Ultram (tramadol) for Chronic Pain: “Tramadol is a good medication that can take care of a wide range of pain. This medication is a great sub to addictive meds. A medication that only manages the pain and does not manage your mental state.”
For Chronic Pain: “I am 31 years old and I have had chronic back and neck pain since I was 14. I have been prescribed different medications over the years. Tramadol seems to help me the most for what I need. There are other medications that are more powerful but have worse side effects and I need to be sharp minded enough to do my job. Tramadol takes away about 70% of my pain and allows me to function. I also feel happier when I’m on it, probably just because I’m not in agonizing pain. I wrote this review because so many people say tramadol doesn’t work but it actually helps some of us function a normal life. Withdraw symptoms are manageable.”
For Pain: “I have been taking tramadol for 8 years. Looking at all these reviews, my first response was that many of these folks are lying. However, maybe the effectiveness of this drug and its side effects are indeed all over the spectrum. I researched the drug when first starting to use it and it had many fewer warnings and potential side effects then. It was not considered a narcotic. Here's my view. It removed my pain which had me on the verge of suicide, sitting on the foot of my bed in tears. It removed all my pain, 100% with absolutely no side effects at all. No dizziness, sleepiness, nausea, withdrawal problems, tolerance buildup at all. Taking for 8 years now 100mg at 6:00am and 100mg at 6:00pm every day. A miracle to me!”

For Depression: “I suffer from MDD and have taken about 7 different antidepressants which have been, for the most part, ineffective. On the 4 or 5 occasions I have taken tramadol, it has has noticeable effects on my mood. Tramadol doesn't make me drowsy and has powerful antidepressant effects. I feel better for days after a single dose of Tramadol, in which I feel I have more energy, less anxiety and feel oddly clearheaded. I know this drug is not typically indicated for depression or anxiety, but it seems to crush both in one go, at least for me anyways.”
For Depression: “I've had depression and anxiety for about 14 years now. I can't even count how many antidepressants and other meds I tried without any results at all. I even spent so much money on ketamine therapy without any benefits. Only tramadol has ever worked for not only my anxiety and depression but to my surprise, it has helped my ADHD. Unfortunately, thanks to the government, the doctors would rather let you die than give you a prescription for tramadol.”
For Depression: “Weight loss: I lost 21lbs in 4 months: Better mood=Less appetite=More exercise Lost craving to carbs. Instead, crave protein. Hike and swim every other day. Sex drive went down, not to zero though. Maybe from 8 to 3. (Male) but feeling so much better overall. Wellbeing without sex. Weird but possible. Once daily 50mg. Welcome to the new me. This is the first antidepressant I ever took. In summary, feel happier and lost 21lbs (from 221 to 200). More productive at work. Self employed, lost money to depression. Now much better, back to the rat race and loving it. Btw Tramadol metabolises better in some people based on ancestry, so I read. It works for me (Sicilian descent). *Note: most doctors are reluctant to prescribe tram for depression”
Ultram (tramadol) for Chronic Pain: “Ultram has worked well for the multiple chronic pain issues I have and has allowed me to function though the cervical/lumber problems are becoming worse. If not for Ultram, I would be housebound & unable to move. Unfortunately, a new doctor without reason reduced the script which has resulted in my pain increasing and being unable to sometimes walk. I did further research and found the DEA final report that clearly states that doctors should not decrease or stop this med for chronic pain. They were quick to prescribe gabapentin which is one of the worst drugs taken-within 36 hours I had a severe adverse event. I filed an adverse event complaint with FDA and also had my pharmacy redline the drug so it would not be prescribed again. Read the information on meds you are taking or a doctor suggests you take before you pay for it. Sometimes the negative effects are worse than the health problem you have.”

For Depression: “I think there is a reason the government has made Tramadol a category C drug...they want people in society to take it but everybody in society just wants to get high. Tramadol is the best DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, MILD PAIN MEDICINE EVER. This actually is better than everything without the high. If you actually wanna be a happy person without being high, this is it. 50 mg am- optional second until next day. Forget the critics. I would say this is like adderal, without the hunger side effects, lack of sleep, personality disorder, grumpyness, depression, etc etc etc. The best thing about it is the government is only selling it for $4 dollars. You don't even need health insurance.”
Ultram (tramadol) for Pain: “I am 29 years old. I have fibromyalgia and hypermobility disorder. Without this drug I would be worthless. I used to be a grumpy person that could not accomplish anything without major difficulty. I have taken Ultram ER 300 for the last 3 years. I have never been without this medicine for more than 12 hours. I am now 3 days off this medicine because I ran out by accident. This has been the most miserable experience of my life. I am on the verge of getting written up at work. I can not focus. I feel horrible. I cant go to sleep at night and I cant wake up in the morning. This is truly miserable. I feel as if I am being hit by a truck several times a day.”
For Anxiety: “Its hard to believe something like this can exist yet when you go to a doctor with cut up arms & hearing voices, scared out of your mind, obsessed about an idea as irrational as the empty tight feeling in your chest they give you a box of antidepressants. I have always been socially awkward & use to cry allot as a kid, the day dreamer who enjoyed being alone except I didn't like being alone. Tramadol gives me around 6 hours of bliss, 6 hours of clear thoughts of what is in-front of me, its amazing. a cure to unhappiness, its a shame its difficult to get, I have been on it for a year and a half, 1 50mg pill every 3 days gives me the motivation to wake up. ”
For Depression: “I have been on EVERY antidepressant over 20 years. I was prescribed Tramadol for a toothache. Not much help on the pain, but within a hour, I felt hope, energy, and have been on the same 200mg for 4 years without any problems!!!”
For Depression: “SAVED MY LIFE!!! I was struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD from a particularly rough teenhood, and motivation for years. I could never get out of bed in the morning, or get anything started (especially completing something). I also used to get traumatic night terrors. Tramadol changed everything. Every day I leap out of bed at 6am, bounding with energy and motivation. I got my dream job, worked so well that I got promoted to a Senior position within 2 months of starting, and was able to earn enough to move into an even bigger house than what I used to live in. Also have had zero negative side effects! No messing with weight, libido, and no "crashing" or depressive lows when coming off it. 11/10 for treating depression!”
For Anxiety: “I suffer chronic anxiety, negative thoughts and daily panic attacks. Have taken Xanax, Klonopin, Valium and Ativan. I can't believe it but Tramadol actually works better for anxiety than all these benzos put together. I haven't taken my daily 4mg of klonopin but am feeling fantastic and very chilled on Tramadol. They should approve this stuff for both Anxiety and Depression, it's incredible.”
For Chronic Pain: “This drug almost wrecked my life. Please carefully consider before starting this drug for any more than about 2 weeks. I was given Tramadol because I didn’t want to take any narcotics due to the bad reputation they get. Little did I know what was about to happen to me! I have a chronic condition which causes severe pain. I was taking as prescribed, and after a few weeks I would wake up every morning at 4am, feeling “doomed”. I knew everything was fine, yet I would cry and my heart would race, and my stomach would churn. This went on for almost a year. I eventually weaned myself off, but that took a solid six months of having to end up taking a sliver of a pill at a time. It was BRUTAL! I would never wish this on anyone!!!! I would have crying spells out of nowhere. It was so embarrassing. I couldn’t bear to be left alone, which is unlike me...honestly, it changed me, because it made me feel that if a medication can do that to me, then I’m afraid of all medications, now.”
Ultram (tramadol) for Back Pain: “I have been on Ultram for a few years now I had a spinal fusion and they put me on Ultram 50 mg for pain every 4 hours and I must say it helps me tremendously! Even more then Percocet or Vicodin so I would highly recommend this medication for back pain.”
For Fibromyalgia: “I've had Fibromyalgia for 5 years, only formally diagnosed in January this year. So, I have suffered. I tried Pregabalin but couldn't tolerate it. I asked to try Tramadol and what a difference, they are a wonderful drug for Fibro pain, to alleviate anxiety and lift your mood most probably because you don't feel overwhelmed with pain. I prefer to not take them if I feel I can cope well without to prevent dependency. I recommend you give them a try.”
For Restless Legs Syndrome: “PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE! It's the tramadol and the withdrawal effect that is causing the RLS. I got on this site to find out what I can take for the RLS, as I wean myself off of the tramadol. Number 1 withdrawal affect = RLS! And here everyone is talking about getting on it. Don't do it! It is a severe addictive drug that will lead to many problems when you get off. The anger, depression, lack of sleep, fatigue, achiness, and most of all RLS is enough to drive me crazy. ”
For Depression: “Tramadol works but I get Serotonin Syndrome that made me very anxious and has toxic chemicals that are added ingredients that are hurting you and causing uneasiness and is a carcinogenic chemicals that are added ingredients for no apparent reason causing liver and kidney problems”
For Depression: “I LOVE Tramadol. I'm a stay at home mom and I'm over weight, big chest, and my back hurts all the time. Chasing toddlers around and doing house work can be aggravating at times. I've found tramadol to help with quite a few things. Mood, Motivation, pain, depression. I no longer take valium and effexor for my anxiety and depression because tramadol helps everything in my case! It's a wonder pill for me. I usually take 50mg when I get up, 1 later on in the day, then 1 at night. Sometimes I might take 2 in the morning and then 1 later that evening. But regardless tramadol makes me feel normal and able to do my everyday duties without being in a slump. Shame it's a narcotic now bc doctors are hesitant to prescribe and you don't get refills so u have to go every month to your doctor to get it. Hope this helps someone in pain and or depression as I've found it to be of help in both areas!!!”
For Depression: “I was put on Tramadol for pain and a funny thing happened. I noticed I felt more energy and overall well being. I had felt a bit depressed over the years and they tried a few meds but none seemed to work. I had surgery and was given tramadol. Once the pain was gone - I stopped it and noticed I fell back into my old slump. I was in therapy and tried everything. Years later I went to Mexico for business and saw Tramdol in the pharmacy. I bought one bottle of 50mg capsules and said let's try this. 50mg twice a day. Within 2 weeks people were commenting I seemed like I was happier. It does not give me a high like hydrocodone and other opiate meds. They need to explore this and stop shooting it down as an antidepressant.”
For Depression: “It's by far the most efficient medication for my depression and social anxiety with negligible abuse potential and no side effects, the problem is my psychiatrist refuses to prescribe it to me and even threatened to sue my GP over prescribing it to me for depression, she would rather have me on expansive inefficient shit with tons of side effects because of big pharma lobbying and money she gets from it...Sick world we live in.”
For Anxiety: “The fact of the matter is this Tramadol is a wonder drug these so called drugs that are supposed to help you with your mental health are not cutting it. I'm a ex heroin addict in recovery and had a back surgery been on all kind of drugs for my mental health. Work with my psychiatrist on my head and have not found anything that helps like this. I'm aware that I could get a habit on this but so far so good if you are a open book with everyone around you and keep it real this a very beneficial drug This drug should be giving to help people in many ways . Thank you”
For Pain: “I have found that Amneal pharmaceutical company is the best I've ever used for a tramadol pain medication they are the white and round tablet with AN 627 on the tablet doesn't have any harmful chemicals that are harmful to your health”
For Anxiety: “This drug tamadol has completely changed my life. I also take 20mg of lexapro. My anxiety has been so high in my recent years and depression hits hard. I was prescribed tramadol 3 times a day and for this past year my anxiety went from a 10 to a 1 or 2. I'm more active and it has saved my marriage. I recommend this drug to anyone with depression/anxiety and drop the other psych meds.”
For Depression: “Have taken Tramadol for depression after being labeled treatment-resistant. I have tried all SSRIs, all SNRIs, and one tricyclic antidepressant and did not respond to any of them. Tramadol is the only medicine to bring depression relief. Scientific research at the University of Cincinnati supports this claim as Tramadol is thought to have SNRI properties and may even help OCD in some. Love it.”
