For Insomnia "I want to know how long they researched this drug, and how long the trial lasted, how many people died. I'm definitely going to find a way to spread a warning about this. Don't you know that this drug can cause paralysis? Aren't you worried about the risk that it might cause you to stop breathing in your sleep? Yeah, I'm definitely going to make some loud noise about this."

For Insomnia "Never, under any circumstances, take this drug if you have insomnia due to an overactive brain. The best way to describe it would be like taking an entire bottle of sleeping pills while drinking a case of Red Bull. It caused paralysis in all four of my limbs with numbness/tingling. My heart started racing out of my chest while it felt like 500 lbs of pressure. I had beads of sweat dripping down my face, couldn’t breathe… I tried to scream when I discovered I couldn’t swallow, my jaw locked. Had to slowly talk myself into moving one finger at a time until I could use my arms to push myself physically out of bed. Began pacing for two hours before vomiting everywhere. Absolutely the worst experience of my life. This drug should never be responsibly prescribed to anyone! Giving this medication a 1/10 seems irresponsible."

For Insomnia "Dayvigo paralyzed me and made me trip, and it was not fun. Dual orexin inhibitors are the worst solution for insomnia ever developed. Not only is this med ineffective, it's dangerous. I will stick to Halcion, etc., it's ostracized, but is way safer than this nightmare pill."

For Insomnia "Ok, so I took this for 1 night, and within 20 minutes, I went into a “trance,” and my wife’s voice felt like it was coming from across the street, even as I was right next to her in bed. Then I had more and more difficulty breathing, and my whole body became paralyzed for what seemed like hours, but was only a few minutes. I then passed in and out of this coma-like state of sleep. This is the worst effect I’ve ever had on any medication, and I’m only 29, with no health problems except insomnia. I am never touching this again, back to Lunesta or Restoril."

For Insomnia "Unfortunately, had scary paralysis and extremely vivid nightmare on Dayvigo 5 mg. Knew I was having it but could not sit up and get out of bed to make nightmare stop. Heard myself moaning and crying but could do nothing until several hours later, and then I was afraid to go back to sleep. First and last time I will ever take it. Really wondering how it was cleared, as it seems most reviewers here had the same experience. Haven’t had the guts to attempt another try, would be insanity to put myself through that again. Terrifying."

For Insomnia "Struggled with insomnia for years, nothing works. I was told by my doctor this Dayvigo would be like getting anesthesia and going under, I'd sleep like never before... well, she was right. After a twitchy, shaky half hour of laying in bed, I entered a half-sleep, hellish nightmare of being paralyzed, trying to scream with nothing coming out. I can't believe the hallucinations I saw and heard. If it wasn't for the brief moments my girlfriend could bring me out as I latched onto her for dear life, I might be in the psych ward right now. After what seemed like hours, I finally drifted off... for an hour, only to wake up in a pool of sweat, in tremors, feeling worse than a night of no sleep at all. Be warned, it's not worth the risk... poison."

For Insomnia "My trial of DayVigo was very unpleasant. I took 10 mg as prescribed. 10 minutes after going to bed, my mind was still active, but my limbs and tongue started to feel heavy and weak, and partially paralyzed. I suppose that could be relaxing to some, but it felt claustrophobic to me. I got up and spent the rest of the night waiting for it to wear off."

For Insomnia "Side effects: paralysis, vivid dreams, erotic, brain zaps. Got the 10-day sample. Night one, I assumed I had something else going on, then day two, the same experience. I noticed I was tired an hour after taking it. Laid down, and soon after, had a weird line zing/zap feel. Almost like it was only half my head. Then I became anxious and realized I couldn't move—SLEEP PARALYSIS hardcore. I haven't had that issue since childhood! Then erotic feelings crept up BAD. After, I couldn't even keep my eyes open. Slept for 4 hours, had vivid dreams, then woke again, ate cereal, and passed out. No grogginess at all. Only a small challenge to wake up the second morning. Overall, if it wasn't for the paralysis and fear of the odd brain zing/zaps (I swear they were orange and red), the sleep would be worth it."

For Insomnia "In 25 years of taking sedatives, I have been on everything, including Xyrem. This medication paralyzed me, and I was having auditory hallucinations. Once I was able to move, I took Halcion and clonazepam and went to sleep finally. This ineffective medication should have never been approved by the FDA. Paralysis and hallucinations are not acceptable to me, not to mention it doesn't put you to sleep. NIGHTMARE drug. Good riddance, right in the trash."
