For Chlamydia Infection "I found out I had chlamydia on Monday. I'm not sure which one of my exes gave it to me. Broke up with my boyfriend of one and a half years the first week of February because he was cheating, and the last time I had sex with him was in January. Because I was still very emotional, I ended up sleeping with one of my other exes from 2014 the second week of February, so I don't know which one gave it to me. On Tuesday, I went to the clinic, and they gave me the two pills. Within half an hour, I was getting stomach cramps and felt like going to the toilet and also felt like vomiting but never did. The next day I was fine. The day after, I was fine. Then today, out of nowhere, my chest hurts, and it's making me want to cough and have a slight headache."

For Bronchitis "I am on day 5 of the Z-Pak for bronchitis, and the only improvement I have is no more swollen throat. I cannot take deep breaths, otherwise, I immediately go into a coughing fit. My coughs are deep and painful, and my stomach is certainly not a fan of this medication at all. I can only sleep on my back to avoid the coughing and wheezing, so when I finally do fall asleep, I could sleep for days, only to wake up more exhausted. I had a fever of 100.9 the first day (Friday), which went away later after the first 2 pills but returned periodically throughout the weekend along with hot and cold sweats. The headaches are honestly the worst part. When I cough, my head feels like it's going to split open. Seeking alternatives next time."

For Chlamydia Infection "This is not my first time taking antibiotics, however, this is my first ever STI. My boyfriend (ex) had it given to him, then I got it!! Yay, after 10 years of unprotected/protected sex with many different guys, I never once had anything. Now I'm actually dating someone and this happens. Anyways, I completely forgot to eat before taking these meds. I was fine for the first hour or so, then, relaxing in bed, I started getting lightheaded, a massive headache, and the feeling of nausea. Thankfully, I already take nausea meds on a daily basis for anxiety, so I took those. But even they didn't help, I had bad diarrhea and now have to lay completely still on my bed, as I can't move. Any time my boyfriend moves, I get even worse. I'm used to my stomach hurting and the nausea feeling, but I can make that go away with muscle relaxants and my nausea meds. This sucks."

For Bacterial Infection "Ok, I got the flu really bad and got a bacterial respiratory infection. I got 5 days of this and an inhaler. The pharmacy said I didn't have to take it with food. I took the 2 pills at 11:30 a.m., about an hour after taking it, I got an extremely bad headache that wouldn't go away. Around 5 p.m., it finally went away. At 6:30, I started to get really painful, bad stomach cramps. I went to the bathroom and had extremely severe watery diarrhea. I was on the toilet with this for 3 hours! I'm now lying in bed with stomach pain. I honestly think I might just stop taking it and hope the infection goes away and use my inhaler. The pain is horrific!"

For Bacterial Infection "WARNING: I took only 4 pills of this medication during a flu with sinus infection, and it caused me to lose my abilities to smell and taste. It also caused severe headaches and dizziness until I stopped taking it. I don't know what it may mean for me to not be able to smell or taste again... I can't imagine the rest of my life with such a loss, but if I can at least warn others and prevent it from happening to another person..."

For Chlamydia Infection "Found out I had chlamydia, so the following week returned to the clinic to get medication. Not warned about potential side effects. I had eaten breakfast almost 3 hrs prior (fruit & yogurt). Took the two pills with some water and started my 30 min drive home. Promptly decided to stop for food. Felt nauseous, and my stomach was cramping. Ordered greasy chips, while waiting for the food, I felt like I was either going to throw up, fart, or shit myself. Ate while driving, nausea and stomach unease continued the rest of the ride home. Came home and promptly visited the toilet. No diarrhea, but BM was slightly irregular. Experienced stomach gurgling 3 hrs post taking medication. Had a headache the rest of the evening, and the frequent and unpleasant farts began. Symptoms began to disappear 9 hrs post taking medication. The next day I am feeling better, apart from having a sensitive nose and certain smells making my stomach feel uneasy."

Azithromycin for Sinusitis "This drug worked after 5 days on my sinus infection. On the 6th day, I experienced vomiting, dizziness, stomach cramps, constipation, black stool, hypertension, fast beating of the heart, low energy, hives on my face, headaches, swollen eyelids, and dark circles under my eyes. Day 11 after taking the last dose, still experiencing a fast heartbeat, swelling in my feet, and hives on my face. Low energy."

For Middle Ear Infections "Received this as an alternative to other antibiotics because of my IBS and how bad they normally wreck my stomach. First, about 16 hours went along very smoothly as I took the 2 250 mg doses and immediately went downhill. I liked mom stop for over an hour. The very next morning, I stayed home from work, took another pill at about 8:30 am, and did alright through the day until about midnight when I woke up to stomach gurgling and severe nausea/headache."

For Chlamydia Infection "Honestly, I do not have a sensitive stomach to these things or really any medications - immediate headache and worsening nausea, stomach ache, and grumbling for over 11 hours now. So nauseous. I am prescribed Zofran, and it is still hardly helping. I will never take this again. I'm so disgusted by how I feel!"

For Sinusitis "First time I've been prescribed azithromycin for my sinus infection, and it completely sucks for it compared to my typical amoxicillin. Three days in on the Z-Pak and nothing, still have a fever, no change in sinus pressure, and now a splitting headache with a large amount of gas. At least with amoxicillin by the third day, I would feel better, this, nothing. I'll continue treatment just to see, but highly doubt it."

For Chlamydia Infection "Previous to this, I want to say please use protection! I got chlamydia from an old boyfriend, and I absolutely had no idea up until a couple of weeks ago, where I also got diagnosed with BV. This medicine was good for about the first hour, around hour two, I had a very intense stomach pain, and the second day, I was extremely drowsy with a super intense headache. I couldn’t go to work, I couldn’t drive, let alone stay awake. And when I was awake, I had extreme diarrhea. This was the most intense medicine I’ve ever dealt with. Though it did clear up my chlamydia."
