For Osteoarthritis "I love Euflexxa! I've had 5 rounds of it over 5 years. Yes, I'm bone on bone, but still have a bit of space in my knee joint for the medication to get in and be useful. Since I've had 2 orthopods tell me that studies show that knee injections done blind only actually get in the joint space 2 out of 3 times (despite the claimed skill of the doctor in doing injections), I have the Euflexxa injected under fluoroscopy by a radiologist to be sure the medication goes to the correct space (my husband is a radiologist who suggested it this way if I wanted to be sure). Euflexxa is the difference between me being able to walk (limp) 20 feet in severe pain and me being able to walk for long distances for many hours WITHOUT pain. I'm not ready for knee replacement mentally, and this is a wonderful thing. I've never had any reaction and find pain subsides after the 2nd injection and lasts fully for 6 months, and then I start hurting again and need another round at about 8 to 10 months out."

For Osteoarthritis "1st shot I had started relieving my pain of going from sitting to standing. Had 2nd shot yesterday, sitting icing it now. My trainer is due in an hr so we will do upper body only, which is what the ortho said for the day after a shot. I had a torn meniscus repair in December 2013, and my pain started again in March. I thought I had torn it again, but he said nope, bone on bone. So far, so good on this, and I am 62. I am active with my personal trainer 3 times a week for the past 1.5 yrs, and I can't wait to be 100% active again."

For Osteoarthritis "Had first shots in both knees 5 days ago. Almost instant relief. Not 100%, but a very noticeable difference just leaving the drs. office. Also have a recent meniscus tear that the dr. wanted to wait on and see if these shots helped. Staying hydrated before the injections helped the shot pain. A little cold spray and it was almost painless. The only reason I didn't give it a ten is because I don't know the long-term effects."

For Osteoarthritis "I had Supartz injections several years ago with good results. When I moved, the new Dr. said Euflexxa had fewer side effects. This was certainly not the case for me. I was in constant pain and almost a cripple for 6 months. I couldn't walk up stairs or do most of my normal activities. I spent most days on the couch with bags of ice on both knees. Cortisone was useless. There appears to be no treatment for this side effect. I am an active person of normal weight. Both knees are still swollen, but the pain is better than it was. I read that it could be another 6 months before I feel better. I wouldn't recommend this medication to anyone. It's not worth the risk of losing 6 months of your life that you'll never get back."

For Osteoarthritis "My first visit to my doctor for osteoarthritis in both knees, I could hardly walk. I was in so much pain, and the pain was unbearable. I have been getting Euflexxa injections now for almost 4 years. I have absolutely no pain at all. I get one injection in each knee three weeks apart every 6 months. This is a miracle drug. It has kept me very mobile and active. I am almost 81 years old, and last year went back to work in a women's clothing store. Loving our customers and assisting their shopping needs keeps me young."

For Osteoarthritis "I am bone on bone in both knees and decided to get the Euflexxa injections to buy some time before having one replacement. I had a series of 3 injections in October, and I have had worsening pain each day since the last shots. It is now almost February, and my knees have never been worse. I have pain from above my knees to my ankles. My knees feel like they are filled with cement. I used to walk about 3 miles several days per week, and now I can barely walk a block. I can't get out of a seated position without having something to help pull me up, and using the bathroom is a nightmare. Instead of improvement, I am getting worse daily. I would be very happy to be back at my pain level before these injections."

For Osteoarthritis "I am 71 years old with bone-on-bone severe arthritis in the right knee and arthritis in the left knee. An orthopedic surgeon suggested knee replacement three years ago. I started Euflexxa injections at that time and now am relatively pain-free. I have the three-shot treatment every six months. I walk 2 miles daily, do Zumba, and strength training. Hopefully, I will never need a knee replacement."

For Osteoarthritis "Thin 55 y/o runner with bone-on-bone osteoarthritis and lots of pain. Decided to do the 3 injections of Euflexxa. Doctor did the first 2 and had minimal problems with little pain, and a NP did the last without the sonogram for placement of the injection, and it was a very painful experience. I have not been able to walk since then. It’s been 2 weeks, and I’m hoping it gets better soon. Upset that I let the NP do the injection. Given my experience, I will not be doing this again. As mentioned before by others many times, not worth the time & expense. I hope to get back to where I was before the treatment. I’m in a great deal of pain with lots of difficulty walking. Really bummed, for I travel a lot and have great difficulty walking now."

For Osteoarthritis "I am 68 years old and have OA in both knees. I have been nearly bone to bone on the left side. Three years ago, I had so much pain that it was difficult to walk and could hardly stand. I work 8 hours per day on my feet, so my Dr. suggested Euflexxa injections, and I must say they were a miracle for me! I have had them every 6 months in both knees for the past three years, and I have always gotten great results and relief. I have been able to work daily and not miss any time off, as well as work in my yard and chase the grandkids around. I just started another round, and I am having a lot of pain in my left knee, but my right knee is responding as usual, however, it is feeling like I may be facing a knee replacement on the left side. If your insurance will cover this drug, it is well worth the investment. It has bought me several years of mobility and pain-free, even though it may be replacement on the one. I will come back and give an update after the series is complete."

For Osteoarthritis "I'm 57 years old and suffer from moderate bilateral knee osteoarthritis. In October '16, I had to stop taking Celebrex due to gastrointestinal complications from NSAIDs. So, I opted to take Euflexxa injections for my knee pain instead of steroid shots due to a more 'natural' treatment. Two Wednesdays ago, I had my first Euflexxa shot, but the side effects were awful (unbearable knee pain for 4 days, chronic pain for 3 days, joint pressure). I searched on the Internet and found numerous reviews from people that experienced similar side effects. So this past Wednesday, at my appointment for the second set of Euflexxa shots, I explained my experience to the doctor and refused to continue the treatment. Euflexxa didn't work for me and left me more achy and very disappointed."

For Osteoarthritis "I am 66 years old, with bone-on-bone arthritis in my left knee. I had mild discomfort walking, and it took away my favorite activity, walking two or three miles a day. Euflexxa has worked great for me. I asked the doctor if I should return in six months for another series of injections, and he said not necessarily. He said for the patients Euflexxa works for, it tends to work very well and be long-lasting. And hopefully, in a few years, regenerated cartilage will make knee replacement surgery a thing of the past."

For Osteoarthritis "I'm a 43-year-old with a left knee that has osteoporosis. I had my meniscus repaired by surgery. I went to the required physical therapy. Everything was fine until it started hurting and swelling again. The orthopedic doctor then gave a steroid injection to my knee, and my knee got much better, but because I knew that would probably be a temporary relief, I wanted a bit more long-term solution. My doctor then suggested I get the Euflexxa shots. I agreed and was hoping for longer relief. I received one injection, and that was enough for me. My knee was hurting for almost two weeks, I could barely walk, it was swollen, and medication was not giving me relief at all. Now, almost a month later, my knee is not better. It still gets swollen, it hurts, and I can't walk like I used to right before the Euflexxa injection. I regret getting this injection and do not recommend the injection to anyone. It was a waste of money and a waste of time getting it."

For Osteoarthritis "Had my last of three injections in my left knee on June 2, 2017. I had about a week of minimal pain and some return of movement. Today, June 21, 2017, the pain is about twice as bad as before the injections, and my knee is swelled up so bad it's hard to put on jeans. The swelling has also moved down to my ankle. My left ankle is twice the size of my right ankle. My doctor told me to come back in 6 weeks for a cortisone 'booster' if I still felt pain. If I might need a 'booster', why was this expensive trash recommended in the first place?"

For Osteoarthritis "This works for me-usually between 8 to 12 months. Relief has been quick-even after the first injection. I have had this (I think) 5 times. My knee is never perfect, but it significantly delays the inevitable progression of knee fixes-surgery to clean it up, knee replacement, etc. I started when I was 45 years old as bad knees run in the family. The injections can be somewhat painful, and some are very painful-for a few moments at least. It is hard to voluntarily go in knowing it might be intense. BUT-I can walk around and live a fairly normal life by suffering a bit. Well worth it. I'd be in a wheelchair without these things, so I can't complain."

For Osteoarthritis "I am an 81-year-old female and had a right total knee replacement 13 years ago. Began having increasing pain in the left knee several months ago. Completed Euflexxa injections last week and have had a very good response. Occasional discomfort, but mobility is much better, and my quality of life is greatly improved as my goal is to remain as active as possible for as long as possible."

For Osteoarthritis "I had a torn PCL and developed early arthritis in my right knee. Very painful, swollen, could not bend my knee, can't bear weight on that knee. Had 3 shots of Euflexxa in October of last year, since then, I have been pain-free. No swelling. The drug is good."

For Osteoarthritis "I am 49, and my right knee has been hurting for a year. MRI showed no tears, just worn cartilage. Steroid shot gave immediate 100% relief from pain, but only for 2 1/2 months. Dr. gave me the series of Euflexa shots, and the shots were not painful... just a little uncomfortable. But I have had very little relief from pain. I am having to take anti-inflammatory and pain pills, but still not much relief. Scared Dr. is going to have to scope it."

For Osteoarthritis "I’m a 41-year-old with bone-on-bone osteoporosis in both knees. The doctor says my knees look like someone’s twice my age. I had a series of 3 Euflexxa injections in my right knee. They were pretty painful injections, the third being the most painful. But here it is almost 4 weeks since the last injection, and I’m in a worse condition than pre-injections. I was hoping these were going to work, but I’m here to say they’re just a waste of time and money. I do not recommend these injections, and I will not go through the pain again for no result."

For Osteoarthritis "I started using Euflexxa several years ago while training for a half marathon. Having a previous meniscus tear, I wanted to err on the safe side for the training, especially being in my 60s and overweight. About a year ago, I experienced another meniscus tear, and recovery was difficult at best. It was to the point I was begging the Dr. for a new replacement. A second opinion confirmed I was definitely a candidate. I toughed it out. Therapy, exercise, losing 40 pounds, continuous stretching, and massages have paid off. Even though I limp a little and am stiff in the morning, replacement is off the radar. I'm now going back for more injections before the end of the year. They are a little pricey but definitely cheaper than a knee replacement."

For Osteoarthritis "I am 71 years old, and both knees are bone on bone. Total knee replacements are not an option for me. I was getting cortisone shots every few months, and they were helpful. The doctor advised me Euflexxa may help me, and I was given my 1st shot in the office, but with every shot I felt worse. I advised the doctor that the pain was so extreme that I couldn't walk. One week after the 3rd shot, I was given a cortisone injection in both knees, and one week later my left leg swelled up, and I was admitted to the hospital with a flesh-eating disease. I was close to 2 days from death and in surgery within a day to remove the bacteria. I was in the hospital and rehab for almost 4 months and am still in a wheelchair, getting home nurse care and on antibiotics."

For Osteoarthritis "This past Monday was my last shot of "the gel." When I did the first shot, they removed 4 syringes of fluid from my knee before they could inject the gel. By the third injection, almost no fluid, but for me, it has not been a quick pain reliever. The side of my knee still hurts. Feels like someone is stabbing you with a sharp object. For example, it is difficult to press on a car brake. It is stiff when I sit down and painful when I get up. They said it will take 7-8 weeks to have the gel take effect. I hope so."

For Osteoarthritis "Had first series 6 months ago and had to wait the full six weeks for relief. I would say that the pain subsided at that point, but not completely. I have just completed my second series six months later, and the relief was immediate and complete. I am pain-free! Had some headaches at the back of my head, but nothing bad enough that I would not continue with this life-changing experience."

For Osteoarthritis "These injections allowed me to postpone knee surgery for 10 years. They worked great! I was able to continue hiking up hills and taking long walks with no pain whatsoever. They lasted about a year or so each. Towards the end, they stopped working entirely, and I had to have knee replacement surgery."

For Osteoarthritis "I’m a 43-year-old female with osteoarthritis. I’ve had my third Euflexxa injection today. I have not gotten any better, if anything, I'm worse off. I've been off work for weeks on FMLA leave (Family and Medical Leave Act). I pray this takes effect soon. I’ve always been a go-getter, and I feel so trapped having to walk slow, deal with the pain, and that could be unbearable at times. I take nothing for pain, the doctor gives me nothing for pain. I can’t take NSAIDs due to my G.I. issues, and my blood pressure is high at nighttime. It’s horrible. I’m just trying to find a way to live with this the best way I know how. I’ll take any suggestions. I’m ready to get back to work, I wear a brace when I am at work. I need my pain controlled before my blood pressure becomes a REAL problem."

For Osteoarthritis "Osteoarthritis is part of my life in hips, shoulders, ankles, and, most of all, those knees. My knees are bone-on-bone, and cortisone (not good for long term) is not long-lasting. Noting the complications and side effects of total knee replacements, to say nothing of pain and rehab, I am not interested in giving up my golf and life for months. My ortho doc suggested Euflexxa a year ago, and as a last resort, I agreed. I had my third week of injections yesterday, and all I can say is that I have had a HUGE improvement. On a scale of 0-10, my pain was 9.9, and now I am at minimal discomfort around a 3. Hoping it lasts for the full six months. It is wonderful to go up and down stairs forward rather than turning sideways."
