"The secret of taking any antibiotics is a full stomach. Meaning, you should eat a full meal even if you don't have an appetite. A bowl of rice, soup, porridge, noodles, banana, oatmeal, peanut butter sandwich with honey, or anything you can eat. A full stomach before you take the medicine (in fact, any kind of medicine, even vitamins) is key to not feeling all the side effects. Also, if you feel too many side effects (nausea, vomiting, dizziness), you may be allergic to one component of the medicine you are taking. You should check on it! Like, I usually get Augmentin for my tonsils and ear infection, but I constantly get the same side effects when I take it, then I found out I was allergic to penicillin content."

"Azithromycin made me awfully sick. I was constantly shaking and could not keep my food down. I was very stomach sick, but it did clear my tonsillitis and strep (I had both at the same time), considering it rebounded."

"This is one of the best drugs for strep infection, omg! It is a lifesaver from pain. Just 30 minutes after I took one, I already felt better, I could swallow easily! And it's only 5-day meds!"

"Was given the five-day pack for strep throat. Day four and finally improving a bit. Probably not the strongest or best for strep, but slowly does the job and works for five days after completing meds."
