Lemborexant for Insomnia "BEWARE. DO NOT USE DAYVIGO. I've been taking Ambien 10mg for approximately 1.5 years and had no issues. My doctor suggested Dayvigo as an alternative. I gave it a go. Took the 10mg version 1 time and had the worst sleep of my life. The onset feeling was dizziness and very heavy eyes. I was lying down in bed and attempted to sleep. Within minutes, I experienced tremendous amounts of anxiety, feeling of racing heart, heart palpitations, difficulty breathing, headache, restlessness, and agitation. It felt as if I was on an upper and a downer at the same time. I tossed and turned. It was a miserable experience. After about 1.5 hours of taking it, I forced myself to throw up in an attempt to rid my body of this toxin. This accomplished nothing as the drug had already been absorbed into my bloodstream. I drank a lot of water and ate food to try and minimize the drug's effects. The half-life for Dayvigo 10mg is 19 hours! So I'll have to be patient while my body metabolizes this awful substance."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "Dayvigo 5 mg. Dr. advised to take in bed. First night, headache. No sleep. Second night, headache worse, pacing, swore I had to make myself stop thinking strange things. Third night, same, only now agitated and on edge. No sleep. Fourth night, I went back to my old meds and called my Dr. Not a drug for this insomniac."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "I have been taking Dayvigo (5 mg) for 2 nights now. My doctor told me it could take between 4-7 days to work properly. I had been taking Zopiclone 7.5 mg, but my doctor was worried about interactions with my lupus medication. I go to bed at 10 pm and read. I will fall asleep while reading, but as soon as I put my book aside, I wake up. I will lie awake until 3 am and sleep until 7. This makes my pain intolerable. The Dayvigo I take at 10 and start reading. Within 20 minutes, I am very sleepy. I put my book away and sleep until 7 am. No vivid dreams, no anxiety, no side effects so far. Just restful sleep. After night 2 of sleeping, my joint pain is nearly gone. My ankles are still sore, but my foot pain is gone. I am hopeful this continues to work."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "I've been taking Dayvigo for a month now. I have weird dreams, headaches, and anxiety. I take it with my trazodone 300 mg. I seem to sleep much better, but it's hard to wake up sometimes. Groggy. I do wake up to pee and go back to sleep pretty well. I do take medicine for anxiety, but lately after taking Dayvigo I feel more anxious. Not sure if I will keep taking it."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "Took 10 mg at bedtime. Took over 2 hours to fall asleep. Never went into good sleep. Felt like twilight. Somewhat aware of my surroundings all night long. Next day hungover for 8 hours, which caused increased anxiety from lack of sleep. Will never take this class of medication ever again. Had tried Belsomra 3 years before. Was never effective."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "I tried Dayvigo for the first time last night. My Dr. prescribed me 5 mg but told me that I could take 2 if needed. I took the first one and I was still wide awake 3 hours later, so I took the 2nd one. I will never touch those pills again! I had very vivid nightmares all night, but I was awake enough to know I was dreaming. I was terrified and felt like I was tripping. I also got the chills, but then sweating at the same time. I'm exhausted this morning, headache, and my anxiety is high. I've been on Ambien and Lunesta, and never have I been terrified like I was with Dayvigo. I feel like I paid $310 to be tortured all night."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "I have taken Dayvigo for 11 nights now, trying to see if my body will adjust. The sleep doctor who prescribed it wanted me to try combining clonazepam and Dayvigo to stop what I would refer to as 'brain buzzing.' I did this for 5 days - no change and thought - hm...now I'm taking two drugs. I stopped the clonazepam, and the buzzing is getting worse rather than better. I am anxious, somewhat depressed, nervous, tearful, and I am very lethargic. I have difficulty getting out of bed in the morning, even though I do get at least 6 hours of sleep. My thoughts are racing when I wake up, and I have disturbing dreams often. When I wake, I think I need to take clonazepam to calm my brain down. I feel that my depression is worsening. I would rate this medication as a negative number out of ten. It is not tolerable for me."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "Dayvigo is the first sleeping pill I've tried and probably the last one! It relaxed me 5 minutes in, and I was completely zoned out for 2 hours till I got nauseous and forced myself out of bed to puke out this horrible existence. I paced all night with severe anxiety, my stomach was so tense, and I was in a constant state of freaking out. I fell asleep around 5 till 7, and I've been up for 2 days straight now."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "For four days, I thought my 25-year battle with insomnia and drug trials was over! I slept well and woke up a little fuzzy for maybe 15 minutes. Then, the side effects began. During the day, I was weak, internally trembly, and anxious. So much so, I could hardly function. Then the nightmares and waking every 30 minutes or so started! I took a break. After a week, I just tried again. Slept well, but shaky and anxious all day. Not worth it, I’m going to the Mayo Clinic for help."

For Insomnia "After years of insomnia and 28 years of alcohol addiction recovery, I have finally got something that is low risk but works! 10 mg on my way to bed… I read for about 10 minutes before my eyes get heavy and I turn the light off. I wake up once or twice to use the washroom, no feeling of unsteadiness, and fall back to sleep for at least 8 hours every night. No headache, anxiety, or nightmares. I do have dreams (that I’ve never had before), and they are enjoyable! After a cup of coffee, I’m ready to go… Thank you, Dayvigo! By the way, I live in Canada, and they are fully covered by my government-sponsored health plan."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "Slept for about 3 hours and then wandered around the house on and off for the rest of the night. Became fixated on the past like doing acid in my younger days. Each day I become more anxious and tired."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "I would NEVER take this again! The first time I took it, I was sluggish, but I couldn’t sleep. I kept tossing, turning while my tachycardia condition got worse. I was struggling to catch my breath, and I was so anxious. I felt like I was going to jump out of my skin. When I finally went to sleep, I had extremely vivid nightmares. I felt trapped because I couldn’t wake up to end it. After I woke up, I felt more tired than I did before I took Dayvigo. I woke up feeling extremely agitated and anxious. It was like I didn’t even sleep at all. I wouldn’t recommend this medicine to anyone. If it worked for you, I’m glad it did, but it didn’t help me at all."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "I suffer from insomnia and do not remember the last time I had a full night's sleep. My Dr. prescribed me this for a couple of weeks to see how it worked. The first night was terrifying, major anxiety, weird dreams, and did not sleep well. Second night, arm and leg spasms, which woke me up and scared the living daylight out of me! Third night slept better, vivid dreams but nothing scary. I did wake up in the middle of the night twice but managed to sleep pretty quickly after. I have work today but have woken up feeling so exhausted. So, not really sure what to think about these pills..."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "This medicine was horrible to me. Not only did it not make me sleep, but it made me anxious, I had “brain zaps,” and then had sleep paralysis. It’s an awful drug as far as I’m concerned. And it costs $650 a month. Why? To be tortured? Nope."

For Insomnia "I have been suffering from primary insomnia for 5 years, averaging 4 hours of sleep. Trying many pills but could not support most either because of tolerance issues, rapid reduction of effect, or next-day tiredness. Lemborexant literally gave me my life back. I am now averaging 6 hours and 30 minutes per night and have no more problems falling asleep. Just sometimes staying asleep. I take 2.5 mg or 5 mg a night. If I wake up too early because of stress, I take 2.5 mg more for 2-3 hours of more sleep. For maximum effect, I take it with a low dose of melatonin and phosphatidylserine to lower cortisol levels."
