Dayvigo (lemborexant) "I have had very bad insomnia for years. I have tried everything. Ambien and Lunesta make me forget everything. I started on Dayvigo 5mg and found that it made me feel like I was in a trance and I had some GI issues, however, once I increased it to the 10mg dose, I fell asleep fast, got very restful sleep. I have no side effects, and while I may not sleep 8 hours each night, the sleep that I am getting is more restful. It feels like I am sleeping naturally like I did once upon a time!"

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "BEWARE. DO NOT USE DAYVIGO. I've been taking Ambien 10mg for approximately 1.5 years and had no issues. My doctor suggested Dayvigo as an alternative. I gave it a go. Took the 10mg version 1 time and had the worst sleep of my life. The onset feeling was dizziness and very heavy eyes. I was lying down in bed and attempted to sleep. Within minutes, I experienced tremendous amounts of anxiety, feeling of racing heart, heart palpitations, difficulty breathing, headache, restlessness, and agitation. It felt as if I was on an upper and a downer at the same time. I tossed and turned. It was a miserable experience. After about 1.5 hours of taking it, I forced myself to throw up in an attempt to rid my body of this toxin. This accomplished nothing as the drug had already been absorbed into my bloodstream. I drank a lot of water and ate food to try and minimize the drug's effects. The half-life for Dayvigo 10mg is 19 hours! So I'll have to be patient while my body metabolizes this awful substance."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "I have never been able to just lay down and sleep. As a child, I hated going to bed because of that. I have tried everything - Ambien, flurazepam, every holistic sleep aid, with little or no help. Even if I eventually fall asleep, I don't stay asleep. My doctor gave me the Dayvigo 5mg sample box, advising I take one to begin, which I did. I slept like a baby. I woke up seven hours later to go to the bathroom and went back to bed, sleeping another 3 hours. I was so sleep-deprived. I feel a little groggy from sleeping so much and am glad I didn't take two of the 5mg. I am beyond happy to find something that works for me."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "I would not give this drug to my worst enemy. I have struggled with insomnia since I was prescribed Lexapro 3 years ago. I have tried many sleeping pills - all just do not sit well with me, eventually becoming ineffective. My psychiatrist gave me a sample of Dayvigo and I took it for the first time last night - 5mg. Needless to say, I literally thought it was the end of me. I took it around 10 pm, 30 minutes later, I felt very dizzy and could hardly move. My heart was racing, and I consistently felt out of breath. I had to consciously tell my body to move, it took several minutes to just lift a finger. I was so scared to sleep because I thought I was going to die. I was up until 4 am, just praying I would make it through the night. If I had taken 10mg, I don’t know if I would be here. Please be cautious. I would rather never sleep again than to take this pill again. I’m still shaken up today."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "I have severe insomnia and have had no luck with Ambien, Lunesta, trazodone, and others. None of them worked. Dayvigo did. I have finally gotten sleep. No side effects. The first day I was a little groggy, but that went away the next day. I do wake up a few times in the night to go pee, but I fall back to sleep quickly, which has NEVER happened for me. I hope this works for other people too. Oh, I take the 10 mg pill."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "Two years into trying script after script, all had side effects and reactions to other meds. Dayvigo has been by far the worst. Extreme nightmares and even worse, sleep paralysis. ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC, THE MOST TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE! Never again! I'm done with this stuff, I'd rather have three hours of restless sleep than this mind-tripping."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "Tried a lot of sleep meds and this is what works best for me. Belsomra is good too. I take 5mg of Dayvigo and prazosin at night before bed. They work well together. I think I may need to go up to 10mg though after I get adjusted. It's been about 3 weeks or so now and it really does work. Prazosin helps with night terrors, so I don't experience any of that, but I will say I felt a bit 'high' the first few days of adjustment when I woke up. No crazy side effects, just a bit of a headache here and there, but that's pretty normal with new sleep meds. I would recommend you try it if others are not working for you! I won't say it's a "miracle cure", but it works better than anything else has for me. I don't know what all these bad reviews are about, so just keep an open mind. It never hurts to try and stop if it's not for you. Hope this helps someone. Insomnia sucks. Sleep well, everyone."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "I am on Day 7 of the 10-day trial pack. I have been suffering from insomnia for 24 years. My most recent medication quit working after 15 years (Clonazepam). My doctor gave me the Dayvigo sample pack to try. It immediately made me fall asleep within 20 minutes. I wake up 1-2 times in the night to urinate. I am immediately able to fall back asleep, which I've never been able to do on any of the previous meds I've taken. I sleep anywhere between 7-10 hours with Dayvigo. So far, I'm impressed and will request a prescription."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "Female, 66.5 years old, about 107 lbs. I started using Dayvigo in June of 2020, began at 5mg, went up to 10mg the following month. After a while, I began to wake up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep. So I started cutting the 10mg pills in half, taking 5mg at bedtime, and the 2nd 5mg after I got up to use the bathroom. That worked for me. Though after a month or two like this, I only needed the initial 5mg at bedtime and could easily go back to sleep, even if I got up during the night multiple times. At this point, I don't have any side effects. I've been using Dayvigo for 9 months, and I'm happy with it. I'm really sorry for those of you with bad experiences, some of them sound terrible! Before Dayvigo, I had used Ativan, and also Klonopin (and herbal meds, which were ineffective), but my husband and I were concerned about serious addiction. Partly my insomnia resulted from PTSD, and also post-menopause. We have good insurance and it only costs $60 a month."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "I’ve been taking Ambien 10 mg every day for the past year. My doctor wanted me to try Dayvigo. I’ve been taking it for the past 3 nights and have not been able to fall asleep a single night - at all. I’m so exhausted. My entire body feels weak and restless. I haven’t felt drugged or affected at all even after taking the 10 mg. I’ve laid in bed just tossing and turning. I’ve cut down on caffeine and screen time to help with sleep hygiene as well, but still can’t sleep. I’ve tried to nap during the day but still just can’t fall asleep. My experience on this medication hasn’t been good. Hopefully everyone else has a better sleep and better experience than I have."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "I was prescribed Dayvigo after trying and failing everything under the sun (no pun intended), and nothing worked. The 10 mg dose was given to me because of my history with chronic and near debilitating insomnia. I can say after trying the full 10-day sample box I was given by my doctor that this medication WORKS. I used to take Ambien, but it lost its effect after about 30 days."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "I have been taking Dayvigo 10 mg for one month now, and the only side effect is very vivid and bold dreaming. I wake up to go pee 1-2 times, but I am able to fall back asleep very easily. I have worked nights as a nurse for 15 years, and this medication works the best out of any I have tried. I am able to wake up easily with no grogginess throughout my shifts. I was able to get a sample packet from my primary care provider that had a 12-month savings card, medication is only costing me $30 a month for the next 12 months. My insurance would not cover any of the costs. When my 12 months are up, not sure if I will be able to continue or afford this medication, as the cost out of pocket will be $322 a month :( I sleep well on Dayvigo, but I’m not willing to shell out $322 a month for it."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "I thought I had dropped into a live-in nightmare two times in one night. It scared me so badly when I finally woke up, I swore I would never take this drug again. It was the most horrific dream I've ever had. I took a 1.5 mg pill. I'm still shaken up after taking this drug. I hope this helps someone. It is not for me. I have never been scared of meds until now."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "Dayvigo has worked really well for me! I have been on the 5mg for a week or so and it has helped me fall asleep. I only wake up once to use the restroom. I feel so rested and calm the next day. I just upped my medicine to 10mg to see, and I think that may be too much for me. I plan to cut the pill in half to stick with the 5mg dosage. I would say give it time to work. (Also it doesn’t knock you out like other sleep aids, since it is working with a different part of the brain)."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "Drug worked fast. Slept comfortably through the night. No vivid dreams. No nightmares. Not sure how people say it’s the worst drug and should be taken off the market? Dayvigo is a useful sleep aid, and I’m really skeptical about all of the reviews that give it 1 out of 10."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "Got this from a new doctor, one I had to ask to put on a mask when I entered her office. That should have been warning enough to not trust her. I took the 5 mg pill around 11:30 p.m. By midnight, still not feeling sleepy, feeling fuzzy and slightly dizzy. Went to bed and settled in. That is when the nightmares began. These dreams were intense and more vivid than I thought possible. Like immersive 3D real-world technicolor high-end sound. Woke up at 4 a.m. feeling like my entire body was vibrating. Got back to bed at 4:30 a.m. attempting to sleep. Instantly, the insane dreams started up again. Felt like a state somewhere between being awake and asleep. Woke up at 8 a.m. sweaty and shaking a bit. Got up and spent the next hour trying to feel okay. Now, two hours later, I finally feel sleepy. Probably just tired from being in the middle of some kind of cinematic hell all night. I do not recommend this. I would not wish it on someone I deeply despise. I would rather just not sleep."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "Took Dayvigo last night and decided then it would be a good time to research this medication. My sleep was comparable to every negative review on this page. I had incredibly vivid and stressful dreams and was woken multiple times during the night with the most unpleasant physical sensation. So discouraged that this medicine is highly pushed by doctors as a superior alternative to other z-drugs."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "5 mg did nothing, but 10 mg was the sweet spot. Folks reading through these reviews, please realize: each person is an individual, with their own lists of medications and issues. What may be horrible for you may not be for me, and vice versa. Anyways, the difference for me with Dayvigo as opposed to trazodone, Ambien, Belsomra, and Lunesta is my ability to wake up but still get back to sleep with ease. My sleep has been consistently solid. One thing I'd note for folks: don't take this and try to stay up/fight it. I wouldn't. The 10 mg dosage is strong. I do my evening routine, take my dose, and go straight to bed, allowing myself no diversions or distractions. Twenty minutes later, I'm out. I hope you have a similar experience, but if you don't, there are other meds. Keep trying, and may your dreams eventually be sweet!"

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "I took my first 5 mg Dayvigo two nights ago. After 90 minutes of sleep, I awakened with horror as I hallucinated a crazy scary dream. Felt paralyzed and wanted to scream but could not make a sound. Was able to touch my husband's arm and wake him. He said he had never seen such terror in my eyes. He sat with me for 2 hours until I was over it. Never again. The medication would have cost $70 for a month, but I was able to get a free 10-day supply."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) "I’m 61 and have battled sleep problems since I was a kid. I have been on everything for sleep, including 10 mg of Xanax at night, prescribed by a doctor. I started on Dayvigo, which I suggested to my psychiatrist after reading up about it. It has been a miracle. I sleep well at night. I am alert all day. I’m happy and no longer fear going to sleep as it was a nightly battle. I’ve been on this for almost one year. I cannot stress enough that one should try and stay with this. I hope others find their sleep answers."

The nightmares were among some of the worst I've had, they were vivid and violent. I was also awakened early morning with lots of sweating, heart palpitations, and numbness in my hands. I will never take this medication again due to the horrific side effects and impact on my heart."
