Errin (norethindrone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I switched to this Errin birth control pill from Yasmin because of migraines and regret it completely. This pill is costing me a fortune in pads and tampons because my period now lasts three weeks. I thought it was because I had to get used to it, but it’s been six months now. The issue is not floundering in dosage times. I’ve taken every pill at the same exact time for the past ten years. Everyone’s body is different, so if you feel it’s right for you, then good, enjoy it. If you’re having three-week-long periods, stop taking it."

Errin (norethindrone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My ob/gyn prescribed this pill to mitigate the perimenopausal menstrual flooding I was having. Took it consistently with some errors in time here and there. At first, the period got lighter, but by month 3, I only had 5 days where I wasn't bleeding every day. I changed the time of day I took the pill from PM to AM. Two days after doing that, I had a horrible experience-my uterus released almost 1/4 or 1/3 of a cup of what looked like liver. ENORMOUS blood clots that filled the entire pad with a bloody, pulpy mess, I thought I'd had a miscarriage. I kept releasing these clots plus heavy flow the rest of the day. I stopped taking the pill at that point, and since then I've had 3 straight days of flooding-soaked through my pad, underwear, and bled all over my pants in 4 hours. I can't leave the house, it's been a nightmare. This pill made a not-great situation worse, and I don't recommend it for perimenopausal women with heavy bleeding issues."

Nora-Be (norethindrone) for Birth Control "I love this birth control! I have struggled since I was 16 with finding a birth control that was right for me. I have had so many issues with abnormal bleeding, mood swings, weight gain, etc., and have not liked the fact that the long-term effects of birth control can lead to heart disease, blood clots, and more. This birth control has changed my life. I have lost all of my mood swings, I feel so much better in general, I have lost weight, and most of all, ladies, my sex drive is THROUGH THE ROOF. Not that me or my husband are complaining. It's been a very nice thing. All you have to do is take it every day at the same time. And no matter how busy your schedule, you can set a simple alarm on your phone. Try this pill! You won't regret it!"

Errin (norethindrone) for Birth Control "First, I'll say I was VERY worried about taking this after reading reviews. I'm on my second month of taking Errin, and it's gone well so far. I have not taken any meds (before this) in over 15 years, I'm 31. But after getting married, I needed birth control because we have enough fur children and don't want human ones. I really haven't noticed any major side effects. I have had somewhat tender breasts, and I did break out my first week on this, but it may have been the stress of getting married, it cleared up fine now. I don't notice any change in mood, weight, or anxiety (I have had anxiety for a while). My period is normally 28 days on the dot, with very occasional one or two day differences. My period came 2 days early after taking this (I started the pill day 1 of my period). I do notice darker periods with more clots, but other than that, it's about the same. Overall, I'm happy with this pill, especially after reading a lot of other reviews and feeling so worried!"

Nora-Be (norethindrone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This is the most awful birth control pill I’ve ever taken in my entire life, and I’ve tried several. I took it exactly on time every day for one week. Starting with day 3, I had a constant headache, nausea, acne, pain in my legs, generalized pain in my body (back, joints, etc.). By day 5 I was bleeding a little, then by day 7 I was bleeding a LOT - like if someone just drew blood straight from my arm and dumped it in the toilet. It wasn’t even like normal period blood, it was so bright red and thin. And on top of the other symptoms, I was dizzy and had cramping, too. It also gave me intense hot flashes and a slight fever, I was sweating practically all the time, and I would wake up several times a night. AWFUL! I would absolutely never recommend this pill to anyone. If I could give it negative stars, I would."

Errin (norethindrone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've been on this for 3 months now, and the first month was fine, but after the first month I have had 4 periods within 5 weeks, and each is 5-6 days. I have a 3-4 day break from bleeding, but then it starts up again. I've never experienced this before taking this birth control, and I'm done taking it."

Ortho Micronor (norethindrone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This medication was amazing at the beginning, but now it has caused severe moodiness and abnormal uterine bleeding. (I've had 2 full periods in 3 weeks) and some days I start spotting and get cramps even though I take my pills on time."

Errin (norethindrone) for Endometriosis "Errin is a medical miracle. I have been off birth control for quite some time and have started this wonderful medication. My sex drive is up, I feel so much energy, I'm excited for my husband to come home. So far, no bleeding or spotting. And I have been urinating like crazy, so it looks like I am dropping a ton of water weight. I'm excited to see what next month holds as far as my period goes. Thank you for whomever made this drug. My husband and I love you."

Norlyda (norethindrone) for Endometriosis "I’ve been on Norlyda (norethindrone) for almost 2 months now. My doctor prescribed it to help with my severe periods due to endometriosis, and I was bleeding insanely badly and having severe cramps. Ever since I started this, I have yet to have a period. I take it at the same time every day, the most I’ve gone is 12 minutes past my pill time. The only side effects I've had were some acne for the first couple of weeks, but now my skin has stayed clear, my breasts are slightly smaller, I am slightly more bloated (but I do have IBS and endo), and I had some trouble sleeping for like the first 2 weeks, but nothing crazy-just had a hard time falling asleep. I have depression and anxiety, and this medication has not affected it. I think the key to this pill is taking it at the same time every day. So far, I would rate it 10/10."

Nora-Be (norethindrone) for Birth Control "DON'T LET THESE REVIEWS SCARE YOU! Every one is different. 9 times out of 10 people who like this pill won't even share their experience, it's just the ones who don't like it! It's great. I'm 24 and have had no period, no symptoms whatsoever. I'm already on anxiety meds, but I don't take them and this doesn't change a thing in my mood. I'm fine 100%. I love this PILL - no weight gain either. Happy pill hunting!"

Camila (norethindrone) for Birth Control "I love this pill. I was on Sprintec before this, and that one was terrible! This pill has been good for me. I’ve lost around 10 pounds. I was 124 when I started it, and 7 months later, I am now at 116. I have no acne (only on my period), and my skin and hair look the same. My cramps aren’t as bad, and I only get my period once a month between day 27-31, and it only lasts for exactly 5 days. At first, I had irregular periods for about 3 months, and now it’s getting on a schedule. I don’t feel depressed or sad or annoyed. I actually have PMDD, and this hasn’t made it worse, it’s helped, if anything. I do get massive migraines, but that's nothing medicine can’t fix or a nap. I do get tired a lot, and I haven’t been eating as much as I used to. Overall, it’s a great pill choice, and I recommend it for anyone whose body can’t take estrogen like mine."

Errin (norethindrone) for Birth Control "Just a disclaimer that everyone’s body reacts to medicine differently, but this birth control pill Errin has been PERFECT for me! I have tried two other medicines before this and experienced horrible nausea and migraines, plus it wasn’t helping or controlling my painful periods at all. My doctor said this was due to an estrogen sensitivity. As soon as I switched to Errin, not only has my skin been nicer, I’ve had ZERO side effects, I haven’t had my period in like four to five months, I haven’t experienced any bleeding, spotting, or cramping since I started, and I’m happy. It is amazing, it seems too good to be true! It’s totally changed my life and the amount of pain I had, and I look forward to continuing to use it. If you notice similar symptoms as me, then definitely chat with your gyno about Errin!"

Heather (norethindrone) for Birth Control "I was taking this contraceptive as a replacement for the one I was on. My CNP told me I was at high risk for a heart attack being on the other birth control with my blood pressure med. Started taking it and my period became longer, 5-7 days. I was so used to a 2-3 day period. After 4 months on Heather, I was bleeding very heavy to the point I became scared. I was going through a heavy flow tampon every hour. I would have a 7 day period, stop for a week and then wham, another 7 days. Every other week, a damn period! One month, I bled for 18 days straight, had a four day break and voila, another full 11 day period. I was miserable and spent more money on feminine products in 9 months than I had ever in my previous birth control experience of 2 years. Acne, so fun at my age of 48. And, the worst side effect I noticed - arthritic aches in every joint. I could barely move in the morning. I discontinued recently and feel wonderful!"

Errin (norethindrone) for Birth Control "Just finished my first pack and was nervous reading these reviews. I lost 4 lbs this month through my regular diet and exercise, and the pill did not seem to affect that. I do not have any acne, and my hair is planted firmly in my head. I have not experienced so much as a spot or cramp. The only thing I did notice was a headache that lasted for about 30 minutes the first day and slightly decreased appetite in general. I much prefer this over my previous IUD."

Heather (norethindrone) for Birth Control "Read reviews, but thought... hey, everyone is different, so it may help. YEAH RIGHT. I’m on month 3, and my periods are horrible. I was put on Heather to regulate them, but it’s made my days longer. I was originally 6-7 days a month, now I’m 11-15 days. I’m already anemic and was hoping this would be the answer. Not to mention acne. It’s awful. I’ve never had acne. Tender breasts for 2 months, mood swings & depression. Crying for no reason. I’m discontinuing this."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was prescribed norethindrone from the pill club due to being estrogen dominant. I suffered badly from heavy bleeding, so I decided the pill was the best option. I took the pill, and the bleeding immediately stopped. I could almost cry. Until two weeks later of consistently taking the pills. Now I’m bleeding so heavy, like a period, and it won’t stop. These pills are supposed to prevent a period, and I started them to avoid this. Now I’m cramping and crying because I can’t stop bleeding. I know breakthrough bleeding is normal, but not like this. I wish I never started this stupid pill. I’ve just decided to get my uterus removed and my ovaries. I don’t want to deal with period problems anymore. This pill didn’t help. Avoid."

Errin (norethindrone) for Birth Control "Errin has been an absolute lifesaver for me. My periods used to make me miserable. I was depressed and anxious for the two weeks leading up to my period. Not to mention, I had migraines that were extremely painful. I decided it was time to regulate my period and got put on Errin. The first few months did have side effects (tender boobs, irritability before my first period, and really huge migraines before each period), but those went away after a while. Now, my periods do not make my mental health spiral in the slightest. I feel so much better! My periods still come regularly, less cramps, less migraines, almost no PMS. The only downside to Errin, for me at least, is that I have to remember to take it at the same time every day. Not only do I not want my mental health to spiral, but I also don't want a baby! So if you're bad at being punctual with meds, this pill isn't for you!"

Errin (norethindrone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been on Errin now for almost 3 months. I used to get my period every 20 days, which was too frequent for me, lasted 3-4 days. Now, I am bleeding every day, granted, some days it's just spotting. I am officially quitting today, yesterday, I started bleeding so heavily that I filled my overnight pad in less than an hour, and there was heavy clotted blood. I had never experienced this before. I read about breakthrough bleeding, but I can't anymore. I didn't gain weight, I didn't get acne, and my hair is the same. I am 38 yrs old. Everyone is different, but this is my unpleasant experience."

Errin (norethindrone) for Birth Control "I tried this pill 2 different times. First time, I had brown spotting for over a month, so I stopped. I tried it again about a year later (currently on it), and I'm having a better experience. I spotted brown for only about a week when first starting, and I haven't had any issues with it since unless I'm taking it late. You need to be SUPER consistent with it (which you probably already know); if you can do this, then this is a great pill. I know it says within 3 hours, but any later than 10 minutes (for me), and I start spotting for a couple of days. But I get NO nausea or other big side effects that I can notice. And hey, I'm not pregnant yet. So I'd say it's doing its job."

Jolivette (norethindrone) for Birth Control "I've been taking Jolivette for three months now, and couldn't complain about it. I used to have crazy irregular periods, for instance, the month before I started, I had a 10-day cycle, which meant two and a half periods in a calendar month, and the time before was 50 days. Since taking Jolivette, I haven't had a single period. No cramping, bloating, weight gain, mood swings, nothing. In fact, I've lost weight. It's also great because I no longer get migraines as opposed to being on an estrogen pill. Would recommend it to anyone."

For Endometriosis "My ob-gyn started me on norethindrone following laparoscopic surgery to remove a 9 cm endometrioma from my right ovary and a 5 cm one from my left ovary. During the procedure, I was also diagnosed with Stage 3/4 endometriosis. I do not want to have a full hysterectomy as I am only 34 years old. I also did not want to do Lupron shots or take Orlissa. Since being on the mini-pill birth control, my moods have changed for the better, I am less irritable, and my anxiety/panic attacks aren’t soaring through the roof as much either. My first period on this medication was a lifesaver. I wasn’t reaching for the ibuprofen or acetaminophen like I normally would without being on anything. My period lasted 4 days (usually lasts 7 days). It has helped me become regular with bowel movements, and I’m less bloated. I also don’t feel as fatigued, and I have fewer migraines (when a migraine does come on, it isn’t as bad as they usually are). I have no complaints thus far with this birth control."

Errin (norethindrone) for Birth Control "Just giving a positive review to break up all the negativity lol. I know hormones work differently for everyone, though. For me, this has been great. I switched to Errin after being on depo for years. I had zero issues with the depo and loved it too. The only issue was it gave me a lower sex drive, and my pharmacy never had it in stock. The Errin has restored my sex drive (woohoo!). Intimacy feels better, and I've had no side effects. The only downside is I never got my period on depo, and now on Errin, I sometimes get a light one lasting 2-4 days. Definitely manageable, though. I'm loving this, and I think the key for me is to stick with progesterone-based BC."

Ortho Micronor (norethindrone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "After multiple surgeries, office procedures and tests done on me, the results show low progesterone. My doctor put me on this pill. For the last two months and now going into my third pack of pills, I no longer have heavy, long periods. I do recall that missing a dose or taking my pill late caused me to have a period, spotting, or long, heavy periods. Now, I make sure I take them every day at the same time. So far, it works and I have not had a period or spotting in about 35 days. I am not pregnant; occasionally, I get a light headache or feel a little dizzy and realize that I need to eat something. After I eat, the light headache and slight dizziness go away. I've lost weight instead of gaining weight from the pill."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was diagnosed with a uterine fibroid and bled extraordinarily heavy for 2 weeks straight; saturating an overnight maxi every hour for two weeks. Finally, I ended up needing a blood transfusion, and the on-call OBGYN prescribed this norethindrone to help slow the bleeding. No joke, it completely stopped within 24 hours! I do have some bloating, a moderate headache, and some uterine cramping, but it's definitely better than bleeding nonstop and paying a small fortune in feminine products!"

Aygestin (norethindrone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was put on Norethindrone 5 mg up to three times a day. I take it twice a day right now. I've been on it for almost three months now. This is my last option or I have a hysterectomy. I'm 32, I am trying to put that off. TBH, this works for me. Here are the side effects I have had. I do get night sweats, I do get occasional cramping, but only at night, and yes, they are like period cramps, but nothing like I was having. I can't even have one glass of any type of alcohol without getting sick, and I cannot skip a dose to drink, so that's all off the table. I do get random spotting, and it lasts maybe a couple of days. It's not too bad. I cannot go without eating on this, or I get really ill. I have gained some weight, which birth controls are notorious for doing to women, so it's a common one. 7. Sometimes you do get mood swings, but any hormone, including regular birth controls, can cause this. It's something you just need to work on, realizing it’s happening and then trying to manage the situation."
