Lemborexant for Insomnia "I took my first 5 mg Dayvigo two nights ago. After 90 minutes of sleep, I awakened with horror as I hallucinated a crazy scary dream. Felt paralyzed and wanted to scream but could not make a sound. Was able to touch my husband's arm and wake him. He said he had never seen such terror in my eyes. He sat with me for 2 hours until I was over it. Never again. The medication would have cost $70 for a month, but I was able to get a free 10-day supply."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "In 25 years of taking sedatives, I have been on everything, including Xyrem. This medication paralyzed me, and I was having auditory hallucinations. Once I was able to move, I took Halcion and clonazepam and went to sleep finally. This ineffective medication should have never been approved by the FDA. Paralysis and hallucinations are not acceptable to me, not to mention it doesn't put you to sleep. NIGHTMARE drug. Good riddance, right in the trash."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "Did not experience sleepiness whatsoever. 5 mg caused hyper-awakeness and migraine headaches. After 9 hours awake, finally fell asleep to extreme nightmares, sleep paralysis, then hallucinations and repeated screaming. Disturbing results from such a small dose. The drug was extremely expensive. I'll return to Zopiclone."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "I have suffered from chronic insomnia for over 20 years. I have been on almost every prescription available. However, Ambien and Restoril have been the only medications that have worked. Unfortunately, after years of being on either medication, the dosage had to increase to the point I would have to try something else. I was given a sample of Dayvigo 5 mg. I took it as prescribed, and it took over an hour before I started to feel it taking effect, which was immediate sleep paralysis. It felt like I was being physically restrained. I struggled to fight it, to scream for help, to move my body, and couldn't. It was the worst, most horrific night I have ever had. I have had Ambien-induced hallucinations, but those were never as terrifying as what I experienced on Dayvigo. And to top it off, the next day after Dayvigo, I felt like a zombie, unable to do anything for myself. My blood pressure has always been low, after taking Dayvigo, it felt like my heart was barely beating."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "My PA would not give me Ambien, which works like a charm for me, so she prescribed Dayvigo 10 mg. I took it at bedtime (10:30). Within 30 minutes, I was asleep. However, I had horrible hallucinations! I thought my boyfriend, who is in the hospital following a major stroke, was in bed with me, and we had sex! After 45 minutes, I 'woke up' only to find that none of it was real and that I had been hallucinating all of it. I never really went to sleep, I don't think, but after that 45 minutes, I was wide awake and couldn't get to sleep. I paid $200 for a 30-day supply of this drug. Never again! I'd rather go 3-4 nights without sleep than to ever experience that again! I would not recommend this drug to anyone!"

Lemborexant for Insomnia "Dayvigo 10 mg. Very similar experience as many of the people who ranked this drug as 1/10, wish there was a “0.” I initially became very trippy and figured, wow, maybe it’s going to work. But the trippy-ness turned into a 5 hr drug-induced paralysis, it was terrible. I also had a splitting headache the next day and never did get to sleep until 6 am the next morning, just wanted it to stop, but it wouldn’t. I’m glad it has worked for some, but I will never try it again. Oh, and I also had terrible cotton mouth. Jan, 2023."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "Struggled with insomnia for years, nothing works. I was told by my doctor this Dayvigo would be like getting anesthesia and going under, I'd sleep like never before... well, she was right. After a twitchy, shaky half hour of laying in bed, I entered a half-sleep, hellish nightmare of being paralyzed, trying to scream with nothing coming out. I can't believe the hallucinations I saw and heard. If it wasn't for the brief moments my girlfriend could bring me out as I latched onto her for dear life, I might be in the psych ward right now. After what seemed like hours, I finally drifted off... for an hour, only to wake up in a pool of sweat, in tremors, feeling worse than a night of no sleep at all. Be warned, it's not worth the risk... poison."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "Five weeks into 5 mg of Dayvigo after 20 years of Imovane. I have suffered a lifetime of insomnia that impacts my having to sleep and be alert doing 12-hour shifts in a high-stress job. I'm not certain if the side effects I'm experiencing are all from Dayvigo or from withdrawing from Imovane. I found the first week I experienced dry mouth, headaches, and intermittent sleep. Since then, I am sleeping deeply, waking a few times during the night and sometimes going right back to sleep, on other nights, not being able to return to sleep. I am still finding vivid dreams, usually close to the morning when I should be waking up, and occasional restless legs and some hallucinations. I am very tired during the day and actually slept off and on until 3:00 in the afternoon yesterday. I have to nap during the afternoon, but being 69 and retired, it is worth sleeping at night. I was finding I was having memory issues on Imovane, and if Dayvigo is safer, I will continue taking it. Hopefully, the side effects diminish soon."
