Precautions

For the first 48 hours after you receive this medicine, avoid strenuous activities or prolonged (more than 1 hour) activities that put a lot of weight on your legs, such as jogging, heavy lifting, playing tennis, or standing on your feet for a long period of time.

Common side effects of sodium hyaluronate

Some side effects of sodium hyaluronate may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects.

Local adverse events

• Common (1% to 10%): Injection site pain/swelling/effusion/redness/warmth
• Uncommon (0.1% to 1%):^[Ref]

Hypersensitivity

• Frequency not reported: Hayfever reaction on face and neck, reaction on forearms and knees
• Postmarketing reports: Anaphylaxis/anaphylactoid reaction^[Ref]

Other

Gastrointestinal

• Common (1% to 10%): Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dyspepsia^[Ref]
