For Chlamydia Infection "This was not my first time taking this medication (I was lied to twice), however, it was the first time I've had side effects. I did not eat before or after and still managed to vomit a few times. I've been nauseated since I took the medication and have developed a headache as well as stomach cramps. Now I'm just praying I didn't puke up the meds! PLEASE GO GET CHECKED BEFORE UNPROTECTED SEX! I shouldn't have to go through complete hell because my partner didn't realize there were TWO DIFFERENT TESTS! A blood test does NOT check for gonorrhea or chlamydia!"

For Chlamydia Infection "Omg! Do NOT take these on an empty stomach! I only had a couple of crackers and water thinking I would be okay... WRONG. I got a headache, felt very nauseous, and worst of all, the stomach cramps. I took four 250 mg pills and not even 10 minutes later, I felt the side effects. It’s only been 2 hours since, and I’m in bed curled in the fetal position. Sidenote: I ate a piece of bread, and life seems to have gotten better, but still no headache relief."

For Bacterial Infection "I was given azithromycin for a bacterial infection and strongly regret it. I continued with the medication for four of the five doses, finally stopping upon a call to the pharmacist. I quickly lost all taste and desire to eat food and became very drowsy. The next morning, I was much worse. I could not get out of bed without falling over because of severe dizziness and a headache. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, I realized I had thrush on my tongue and a rash all over my body. This was soon followed by cramps and diarrhea. I wish this nightmare upon nobody, and apparently, this reaction is not that uncommon. I wouldn't risk it."

For Chlamydia Infection "I only found out that my very long-term boyfriend was cheating on me because he gave me chlamydia. I took the four 250 mg pills in the doctor's office yesterday around 3:30. At 4 pm I had severe stomach cramping. I felt nauseous and thought that maybe it was just because I didn't eat enough before taking them. I had no appetite, but I managed to eat a little bit. I have constantly felt like I was going to have diarrhea, but nothing or little comes out. Today is day two, and I've had weird blurred vision, dizziness, and a headache along with more cramping and stomach pain. Still no appetite, and I'm extremely sleepy. It hasn't helped chlamydia symptoms-still itching and discomfort and discharge. Hopefully, something will give soon."

For Chlamydia Infection "I was prescribed azithromycin for chlamydia. I was scared to take the medication after reading the reviews. I was prescribed two 500 mg to take in one day. I took it yesterday, the first pill at about 8 am after I ate breakfast (eggs). I’m not sure about everyone else’s experience, but the only thing I felt was a little nausea, gas, and headaches. (I hope I took it correctly.) I took the 2nd pill at about 8 pm, then I only felt tired. Instantly, no pain, I just wanted to sleep. I go back to the doctor January 7. I pray it’s cleared, Lord knows I’ll never do this again!"

For Chlamydia Infection "I ordered a home test kit and tested positive for infection. I then had to take two 500 mg tablets. Twenty minutes after taking them, I became very hot and agitated. I became very nauseous and gagged three or four times. I had really bad stomach cramps and felt the need to go to the toilet. For the rest of the day, I felt sick on and off. I was also pretty dizzy and in a 'blur' most of the day, not feeling right at all. It also caused a headache and made me feel more tired than normal."

For Sinusitis "I had killer pain in my throat when talking and swallowing. By day 2 of the pack, I felt perfect! I am kind of wishing I hadn't finished it though. Day 3 I started to get a fever, congested nose, body aches, chills, and a headache like I've never experienced before (and I have experienced quite a few concussions...). I can hardly function due to the pain in my head and neck! I would rather have the infection back than feel like I am being crushed by my own body."

For Bacterial Infection "I give azithromycin a 5 just because while I was taking it, it did seem like my coughs were becoming less frequent and persistent, and maybe had I continued, it would have stopped eventually. However, this came at a huge expense because on day 2, I began getting terrible headaches (supposedly a rare side effect) which continued until day 5 when I stopped taking them. I would be restless at night, and any time I would toss or turn, I would feel an aching pain in my head. It got to the point where I had to take sleep medicine to help me sleep at nights because I couldn't without it. Still have the cough and looking for a new solution."

For Chlamydia Infection "So I tested positive for chlamydia one year into a committed, exclusive relationship and was absolutely perplexed as neither of us had any symptoms until recently when I exhibited a yeast infection, a fever, and a rash. Grabbed two sets of 500 mg tablets from the pharmacy for both of us, and I took mine yesterday at 4:00 before reading any reviews—the only thing I had eaten thus far was a bowl of oatmeal at 10:00 that morning, so I was a little worried that I would be in pain. Surprisingly, I had next to zero side effects on this! My stomach was fine, and it didn’t make me poop or throw up like others are reporting. I took a nap right after I took the pills and woke up around 7 still exhausted and with the tiniest headache. I went to bed at 12. It’s now 9:30, and I just woke up and am still pretty lethargic, but other than that, I am feeling just fine. Don’t let these reviews scare you, as medicine affects everyone differently!"

For Chlamydia Infection "I took 4 pills in one day for chlamydia, and I didn’t check any of the side effects or get scared taking them. I took them and only ended up with a headache. Thank goodness I didn’t get any stomach cramps. I also had diarrhea later that day but didn’t think it had anything to do with the treatment because I was stressing myself out all day about the chlamydia that it very well could have caused it. For Chlamydia Infection "Went to the doctor, tests were negative, my boyfriend's test a week earlier was positive. The doctor said he could have a false positive, I don’t care, give me the meds, I don’t play about my health! 4 pills to take at once (insurance only pays for 3, had to pay $4.20 for the last pill). I ate gumbo and a Coke (bad idea), took them at 1:30, minutes later I felt sleepy. An hour later, bad headache, then at around 4 I started feeling really nauseous, an hour later diarrhea and chest pains. I then ate 3 sandwiches and a bottle of water and still felt horrible all day. Went to sleep about 9, woke at 3 for more diarrhea, nauseated, chest pains, feeling empty and bad cramps. I’m ready for this medicine to take its course and get out of my system. I wouldn’t wish these side effects on anyone. I heard even on a full stomach you’re going to experience side effects, but mild...if it gets too bad, PLEASE people go to the ER! But once again, “TAKE THESE ON A FULL STOMACH.”"

For Chlamydia Infection "I had no idea that I had the clap because I have not been with anyone for months. I took the 2 pills as soon as I got home from the pharmacy because the pharmacist said there were no side effects. Oh, was he wrong. 30 min after I took it, I had a sharp pain in my stomach and nausea. It was unbearable. I laid in bed with a headache as well and fell asleep for an hour. I woke up feeling better, but now I have started to feel terrible again. Had some diarrhea, but did not feel like throwing up. I am still nauseous and have a headache. Treating chlamydia was so much worse than treating gonorrhea. :("

For Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis "Went to the doctor for fever, severe dizziness, and some sinus drainage and sore throat. My flu swab came back negative, so she labeled it as acute pharyngitis, prescribed 5-day Z-Pak. Less than 2 hours after my first dose, I had horrible, painful diarrhea. I also began to experience severe stomach pain even though I made sure to take it with plenty of food. My symptoms did not improve, and I began having headaches as well. It is now the day after my final dose, and my sore throat is back, my fever is still high, head hurts, and I'm dizzy as ever, though my stomach is finally feeling better now that I'm out of this useless medicine."

For Chlamydia Infection "Before going to the clinic, I ate two breakfast sandwiches and drank water and an iced coffee. About 45 minutes after is when I took the pills. One dose of four 250 mg capsules. I didn’t feel any side effects until about 2 hours later. My stomach has been cramping and I feel very nauseous, but nothing too severe. My opinion is to eat relatively heavy before taking the pills and not just the two saltine crackers some offices offer. If the clinic suggests you take them in the office and you haven’t eaten, request to take the pills with you so you’re more prepared. Do not eat these on an empty stomach. My other suggestion is to do this on a day you don’t have much planned. I took the pills, then came home and napped. I did wake up once feeling bad, but I fell back asleep and feel better now. My stomach is also making strange noises and I have a slight headache, but no diarrhea yet (crossing fingers). Take it easy and baby yourself."

For Sinusitis "Side effects: headache, dizziness, and really tired. I have eye pain, no hunger, stomach pain, body chills, and nervousness. I feel like I'm gonna get sick. I'm on my 3rd day of this medication, and my sinus, well my nose, is still stuffy sometimes. Haven't seen a lot of change. I have 3 more days to go, let's see, because amoxicillin didn't work for me :(."

For Bacterial Infection "Took this on a full stomach once before, worst couple of days of my life with the 5 pill pack. Took again with a bland meal and two 500 mg pills, and once again I feel like someone is stabbing me in the abdomen. Nausea, diarrhea, headache, oh my goodness, thankfully it gets rid of the infection, but just protect yourself from any situation that would require you to take this. Side effects totally not worth it, don’t think there’s any way around them :("

For Chlamydia Infection "Took two pills with food, and within 30 minutes felt agitated, so went to sleep. Woke up 20 mins later REALLY hot, with my heart beating so fast! Felt very dizzy and weak, but made it to the toilet, vomited heaps, and had diarrhea. It was so full-on and a really scary experience. I called the helpline because I was somewhere without a hospital. Been two days since, and I’m still very dizzy and uneasy, have also had a headache ever since. Obviously, they won’t work since I probably vomited them up, so I’m going to take doxycycline for a week instead."

For Chlamydia Infection "I took this medication a day ago and, like, 5 min after taking it, I had a headache. Then, like, 30 min later, I had harsh stomach pain and needed to diarrhea right away. I rushed home and it was like a huge relief after that. Now, today, a day after I took the pill, I woke up feeling so sick, like I needed to throw up. I tried to throw up and couldn’t, but I had diarrhea again. But it definitely is worth the pain, just to be chlamydia free."

For Chlamydia Infection "My girlfriend and I had a threesome with some random chick. (Not advisable) I was pretty inebriated, so I'm guessing we somehow contracted it even with the failed attempt at using condoms. Anyway, we tested positive for clap, and I got two pills of azithromycin. I took the tablet about thirty minutes later, then I started feeling really ill. Light headache, cramps. I went home, laid down, then I was running to the toilet with diarrhea. Hopefully, this means it's working, lol. My girlfriend had similar symptoms."

For Chlamydia Infection "I was prescribed after receiving the news of my diagnosis on a Tuesday. On Wednesday, I went to get my prescription. I ate dinner around 6:30 pm, and at 9 pm took the 4 pills at once (250 mg each). After taking them, my stomach needed settling, but I didn't get nauseous. By 10:30, I got a bad headache, and diarrhea by 11 pm. Other than that, I feel okay. We'll see as the week progresses."
