For Pain "I took one dose. I had no reduction in pain compared to Norco 10/325, 2-3 a day. In fact, I had more pain. Terrible side effects including a spike in blood pressure, headache, felt woozy, rapid pulse, and what I believe to be an anxiety attack. It was a nightmare, and all I could do was wait for it to finally wear off. I have impaired kidneys, so it took 36 hours to leave my system. Horrible experience!"

For Pain "My doctor just put me on Hysingla ER about a week ago. I take them faithfully every morning at 10 a.m., and every morning I wake up with withdrawals. I have to take 2-4 hydros besides the ER during the day for breakthrough pain. When I wake up in the morning, wow!!! My heart races, my palms are sweaty, extreme anxiety. I've been having to take a regular hydro in the mornings before the Hysingla ER just to tolerate the withdrawals and pain! Maybe being that it has only been going on 1 week since starting, that it's wearing off before the 24 hours. Not sure, but I know this never happened with OxyContin. Will have to wait and see, if not better by my next appointment, I am definitely changing medications."

For Pain "I have 3 herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and osteoarthritis. I suffer from constant pain every day. I've been on Norco 10/325 4x a day for 3 years now and never abused my medication. A few months ago, my doctor had me try Hysingla ER 40 mg. This medication only lasts about 17 hours and gave me about 30-40% relief with random breakthrough pain. Plus, I felt lethargic the entire day, nauseous, constipated, anxious, and excessive yawning. After putting up with it for two months, I talked with my doctor, and he switched me back to the Norco. So disappointed. I had high hopes for this medication since it was one pill every 24 hours. It just does not work as promised and is expensive."

For Pain "I’ve been suffering from chronic pain for 6 years now due to 3 lumbar herniated discs and osteoarthritis. I’ve been taking Norco 10/325 4 times a day with okay relief. Recently, my doctor had me try Hysingla 40 mg, and honestly, it just doesn’t work! It only lasts about 16-18 hours, and it made me feel very lethargic, anxious, and I would have a lot of breakthrough pain throughout the day, plus it was $413!! My insurance refused to cover it. After talking with my doctor, he switched me to MS Contin. That medication so far has worked so much better than any other extended-release opioid. If you suffer from chronic pain, I recommend you try MS Contin. It works great, and it’s very cheap even without insurance."
