Orphenadrine for Muscle Spasm "Worst medicine I have ever taken. I took two 100 mg tablets, and after 2 hours, I couldn't read, focus, or swallow. I had tremors that lasted two days and severe anxiety. I felt like I was completely paralyzed, unable to lift my arms. No one warned me about the side effects, and I had no idea it could be this bad."

Orphenadrine for Muscle Spasm "I was prescribed 2 100 mg tablets twice a day for muscle spasms. This is the worst experience I have ever had. Only took 2 in the morning and 1 in the evening. I was up for 3 days straight, jittery, agitated, mildly confused, and spaced out. I had no pain but could not function a normal life on Norflex. I am 120 pounds."

Orphenadrine for Muscle Spasm "Taking this medication was totally not for me. I have suffered anxiety all my life, but it’s controlled on medication, but when I was prescribed this, my anxiety was next level. I’ve never felt so horrible in all my life. I was irritable, nauseous, fidgety, felt like constant panic, tense, and didn’t help my condition at all. Obviously, everyone is different, but it’s not for me and I will never take this again."

Orphenadrine for Muscle Spasm "I have had tight neck and shoulder muscles with cervicogenic headaches for 25 years, along with arthritis in my neck, and have tried everything to ease the pain. I saw a specialist who gave me Norflex. I started on 1/2 tablet (50 mg) once a day for 7 days, and my neck pain reduced dramatically, and I haven’t had any headaches. I then increased the dose to 1 tablet (100 mg) as recommended by my doctor. After the 3rd day, I had a massive panic attack that lasted about half a day. I couldn’t stop shaking and had trouble catching my breath. I felt anxious and agitated. It was very scary, and I ended up in the emergency room for a few hours. I have gone back to the 1/2 tablet, and hopefully my body will adjust to the medication over time, as it’s the only thing that has helped my condition."

Orphenadrine for Muscle Spasm "I can't say it has really made any difference. However, once I started taking 1x 100 mg at night and 1x 50 mg in the morning, my eyesight has been affected, my hands are shaking, and my anxiety is next level. I also can't focus on any daily important tasks. I have herniated disks in my back, hip, and knee pain issues."

For Migraine "I was prescribed this for my migraines and slight muscle spasms. The first day after taking it, I was having frequent urination, dry mouth, dizziness, nausea, hot flashes, and confusion. I continued taking it for 7 days, but the side effects became worse. Nausea turned to vomiting. Eyes became so blurry I couldn't read anymore. My arms and face started getting tremors, and I was having pressure in my face. I started getting extreme episodes of anxiety. I discontinued the medication, and everything has slowly gotten better. It's been about 11 days, and I still am dealing with the nausea, but everything else has almost gone away. Just nausea and tremors still remain."

For Migraine "So I used to take this like once or twice a week as needed, and it would help. But one day I had really bad head pain and was freaking out it wouldn’t go away. I took one pill Friday night, Saturday I took one in the morning and one at night, then Sunday morning. By Sunday afternoon, all of a sudden I couldn’t see properly, it was freaking me out. Then by Sunday night, I had intense anxiety-like I suffer from anxiety but never ever like I did with this med-and it lasted 3 days, with INTENSE panic attack for 27/4. I can’t even explain. After a few days, the intense anxiety lifted but turned into just regular anxiety, and all the while, I got this weird lightheaded dizzy feeling in my head. I still have the anxiety and lightheadedness, and it’s been 2 weeks. I’m praying it goes away soon. I guess from taking so much this all happened because I would take it once or twice a week and never experienced the feelings I got. Never taking another one again though."

For Muscle Spasm "I was prescribed this orphenadrine on Saturday after going to the ER for what I thought was a torn muscle. Had significant pain in my shoulder area. I took 1 Saturday, 2 Sunday, and 2 on Monday. Within that time frame, my anxiety levels increased, I was hallucinating (feeling 'cancerous lumps' on my body all over, extremely lightheaded at all times, and I got a horrendous migraine). I skipped Tuesday morning's pill and I ended up looking up the side effects Tuesday night, and it all made sense. Here I am Wednesday, still not taking this pill, and I am still having anxiety issues and experiencing the lightheadedness. Also, this didn't even help my pain. Ended up getting a cortisone shot Monday. The only plus side to this was that it made me sleepy. Watch out for the side effects!"

Orphenadrine for Muscle Spasm "I had chronic lower back pain for several months, which was muscle-related and spread to my abdomen over time. I was prescribed Norflex. On the first day, it didn't do much. On the second day, I took it again and then, at the end of the day, had a dissociative episode and the start of anxiety, almost like a panic attack was about to kick off. I had battled anxiety for several years and weaned myself off Paroxetine nearly a decade and a half prior, so it felt like it was all coming back. I Googled after and found a side effect is... anxiety. Be careful if you are prone to this."
