For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "To whoever is taking this medication, more power to you. My doc asked me to go for a urea breath test, and it came positive. I have to go for a 7-day course. So far, I have finished 2 days. I have needle phobia, and I always choose pills over needles, but this is the first time I am wishing they would have given me injections instead of this horrible medicine. In my entire life, I have never taken such pills, it makes me feel nauseous all the time. The worst thing about it is the taste in your mouth, which lingers for 24 hours. No matter what you eat, it doesn’t go away. I don’t have any issues with sleep, but the taste makes you so uncomfortable. I do have an upset stomach and loose motion. My appetite has gone down, but not majorly. I can still eat. I still have to take 5 more days. I just wish it goes faster. I don’t know if it’s working or not."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I want to help you with side effects! I recently got diagnosed with H. pylori, and let me tell you it was horrible. These were my symptoms: dull stomach pain, feeling full, loss of appetite, yellowish stool with white specks, bad taste in mouth especially in the morning, nausea all the time especially in the morning, night sweats with intense nausea and bad taste in mouth, dull pain in stomach sometimes especially in the morning. Talking a lot made my voice hoarse. Extreme dull lower back pain! And the shakes. Now I’m on day 3 of my treatment. I was feeling way better just after my first dose of my antibiotics (metronidazole 500 mg 4x/day, doxycycline 100 mg 2x/day, omeprazole 20 mg 2x/day, Pepto 2 tablets 4x/day). After my second day of treatment, I was feeling horrible: extreme nausea, diarrhea, and extreme panic attacks. Long story short, you have to take probiotics! Not just any, the right probiotics! Here’s the list: Saccharomyces Boulardii (Amazon), Yakult, and Activia (grocery store)."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Extreme fatigue after first dose. Improved over hours. Very slight nausea. With second dose came the famous nasty mouth taste and a dull ache in stomach. No diarrhea."
