Dayvigo (lemborexant) "I've been taking this for 2 months and am struck by its effectiveness. About 20 minutes after taking it, I just can't keep on reading. Usually, I now sleep about 6.5-7.5 hours per night. Such a relief. AND, it's not expensive. Both the 5 and 10 mg pills are about $1.50 (Canadian) per night. Next prescription, I'm going to ask for the 10 mg pills and just split them."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "I’m dealing with insomnia for many years and I was advised to switch over from temazepam to dayvigo, and I absolutely regretted! I only had this medication for three nights and every night I had horrible nightmares plus frequently waking up for seven hours duration. I wish I never had this experience…"

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "Dayvigo is the 1st medicine that both helps me fall asleep and stay asleep! If I do wake up to go to the bathroom, I fall back asleep. I have slept 9 hours and taken a 3 hr nap when really sleep deprived on it. I used to sleep about 4 hours and now sleep about 8 to 9 hours. I sleep less at times, but always feel refreshed. I never feel groggy."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "I’ve experienced insomnia intermittently in my adult life and tried zolpidem and trazadone which both left me feeling drowsy and foggy the following day. I will admit to being hesitant to try Dayvigo but I have had a fantastic experience. I take 5 mg when I go to bed and it’s feels like I fall asleep naturally. I may still wake up a couple of times in the night sometimes but fall back to sleep easily. In the morning I wake feeling refreshed. Initially I took Dayvigo intermittently but now take on a regular basis and over time I continually feel more and more rested; likely because I am sleeping well more consistently. Overall I am feeling so much better, more functional and very glad I gave Dayvigo a try!!"

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "Red flag, took one pill, had the most horrible nightmare, Dr mentioned that it would be 1 week until the nightmares disappear, no way, one night is enough. Horrible experience. Will probably not publish this, be wary."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "Been on Dayvigo for 4 years. Tried every other sleep medication just like everyone else and this was the one for me. I will say there is a major side effect mentioned a few times and that’s the sleep paralysis/nightmares. I had those more frequently when I first started and then as I got used to the drug I actually lowered from 10mg to 5mg- that was a big difference maker for me and most side effects gone- maybe once a month or two I’ll get a sleep paralysis event but other than that dayvigo makes me feel/act like a normal sleeper. Take the pill at 10:30 asleep around 11 and ready to wake up around 6 feeling well rested! The sleep paralysis sucks. But ambien made me forget literally everything that happened on a day to day basis and lunesta ruined the taste of everything for me, leaving a metallic taste constantly in my mouth. Any other drug I didn’t mention had zero impact on my ability to fall asleep and stay asleep. Insurance covered it for 4 years"

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "I've had insomnia for 20+ years. Root cause: childhood maltreatment (biological mechanism=stress). I managed it with z-drugs for a long time, with things like pregabalin thrown in to deepen my sleep. But this approach was hit and miss - not really as reliable as I would have liked. Plus I think that things that work on GABA disrupt sleep architecture and don't really give you good quality sleep. Recently tried the dual orexin receptor antagonist (DORA) Davigo (lemborexant). It works for me. I did have crazy dreams at first, and still dream quite a bit on it, but less than in the beginning. I am still playing with the dosage. The only problem for me with this drug is that if I take too much I have next-day somnolence (I can feel the drug still working for 4 or 5 hours the next day). Anyway, I think DORAs have promise. I'm waiting for Quviviq (daridorexant) to be approved here in Canada because it has a shorter half-life. I care about you all. We all deserve to be happy."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "I tried this new medication Dayvigo for chronic insomnia 10mg. I had been taking 1mg of Clonazepam every night for a year and it just stopped working, also took 10mg of melatonin with it. My new Dr. put me on Dayvigo, and since there is no generic it's expensive at $50 for my co-pay. But I can tell you for me it's amazing. I've tried every other sleep medication out there, but none worked. The Dayvigo is the best sleep medicine I've ever tried. No side effects, not drugged, just sleepy, which is what I've always wanted. I fell asleep in 30 min, even after eating a snack. I slept better than I have in years. The most amazing thing is I've got spinal stenosis, am on no pain meds and the pain is bad while trying to sleep. The Dayvigo seemed to get rid of all of my back pain and when I woke up in the morning, I still had no pain. I've tried every pain pill out there and none worked, but this is amazing! I just hope it all lasts! I hope that helps anyone in pain or wants to sleep soundly and fast!"

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "Ok so took this for 1 night , and within 20 minutes, I went in to a “trance”, and my wife’s voice felt like it was coming from across the street, even as I was right next to her in bed, then I had more and more difficulty breathing and my whole body became paralyzed for what seemed like hours, but was only a few minutes. I then passed in and out of this coma like state of sleep. This is the worst effect I’ve ever had on ANY medication and I’m only 29, with no health problems except insomnia. I am NEVER touching this again, back to Lunesta or Restoril."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "Dayvigo 10mg has been great for me. Z-drugs left me wiped out the next day, and my doctor did not want to play around with benzos. Dayvigo is getting me to sleep 1 to 2 hours earlier and improved my sleep score by 20 points per night. The only side effect that I have experienced is an ongoing headache, but I am hoping that it drops after another week or two."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "I only recently started experiencing insomnia from a concussion. I took Trazodone for 2 weeks prior to Dayvigo and that was awful. Then my doctor recommended Dayvigo (5mg) and it’s been a godsend. I’m on day 8 currently, and the first 2 days were just odd. The first night I took it on a full stomach (don’t do that) and it took a while to kick in but once it did I was asleep quickly. I woke up briefly in a weird dream-like state, then fell back asleep, but still the best sleep I’ve had in weeks. Second night I took it on an empty stomach and I fell asleep instantly but I did wake up briefly around 5am uh, a bit, “aroused” then fell back asleep but haven’t had either of these since. I can sleep the minimum 7 hours and feel like I actually slept. Highly recommend, it doesn’t feel highly sedative and doesn’t make me feel groggy the next day."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "I was so excited when I heard about this class of drugs. My problem was falling asleep and it seemed to address the problem. Hurrah! The first night I took it, I could not fall asleep. Up all night. So I thought, perhaps I need to try it for more nights. No such luck. Terrible sinus headache with it. Thought it was unrelated until I looked it up. Also got body aches and pains which may be unrelated. 6 nights and I feel terrible."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "My PA would not give me ambien, which works like a charm for me, so she prescribed Dayvigo 10mg. I took it at bedtime (10:30). Within 30 minutes, I was asleep. However, I had horrible hallucinations!! I thought my boyfriend, who is in the hospital following a major stoke, was in bed with me, and we had sex!! After 45 minutes, I "woke up" only to find that none of it was real and that I had been hallucinating all of it. I never really went to sleep, I don't think, but after that 45 minutes, I was wide awake and couldn't get to sleep. I paid $200 for a 30 day supply of this drug. Never again! I'd rather go 3-4 nights without sleep than to ever experience that again! I would not recommend this drug to anyone!!"

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "I have taken Dayvigo for 11 nights now trying to see if my body will adjust. The sleep doctor who prescribed it wanted me to try combining Clonazepam and Dayvigo to stop what I would refer to as "Brain Buzzing" I did this for 5 days - no change and thought - hm...now I'm taking two drugs. I stopped the clonazepam and the buzzing is getting worse rather than better. I am anxious, somewhat depressed, nervous, tearful and I am very lethargic. I have difficulty getting out of bed in the morning even though I do get at least 6 hours of sleep. My thoughts are racing when I wake up and I have disturbing dreams often. When I wake, I think I need to take clonazepam to calm my brain down. I feel that my depression is worsening. I would rate this medication as a negative number out of ten. It is not tolerable for me."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "I tried Dayvigo for the first time last night. My dr prescribed me 5mg but told me that I could take 2 if needed. I took the first one and I was still wide awake 3 hours later so I took the 2nd one. I will never touch those pills again! I had very vivid nightmares all night but I was awake enough to know I was dreaming. I was terrified and felt like I was tripping. I also got the chills but then sweating at the same time. I'm exhausted this morning, headache and my anxiety is high. I've been on ambien and Lunesta and never have I been terrified like I was with Dayvigo. I feel like I paid $310 to be tortured all night."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "I have taken Davigo for a month. 10mg to start. I have horrible nightmares most nights when falling asleep. Sometimes sleep paralysis when falling asleep. But aside from the that once I get to sleep I only wake up to use the bathroom. I get a full nights sleep and wake up clear headed. I will decide this week if I will continue this drug. Many of the vivid dreams are about sex. The nightmare are all over the place. The jury is still out after almost a month on this drug."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "I've been using 2.5mg of Dayvigo nightly and it works great. Doesn't make you feel drugged but allows you to sleep well. I'm taking a low dose but I have not had any side effects besides some morning grogginess. The standard dose is 5 or 10mg but some reviewers stated they found the best dosage at 2.5mg so I tried that as a start, and it works awesome. Takes about 1 hour to fully work."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "I have tried trazodone (makes me vomit on even the lowest dose), Ambien and Lunesta (both made me feel like my limbs were paralyzed before I fell asleep) before trying DayVigo. It had been the best medicine for my insomnia. I’m only on the 5 mg and have been on it for 2 years now. When I take it, within 30 minutes, I’m feeling tired and can’t hardly keep my eyes open. I fall asleep quickly but my only complaint is that I’m still not getting a full nights rest on it. After 4 hours, I’m usually awake and have trouble falling back asleep unless I take a 2nd dose. I never wake up and feel groggy or in a fog."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "Disastrous. I took 5mg at 10 pm and, after not sleeping a wink, took another at 1 am. Did not sleep a wink, got up at 7 am, and felt like a zombie the rest of the day. My sleep specialist is trying to wean me off oxazepam which I have used with a hypnotic, reliably for 15 years. Dayvigo is an expensive scam."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "I took 2 Dayvigo tablets last night at 10 pm with terrifying nightmares. I co sleep with kids and it was like they were trying to kill me. I ran to my husband who showered me in my pyjamas and then my maid came into the room to scare me even more and I ended up eating some cakes just to "sober up" from the pills. While I was eating the little cakes I realised that I'm tripping as I actually never had any cakes in my room. I woke up at 2 am in my bed, ran to another room to wake husband up, asked if anything happened, and he said no. It was all just a nightmare. I also remember that I wanted to scream or drink water and when I drank water [from my kids bottles cuz I wasn't able to walk, I couldn't drink anything and all the water ended up on the floor, that was also a dream. I took one more at 2 am and woke up 6 am with very bad symptoms like I'm coming off xanax or XTC. Damn this is one hell of a pill. Now I know why they just gave me samples and am glad I didn't pay"

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "After reading these reviews I was spooked and held off on trying Dayvigo. I finally started taking it and have been using it for less than a month. I haven’t had any side effects. It doesn’t feel that powerful. On nights that I feel it working, it feels like a “normal” level of sleepiness. It’s not like Ambien where you feel like you’re on a drug. Some nights it feels very helpful. I feel a sense of tiredness and desire to go to bed that I haven’t had naturally in years. Other nights I don’t feel like it helps at all, but I have poor sleep hygiene so your mileage may vary. It certainly works best on an empty stomach. If I were struggling with extreme anxiety and/or insomnia right now I don’t think this would cut it, but for now it’s fine. I can’t tell that I’ve taken a drug and often it helps me feel tired."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "I was prescribed 5mg after dealing with the unexpected death of my father. I wasn't able to fall asleep at all for weeks. I have been falling asleep perfectly when I take Dayvigo. I usually fall asleep within 15-30 minutes. I recommend taking Dayvigo only once you are in bed ready to fall asleep, otherwise, you will feel groggy if doing any tasks. The only thing that I found is that I was kind of loopy on days where I would take Dayvigo the night before and not get at least 7 hours of sleep. So I definitely recommend making sure you can get at least 7 hours of sleep if you're going to take this medication. If not, you may have side effects like I did where I was VERY tired while driving to work, couldn't think straight, etc."

Dayvigo (lemborexant) for Insomnia "Started on 5mg, to get off Lunesta. After 3 days of trying I gave up. I tossed and turned all night and had just as many racing thoughts as before. Dr upped my dose to 10mg. Day two I am typing this message. I was literally fighting to keep my eyes open last night and tonight - as soon as I laid down to “sleep” here we are wide awake. I give up."
