Methocarbamol for Muscle Spasm "On Christmas 2019, I was subjected to the Heimlich Maneuver after a piece of roast beef swallowed wrong caused me to choke and wheeze. I couldn't breathe. Luckily, there was a waiter who knew the Heimlich Maneuver. He saved me. Unfortunately, I ended up with extreme bruising and pain in my chest. X-rays determined I did not have any actual rib fractures. My doctor prescribed 750 mg tablets of Robaxin, taken 4 times a day. When I first took it, it made me rather groggy. That feeling lasted for a few hours. And it did upset my stomach somewhat. The Robaxin did not make my pain go away completely but lessened it enough so I could relax and feel fairly comfortable. The pain became an annoyance rather than agony. My health insurance plan didn't cover it, and I'm sure the side effects will lessen as I get used to having the medication in my system."

Methocarbamol for Muscle Spasm "I have been taking Robaxin for spinal stenosis, degenerative disc, lower back pain, muscle spasms, and migraines. I've been on it about a week now, and this medication is horrible! It does not help at all. I'm still in pain all day, every day, my migraines have been getting worse, and it upsets my stomach, so I stopped taking it. My migraines subsided, and I have been able to eat properly."

For Muscle Spasm "I took my first dose today around 4 pm to help ease tension in my neck that caused a terrible 3-day migraine. The first two (prescribed by a doctor) made me sleep only two hours when I was supposed to be out for 6 hours. I still had the migraine, of course, and it didn't have any negative side effects, nor did it help that first time, so I took one more 5 hours later as I was getting ready for bed. It is currently putting me through hell because of nausea, an upset stomach, and now I can't even fall asleep. I'm feeling the heaviness in my chest that others have mentioned previously, and I'm scared of what the initial migraine is going to bring me when this BS wears off :("

For Muscle Spasm "I was prescribed this after a car accident and have found that it does nothing to relieve the pain or muscle stiffness, and it either doesn't relieve headaches or causes them, as well as stomach discomfort."

For Opiate Withdrawal "As an opiate addict for about 10 years with a nasty addiction, this drug helped aid in the withdrawal/opiate detox. Needless to say, it still wasn't easy. This made those long painful nights just a little more tolerable. It helped with the muscle pains where other opiate substitute medications failed me. Also, I didn't feel the need to continue taking these once the opiate addiction was driven down to a tolerable rate. As for the upset stomach, I just tried to keep healthy foods in my diet and that slowly went away. This medication didn't help in that regard. I had no side effects."
