For Bowel Preparation "After the worst experience of my life, I feel the need to express my opinion. I’m sitting here without getting my colonoscopy this morning. I’ve had two over the years, so I knew what to expect. Within fifteen minutes, I was power puking the stuff up. The next few minutes, it was both ends. After shaking and sweating, it eased, so I tried again in four hours, and it was the same results. Still sick today. Now I have to wait two weeks to do the colonoscopy with other medications. I would not recommend."

For Bowel Preparation "Just turned 60 and had not had a colonoscopy in 10 years. Read the reviews and really scared me. It is what it is, and it needs to be done. Took my 1st dose at 7 pm the night before. Mixed it as directed. Used a bit of Crystal Light and drank it super cold. No straw used. Not too bad. Taste was not great, but no gagging as I've read here. Took about 1 1/2 hours to work, and the waterfall began. About 2 hours of really close bathroom time needed. I agree on the use of diaper cream, much needed. Took the 2nd dose at 7 am the day of the procedure. Worked faster, but not as intense. My test came out a-OK. Mind over matter, people. Nothing to fear but fear itself."

For Bowel Preparation "I’m in complete disbelief that the general good reviews of this poison are real. I threw up 3 times and couldn’t finish the 2nd half of my prep. I have broken capillaries in my face and got a bloody nose from puking my stomach juices out. A prep for a colonoscopy does NOT go this way. I didn’t ask any questions or Google anything when the DR gave me SUPREP. I trusted him. Yeah, there was a lot of bathroom time, fine. The taste is vile. You could mix it with a million dollars and it wouldn’t be consumable. Somebody is getting paid to push this stuff, maybe they should drink it. I rated it effective because it works, you get cleaned out."

For Bowel Preparation "I can tolerate a lot, but this stuff made me gag!!! It took all my effort not to throw it up! I’m not sure I could go through this again! I must say that it works great. But I think I would opt for the ‘old’ way if I had to do it again. Even the thought of the taste of it makes me gag!!"

For Bowel Preparation "The risk for this prep is too high! Nausea/vomiting are listed as both a bad and general side effect. There's little indication of the difference. Almost 30 hours after starting the prep, I ended up in the hospital with a sodium count near critical levels. The colonoscopy was successfully performed 16 hours after prep started. Continuing nausea prevented adequate replenishment of fluids and electrolytes post-procedure. NEVER AGAIN!"

For Bowel Preparation "Some people have the experience, and they say, 'Oh... it's not that bad....' This is the worst experience I've ever had in my life! For me, it really is that bad. I remember gagging and throwing up and trying to get this nasty salt water/fake cherry thing down.... It was just awful! I don't know why this product even exists! No one should have to endure this kind of suffering... I thought I was going to be the end of me!"

For Bowel Preparation "I just returned home from my colonoscopy. It went great! The doctor said my prep was a 9 out of 9 - it was perfect. Some tips: Get your doctor to prescribe Zofran (anti-nausea pill) to take an hour before each dose of Suprep. I had absolutely no nausea or vomiting. I refrigerated the prep and also used cold, bottled water. I think what helped me the most was a lemonade slush from Sonic. I held my nose and gulped down 6 swigs of the prep, followed by some slush. I swished the slush around in my mouth before I swallowed, and it removed all taste of the prep. I would then wait about 30 seconds and repeat. It took 5 minutes to drink all the prep. I then took the entire hour to sip/drink some more lemonade, Sprite, and chicken broth. I repeated again at 3 am - making sure I had saved half my Sonic frozen lemonade. Zofran, holding my nose while drinking, and especially the lemonade slush made it tolerable. The taste of Suprep is gross, but like someone else said, I’d rather prep for a colonoscopy than chemotherapy!"

For Bowel Preparation "Suprep works very well for the purpose for which it is intended. I have used it several times for colonoscopies, and the doctor has been pleased with the results. The taste is horrible... salty-sweet, nothing like chocolate-covered pretzels though, LOL. I truly felt like I wanted to vomit while I was drinking it, but it’s a necessary evil since my mom died of colon cancer. For about three hours after starting the first prep, I recommend staying very close to your bathroom. Also, if you feel the urge to pass gas, DON’T! Get to the bathroom as quickly as possible instead; you’ll be glad you did. All in all, this is a foul-tasting preparation that does a very good job."

For Bowel Preparation "I have had 20 colonoscopies or so and have had mostly Golytely 4 liters in the past. Hands down, this is the easiest prep I have ever had to do. Doing a split prep was awesome, and in the past, I had nausea, vomiting, and severe pain. With Suprep, I didn't even cramp. Clear liquids the day before the procedure helps. I would pay full price for this, you have no idea how much better it is than what has been available in the past."

For Bowel Preparation "Suprep was not as disgusting as some people said in their reviews. While not pleasant, it was tolerable. I mixed the medicine with Sprite and, using a funnel, poured the container contents into an empty 16 oz. water bottle. I used a straw to drink the mixture. After taking each few big sips, I ate a big bite from a popsicle to erase the taste. I then waited 5 or 10 minutes and did the very same thing over and over until the bottle was empty. This took about 30 minutes. Then, over the next 2 hours, I drank 32 oz. of various good-tasting liquids. Within an hour, my bowels started to move. The next morning, I repeated the above process. I did not vomit or have any side effects. Three hours before my procedure, I was expelling just water."

For Bowel Preparation "Greetings, fellow preppers! Positive as far as results and even taste. I've done other cheaper preps in the past, and while the 'end' results were clearing, others made me gag and vomit, but not this. Please do have your bottle of water chilled in the refrigerator so cold. Manage clear liquids all day till 6 pm, poured the 6 oz bottle of prep into the container provided and then topped off to the fill line with cold water. Grabbed a lemon and a straw, then proceeded to the bathroom in case I got sick drinking it, but I didn't. I actually found the straw annoying and gagging, so removed it, licked the lemon, then started sipping a mouthful at a time. Got it all down in 10 minutes, then 30 minutes later on the commode, clear in 1 1/2 hrs. Repeat in the morn. Blessings to you."

For Bowel Preparation "30 y/o male. After reading the horror stories about this product, I was quite hesitant about using it myself. The taste was far from what people claim, I mixed the first 6 oz with white grape juice and the second 6 oz with ice water, which was better. The consistency is thick, which would most likely cause a problem for those with texture issues. Drank required 16 oz of water within the hour, plus a fair amount of yellow Gatorade, Mountain Dew, and Diet Coke. The prep began working within the hour, and I was in the bathroom for about 1-1.5 hours with full watery bowel movements. After that time, it began to slow down, and bowel movements only came on 1-3 times per hour. Total bowel movements on night 1 were anywhere from 20-30. Day 2 bowel movements were 7-10, but the urge to go was there, I had nothing left in my system. No cramping, bloating, headache, or vomiting. I actually felt amazing from the cleanse. In summary, pay the extra and get Suprep."

For Bowel Preparation "As an anxious first-timer who scoured the web for answers to my many concerns, I found this thread most helpful. So, here are my two cents. Suprep is very effective. Got a 'gold star' from my GI for 'cleanliness.' With cold water, a straw, and a green apple Jolly Rancher chaser between sips, the taste was not as bad as I thought it would be. (It's definitely not good!) First dose (6 pm) went down in 4-5 sips. Second dose (2:30 am) took more time and patience, like 25 much smaller sips to avoid gagging. (Not sure why the difference.) Followed instructions to the letter. Only got an hour or so of sleep overnight, so I rather enjoyed my 'nap' during the procedure. Very relieved to know all is well, and all my worry was for nothing. Hope this helps."

For Bowel Preparation "Had my 3rd colonoscopy today, and this is the first time I have used Suprep. This is the first time I feel normal after the procedure! All prep medicines taste yucky, but because Suprep requires only 16 oz. of liquid nastiness, followed by 32 oz. of water (twice), it was not unbearable. I have vomited while taking previous preps, but did not with Suprep. Yes, it is very salty and sweet, but if you use a straw, it keeps it off your lips. I ended up taking about 5 sips with a straw over a 20-minute period to get it down, as any faster would have made me puke. Drinking the 32 oz. of water afterward was not hard because the saltiness made you thirsty and want to drink it. I will recommend Suprep over all other preps to my friends."

For Bowel Preparation "Suprep worked well, no complaints. It did taste sweet like heavy cough syrup, but yet heavily salty tasting. Mix it with cold Martinelli's apple and pear cider; easier to consume. Round 1, 5 pm, I poured 6 ounces of cooled Suprep into a 16-ounce container, then filled it with cold cider and used a straw. I took 30 minutes to finish, then drank 32 ounces of warm Gatorade within the hour. No stomach upset or vomiting or cramping; took about 3 hours to complete the elimination process. Get a magazine and hang out in the bathroom or watch a movie on a mobile device until the process slows down. Word of advice, get some A&D ointment prior to going; it will save your bum. Round 2, 4 am, did the same, no issues. 9:30 appointment, easy as could ever be."

For Bowel Preparation "It wasn't the colonoscopy I feared, but drinking the stuff. I survived, and you can too. The flavor was exactly like Fanta or Crush grape soda (without the fizz), but the aftertaste was nasty. I made it cold and used a straw to drink it. First dose took me about three or four big drinks with the straw, and in between, I rinsed my mouth with water. I gagged a little, but I'm a big baby when it comes to liquid medicine. The second dose was in the middle of the night, and a bit harder to get down. No pain, gas, cramps, or racing to the bathroom, which surprised me. Don't let your fear of drinking this stop you from getting a colonoscopy, it's not that bad. Good luck. Go do it, and get it over with! If I drank 16 oz twice, you can too! Really, you can. :)"

For Bowel Preparation "Wow! This prep is so much better than Golytely prep from 8 yrs ago. 3 days prior to the procedure, started a low-residue diet - reduced amount eaten on day 2 prior - this significantly reduces output and discomfort. Only clear liquids the day prior (no light breakfast). Read Suprep reviews - poured prep out over 3 small ice cubes and used chilled water - chugged in 2 gulps (breathed through mouth between gulps - reduces taste) then immediately sucked on a sour piece of hard candy - minimizes aftertaste. Within 15 min, consumed 32 oz of room temp water - the faster this all goes in, the faster it comes out - less potty time. Same for early (3 am) prep. No nausea/vomiting, no cramping, no headache, only slight chill in the am. Absolutely best prep!"

For Bowel Preparation "Unbelievably disgusting. I am no stranger to various preps. In the recent past, I have taken two 32 oz bottles of nasty yogurty stuff and horrible bottles of sludgy prune stuff. All disgusting. But this Suprep was unbelievably nasty. It took me an hour to get through each bottle. I had to sip it and drink water in between. Anything more, and I couldn't keep it down. I puked up the last 10% from each bottle, without a doubt. Believe me, I have tolerated some nasty stuff. But I could not believe this. I would rather be cut open (and I know what that feels like) than take this stuff again."

For Bowel Preparation "I had no anxiety about taking this for my colonoscopy or endoscopy. I didn’t research, nor did I read anything more than the directions. I followed them exactly. It started working within a half hour. I was fine until I woke up at 2:30 am with a massive headache so bad I had tears streaming down my face and had violent vomiting until the next afternoon. It may be a rare occurrence for something like this to happen, but I literally felt like death and wouldn’t feel right not saying something. I couldn’t drink the second bottle nor get my procedure because I slept and was vomiting so bad. My husband was so worried he wanted to take me to the hospital, but I refused because I didn’t know what was wrong. So he kept checking on me to make sure I was breathing. My body feels like it was poisoned. I don’t want to scare anyone, but feel it’s important to share my experience."

For Bowel Preparation "Worst experience 'EVER.' Someone said, 'My experience with the Suprep wasn’t bad at all, as a matter of fact, it tasted like a margarita.' Ha ha, biggest joke ever, on you. There is no drink on earth that tastes this awful. AVOID, run, do not take it!! I shivered, threw up twice, felt like I was being poisoned!!"

For Bowel Preparation "I read all the previous reviews before doing the bowel prep and borrowed all the ideas I thought would work for me. Two days before my procedure, I kept my diet pretty light, with limited meat. The day before was all clear liquids, Gatorade, and coconut water. I was worried about nausea and vomiting, so I called my doctor, who said I should take GasEx 30 minutes before starting the Suprep. I followed the directions on the box but cut some lemon wedges to suck on in between drinks of the liquid. I didn't think it was awful (not as bad as taking Nyquil). No nausea or cramping. It was pretty simple. Did not use GasEx for morning dose and had mild vomiting. Otherwise, much easier than anticipated."

For Bowel Preparation "My advise is not to chug it down as quickly as possible, as a few people have suggested. I have a strong stomach, but after one day of the liquid diet and drinking the first dose in 10 minutes, followed by some water over the next hour, led me to vomit everything up. The next morning, I spread out Round 2 of the Suprep over an hour and drank the 32 oz of water without any problems. The colon cleanse began within 30 minutes. I thought things were good, as everything looked liquidy when I went to the bathroom. Right before my procedure, I went to the bathroom and had two 3/4' stools come out, which led to the postponement of the colonoscopy, as one dose was not enough to provide proper cleansing. Now I have the prep to look forward to again :-( My advise is NOT to rush the Suprep down, but pace it out over an hour. Your stomach is not prepared for it after only a liquid diet. Hope that helps. Good luck, everyone!"

For Bowel Preparation "I mixed the first drink at 6. It was vile. The only way I was getting it down was to chug it. I immediately chased it with a little water. I continued to sip the first cup of water, and then... I started violently vomiting. It was coming out the wrong end. After 2 hours of that, with me now having palpitations, sweating profusely, and retching. I called my doctor. He said, 'suck on a peppermint' (WHAT?!?). I begged him to call in an anti-nausea. It did nothing. I got worse. I had my husband call 911. I've been in bed for six days, four of them vomiting. I had to have three bags of fluid pumped into me. I had three different kinds of anti-nausea. Didn't help. I was shaking and shivering. There was talk of elevated blood counts. (I was in and out of it the whole time). My blood pressure at one point was 176/96. If I could give this negative 20 stars, I would. And I never got the procedure. My business has been shut down all week. This medication is dangerous and shouldn't be on the market."

For Bowel Preparation "I have to be one of the scariest individuals in the world when it comes to medication. Therefore, after reading all of the reviews, I was traumatized and afraid to begin my bowel prep. However, I took the advice of some of the other reviews and made sure that I followed the liquid diet, chilled the Suprep, took small sips, and used a lemon as a chaser. The medicine began to gently work within the hour without any complications. The purpose of the medicine is to clean the bowels, so I expected that I would have numerous trips to the restroom. However, that process was not bad as well. The second time at 5:00 a.m. went exactly the same. I am happy to report that I didn't experience any nausea, vomiting, or cramping. The rest is history!"

For Bowel Preparation "Took my first Suprep dose at 5 pm, followed by two 16 oz of water per my clinic's instructions, and 45 min later was violently projectile vomiting. I threw up the entire thing along with all the water and all the Gatorade I had drank 4 hours earlier. I decided to hang in there and try again for the second dose at 2 am. This time I tried to drink it slower. It took 45 min to get 3/4 of the dose drank, and again, right at 45 min, I threw up everything. Some of the dosage must've actually made it to my gut because I did have a couple loose BMs, but the entire appointment had to be postponed because I didn't get enough down to clean everything out, which really sucks after you've gone an entire day without eating. The taste of this garbage is only something so awful-think salty ocean water mixed with grape Dimetapp mixed with half a large container of Morton's table salt. If tasting it the first time wasn't bad enough, imagine throwing it all back up and having to taste it again on its way back up."
