Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have had a yeast infection for about 3-4 days before getting any kind of medication for it and can say that the skin on my vagina had started to peel from irritation and me scratching. I tried all the “natural healthy ways” at home to fix it, but it only burned more, got more swollen, or tingled. I got some Monistat and put it in, used the anti-itch cream, and I feel better. More frequent peeing, which I guess is my body helping the medicine out of my system. I’ve used Monistat for years since I was in high school - no problems."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I experienced relief from the itching within a couple of hours, so I know it worked. However, it has made my skin irritated and inflamed. The exterior cream gave me a terrible burning and tingling sensation that lasted for days, even after repeated efforts to wash it off. Next time I will just go to the doctor and try to get a prescription because this isn't worth it."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "First time getting a yeast infection and I had no idea what it was. After 3 days of scratching, I went to my doctor and they told me to get this medicine. It worked great! There was a slight burning and tingling the first two days, but that was because the area was raw and inflamed. Definitely would recommend this product!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so last year, I took Monistat 1 when I thought I had a yeast infection (turned out to be BV), and my god, it burned so much. Anyway, I took metronidazole, and it went away. I say this because I had a yeast infection this week diagnosed by my doctor, took Monistat 1, and it didn't burn at all. For the women that this medication burns for, you might not have a yeast infection. Do not self-diagnose, go to your doctor and have them check you for BV and yeast. They have similar symptoms, but you won’t know until they test it. If you need diagnosis that day, have them check your sample under a microscope and do a pH test. If your pH is way off, it’s BV, and if it’s normal, it’s probably a yeast infection. Trust me. This medication is not supposed to hurt. It does tingle at times, but it’s not supposed to be insane. If you actually have a yeast infection, don’t be scared to use this. I just took it yesterday, so I don’t know if it works, but I’ll post an update in a couple of days."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I didn’t read the reviews before I got this product. This is my first night using the product, after I put the tube in. I'd say about 3-5 minutes in, I felt some tingling down there. It started heating my walls like ping pong balls. I can still feel the tingling, but no itching (thank God). I had to take some pain relief because I do not want to wake my husband up. Wear cotton underwear and one pad, because if the ladies say it’s draining, that is going to hurt more - they ain’t lying. While writing this review, the tingling had stopped, maybe because of the pain relief. Who knows, lol."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used it before and it works, so I'm back. Inserted about 4 pm, it's now 11:30 pm. Besides a slight tingle, so far, so good. Itching actually decreased. Definitely will get a better night's sleep tonight. For me, it really is not that bad."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So this was my first time buying YI cream from the store because my doctor usually prescribes it, but since I self-diagnosed myself, I figured why wait to go to the doctor for her to tell you what you already know. So I asked the pharmacist what YI cream would be the best, and she told me Monistat 7. The first night I used it, my vagina immediately started tingling. I’m like, okay, this starts to work instantly, but boy, it is painful. I’m on day 3, and the side effects have not let up one bit. But I think I’m gonna just go ahead and finish the whole 7 days so I can have a YI-free vagina."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I had a pretty bad yeast infection and decided to try the natural route (garlic clove and yogurt). Well, I think I caught it too late, so I picked up Monistat 3. The burning and itching was horrendous from the infection. I used the external cream and there was a little burning, but that distracted me from the itch. It went away after a few minutes. When I inserted the suppository, I experienced a little bit of tingling. The itch stopped almost instantly, and I haven't felt any burn yet (70 minutes in). I know yeast infections really irritate your external parts, so when I inserted the suppository, I pushed it as far into my vagina as possible to reduce contact with my outer parts. This may be why it didn't bother me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Recently tried a generic OTC miconazole 3-day cream. I think the formula has changed. The packaging has - avoid the purple-capped applicators! I got a mild YI after a round of antibiotics from surgery. I started using an older box that I had not finished and that I purchased a little while back. The expiration date wasn't until 2018, so the product was still fine. I applied the cream and felt the regular tingling and burning sensation that lasted 5 to 10 minutes. It was okay. I started to run out and bought a new box. What I thought would be the same 3-day medication. This was NOT. I inserted the purple top-filled applicators, and my vagina was on FIRE. The external cream burned even worse. Tried washing it out. Damaged, swollen, painful vag."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so I'm only on Day 2, but I had a mild yeast infection and decided to get this 3-day medication. Day 1, there was a little tingling for about an hour, and it went away. I woke up, and it seemed as if the YI was gone. Perfect! Right? Wrong. Here I am on Day 2, and the itching is unbearable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I recently had a strange odor from my vaginal region - not a foul odor, just an odd, strong beer-like smell, itchiness, and slight burning when I urinated. I went out and purchased a UTI check strip to make sure I didn't have any bacteria or an abnormal pH, as well as the Monistat 3. I used it per instructions, only had very minor tingling and burning, not necessarily uncomfortable, just enough to notice, oh wow, my vagina is having some sensations. After day 3, all my symptoms were gone. So it worked for me, unsure why so many women are having issues? Maybe it is BV or an STI versus a YI."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I went to my doctor, and she gave me fluconazole, and it didn't do anything. I itched so bad I was bleeding, and I was scared to use this because last time I used Monistat, I felt like I was sitting on a volcano, it was so bad. (I found out I didn't have a yeast infection, I had a UTI that time). Anyway, I just used this cream and nothing. No burning, no pain, just a little tiny tingles here and there, which is shocking, but as of right now, I'm okay."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "After being on antibiotics 3 or so times in the last couple of months... I've been struggling with a YI for a couple of days now, and I don't think I've had one this bad. I was treating the symptoms of the itching and assisting with burning. Once the discharge presented itself, I sprung for the Monistat 1. I inserted the ovule about 30 minutes or so ago and used the cream. First things first, never using that cream again. Made my bits burn, that's for sure. As for the ovule-it's definitely doing something up there. Lol. Feels kind of warm and tingly, and not in a good way, lol. I've stayed lying down, so I have not yet noticed any discharge yet. I'm going to get some sleep and see how it is when I wake up."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I’ve had a yeast infection before, so I knew the signs. As soon as I started feeling that weird irritation, I knew. I went and got the 3-day. I’ve had my first application in for about 1 hour, and it’s a little tingling but nothing that isn’t too uncomfortable. I should be able to sleep peacefully (hopefully). I do know that right now the little tingling that I’m feeling is way better than the itching and burning I was feeling earlier. Oh, the joys of being a woman."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Currently soaking in the tub. I just wish I would’ve seen these reviews in advance before purchasing. Due to currently being on my menstrual cycle, I believe I’m unable to see a gynecologist. So this brand was recommended by a firsthand user who has used it years ago and it helped. As I’m not familiar with this product nor can I say what ingredients have been added/removed within the past few years, I can’t compare uses. However, what I do know is that no product should cause this much discomfort. It’s sad to say I’ve experienced the same symptoms of unbearable pain inside my lady area after inserting the cream. Not even ten minutes afterward, my area began tingling, then came a burning sensation before hell broke loose. Immediately, I removed the cream from my inside. I’m not allergic to anything. Can’t think of an explanation for why this would react in such a way unless it’s expired, even though it states the expiry of 2019. I’m for certain there is something wrong with it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This isn’t my first time having a yeast infection, but this is my first time using Monistat 1-day ovule. Very easy to insert, which is a plus, BUT the burning is very difficult to get through. I felt a slight tingle, then after 30 minutes of letting the ovule dissolve and using the restroom, the burning increased heavily. I read many reviews, good and bad. The good ones really helped. The greater the burning sensation and itchiness, the worse the yeast infection is. GREAT product, but MOST DEFINITELY has its cons."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "When I first used Monistat 1, the minute I inserted that egg, it started to tingle. Then it increased to a burning sensation, after that, I was squirming and crying with a bag of ice on my vagina. I tried to take the egg out, but it had already melted. The itching and burning from the Monistat 1 got so severe that I had to go to the ER. As soon as they injected medication into my IV line, all the pain and burning went away. I had been in so much pain! The second time I got YI (I get them often, as I’m a diabetic), I decided to try Monistat 3. It itched more than it burned. It’s so much more tolerable. I do have thoughts of going to the ER because the itching gets very intense, but it’s not as severe as the Monistat 1."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve had a yeast infection before and used Monistat 3 and had no negative symptoms. However, I figured I’d use Monistat 1 because it would work faster (at least I thought). The Thursday night I inserted the medication, I felt tingling and itching immediately. I figured it was just the medicine doing its job. All night I tossed and turned from being so uncomfortable. The next morning, I woke up in excruciating pain and discomfort. I felt like I inserted icy-hot into my vagina. It was difficult to even walk. I was hoping this torture would only last one day, but the itchiness and burning lasted around 4 days for me. Every day of showering, I’d attempt to wash out as much of the medication as I was able to without hurting myself more. And yes, just touching the skin was painful, I had almost thought I had a chemical burn. Please DO NOT buy Monistat 1!!!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I had a UTI, and I’ve been on an antibiotic, and I started to feel like I was getting a YI, so my aunt told me to go get a Monistat 1 Combination Pack, so I did. I inserted it and had it in for probably 5 minutes, then I started to feel kind of tingly and weird in my vag, so I looked up reviews, read a few on here of how awful it was, and I ran to the bathroom and dug the darn thing out. I was like, I don't need to be burnt down there, lol!"
