For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm on 2.4 now. Started yesterday and still have pretty bad nausea. It's the worst it's been. Before, it was quite negligible or non-existent. So far, I've lost 21 lbs in 4 months. I was 216, now 195 and I am 5'4'. I still have a long way to go. I started working out and started a vegan diet in January to improve my cholesterol. I know it's tough. I have read so much about it and my expectations were high, like all I need to do is take this injection and the weight will fall off! This will fix all of my problems! I'll find true happiness! But...that's not the case for most people, including me. My provider said that some of her patients have seen no results. She said a 20 lb weight loss is right on track for me and more sustainable than the amazing results some are seeing (though everyone is different). Remember: we are more than our weight. And there is no one answer. If you are taking this and it's not working, it's not you."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’ve been using Wegovy for 12 weeks. I’m up to 0.50 and staying here. Tried 1.0 and it was too strong. Felt nauseous and experienced painful stomach cramps with 1.0. I have reached my goal weight. I lost 35 pounds and I’m very happy with the process and results. The only negative is, I’m on thyroid medication and noticed hot flashes and heart palpitations I didn’t experience before. I had my levels checked and they are way off! Consulting with my doctor. Not sure if I’ll continue Wegovy."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Just took my last injection of month 5, 1.7. I have lost about 25-30 lbs along with 3-5 days a week at the gym. Definitely curbs your appetite. The nausea is very real! Each month I thought it would get easier. It never does. A couple times I puked for hours. Lots of belching. In the beginning, a little constipation. The first day or 2 after the injection, you can feel fatigue. It works for weight loss if you can tolerate the nausea. This will be my last month. I have a 6-month prescription but I can’t deal with the nausea anymore."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started out with .25 mg. I did that for four weeks and only felt slight nausea after the injection. Today, I bumped up to the .50 mg dose, and within five hours I was nauseous. I finally vomited, and I feel better, but have no appetite now. Nothing sounds good. I’m also sleepy. So far, the weight loss is only about five pounds. If I stay nauseated, it’ll probably increase drastically, but what a dumb way to live! I hope it’s temporary. I could be sick once a week and survive if I get decent weight loss. I am also fairly active, and I exercise 4-5 times a week. I don’t have a thyroid because of cancer nine years ago."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Been on Wegovy for 7 weeks. Lost 14 pounds. 2nd week into 0.50 mg. It’s a little rough on my stomach. Taking prescription for nausea which happens the day of the injection. Feel tired and occasionally get severe abdominal pains. I can’t eat much and have to really watch the types of food. No greasy foods or spicy or heavy. The intestinal pains were very severe after eating wrong foods. I’m happy with the weight loss but the side effects are rough."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am in week 10/injection 2 of 1 mg and taking Wegovy for weight loss. I started at 142 kg and am down to 132 kg, which is wonderful. My goal weight is 115 kg as I'm tall and solid build. The side effects, nausea, fatigue, headaches, and some bowel upsets tend to dissipate 3 days after the injection. Avoid big meals and heavy/fatty foods in particular to minimize side effects. Not enjoying food and the social side can be a bit tough, but the results far outweigh any downsides. You actually save money overall due to eating less. I intend to stay the course and highly recommend this life-changing experience."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Wegovy 5 weeks ago. My starting weight was 74 kg, and I'm 67.9 kg. I've experienced great results, with limited side effects - mostly feeling nauseous, but it fades fairly quickly after the injection. I'll take it until I'm at my premenopausal weight, 62 kg. I highly recommend this drug for anyone 40 plus who's struggling to lose the belly fat. I'm currently on a 0.05 dose and don't feel the need to increase any further. My advice: start on a low dose, 0.25, and go from there. See a female doctor who specializes in women's health."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Life-saving, have been on Wegovy for four months now and have lost 42 lbs (am 6'1" and was 297 lbs prior to starting, with obstructive sleep apnea). Currently on 1.7 mg dosage. Has changed my eating habits as well as cravings, I now have better portion control. I have been combining it with 16:8 intermittent fasting, which has also helped. Have noticed I'm drinking less beer/alcohol, as I feel full after two beers. Is expensive (around $370 AUD per month), however, worth every cent, I've found I've been spending less on groceries and takeaways since taking Wegovy. I set myself a 12-month target to lose 77 lbs, and I'm halfway there with 8 months to go and feel great. I have had some occasional nausea (generally at night), but side effects have been minimal. If you can afford it, it’s a great investment in your health and well-being."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Severe reaction to Zepbound, so changed to Wegovy! Doing fine on 5 mg. Mild nausea, but doing okay! Had adverse effects conflicting with venlafaxine, worked through. Definitely have had vision changes as I have had cataract surgery and vision is affected. Yes, I guess I should stop, but I have 2 more months for 6 months of RX, then will quit! Have lost a good 25 lbs."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Beginning weight was 234 and began at 0.25 in June 2024, and just began 2.4 today at 177. Been going up very slowly, but weight loss has slowed way down. Still have 17 pounds to lose, but prefer 27 more. Have gone from 2XL/Size 22 to size 14. Have dealt with nausea, headaches, occasional constipation/diarrhea, depending on what I eat. Small meals, five times a day, plus drinking lots of water is key. I get extremely tired the day or two after taking the shot. I take the shot at night, hoping to be at my goal weight by the end of May 2025. 63-year-old woman and all blood work now within normal limits."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Just started Wegovy. Only 2 shots in at the starting dose. I like it so far. A little nausea at times, but it’s tolerable. I am drinking more water, which I think helps. The food noise is definitely dialed back big time. I do not feel hungry throughout the day, and I am eating about half the amount of food I am used to eating. I was very nervous taking the 1st shot. I am not afraid of needles at all, but I had a mental block thing going on. My recommendation is to do the shot in your arm. It’s easier than the stomach or leg. And if you have a doctor, close friend, or family member to help out, let them help for the 1st shot so you can see how the pen actually works live. The videos are helpful, but in person is much different. Good luck! I will post again in a few months."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for 5 weeks, and I have already seen a decrease in my caloric intake (food record tracking) and a decrease in my appetite, which is helping with food intake. The only problematic side effects I have experienced are some indigestion and nausea in the 2nd - 3rd week of treatment, but this has resolved. I have just bumped up to .5 mL dosage with no issues. I am excited to be on this enhanced weight loss journey and look forward to positive results over the next months!"

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "My experience with Wegovy. - Experienced upset stomach and nausea initially, but these symptoms were manageable. - Lost 32 pounds in six months, with reduced appetite as a significant benefit. - Knee issues have limited exercise, but weight loss has contributed to lower blood pressure. - Monthly cost is around $200, with insurance coverage easing the financial burden. - Wegovy's injection is easy to use and comes with excellent support and reminders."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Wegovy has been a great help. I am on quetiapine and vilazodone for bipolar 2 and gained a significant amount of weight. I could not lose weight no matter what I did. I was also borderline diabetic. Started Wegovy on the smallest dose and worked up to the max dose. I lost weight fast on the smaller dosage, but when I hit the higher doses, my weight loss slowed way down. As of today, 10/14, I have lost 28 pounds. My sugars are all normal, and my cholesterol and blood pressure have been helped too! Wegovy does make me slightly nauseated the day of injection and often the next day too. It's manageable though, and the benefits outweigh the cons."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for 4 1/2 months, and I have lost a total of 37 lbs. I still have the nausea, but it is usually the 2 days after my shot, then by the 3rd day, I only get nauseous if I eat too much. I was wearing a 4x/w26 size, now I'm wearing a 2x/w22, and that size is getting big. My problem is I have a hard time finding the time to exercise. I know I need to, at least for the toning and firming. Keep with it, this stuff works if you use it correctly."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was 182 lbs and have been on Wegovy for about 4 months. I am now 168 lbs. I was quite nauseous at the start and found that by eating a mouthful of plain bread helped with the nausea. I have also been quite tired and although not constipated, my poops are firmer."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Wegovy in April 2023 with a weight of 271 lbs. My current weight is now 233 lbs, and this weight loss is with minimum mobility. I started at the lowest dosage and am now on 2.4. I didn’t experience any symptoms until I reached 1.7, I felt nauseous and fatigued on the first day of injection, but after, I was fine. I definitely eat differently, I cut out the starches like potatoes and pasta, which gave me that overly full feeling, and I have never been a fan of snacks and sweets. I have a new love for fruits and veggies now, though, and I eat mainly protein and veggies. I feel like Wegovy helped me to live a healthier lifestyle when it comes to food choices. On occasion, I may get a craving for something a bit more hearty and treat myself, but Wegovy has definitely helped me to lead a healthier lifestyle as I approach my 40s."

"I am on my 3rd week of the maintenance dose now and have hit a plateau. I've had no problems with us, though I will say that I've questioned if I've gotten the dose because the needle is so small you can't feel the injection, which, I guess, is actually a benefit. I've lost 21 lbs up until now. I've experienced horrid nausea and stomach pain. My appetite is definitely decreased - I only take a few bites of a meal and am completely full. I've many various health issues that keep me from traditional exercise, and I have just had knee surgery, so I am hoping to add an exercise routine in the coming weeks."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "In February of '23, I learned that I had a hiatal hernia where 2/3rds of my stomach was above my diaphragm. The doctor said she could operate, but it wouldn't stay fixed because of my body mass. So my primary care PA suggested Wegovy. I agreed to try it. The first 3-4 days of my first week were rather rough. I had horrible gas, diarrhea, and nausea. I could eat berries and yogurt, but not much else. Over the first 2 months, I lost 12 pounds. Then I plateaued. There also was a mix-up with getting my next 4 doses on time, so I went a couple of weeks with no doses. Most recently, we upped my dose, and now at 1.7 mg, I don't have many stomach problems, but I feel tired all the time. I get up and do a few things, and then I take a nap. And repeat. I had one time when I started to feel dizzy and faint because my blood sugar was low, but a sweet drink and a burrito helped with that. I am still slowly losing weight, which makes me happy! I've lost a total of 18 pounds in about 4 months."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for 2 weeks, and I take my next injection on Monday. After taking my first injection, I was sick and had nausea and vomiting, but it got better. I've lost 8 pounds, but it does make me have anxiety. I am on a low-carb diet, but I've cheated a couple of times. So far, the nausea and vomiting and the anxiety are the only side effects I've had, but I'm sure more side effects will come later."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So far, I love it. Did 0.25 mg for 4 weeks and lost 5 pounds (SW 162; GW 135). I just started the 0.5 mg injection this week. I don't have any of the negative side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, etc. Have had a little heartburn, but manageable with Pepcid AC. It has helped curb my appetite some and helps me control myself not to overeat, but it's not magic. I'm hopeful the appetite suppression will increase as my dosage increases. My only concern is that the 1.0 mg will not be available when I need it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy (2.4 mg) 5 months ago, weighing in at 417 lbs. Today I'm down 82 lbs. Not bad for no exercise and extreme dieting! Wegovy is NOT for the weak! My first dose almost canceled me completely out of the plan! I experienced severe nausea and vomiting the first 3 days, accompanied by fatigue. I felt horrible, but I chose to stick it out after I stepped on the scale and saw amazing results! After the first month, my vomiting stopped, however, if I ate anything that didn't agree with me, it would come up. I still experience nausea, for which I take Zofran to help keep it to a minimum. The most important thing I love about Wegovy is it makes me think about what I'm going to put in my mouth and if I'm even hungry. I have to remind myself to eat a little something, but most of the time I'm not hungry at all. Most of the time, I'll make a plate and only take a few bites, wrap it up for another time. If you are serious about losing weight, Wegovy is the way to go!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took my first shot of 0.25 five days ago. I was extremely nervous about taking it due to all of the negative side effects that I read others have had. I decided to inject in my upper thigh late on a Friday afternoon so that if I did feel sick, I had the weekend to take it easy and deal with it. The injection was painless and very easy to administer myself. I honestly noticed no side effects after taking it, other than not thinking about food as much and wanting to eat a little less. I did push the boundaries on the third evening after taking it, and I did have bad nausea, I actually vomited and felt generally ill for about 16 hours (not bad enough to not work though). I pushed the boundaries by overeating air-fried chicken wings (no sauce) that were a bit more greasy/oily than normal. Those really set me off, and I realized that I: 1. can no longer eat any type of greasy food and 2. cannot eat too much. As long as I stick to my normal healthy, low-carb diet, I feel just fine (so far)."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Starting week 9 with the second injection of 1 mg. I have lost 24 pounds in 8 weeks. The side effects happen about 3 - 4 days a week. The first weekend on 0.25 mg was the worst! I really thought I needed my last rites! I have had headaches, nausea, vomiting, and bowel issues but not like the first-week episode. I try to eat light the day of the shot and take it at night because it makes me tired. You have to stay positive and just buy meds that will help with side effects because the side effects will probably always happen a couple of days a week. Try to drink 1/2 gallon of water a day and stay away from red meat, fried food, fast food, (most) dairy and sugar. If you don't, you will feel sick from eating that stuff. Also only eating one cup of food every couple of hours has made a huge difference in the nausea. Stock up on SF ice pops and SF Gatorade. I am so grateful that I got Wegovy with my insurance and when I want to quit, I just remember how many people would love the opportunity."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started on 0.25 mg. Had some side effects but not enough to stop taking it. Nausea, but not terrible, heartburn which was bad at times, Pepto-Bismol sorted it out (have some on hand). Curbed appetite, but noticed it starting to not be so effective when it was time to up the dose. I am now on 0.5 mg. The third week, and I am on a new dose, and there's a big change. I have heartburn most of the time, especially if I try to eat starchy carbs (1 slice of bread). Nausea here and there, but since I took the third dose of 0.5 mg, I have absolutely zero appetite. I know I should eat, but 1 or 2 mouthfuls of food is enough for me. I lost 12 lbs in the first month and will weigh myself at the end of the second month. Conclusion: if you really can't stop eating, and your health is suffering, speak to your doctor about Wegovy. It's not a magic wand, but will definitely help you. Make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day."
