"Suffer SOBOE(shortness of breath on exertion). Dr. says COPD but I am a latent asthmatic with no attacks in 25 yrs. I am 85, go to Senior aerobics in the fall to get ready for skiing. Been skiing for 75 yrs. So I am not a basket case. Doubling up on Advair did not help. Moved to Breo with 10-15% better. On Trelegy trial (20 doses) with noticeably better. Cost in Canada about $105-have not paid yet. Benefit plan + plus Govt. health pgm. PAY. "

For COPD "I was put on it in the hospital while being treated for an acute COPD flare-up. I have also had asthma most of my life. It seems to help a lot with only one dose a day for me. Downside is it's really expensive and my insurance didn't want to cover it right away, I guess because it's so new. Possible side effects for me were dry mouth and feeling a little amped up. I attribute the speedy effects to getting used to a new bronchodilator... which generally has stimulant effects. It seems to bother me less as I get used to it. In all, it's been a major help in getting my air back."

For COPD "My doctor has given me free samples. I have never felt better. I am a senior citizen and unfortunately, I cannot afford this medication so I guess I will have to just gasp for breath the rest of my days."

For COPD "I tried sample doses provided by the doctor for 4 weeks but ended up stopping. I also have an autoimmune disease, and I felt worse on Trelegy, even though my breathing was better. I went back to my non-steroidal inhaler."

For COPD "I started using Trelegy Ellipta for my COPD around 6 months ago. I was using Dulera & Symbicort for around 5 years. The Trelegy 200 that I was prescribed worked great for 2 months. I now have a worse breathing problem than I had before!"

For Asthma "Since being on Trelegy, I have not had a serious asthma attack - not having to call an ambulance or ending up in the hospital. I am 78 years old and was finally diagnosed in my 70s with 'late onset silent asthma'."

For COPD "All my physicians prescribed it for my COPD, but I used it as directed and I could sense no special improvement and I am slowly beginning to have more problems with blurry vision and urinary retention. Plus two episodes of A.Fib which required emergency drip of Metoprolol to stop. I discontinued Trelegy Ellipta on my own, without asking physicians several months ago and have not regretted it. I won't be taking it again. It seems high risk for me without enough benefit. However, for most patients I think the physician should be consulted before discontinuing."

For COPD "I was given Trelegy by the pulmonary office to try; it was a sample. I was diagnosed 5 years ago with severe COPD. I would swear that this is a miracle drug. When I first used it, I didn't expect much, but it actually worked. Now I found out that Medicaid won't pay for it. I'm now on oxygen 24/7. I realize that it's expensive, but if you can't breathe, I suggest finding a way to get it."

For COPD "It works better than anything else but is way too expensive, and my insurance will not cover it. I'm on Medicare and Braven Medicare choice. This is not a matter of choice, I just simply cannot afford it."

For COPD "My breathing is much better. I don't need albuterol now. I was using albuterol multiple times a day. Side effects of Trelegy have been: hyperalertness, elevated mood, insomnia, increased appetite. I have to have more than 24-36 hours between doses. I am experimenting with a good schedule. Easy to use, similar to other inhalers. I don't know if my doctor will keep me on this drug. I have adverse reactions to many medications."

For Asthma "I have moderate to severe asthma, with air trapping and hyperinflation, and bronchiectasis. Also, a reduction in FVC, FEV1, and especially MVV. I've tried Spiriva, Symbicort, Breo, and Advair, but I still needed a rescue inhaler often. Then my breathing has gotten much worse. I can't breathe after approximately 10 minutes of laying prone. I have to sit up because I'm gasping for breath. Also, now whenever I move, I get out of breath. The last month has been significantly worse. I switched to Trelegy Ellipta to try (but cringed at the cost). My breathing has been much improved on Trelegy Ellipta, but I can't afford it. I'm almost out, only have a few days left. I've contacted GSK ASSISTANCE for help because Medicare won't provide assistance. I can't breathe without this medicine. The dosage is 200mcg/62.5mcg/25mcg, once a day. I hope this helps."

For COPD "Have taken trelegy for 1 year - it works but had to stop taking it as the cost went from $131 for 3 months to $500 for 3 months supply. Being a senior, the mfr is taking us to the cleaners. Living on a budget you have to decide what to take food or no food. I know this will not make a different to the mfrs. Thought drugs were suppose to be going down, but guess not."

For COPD "I was taking Trelegy for 10 days, was working well for me, after about three doses I noticed my voice was becoming very hoarse, this continued to the point where I lost my voice completely after approx 7 doses I immediately stoped using it. It has been 3 weeks since I stoped using it and my voice is still not back to normal"

"Worked very well for a week, with less breathlessness, faster recovery, good energy levels, much less fatigue and tiredness, and a general sense of 'this is better'. Then on day 8, all the benefits vanished and I was left with a foul-tasting mouth and flatulence that would clear out a world war one trench of a hundred conscripts."

For COPD "I have COPD and have been on every inhaler on the market. None of them give me enough relief to be able to carry out daily activities. The problem I find with all of the dry powdered inhalers is that most of the powder ends up in the back of my throat. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, or if anyone else has this problem, but it means that the medication is not getting into my lungs. I may have side effects from Trelegy, it's hard to sell since I have some side effects from all of them."

For COPD "I have been on Trelegy for four months for stage 4 COPD. It seems to have a real positive effect on stopping exacerbations or flare ups. Only side effect I have experienced is a little goop around my eyes in the morning. You definitely need to rinse out your mouth after using it, otherwise thrush condition will set in. This medication makes managing COPD a lot easier. Very easy to use the inhaler with the counter. The government should force the tobacco companies pay for this drug."

For Asthma "Trelegy Ellipta is a game changer for my asthma, but the increase in heart rate is not worth it, plus the fluid retention. Heart rate goes from normal in the 60s to 80s to the high 90s. Sadly the side effects are too much for me. Great drug other than my side effects."

For COPD "When I first starting using Trelegy I felt great that my lungs were opened up, I wasn't doing it daily, I ended up in the hospital with upper respiratory infection, so I stopped taking it for a while, well when I started back on it it's not as worthy as it was, but now I'm experiencing bladder problems. So I I've got to stop taking it again. I know there is a God that will help me. Good luck everyone."

For COPD "Been trying to get the VA to authorize Trelegy for me. My pulmonologist gave me two 14-day samples and I couldn't believe the relief in breathing it provided for me. The doctor wrote a prescription for me to take to Walmart, but the price was $799.00 which I couldn't afford. I requested that my prescription be sent to the VA, but they want me to take a cheaper medication that cannot provide me with the same relief as Trelegy. I am fighting with the VA. I have two doctors, one is a VA doctor and the other is a community one trying to help the VA to authorize it. I pray and hope they will comply with the doctors' orders. I rate Trelegy a 111%."

For COPD "Had a 2 week trial usage of Trelegy and was going great for the 1st week used every morning, breathing really improved but during the 2nd week I got recurrent very bad sore (at night only) throat even tho I thoroughly rinse afterward and brush, hoarseness with deep cough to clear airway, became very nasally like I was catching a cold during the early part of days after getting out of bed, headaches, and also at night very bright halo around images on TV which hurt my eyes trying to focus. Will not continue using."

For COPD "Trelegy Ellipta (TE) works as described and certainly helps me live a more active life, however... I have concerns with the apparent similarities between TE's 'side-effects' and the actual symptoms of COPD; 'shortness of breath', wheezing. Do I suffer from side-effects or under/over medical treatment? I will be discussing this with my GP shortly and hope to better understand the difference between side-effects and the common symptoms of COPD."

For COPD "I suffer with COPD and emphysema since 2020, and had been hospitalized after an exacerbation attack in 2021. At the time, I was using an inhaler and could not breathe deeply without violent coughing spasms. However, upon my release from hospital I was prescribed Trelegy and within 45 minutes after inhaling first dose I literally felt a lessening of tightness in my chest and I could finally take a deep breath. Two years later, I still feel less tension in my lungs, I cough up less sputum, and am comfortable sleeping at night. The Trelegy inhaler is extremely easy to use and counts down from 30 after each use. I am thankful beyond description for this product!"

For Asthma "I used Trelegy Ellipta for three months. I found it did not last 24 hours but rather after 7 hours, I had to use my rescue inhaler. I started to have leg cramps and spasms in the second month of use. I also noticed increased blood pressure. After the third month, I stopped using this medication and switched to a different medication."
