For Pain "This medicine took forever to work at all and didn't touch my foot, back, knee, or migraine pain. What it did do is make me horribly nauseous, gave me hot sweats and shakes, made my hair fall out by the handful, and costs almost $200 for 30 pills. The prescription card only covers a month, but it was time and money wasted. What a horrible experience!"

For Pain "MS Contin 60 mg daily since 1998 with breakthrough pain combo with MSC-IR 30 mg 3x day. Some dizziness and nausea at times with MS Contin. Began Hysingla ER 60 mg daily 3 months ago with excellent results. No lumbar pain. 80% CSPINE pain reduction and NO side effects period. It does work around the clock. Chronic discogenic pain in lumbar since 1989 post 3 level lumbar laminectomy. PCDF C2-C5 and ACDF C5-C6 with 80% pain relief. Miracle Rx for me! NO addiction issues. Feel NO high with sustained release meds. Just wish the price will go down soon! Highly recommend for those with moderate-severe lumbar pain that tolerate opiates well. Also, like MSC, NO liver panels."

For Pain "I have been taking Hysingla 40 ER for approximately 2 weeks. I am experiencing a severe headache, nausea, and the pain has not subsided one bit. I have tried taking this medicine at different times of the day, hoping it was just the time frame. I have severe withdrawal symptoms and cannot function. I'm very close to losing my job. I was not abusing my Norco, why am I being punished for drug addicts??!!!"

For Pain "I have 3 herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and osteoarthritis. I suffer from constant pain every day. I've been on Norco 10/325 4x a day for 3 years now and never abused my medication. A few months ago, my doctor had me try Hysingla ER 40 mg. This medication only lasts about 17 hours and gave me about 30-40% relief with random breakthrough pain. Plus, I felt lethargic the entire day, nauseous, constipated, anxious, and excessive yawning. After putting up with it for two months, I talked with my doctor, and he switched me back to the Norco. So disappointed. I had high hopes for this medication since it was one pill every 24 hours. It just does not work as promised and is expensive."

For Pain "I'm currently on oxycodone 5 mg 3 times a day. I talked with my Dr about the extended-release option, and he prescribed Hysingla 20 mg for 24 hours. I had high hopes for this because I was hoping for continued pain relief. When my insurance finally approved me for this medication, I was happy, that was until I took my first few day's doses. It was just too strong, and I felt nauseous and sick the whole time I was on this medication. I was going to see my Dr the next month to get back my regular prescription. Hopefully, something will come on the market that works for 24 hours without making me sick."

For Pain "I have been taking Hysingla 20 mg for a month. I was taking Norco 5-325 up to 4 a day for chronic back pain post-6 surgeries. I was switched to Hysingla due to elevated liver enzymes from Tylenol. I have bile duct structure and do what I can to keep liver enzymes lower. I only took what I absolutely had to daily of Norco, averaging 2 Norco a day. Since I have started the Hysingla, I have had a moderately severe headache and nausea every day. I'm not sure which is worse, the liver pain or headache. The nausea I tolerate. I have decided to stop taking the Hysingla and go back to the Norco. I would rather take as little as possible of medication and still be in pain than have an increase in pain and be flat on my back for 6 hours with a headache."

For Pain "24-hour medicine for pain. I only got 6 hours of minimal relief. Started on the 20 mg for 1 month, then Dr. switched me to 40 mg for 1 month, then 30 mg for 1 month. It always seemed to start working long after I took it, about 12 hours, and made me extremely sleepy and tired, along with pain. In the 3 months I took it, I gained 15 pounds without even eating more or differently because I was constantly nauseous with it. Who wants food when queasy? I have been prescribed an instant release pain med and have been on it for 2 days. It works great with no side effects, and I have lost the 7 lbs of the 15 that Hysingla made me gain. Hopefully, the other 8 lbs will come off quickly too because the weight gain from the drug caused my A1C to go"

For Pain "I took 10 mg, 3x a day hydrocodone for a year prior to a new pain doc in a new state requiring I switch to Hysingla ER. I had only had one 10 mg hydrocodone for each of the two days prior to beginning the Hysingla, so this was not withdrawals. An hour after the 20 mg pill, my heart was pounding hard, short of breath, which progressed to severe abdominal pain, nausea, the worst pain of my life (easily 2-3x my very worst days with stage 3 adhesive arachnoiditis, Ehlers-Danlos, and innumerable tarlov cysts on my spinal cord), joint pain, muscle pain and spasms, and I could literally feel my CSF pulsing in my spinal cord. The doc actually made me take a second dose because she thought I was in withdrawal. I vomited the 2nd one and nearly aspirated it."

For Pain "Update. Took Hysingla 30 mg for 1 month, with 10/325 Norco. Hysingla A.M. gave severe headaches and nausea. I switched to 10 pm and now I wake up less stiff, but can't tell the difference during the day. I still do Norco every 4 hours. I had a caudal epidural injection today. It was supposed to be my follow-up appointment too, but never had a chance to speak to the PA about the new Hysingla. She mentioned last month if I tolerated it well, she may increase the dose to 40 mg. I've tried to research 80 mg per day total, but can't find the answer, I know that's what she'll look at. I'd like to call and ask about getting Hysingla corrected to 40 mg for this month instead. I hate to waste money for no improvements again. I won't know if the caudal worked for a few days yet, all other injections only lasted 1-2 weeks. Answers??"
