unprotected sex with him the first time. I went to get tested, and unfortunately, it came back positive. They gave me 2 500 mg pink pills. I was so sick to my stomach that time... so nauseous with diarrhea. So did he. But we didn't wait long enough to have sex and got it one more time. Took it again last night around 10 pm and woke up that day (7:45 am) with bad stomach pain, nauseous and diarrhea-so did my boyfriend. So please wait to have sex again! Better to take it once and have the pain/diarrhea than to double take it for not waiting."

For Chlamydia Infection "Got a positive test result text, went to get treatment that same afternoon with my partner. Both given 4 azithromycin tablets (1000 mg) to take at once. Since taking them, both of us have had nausea, stomach cramps, stomachs making funny gurgling noises, and diarrhea. This started roughly 2 hours after taking. Hoping they will pass soon. Feeling sick is the worst :("

For Chlamydia Infection "Took 4 of the 250 mg. I'm 32 weeks pregnant. First time ever with an STD. I felt horrible, nauseated, vomiting, diarrhea, lightheaded, weak, cramps, and sleepy all at once. It's the next day now, I'm still having diarrhea, but I'm eating. Hopefully, it's all out of my system. I don't ever want to go through this again, this sucks."

For Chlamydia Infection "I took 8! Yes, 8 250 mg pills in one single dose. I took them at 9:30 pm tonight on an empty stomach (I had a hard time eating due to stress). It's now 12:30 am, and I've had watery diarrhea, dizziness, nausea, and hot flashes since 11:30. It seems to be subsiding. Fingers crossed!"

For Chlamydia Infection "Found out my boyfriend contracted chlamydia and knew I had to get checked. 21 years old, going into my first gyno test, terrified. They called me 5 days later stating I had chlamydia. They prescribed 4 tablets. Took all four with food. Felt good for an hour with no side effects. Then felt nauseous. Took a shower to cool down, then having MAJOR runs, it was very liquidy. Knew that it must be working. Going to my check-up soon. Hopefully, don't ever have to take it again. Side note: don't take tablets before school or work. I was lucky to have taken them in my home in privacy. Also, don't have unprotected sex unless you know his sex history."

For Chlamydia Infection "Being that I was 18 and this was my first time being told I had an STD, I was obviously freaking out, so I had gone online and read all the possible side effects of taking this medicine and absolutely scared myself to death. I took the pills at around 4:00 pm and didn't feel anything until around 6 when I began to get extremely nauseous. I paced back and forth for about an hour and it subsided. I never got any sharp pains, but I did have diarrhea for about an hour, but all in all I had a great experience with this medicine!!"

For Chlamydia Infection "I've noticed I had a difference in my discharge then bleeding while I pee. Went to the doctor, turned out that I have chlamydia. I was prescribed 2 dosages of azithromycin. I took the pills Wednesday, it's now Friday, and I have NO side effects. Before I took the pills, I ate Chick-fil-A right before, then took them one at a time back to back because they were too big to take all at once. The only thing I felt was a little bit nauseous and a little stomach pain, but that was it. I could tell the medication is working ALREADY!!!!!"

For Bronchitis "I had a sore throat for two days, then woke up on the third day at 2 a.m. with a hacking cough that kept me up until 6 a.m. (I found and took a Mucinex DM and eventually got back to sleep for a few hours). Called my doctor when I woke up, after coughing up some green stuff from my lungs, and after she called me back at 6 p.m., she called in this medicine. Day 1, you take 2, then 1 a day for 4 days. The 2 I took on day 1 made me nauseated, but I was able to get to sleep 4 hours later thanks to the benzonatate she also prescribed. Today I felt better but still have a sore throat and am still coughing some. The one tablet of azithromycin tonight did not make me nauseated."

Azithromycin for Bronchitis "I went to the ER after I coughed up blood a few times through the day, and I was diagnosed with acute bronchitis. I was prescribed the Z-Pack 5-day regimen. After a couple of days, I began feeling a little better, but by the 5th or 6th day, I felt worse. I had severe nausea and became anorexic to the point that I lost 14 pounds. It took about another 4-5 days until I could eat more than a bite or so of food at any sitting. It's been around a month and a half since this happened, and I'm still having issues with my appetite and weight. I'm still down the 14 lbs, and my energy flags easily. I'll never, EVER take that med again due to such an experience. I've had fine success with other antibiotics, without them being this hard on my gut."

For Chlamydia Infection "I took 1000 mg azithromycin after a bowl of cereal and Crystal Light. My stomach was pretty bubbly afterwards and gave me some gas and some nausea, which passed after I burped, haha. I managed to go to bed, and I've felt fine since. It's been 4 days now, and I feel normal. I had no symptoms of chlamydia, so I cannot tell you how fast it treated me. I will be retested in a few weeks."

For Chlamydia Infection "People with emetophobia/health anxiety, please listen! I am 18 and have horrible emetophobia and health anxiety. I was prescribed two, 250 mg azithromycin doses to take at once, and reading these reviews scared me. TRUST ME, you will be okay. The only symptoms I had were nausea and feeling hot. The nausea passed after about an hour, as well as the heat flash. I did not throw up, so trust me, you will be okay! Just breathe, lay down, and relax. Make sure you eat a meal 30 minutes before you take it and drink lots of water! Stay safe, y’all!"

For Chlamydia Infection "Honestly... I wish someone would have told me what I was getting myself into with taking this. And also I do understand everyone’s reaction is different, but I just wish I could’ve prepared myself. I had the WORST stomach cramps and stomach pain I’ve ever had in my life! Similar to a previous food poisoning experience... I took Gravol before since my doctor said it could cause some nausea, but this was beyond anything I’d ever imagined. Shortly after the cramping started, I had UNCONTROLLABLE diarrhea! I feel so lucky I wasn’t driving or working. It lasted several hours, and I even woke up in the middle of the night to more cramps and..... you know what... It’s the next day, and I’m still having cramps and stomach gurgles. Ugh. I have no idea of the effectiveness at this time, but definitely the worst side effects I’ve ever had from medication."

For Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "I had been sick for a few days before taking these. Enough had been enough when I couldn't breathe because of thick, nasty mucus in my throat and a sinus infection. I had an extremely bad situation that led to the removal of my gallbladder, so I have been dealing with gastro symptoms for months. I did take this with food and probiotic yogurt, but it led to the worst diarrhea (I was sweating) and slight nausea (gassy). Bless those who battle worse side effects! You know, despite the side effects, I am staying positive because the post-nasal drip went away and I can breathe somewhat. I recommend taking a sick day if you begin this medication. 8/10 only because these side effects are awful to me. Otherwise, awesome antibiotics."
