For Osteoarthritis "I had my first Durolane injection in Dec 2018. I am trying to avoid a knee replacement as I am only 53 years old. I have bone on bone in the medial aspect of my knee. I had 8 months of relief that has been amazing. The first 2 weeks, I seemed to be in more pain and felt like I shouldn’t have had the injection. Then it settled down, and I have lived pain-free and active until 2 weeks ago. I have ended up needing crutches, so I decided to have another Durolane injection. I just had another injection today, and I know the next week or so may be a bit worse, but I can’t wait to be pain-free again. In Australia, your private health insurance will cover $300 for the procedure. Will keep having these until I eventually decide on the replacement."

For Osteoarthritis "This past Monday was my last shot of "the gel." When I did the first shot, they removed 4 syringes of fluid from my knee before they could inject the gel. By the third injection, almost no fluid, but for me, it has not been a quick pain reliever. The side of my knee still hurts. Feels like someone is stabbing you with a sharp object. For example, it is difficult to press on a car brake. It is stiff when I sit down and painful when I get up. They said it will take 7-8 weeks to have the gel take effect. I hope so."

For Osteoarthritis "Yes, 3 scheduled injections, the 1. First injection was completed in both knees, left knee severe, right knee bone on bone. After first injection, left knee pain diminished within a few hours, right knee took a longer time but diminished some. Just completed 2. Second injection yesterday and left knee feels good, little pain after running, right knee getting better. Did not get the third (3) injection yet. However, since the first injections, I could feel the difference, and if it takes 3 to 4 weeks to see any progress after the last injection, this could be great!"

For Osteoarthritis "Getting the injections in my knees was the worst decision I have ever made. The shots themselves are the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced, and I could barely even walk to the car after my appointment. I could put no weight on my left leg for four days. Two weeks after the injections, my knees have not improved, and my calves are in excruciating pain most of the time, which was not a symptom before the injections. This never should have been approved as a viable option for osteoarthritis. I don’t know how it got past the testing phase! Durolane, in my opinion, should be taken out of use, and we should sue the manufacturer for misrepresentation and pain and suffering."

For Osteoarthritis "I had the series of 5 shots back in 2012. The first two shots were mostly painless, the third hurt like anything, but the fourth and fifth were not bad at all. I was very happy with the results. Here it is 6 years later, and my knee started becoming painful about a month ago. It's not the same 'lightning' zapping pain like I had in 2012, now it's more of an overall ache. I have an appointment tomorrow to see if a second round can be done. I think 6 years of relief was pretty good."

For Osteoarthritis "This is the worst injection on the market. I had the injection in both knees, the right one was okay for a while, but the left one got worse immediately after getting it. I got sick, the pain was extremely unbearable. What upset me more is my doctor never told me that the injection might not work or it might worsen my condition. He said this would make the quality of my life much better. What a lie. When I did see my doctor again, he then said it doesn't work for everyone and didn't want to hear how worse my knees are now. His solution was to have knee replacement. I only had a small problem and was doing fine before I got with this doctor a little over 2 years, now I am crippled and in severe pain daily. Both knees are damaged. I will do research on everything before putting or injecting anything in my body. There are physicians out here only to make a profit and not looking out for the patients' best interest, do your research.... Please!"

For Osteoarthritis "After years of pain, I decided to get relief with 'Euflexxa' shots. Worst decision I ever made. I got my first shot on 11-4-15, and I have been sick with a fever-99.3 - 101.5 since then, and it is now 12-6-15. I went back to the doctor who gave me the 2 shots for the 3rd shot on 11-18-15 and showed him the swelling in my neck, along with the constant fever, muscle spasms, back and shoulder pain, headaches, joint pain, feeling weak, and constant terrible neck pain, so I can't drive. The doctor said that I have had an adverse reaction to 'Euflexxa' as after the first 2 shots my fever spiked within 24 hours. He wouldn't give me the 3rd shot, and told me to apply ice on my neck swelling and allow the 'Euflexxa' to wear off. Horrible nightmare-never again."

For Osteoarthritis "I received my 1st Euflexxa injection today in my right knee. I'm only 30, but have had knee problems since I was 9. I'm now bone on bone in that knee, and my left isn't far behind. I can't have my Fulkerson until the last shot, 6 weeks, so it's either do the shots or live with my pain. I must say, this 1st shot has left me in a world of hurt. The shot itself was pain-free (having used ethyl chloride numbing spray), and I walked out perfectly fine. Here it is, 8 hours later, and my knee hurts worse than it has in a while. I hope after I hit that 2-day mark, it will get better. Only time will tell, though. I just wish they'd tell you the '48-hour pain' could be this severe."

For Osteoarthritis "I had 3 injections a week apart in September 2018 in my right knee. The injections were extremely painful as the Dr. moved the needle around under my kneecap. I think the injections were somewhat helpful but did not entirely relieve my knee pain, especially from a bone spur. I finally had a total knee replacement last month, and I hope I will be pain-free soon."

For Osteoarthritis "I have been in such severe pain with my knee for 1 year. I went to Arizona Sports Medicine in Scottsdale and had it drained 3 times, 4 cortizone shots within 6 months and didn't help. Then I went to Dr. Charles S. Peterson at Arizona Sports Medicine in Mesa. He is the best doctor I have ever been to. He listens to what is going on with you. He suggested I get the Euflexxa series of 3 shots. I was excited and ready to get my first shot. I got the first shot done. He puts a typical numbing on the surface, then gives me the shot. Oh my, it hurt only when he released the liquid from the syringe, and I could barely walk out, I was in tears. It calmed down. Then the second shot felt great, then I will get a third shot. It really works, I'm on my feet."

For Osteoarthritis "I received the first injection of Euflexxa only yesterday. I am in excruciating pain radiating down to my ankle. I can walk without pain now. I am hopeful, but if this doesn't subside, I am in trouble. 51-year-old avid skier, hiker, biker, and I am stuck on the couch. I will update, but as of now, I am very nervous this has made things worse."

For Osteoarthritis "Six months ago, I received my first Durolane injection into my left knee. I had been struggling for almost one year with pain and swelling, and my mobility was very restricted, a challenge with a farm lifestyle plus a full-time job that requires I be able to walk. About 10 days post-injection, I experienced greatly improved mobility. The swelling in the knee gradually diminished, as did the pain. I have had six months of greatly improved mobility. It got better and better over the six months. Now, getting a second injection to maintain the benefits. It definitely was a great solution for me until I get the knee replaced."

For Osteoarthritis "I received my Durolane injection almost two weeks ago. So far, my chondromalacia is worse, and the pain is especially bad at night. Since my doctor refuses to consider any other treatment because my joint is not bad enough, I am going for a second opinion. I just want my life back, and it doesn't look like Durolane is the solution."

For Osteoarthritis "I have chronic osteoarthritis. I have had four knee surgeries, and I am 48. In the past, I had Synvisc One injections. This time, my surgeon administered Durolane. He had to go in twice because he didn't let the freezing sit, and the pain was agonizing. As I'm eight weeks post-op, I had to use crutches to leave, and I'm now on day two. I can bend my knee, but when I go to raise my leg or do any extension, the underneath part of my kneecap feels so tight and bruised I can't lift it or flex it. I'll stay off it one more day. But I'm not sure how to rate this. Knees pretty swollen and in pain. I had the same swelling from Synvisc One, but not the under kneecap pain. My surgeon did it in his office, no ultrasound like I had previously. Anyway, I'll keep you posted. Thanks for reading."

For Osteoarthritis "Was having severe leg pain with 2nd shot, but Dr. gave me 3rd shot without listening to my concerns. 3rd shot disabled my walking for 3 months, lost energy to where I had to rest after taking a shower, unable to walk without a cane or assistance for 3 months, could not put a sock on my foot, as bending at all caused unbearable pain in the groin. Difficulty sleeping with pain without sleep aid. Would never want to experience that again. But, after 6 months, I am able to walk 2 miles daily without knee hurting at all. Primary doc said I had an allergic reaction to the medication."

For Osteoarthritis "Despite the reviews I read about Euflexxa, I received my first injection yesterday. I was scared at first, but I did it anyway. I have an excellent doctor. He explained everything before the injections. He said I would feel the initial stick and then pressure from the medicine going in. He also said I might have swelling and pain at the injection site the next day. I am pleased to report not only did I not feel the pressure, I did not have any pain or swelling at the injection site the next day. When I woke up, I had zero pain in my knee. I am glad I decided to get this injection. I can't wait to see what the second injection will make me feel like."

For Osteoarthritis "I am 28 and have done 4-5 rounds of Euflexxa. So far, it does help decrease pain levels and increase activity. However, this last round, in December, was extremely painful. I am hoping it was weather-related, and not related to the medicine or to my knee getting worse."

For Osteoarthritis "This was a disaster. I had the first injection and the second one and was in pain a lot. After the third one, I ended up in the ER. I almost died, I was throwing up, my heart beating fast. I stayed in the hospital for 5 days. Finally, they found out because of this stupid injection."

For Osteoarthritis "I was given injections in both knees on May 7th. My doc did not give me the injections, his PA did. My first mistake. He hit a blood vessel, and my knee was so disfigured it didn’t even look like a knee. The medication settled in a huge lump for days, and I couldn’t walk on it for 4 days. Fast forward to May 15, and both knees started to hurt again. 4 days ago, I made an 8-hour trip. When I got to my destination, they hurt. I had to climb stairs, so by Sunday, they both had swelled up, including my ankles, and I found a lump below my right knee. Today, I had to go to the ER because the pain is so unbearable I can’t breathe, and mind you, I take strong meds for my back and neck. They didn’t touch the pain! I thought I might have a blood clot due to my calf now having a Charlie horse that won’t go away, my knee to ankle is swollen up so bad my foot doesn’t even look normal. Also, it feels like I have a 12-inch knife sticking out of my knee. Just say NO!"

For Osteoarthritis "BIG RIP OFF. On Jan 4, I went to the “Joint Clinic” under referral of my doctor for a cortisone shot to my knee. I did, and I was suggested by the Joint Clinic doctor to get a Durolane shot also. It was advertised as a miracle temporary remedy, with the cost of $600.00. I said I’d have to think about it, talked with my wife, and we decided to go ahead. I made an appointment for Jan 10. For the whole week after my cortisone shot, my knee felt much better. On Jan 10, I got the DUROLANE shot. I was told that I might get some discomfort for 3-4 days. Well, let me tell you, my knee is in pain and I can’t walk without pain. I was better after I got the cortisone, and I thought I was going to get even better with this “miracle drug.” Now I’m so sorry that I went back for this injection. I WARNED YOU ALL. I know that if you’re in pain, you’re willing to try it, but I’ll guarantee you, you won’t get any relief with Durolane, you’ll actually be in more pain."

For Osteoarthritis "I absolutely hate this drug. Synvisc worked wonderfully for me, but they started recommending Durolane because it is a single dose. Had both knees done, and my left one in particular is terrible. It is swelling, still bruised, and hurts from the hip to the ankle. Why is this drug even on the market? I'm in more pain than I was before. 500 mg naproxen twice a day won't even touch it. If I could use a negative number to review, I would. This pain is directly affecting my job and quality of life."

For Osteoarthritis "I had my knees injected with Durolane on Tuesday, June 4th, 2019. I regret that I ever took this injection to both of my knees. I'm having pain in both knees, much worse than before. The first evening, I felt as if I was not able to walk. My legs and hips are aching. I'm so sorry I did this. Cortisone has helped me in the past and has never caused this kind of pain. The first night, I sat up all night with ice packs and cried due to no relief. I took my prescribed pain medication, and still no relief. It is now 4 days later, and I am still experiencing unusual pain. I have taken Synvisc One in the past and never, ever had such a bad experience. I pray this pain will subside in time. NEVER AGAIN WILL I TAKE DUROLANE."

For Osteoarthritis "I took all three shots of Euflexxa about 10 weeks ago. The shots themselves were somewhat painful, however, tolerable. I have not experienced any relief from the pain of having had the shots done. I still have lots of swelling in my knee, and I'm limping even more."

For Osteoarthritis "Durolane injection into left hip 6 days ago, the second time I've had the injection. More pain than usual for first 3 days post-injection, settling down now, and hip is feeling strong with a 7 km walk yesterday. I was queued up for a hip replacement, but now I see Durolane as a viable alternative, especially in COVID-19 times. Wish the insurance would cover it."

For Osteoarthritis "Had my last of three injections in my left knee on June 2, 2017. I had about a week of minimal pain and some return of movement. Today, June 21, 2017, the pain is about twice as bad as before the injections, and my knee is swelled up so bad it's hard to put on jeans. The swelling has also moved down to my ankle. My left ankle is twice the size of my right ankle. My doctor told me to come back in 6 weeks for a cortisone 'booster' if I still felt pain. If I might need a 'booster', why was this expensive trash recommended in the first place?"
